Kontrola do kontroli?

The Kara Report | Online Marketing Tips and Candid Business Conversations
How do we actually come up with ideas for our marketing content? That's exactly what I want to know, and Nicole Czarnecki has answers. Nicole is absolutely brilliant at the creative side of marketing, especially the kind that's very intentional and designed to drive real results. Sometimes, we think of marketers as either creative types or data-driven types. Personally, I lean more towards the blogging side because I don't consider myself overly creative—I find the keyword first, and then the idea follows. On the other hand, those who excel at social media content tend to lean more into the creative piece, though, of course, there are exceptions. But here's the thing about Nicole: she's incredibly creative, yet you'd never expect her to be so strategically focused. After many conversations with her, I'm consistently blown away by her brilliance, and I'm beyond excited to share our latest conversation with you on the podcast today. So, let's get into it!
Want to get in touch? Send Claire a message! In Episode 96 of the Eat for Endurance Podcast, sports dietitian Brooke Czarnecki of Intentful Nutrition joins me on the pod to help me answer a listener question. This person asked to learn more about organic foods as a runner, and also mentioned that she tries to minimize processed foods surrounding her runs. This inspired me to do an episode on organic versus conventional foods and “processed” versus “unprocessed” foods for athletes. I added a quick GMO chat at the end because it's relevant to this discussion. There's so much confusion, fear-mongering, and extremism when it comes to making nutrition decisions, especially regarding organic, “processed” (in quotes because it's not clearly defined) and GMO foods. For example, there is a widespread belief that if something is labeled organic or non-GMO, it must be nutritionally superior. But that's not true. In reality, this conversation is nuanced and complicated, and cannot be approached with the black-and-white way of thinking that so many people in the health and wellness space love to adopt. Brooke and I did our best to hit the main points, though there are some gaps in what we cover (especially on GMO foods). We define some key terms, differentiate between opinion and science (while throwing plenty of our own opinions in the mix), and talk about how all of this applies to you, as an athlete, in your everyday eating and performance nutrition. Our overarching message is that the right decision is the one that works best for you. If you want to buy organic, minimally processed, non-GMO foods and products, go for it. AND... There's s no conclusive evidence that organic food is healthier than conventional food. Highly processed foods, including sports nutrition products, have a place in an overall balanced diet, if you want to include them (most endurance athletes need to). Current evidence does not universally support GMO foods as harmful. YOU get to choose how you want to eat. We're just here to tell you that you don't HAVE to buy organic and swear off all “processed” non-GMO foods to be a healthy, worthy human and athlete. Alex Czarnecki is leading the charge at Cottage, focused on modernizing the way in which homeowners can build ADUs. The popularity of ADUs only seems to grow as housing becomes tougher to afford while legacy zoning laws have made it very difficult to build new, infill housing units. With legislation changes to zoning laws and increased focused on units such as ADUs, it's no wonder the opportunity to revolutionize this segment of real estate is only accelerating. Even though Cottage has only been in business for a little more than two years, the've completed projects in over 100 California cities, with a focus on the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas. Alex breaks the opportunity down, mentioning this is not a winner take all game, but rather, there will be many winners (ideally that also means homeowners and renters win in all of this, as well). Listen in as Alex breaks down the hubbub around ADUs.More about Alex and CottageCottage is an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) design-build firm committed to providing homeowners with the easiest process to build additional housing. As its primary focus, Cottage delivers ADUs, enabling homeowners to earn rental income or provide greatly needed housing to their family or local community by adding an extra unit to their home. Made up of architects, builders, and technologists, Cottage leverages their expertise in every step of the design and build process to build ADUs faster, with transparent pricing from the start, while simultaneously maintaining the highest standards for customization and quality. Meanwhile, contractors on the platform get a pipeline of projects and time-saving tools, so they can focus on providing quality work and client service.Alex Czarnecki, CEO of Cottage, wants to help homeowners and contractors build more and build better. After forging a career launching new business units for Uber around the world, Alex took on the challenge of building his own ADU, but after confronting delays through an overly complex process, he knew there had to be a better way. Since its founding in 2020, Cottage has expanded to more than 100 California cities – and growing – to help homeowners get more out of their home with an ADU.
