Quint Tatro considers Palantir (PLTR) an "incredible" stock that he would not chase at its current P/E levels. He believes other companies have more value for the price until the company grows into its price appreciation. David Nicholson agrees but adds that "everyone needs a version of what Palantir is doing," meaning the company won't go away, it just needs time for trends to mature. ======== Schwab Network ======== Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. HSJ Health Check is joined by two of the most influential and experienced NHS leaders to talk about lessons for the government's 10-year plan from their systems, and from the past. Former NHS England chief Sir David speaks about how the Black Country, where he is now a trust chair, has used community services to reduce emergency admissions among older people. He says government should ensure the plan brings about stability of financial rules, and get successful local leaders involved in writing the plan. Dr Dash, integrated care board chair in North West London and chair of an ongoing government reviews on safety and quality, discusses how her system is approaching change. She says the plan will need to “be very clear on how [it] will be implemented” rather than setting out only a “vision”.

Tesla (TSLA) has bounced back Friday after its vehicle delivery disappointment, but David Nicholson says other headwinds persist for the company. He worries Elon Musk's association with the Trump administration will work against the company long-term, especially as China's revs up its EV market. He says viewing Tesla as an A.I. company over a car company is a rational play for traders depending on how it advances full self-driving. ======== Schwab Network ======== Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. In the words of CUBE analyst and former CTO David Nicholson, Broadcom buys old cars. Not to restore them to their original beauty…nope…they buy classic cars to extract the platinum that's inside the catalytic converter. Broadcom's planned $61B acquisition of VMware will mark yet another new era for the virtualization leader, a mere seven months after finally getting spun out as a fully independent company by Dell. For VMware this means a dramatically different operating model, with financial performance and shareholder value creation as the dominant and perhaps sole agenda. For customers it will mean a more focused portfolio, less aspirational vision pitches and most certainly higher prices. In this Breaking Analysis we'll share data, opinions and customer insights about this blockbuster deal and forecast the future of VMware, Broadcom and the broader ecosystem.
