Manhattan. Im Metropolitan Correctional Center, einem Hochsicherheitsgefängnis in unmittelbarer Nähe zu Gerichten und Bundesbehörden, wird eine Zellentür geöffnet. Der Insasse liegt regungslos auf dem Boden. Um seinen Hals ist ein Bettlaken geschlungen. Wenige Stunden später geht die Nachricht um die Welt. Der Milliardenschwere Finanzier Jeffrey Epstein ist tot. Die Offizielle Todesursache: Suizid durch Erhängen. Ein Mann, der noch Wochen zuvor um Hausarrest in seinem Manhattan-Townhouse gegen eine Kaution von rund 100 Millionen Dollar gebeten hatte, soll sich nun in seiner Gefängniszelle das Leben genommen haben. Sofort kommen Fragen auf: Warum funktionierten die Kameras zum Zeitpunkt seines Todes nicht? Warum führten die Wachbeamten ihre Kontrollgänge nicht durch? Und warum stand Epstein nicht mehr unter besonderer Beobachtung, obwohl es zuvor bereits einen Zwischenfall gegeben hatte? Epsteins Tod beendete das Verfahren und damit mögliche Aussagen und die Chance auf einen öffentlichen Prozess. #292: Am 23. Juni 2002 steht die 15-jährige Kara Robinson im Vorgarten eines Hauses in Lexington, South Carolina, als ein Wagen am Straßenrand vorbeifährt. Plötzlich dreht das Auto um und fährt auf die Einfahrt. Ein Mann steigt aus und kommt auf Kara zu. Er sagt, er habe ein paar Zeitschriften dabei und will wissen, ob Karas Mutter zu Hause ist. Die verneint. Der Mann kommt näher. Kara will, dass er wieder geht, also nimmt sie schnell die Magazine an. Doch als sie gerade zurück zum Haus gehen will, zückt der Mann eine Pistole und hält sie an ihren Hals. So, als wäre es das Normalste der Welt, sagt er freundlich, dass sie jetzt mitkommen soll. Und dass er sie umbringt, wenn sie schreit. An diesem Tag verschwindet Kara spurlos. Pferde wollen synchronisieren - das beruhigt ihre NervenDass Dir Dein Pferd wie Dein Schatten folgt ist auch dieVoraussetzung für Freiarbeit. Grundsätzlich sind Pferde ja Herdentiere. Sie möchten sich mitdem Ranghöheren synchronisieren, folgen Dir im Idealfall daher gerne, wenn das mit dem Respekt passt. Denn Synchronisation beruhigt die Nerven. Eine gute Übung fürs Synchronisieren und eine gute Vorbereitung für die Freiarbeit ist das Spiel „Stick to me“, empfiehlt Parelli-Instruktorin @ElisabethMusil.Man nimmt das Pferd an einem Halfter oder Knotenhalfter an einem  nicht zu langem Führseil. In der anderen Hand hält man einen Horsemanship-Stick, sprich Gerte mit einem kleinen Seil am Ende. Man beginnt zum Beispiel an der Bande und wendet immer wieder nach innen ab (90 bis 180 Grad) . Das Pferd sollte einem  dabei bei einem locker durchhängenden Seil folgen.Wenn es nciht folgen möchte kann man mit dem Stick, den man hinter seinem Rücken wachelt, etwas nachhelfen. Das Stick-to-me-Spiel kann man gut und gerne eine viertel Stunde machen und dann erst die Seite wechseln. Wenn es wirklich gut funktioniert, kann man als nächsten Schritt zur Freiarbeit das Halfter nur um den Hals binden und am Seil führen und zu guter Letzt das Strickende – Achtung, Sicherheit geht vor – locker an seineb Gürtel befestigen, damit man die Hände frei hat. Man sollte sich aber nicht zu viel zutrauen, nicht zu früh ohne Seil arbeiten, rät Elisabeth, um zum Ziel „Liberty“ zu kommen ist dann der Weg meist länger. Elisabeth sieht das Wohlergehen der Pferde ganzheitlich. Fürdas Nervenkostüm und die allgemeine Fitness  seines Pferdes kann man auch mit einer maßgeschneidertenFütterung  viel erzielen. Dabei ist die 29-jährige Weltklasse-Athletin aus dem Erzgebirge bei der Entscheidung im Eiskanal von Cortina d'Ampezzo alles - nur nicht Favoritin. Anders vor vier Jahren bei den Winterspielen in Peking war es genau andersherum. Und damals wie diesmal dabei: der Wintersportpodcast „Dreierbob“ von Sächsische.de und RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland (RND). Damals stürzte Taubitz, diesmal fuhr sie allen davon und gewann mit einem Rekord-Vorsprung. Am Podcast-Mikrofon erzählt die Weltklasse-Rodlerin, wie sie das Trauma verarbeitet hat und damit ihr Kindheitstraum überhaupt noch wahr werden konnte. Für das Gespräch trifft sie sich mit Dreierbob-Co-Host und SZ-Sportchef Tino Meyer im Deutschen Haus. