A magical night under twinkling lights, a dance floor filled with laughter, and the joy of feeling fully included—these are the experiences every high schooler deserves. Yet for many students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, traditional proms can feel overwhelming or unwelcoming.Meet Greg Shetter, the visionary Behavioral Health Specialist behind Boundless Nights Prom, an extraordinary celebration designed specifically for students with autism and other developmental challenges. "This is the opportunity for students to have a singular event of their high school career that is not only inclusive but designed specifically for them," he explains with infectious enthusiasm. Across 16 Montgomery County high schools, approximately 70 students will finally experience a night where they're not just accommodated—they're centered.Behind this magical evening stands the Mark Andrew Kreushe Memorial Fund, whose generous grant makes the entire event possible. Suzie Kreushe shares how her foundation emerged from unimaginable loss—the death of her four-year-old son Mark in a boating accident. Rather than surrendering to grief, her family chose to "leave a MARK on children's lives" through grants supporting diverse youth programs. "Everyone deserves to be happy," Suzie affirms. "I don't care what you're going through, we can make someone's life better."The masquerade-themed prom will transform a gym into a night of wonder, complete with corsages, photo booths, refreshments, and even crowns for each attendee. Beyond creating memories, the event showcases Boundless's expanding programs for teenagers, including socialization skills groups, parent support training, and peer friendship development.Join us in celebrating this remarkable initiative where every student gets their perfect prom moment. Want to support future inclusive events like this? Contact Greg Shetter at gshetter@iamboundless.org or visit MarkKreushe.com to learn how you can help create more spaces where all young people feel truly included, valued, and celebrated.

Hormone health is linked with mental health for many reasons. One of which is that hormone imbalance can also cause decreased levels of serotonin, the “feel good” hormone. Symptoms related to hormone imbalance such as weight, acne, unwanted hair growth and hair loss can contribute to feelings of low self-esteem, low self-confidence and over time these factors can contribute to anxiety and depression.  My anxiety came from constantly seeing my hair falling out and it got to the point where I did not even want to look at myself in my mirror. While I lived in NY for 4 winters, I struggled with seasonal depression. I battled against low self esteem and poor body image all my life until just a couple of years ago. During those times, I did not know who to turn to or how to even begin sharing how I felt. I wish talking about these things were normalized, that's why I am now using my platforms to break these stigmas and normalize these conversations. In this week's episode I collaborated with Nidhi Patel a Licensed Master Social Worker and we discussed:   Mental health through a woman's lifespan South Asian cultural taboos how to talk about mental health to reduce stigma tips and resources to get help  Nidhi Patel is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Georgia. She currently serves as a Behavioral Health Specialist and is working towards her full clinical licensure. She does individual counseling and facilitates groups, trainings, and workshops in the community addressing a variety of mental health topics. Nidhi has been in the mental health field for 4+ years now with experience working in community mental health, nonprofit agencies, student support services in higher education, and has served as an associate clinician/social worker at a private practice. In December of 2010, the House and Senate voted in favor of repealing and over-turning the policy known as "don't ask, don't tell." President Obama then signed it into law in December of 2010 and then the following year, the nation decided that homosexuals would no longer fear discharge from the military by admitting to their sexual preference. Over 13,000 servicemen and women were discharged for being gay while the don't ask, don't tell policy was in effect. Today, we have Vaughn Rush, a male entertainer and Iraq War veteran who lives in San Diego California. Originally from Jamaica, Queens, New York, Vaughn grew up studying theater and dance.
