The Twenty One Gun Podcast is a fantastic show that brings the military community together in a much-needed way. In our current environment, where veterans can sometimes feel isolated or disconnected, this podcast serves as a platform for open discussions and meaningful conversations. Hosted by Kevin Sullivan, who himself is a veteran, the show strikes the perfect balance between emotional and motivational content. It's like the three little bears - not too emotional, not too motivating, but just right.

One of the best aspects of The Twenty One Gun Podcast is Kevin's ability to navigate sensitive topics with grace and respect. As a veteran himself, he understands the severity of certain questions and demonstrates proper etiquette when asking them. This creates an environment where guests feel comfortable opening up and sharing their experiences. It's refreshing to listen to interviews where individuals can speak openly without being put on the spot or feeling misunderstood.

On the flip side, one of the worst aspects of this podcast is the lack of sponsors. While it may seem like a trivial complaint, having more sponsors would allow for more frequent episodes. The content provided by The Twenty One Gun Podcast is incredibly valuable and important for both veterans and civilians alike. Having regular episodes would ensure that listeners have consistent access to these insightful discussions and stories.

In conclusion, The Twenty One Gun Podcast is a must-listen for anyone interested in gaining deeper insights into military life and fostering connections within the veteran community. Kevin Sullivan's expertise as a veteran himself shines through in his ability to ask thoughtful questions while maintaining a respectful atmosphere. With its perfect balance of emotion and motivation, this podcast stands out among others in its genre. If only there were more sponsors on board so we could tune in weekly!

After receiving few and contradictory details about the ambush, she took it upon herself to find the answers. She trained herself to be an investigative journalist and conducted exclusive interviews with the survivors of her late husband's unit and researched military leadership and accountability to tell a previously unknown story.  Michelle and I had a nice talk about the meaning of family, life as a mil-spouse, raising children and the search for truth - no matter how painful. Tonight we will start with the usual weekly recap of IW events and veteran themed news of the week. Special Guest is Jarred Prewitt. He and fellow Marine Matt Gregorio are currently writing a book called "Deathwalker Marines" to immortalize the actions of their unit during the Global War on Terror. Jarred was a Designated Marksman in Second Platoon, Cold Steel (Charlie Company) for Ramadi, Iraq Sept 2006-May 2007. Anbar Awakening. He was a Squad Leader in Garmser, Afghanistan March 2008-October 2008. A part of two “Surges”. In Jarred's words: "We want to interview as many 1/6 Marines/Attachments/Co-Units that worked with us during the time we were in along with those that came before and after us. We want to tell the story as honestly and completely as we can. Two perspectives can’t tell the entire story of the Anbar Awakening. We’ll never be able to get it all, but that’s not going to keep us from trying anyways. Goals of the book: It’s a multi-layered story of successes from the GWOT that were overlooked and/or forgotten about. The issue of mental health and the plague of suicide. We saw a lot of combat, our KIA list is long, but our post-war deaths at home list is three times as long. It’s a serious problem. It can’t be highlighted enough. The bevy of health issues that veterans deal with. Visit www.irreverentwarriors.com  for a list of all upcoming #Silkieshikes! Tonight's guest is Patrick Little, founder of 22 Sierra Coffee Co. Patrick served in the United States Air Force between 2011 and 2017, separating as a Cyber Transport Systems Supervisor. After basic training and tech school, he spent his entire enlistment at Barksdale AFB, LA. Patrick was deployed to Bagram AF, Afghanistan, from October 2015 to April 2016. He obtained his undergrad from Ashford University in 2014 and is an MBA Candidate at Boise State University, scheduled to graduate in the Spring of 2021. His passion to prevent suicide stems from the loss of two Air Force friends and co-workers along with several childhood friends. 22 Sierra Coffee Co. was founded by USAF veterans with a mission to help end veteran suicide. Based on recent VA studies, we lose an average of 17 to 22 Veterans to suicide each day. Since the 2011 VA study, the number 22 has become a symbol associated with veteran suicide awareness. No matter the current statistic, we believe that even one veteran dying by suicide is too many. Through our partners, we help connect veterans and first responders to mental health resources, support networks, and activities designed to build camaraderie and/or improve the symptoms of post-traumatic stress. Each month, we donate at least $1 from every coffee product sold online to our partners and other organizations sharing our Cause.