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt ist der Triumph gerade einmal gut zwölf Stunden her. Sie sagt: „Es ist irgendwie immer noch so ein bisschen unreal, muss ich ehrlich sagen.“ Die Medaille hängt um ihren Hals, 506 Gramm ist sie schwer, dennoch muss sich das Olympiasiegergefühl erst noch richtig einstellen. „So ein wenig realisiert habe ich es, aber es ist noch nicht ganz angekommen.“ Taubitz schildert in dem Gespräch noch einmal ihre Erlebnisse aus dem entscheidenden vierten Lauf. In diesem Moment, so beschreibt sie es auch, habe sich nicht nur ihr Traum erfüllt, sondern es sei eine Art Wiedergutmachung passiert. Sie erzählt, wie sie sich nach einem Sturz bei den Spielen 2022 von diesem bitteren Erlebnis erholt habe und wie sie gelernt habe, aus Niederlagen Kraft zu ziehen. „Du lernst nur, wenn du irgendwann mal auf den Mund fällst“, sagt sie jetzt. Emotionale, einordnende und sehr wertschätzende Worte findet auch Bundestrainer Patric Leitner. Auch er erinnert noch mal an die Szenerie bei Olympia 2022. Und: Leitner spricht Merle Fräbel Mut zu. Die 22-Jährige hat am Dienstag das erlebt, was Taubitz vor vier Jahren durchgemacht hat. In aussichtsreicher Position liegend und mit Siegchancen unterlief ihr ein Fehler. Der Olympiatraum zerplatzte im dritten Lauf. Leitner sagt: „Krone richten, Kopf hoch, deine Zeit wird noch kommen.“

Damit wäre das erste Olympia-Wochenende in einem Satz zusammengefasst, nur eben noch lange nicht alles gesagt für den emotionalen Auftakt bei den Winterspielen in Mailand und Cortina d‘Ampezzo. Eine Einordnung der Ereignisse verbunden mit reichlich Emotionen gibt es deshalb im „Dreierbob“, der natürlich vor Ort ist. Im Fokus dabei: natürlich die Hauptdarsteller des dramatischen wie erfolgreichen Sonntags, und zwar in der sportlichen Reihenfolge. Im Mittelpunkt steht Rodler Max Langenhan, der den ersten Olympiasieg für Team D im Eiskanal von Cortina einfuhr und danach sein Gold am liebsten „in Tausend kleine Stücke” zerhackt hätte. Warum? Osteopathie und Physiotherapie sind sinnvoll, wirken aber nur dann wirklich nachhaltig, wenn das Training und der Alltag danach konsequent angepasst werden, betont @Horst_Becker, Ausbildner für Klassische Dressur. Im Podcast-Gast AUF TRAB erklärt Horst, wie man mit Traininng sein Pferd im Winter präventiv gesund halten kann. „Müde machen" ist jedenfalls nie eine Lösung. Es geht um Schulterfreiheit durch richtiges Aufwärmen im „Bummeltempo" und um sinnvolles Longieren statt zu schleudern. Er warnt vor „Kaltstarts", also das Pferd im Winter unaufgewärmt auf der Koppel oder in der Halle rennen zu lassen. Ebenso wenig sei den Pferden mit „wandern" geholfen. Damit meint Horst, wenn man mit seinem Pferd nur spazieren geht, die Muskeln nicht trainiert und zu wenig galoppiert. Pferde hätten im Winter oftmals auch deshalb Schulterprobleme, weil die Besitzer die Eisen in der kalten Jahreszeit runterreißen, wo doch der Boden noch dazu im Winter härter ist . Das Gehen verursacht dann dem Pferd Schmerzen, das als Reaktion die Schulter hochzieht und fest macht. Ebenso sei zu beobachten, dass Pferde, die im Winter eine Decke tragen grundsätzlich öfter in der Schulter fest sind. Horst vermutet, dass die Decken