In dieser Folge haben wir nach unserem kleinen KI Exkurs wieder Gäste und zwar Matthias Wegner und seinen Sohn Simon. Oskar hat Matthias im letzten Jahr bei einem Arbeitsevent kennengelernt und aus einem geplanten kurzen Austausch wurde ein langes Gespräch über Führung, Zukunft der Arbeit und die Frage, wie Menschen wirklich wachsen können. Jetzt setzen wir dieses Gespräch fort. Diesmal mit Simon, der im zweiten Semester Volkswirtschaftslehre studiert und von seinem Vater, wie er selbst sagt, „ein bisschen blind“ in diese Folge geschubst wurde. Was dann entsteht, ist ein sehr besonderes Gespräch über Familie, Führung und KI. Matthias erzählt von seinem eigenen Weg, von seiner Rolle als ehemaliger Geschäftsführer bei JobRad, seinem Sabbatical, seinem Buch über skalierende Führung und davon, warum Führung für ihn vor allem bedeutet, Räume zu schaffen, in denen Menschen Verantwortung übernehmen können. Simon beschreibt sehr offen, wie er die Erziehung seines Vaters erlebt hat. Mit viel Freiheit, viel Vertrauen, klarer Orientierung, aber wenig Kontrolle. Schule war nicht der Ort, an dem alles perfekt laufen musste. Entscheidend war es zu bestehen, Interessen zu finden und den eigenen Weg gehen. Heute studiert er in Mannheim und arbeitet intensiv mit KI-Tools, wie Claude Code als integralem Bestandteil seines Lernens und Arbeitens. Wir sprechen darüber, warum gute Elternschaft und gute Führung vielleicht mehr gemeinsam haben, als viele glauben. Vor allem im Bezug auf Vertrauen, Rahmensetzung und Beziehung. Matthias fasst es so zusammen: Es ist wichtiger, in Beziehung zu sein, als im Recht zu sein. Ein großer Teil der Folge dreht sich um KI. Matthias spricht von einem „digitalen Tsunami“ und zieht den Vergleich zur Atombombe, weil auch hier die Menschheit gerade mit einer Technologie umgeht, deren Wirkung sie noch nicht vollständig verstanden hat. Für ihn ist klar, dass wir viel stärker über Verantwortung, Ethik und Befähigung sprechen müssen. Simon bringt die Perspektive eines jungen Menschen ein, der mit KI im Studium und Projekten selbstverständlich arbeitet. Er nutzt KI zur Stoffverdichtung, zur Prüfungsvorbereitung, für Modelle und eigene Projekte. Gleichzeitig beschreibt er sehr klar, dass man die Ergebnisse überprüfen können muss. KI ersetzt nicht das Denken. Sie erhöht die Anforderungen daran. Besonders stark ist Simons Bild von der Zukunft der Arbeit, in der Mitarbeitende künftig ihre eigenen Agenten mitbringen, wie ein Dirigent sein Orchester. Wer die Tools beherrscht, kann mehr leisten. Aber er oder sie muss auch Verantwortung für das Ergebnis übernehmen. Unsere Take-aways aus dieser Folge: Erstens: Gute Führung beginnt mit Beziehung. Wer nur Recht haben will, verliert die Verbindung. Wer Verbindung hält, schafft Entwicklung. Zweitens: Freiheit braucht Rahmen. Menschen wachsen nicht durch Mikromanagement, sondern durch Vertrauen, Orientierung und die Chance, eigene Erfahrungen zu machen. Drittens: KI verändert das Lernen radikal. Die Frage ist nicht mehr, ob junge Menschen KI nutzen, sondern ob sie lernen, die Ergebnisse kritisch zu prüfen. Viertens: Selbstwirksamkeit entsteht durch Erfahrung. Simon beschreibt eindrucksvoll, wie viele eigene Projekte, Versuche, Erfolge und Irrwege sein Selbstvertrauen geprägt haben. Fünftens: Die Zukunft der Arbeit braucht Dirigierende. Menschen, die KI-Systeme nicht nur bedienen, sondern orchestrieren, bewerten und verantworten können. Diese Folge ist anders als viele unserer bisherigen Gespräche und gerade deshalb so besonders. Sie zeigt, wie viel entstehen kann, wenn Generationen nicht übereinander sprechen, sondern miteinander. Zum Schluss bleibt für uns eine Frage: Wo könntest du Menschen mehr Raum geben, selbst wirksam zu werden, als Elternteil, Führungskraft, Kollegin oder Freundin? She says Wisconsin continues to respond to the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak that began in 2022. New cases were confirmed in early 2026 within commercial operations in Jefferson and Walworth counties. SPECIAL EPISODE – An exclusive interview upon his decision to publicly share his story, this conversation contains tears as well as (caution) mention of suicide.  He just finished season number 27 as a Major League Baseball umpire, including having been the crew chief for the Dodgers-Blue Jays World Series, for which he was the home plate umpire for Game 3. As a youth he had played baseball and was on his high school's team, including winning back-to-back state championships. He umpired in the minor leagues for seven years before being hired full-time in MLB. He has umpired three World Series, five Wild Card series, ten Division Series, five League Championship Series, three World Baseball Classics, and two All-Star Games, including having been the home plate umpire and crew chief of the 2018 All-Star Game.
