What do kids want in a family? The interesting thing is they are too young to know. They will come up with all kinds of answers that are often hilarious. However, if you dig deep, you find out that kids want parents who are constant, consistent, and calm. This is the coolest thing you can do for your family. Too many parents today want to be “liked” or focus their whole lives on their kids. This isn't good because it puts the kids in charge and they become the center of the family. Their mindset will get messed up and they will think they are the center of the universe. What kids want and what they need are two different things and it's up to you to work to give them what they need instead of what they want. Yep, this means we have to do the work, but we are men and that's what we do.ConstantKids want constant predictable parentsThis doesn't mean boring, but not full of dramaTheir life has good routines and the kids are includedThey want parents who love them and love each otherThis constant love feeds their lifeThey want parents who act consistent and don't “change” when the kid's friends are around or when they get around other adultsConsistentWe should be present at our current age and love life where we are as adultsOwn the fact that you are a dad and embrace itIf all you talk about are the “good old days” you are communicating that becoming an adult stinksLet them know that as they get older they gain wisdom and that is better than being youngThis means we may have to do things to work on our lives and fix itIf you need help in areas of your life, get the help, and don't expect your child to “fix” you or to live through themCalmLet them see that you are not living on emotional highs and lowsYou should not act like a middle schoolerHelp them see the long-term view of lifeBe empathetic but also help them see the things you have learnedThese stories help them get perspective on where they are atTell the stories before they need them so they can remember themBe the adult. That Show Hasn't Been Funny In Years: an SNL podcast on Radio Misfits
Dave Attell is one of the best and most influential stand-up comedians of the past three decades. His uproarious nightclub shows, brilliant TV specials, guest appearances on talk shows, regular spots on "The Daily Show," and his groundbreaking and hilarious show "Insomniac with Dave Attell," have cemented his reputation as a comedy legend, especially in New York. However, his stint on "Saturday Night Live" was short-lived and rather unmemorable. Attell was hired as a writer and background performer after Lorne Michaels saw his very first network television appearance on "The Late Show With David Letterman" (which you will hear in this episode). Despite his talent, SNL and Dave Attell never really meshed. In this episode, you'll hear the background stories of why SNL didn't work for Attell, how his stand-up was completely different from his work on the show, and you'll listen to sketches and jokes he wrote during his tenure. Sometimes, even the best comic minds don't fit into the world of "Saturday Night Live," and that's certainly the case here. [Ep80]

On today's episode of Juskow in the City, we head down to West 11th Street in the Greenwich Village twice this week for a restaurant that has been there since 1919 and I've never been to or heard of and yet I was there twice in five days. One of them was to celebrate the G.O.A.T.'s birthday, Dave Attell. Some annoying lady just sat down with us for the entire meal as Attell barraged her with insults she didn't seem to understand, which made the evening a legendary night. Also, first day of the new semester with lots more kids; my new thing of yelling at construction workers, that I feel seem suspicious when I've been drinking and discovering a new way to wear boats (lady's listen up) - you're welcome in advance.

How do you find remote work? Or how do you make your existing job remote? Have you ever sat in your cubicle and asked yourself that question? Or sat in your car stopped in traffic and wondering if you really need to go into the office? With technology today, it's easier and easier to work remotely. And there are a lot more jobs out there that allow for remote work.If remote work is something that you've always wondered about, then this episode is for you. My guest this week is Camille Attell who specializes in helping people understand why and how they want to fit remote work into their life. She helps them define how they can repurpose the skills they have, and then helps coaches them on finding the remote work. But that wasn't where Camille started. Camille is someone who worked in a corporate gig, just like so many of us. And also like so many of us, she and her husband woke up one day and said ‘why are we doing this?' and ‘do we want to keep doing this for another 20 years??'This was the struggle that I had when I decided to leave the Corporate life, and I know it's the struggle that so many of you out there are having too.I learned a lot from her in this episode and you will too. We talk about what to expect from remote work, how to transition your current job to remote work, how to avoid being scammed and how to find remote work WITHOUT taking a pay cut.Camille and I both share our experience with remote work. So if you are someone who is truly interested in understanding if remote work is right for you, then this podcast will get you started. And you can find all the links mentioned in the podcast @ thecareerreset.com/19

Comedians Dave Attell, Nick Di Paolo and Mike Vecchione all sit in and wonder what the hell they are doing there. RiotCast.com
Konnichiwa! Your mommies are happy to welcome their first Asian into the mommydome! Comedian, history buff, Tonight Show fan, and porn aficionado, Yoshi Obayashi. It's a super fun show that touches nearly every topic. I dare other podcasts to step to this! (Oh SHIT, no he didn't!) We discuss our mutual love and admiration for Dave Attell, racism, stereotypes, Yoshi's affiliation with the adult business, his many interestes and travels, and our favorite story ever of someone unknowingly eating drugs! Great episode! Pull those jeans up!
KABOOM! Guess who stepped in the room? TICAL! or YOSHI! Back with more of that ISH you just can't get enough. Our conversation with Yoshi was so loaded we HAD to split it up into TWO episodes. Here is more of what you came for, part 2 of Yoshi's return with a real "talking to" about prostitution. Get your jeans ready for a brand new belt! SUSHI!
Chang chong ping pong! Guess who's back? It's the great Yoshi! This is by far one of the craziest episodes we've ever done. Yoshi goes deep. Deep into his mind, soul, and past. He shares a lot and it's fantastic, compelling, terrifying, sad and hilarious all at once. What a guest! There's no way we can describe everything we talk about, but here are some key words: Porn, fighting, death, fleeing, kids, blood, hookers. What do you think? Yeah, I thought so. Come back in 2 days for part 2, Geisha Jeans!
In episode 29 of The Perfect 10, Ralphie May and Lahna Turner try to figure out the meaning of life. Lahna talks to comedians Dave Attell and Andy Dick, along with some celebrity impersonators on Hollywood Blvd. about what they think it is. She speaks to Pat Carlin, brother of George and author of "Que F*ckin Sabe?," aka "Who F*ckin Knows?" which is about the very topic of life's meaning. The band of the week, live from Nashville, is Richie.