vorne am Hals zu eng sitzen und einschnüren. Deshalb sind die Decken von Barockreitern am Hals extraweit. Für ein gesundes Winter-Training empfiehlt Horst Becker einen Stangenkreis bzw. Pentagon mit fünf bis sechs Stangen aufzulegen und das Pferd rund herum übertreten zu lassen. So erzeugt man eine Rotation im Pferderücken. Man kann die Schulter grundsätzlich gut über Biegungen öffnen. Auch das Fencing wie man es im Horsemanship kennt, hilft die Schulter zu öffnen: An der Bande - geritten oder am Boden - die Schulter wegtreiben statt an den Zügeln zu ziehen. Auch Galopp öffne die Schulter. Gemeint ist kurz, ruhig, balanciert zu galoppieren und wieder zurück in den Trab zu gehen. Eine Steigerung wäre dann noch Außengalopp für das Gerade-Richten.Wichtig sei auch auf den Takt zu hören. Der Viertakt im Schritt als Indikator - eine felhlende Anlehnung im Schritt kann auf eine feste Schulter hinweisen. Eine sehr informative und nette AUF TRAB-Podcastfolge, die einfacht gehört gehört. „Es war kein großer Knall. Ich merkte es an vielen Kleinigkeiten.“ Katrin ist eine Frau mit sehr viel Verantwortung. Und ich helfe ihr dabei, Klarheit zu finden und Muster zu erkennen, wenn ihr eigener Kopf übervoll ist. Sie erzählt mir von einem Mitarbeiter, mit dem sich Gespräche immer wiederholen. Er ist einsichtig, pflichtbewusst, loyal – und trotzdem spürt sie, dass er übermäßig viel Kraft kostet. Sie versteht sich selbst nicht, warum sie so fühlt. „Völlig unlogisch“, sagt sie und zuckt resigniert mit den Schultern. Ein altes Muster wirkt im Hintergrund. Für sie sind Kleinigkeiten nie groß genug für den großen Knall – also für eine klare Entscheidung. Und dann sagt sie einen Satz, der hängen bleibt: „Ich habe immer wie so einen kleinen Kloß im Hals, schon wenn ich ins Office gehe. Da ist dieses leise Gefühl, dass ich zwar festhalte, aber keine echte Verbindung spüre.“ Wenn es dir so geht, weißt du längst, dass etwas nicht stimmt. Dieses innere Anklopfen. Dieses nagende Gefühl, das nie schlimm genug ist, um sofort zu handeln – aber stark genug, um dich langsam innerlich zu zersetzen. Dennoch bleibst du. Nicht weil es gut ist, sondern weil es Halt gibt. Denn dieser Mensch, diese Beziehung, diese Konstellation gibt dir etwas Verlässliches. Etwas Bekanntes. Vielleicht sogar etwas, das du überschätzt, weil es dir früher gefehlt hat. Falscher Halt fühlt sich lange richtig an. Er gibt Stabilität – aber verhindert Bewegung. Und genau das macht ihn so gefährlich. Paradoxerweise halten besonders Menschen mit Verantwortung oft zu lange fest. Nicht aus Schwäche, sondern weil sie gelernt haben, Stabilität höher zu bewerten als innere Wahrheit. Und weil ich sehe, dass es vielen so geht, habe ich dazu eine neue Folge aufgenommen (Link dazu findest du unten im Kommentar). Radio Essen-Stadtreporter Timm Schröder trifft Prinz Louis I. und seine Prinzessin Leonie II. im Festsaal der KG Rot-Grün. Die Beiden ziehen mit ihrem großen Hofstaat durch den Saal in Richtung Bühne. Das närrische Publikum klatscht begeistert im Takt der Musik. Mit einem dreifachen Helau werden sie von Sitzungspräsident Markus Lehwald begrüßt und dann passiert das, was Timm vermeiden wollte. Er muss auf die Bühne und bekommt einen Orden um den Hals gehängt. Unserem Radio Essen-Reporter ist es wichtig klarzustellen, dass er heute nicht im Mittelpunkt steht, sondern das Jugendprinzenpaar. Auf rund 80 Veranstaltungen sind die Jugendlichen in dieser Saison. Zum Teil im 45 Minuten-Takt fahren sie von einer zu der nächsten närrischen Sitzung. Insgesamt werden sie über 3000 km in Essen und Umgebung unterwegs sein. Dirk had known Hal Jenkins since high school; he was one of the few people that Dirk got along with, and they had been friends ever since. When Hal got into motorcycles Dirk had approached him about joining the MC, but Hal said he just wasn't into it so he didn t. That didn't matter to Dirk as Hal was a true biker in every sense of the word, and the two of them had gone through some pretty interesting times and some pretty interesting women before Hal was transferred.When Hal called Dirk about six months ago to invite him to his wedding, you could have knocked Dirk over with a feather. Hal was the last person besides himself that Dirk would have ever thought would get married, but Hal told Dirk that his fianc , Renee, was the woman of my dreams in every possible way and that he wanted to marry her ‘before she wises up! Dirk was unable to make the wedding since it was scheduled for the following week Hal never was one for planning things out which is one reason Dirk never thought he would ever get married but they had planned instead on Dirk riding out to see him and staying for a few days. The earliest Hal's schedule at work would let that happen was six months away, but the time had finally passed and now Dirk was sitting in Hal's man cave (his garage) with their bikes parked in the driveway, cooling off after a long day's ride. It was the afternoon of the last day of Dirk's two-day visit, and they had made the best of it. They were sitting in a couple of foldable camp chairs enjoying a couple of cold bottles of beer with Dirk still wearing his colors, talking about anything and everything, just enjoying life and each other's company.So whattaya think about my ol lady, Dirk?“ Hal asked, grinning at him over his beer bottle. She's really something, ain't she?”Yes, she most certainly is!“ Dirk replied, nodding as he spoke. When he had met Renee upon his arrival, to say he was stunned would have been the understatement of the year. The best way to describe Renee was to say that she was what everyone thought about when they thought of the term 'biker chick.Renee was about five feet five inches tall and around 115 pounds, Dirk would have guessed, with just enough meat on her bones to make her look really good. Dirk also would have guessed that at least eight pounds of that would have been breast meat, because Renee had a simply magnificent pair of tits. Full and round with just the right amount of sag to make them wobble inside the white halter top she was wearing when he first saw her, they were truly a sight to behold. The halter top was showing about a mile of cleavage, something which Dirk appreciated very much, and was a perfect match for the low-slung faded jeans she was wearing. The jeans were skintight until they reached her knees and then flared out just enough to give her a retro '60s hippie kind of look. Her waist was tapered and her stomach was flat, and while not as firm as a young girl's it was still firm enough to be very enticing. The faux diamond that hung from her navel only added to the look.And to top it all off, Renee had the blackest hair Dirk had ever seen, wavy and long, going down past her shoulders nearly to the middle of her back. Her hair was very thick as well, so Dirk imagined that she had either some Italian or Middle Eastern blood in her veins. The only thing missing from Renee having a complete 'biker chick look was a tattoo or two, and when she turned to walk away from him Dirk saw not only a rounded, firm ass that swayed enticingly as she walked but a butterfly 'tramp stamp peeking out from above the waistband her jeans as well.But the thing that drew Dirk's attention the most, even more than her spectacular bustline (Dirk had always been a 'boob man ) was Renee's face, specifically her lips.
