BREAKING: Trump Receives $1.8 Billion Payout for DJT Stock

Real News Now Podcast

This week, the leading Republican figure and real estate entrepreneur, Donald Trump, saw his wealth rise by an estimated $1.8 billion. This significant augmentation was propelled by an earnout compensation of 36 million shares gifted to him by his recently public media firm, Trump Media & Technology Group, also recognized by their stock, DJT. Witnessing a sturdy inauguration at $70, the DJT stock soon soared to $80. Yes, there have been some ups and downs since then, but reassuringly, it has managed to stay comfortably above the $17.50 benchmark required in a 30-day timeframe for Trump to earn his bonus. Astoundingly, Trump now possesses 114.75 million shares of DJT. The current valuation at around $45 a share impels the total worth of his stake well beyond the $5.1 billion threshold. The company clarified in a securities filing, upon the full disbursement of the Earnout Shares, the former President Donald J. Trump would secure 36,000,000 shares. The Trump Media and Technology Group had previously undergone a successful merger with Digital World Acquisition Corp., an event backed solidly by shareholders. Furthermore, in a proactive response to decisions made by mainstream social media platforms, Truth Social surfaced on the realm in early 2022 following Trump's presidential term.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Former President Trump brought to light the necessity for public participation in November's upcoming elections, cautioning citizens that absent their engagement, we risk losing the essence of our nation. "The most pivotal day in our republic's timeline will be November 5," asserted Trump. "The state of our nation is in decline. November 5 is positioned to transform this trajectory, but neglecting this commitment could mean forfeiting our country." Amidst the discussion, Trump outlined the progress of his social media venture, Truth Social. As a groundbreaking development, the board members of Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) along with Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC), a reputable shell corporation, chose to consolidate. This strategic fusion is a steppingstone for the ex-president's corporation to go public. With Trump's 58 percent shareholding, assuming his victorious return to the presidency, he would make history as the first U.S. president to hold a substantial stake in a publicly floated company. Notably, Trump's entrepreneurial journey includes previous instances where he has appreciated the confidence of his backers through publicly listed stocks. In a conversation with Fox News, he shared some insights regarding the merger and the direction of Truth Social. In response to the inquiry regarding the apparent financial windfall it brought him, Trump stated, "It has been extraordinary, Truth Social gave me the space to voice my opinions. When Twitter ceased my activities, it was harsh, and abruptly, I was left without a platform. Today, we've taken it public, and the stock price has seen an extraordinary surge."See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The decision to uphold American values and safeguard the integrity of our nation are largely entrusted upon the voters in the forthcoming presidential elections. During a recent interview on 'One Nation', aired on Fox News, ex-President Donald Trump didn't mince words in expressing his concerns on the state of affairs. He urged fellow Americans to cast their votes wisely in November, indicating that the fate of our country relies heavily on the choice we make. In his chat with Fox News anchor Brian Kilmeade, Trump discussed a wide array of significant topics, among which his speculative presidential showdown against incumbent President Joe Biden on November 5th resonated strongly. Trump emphasized the critical nature of this particular day, stating, 'The most important day in the history of our country is going to be November 5.' He went on to express his concern about the perceived downward spiral of our country and his hope for change post-November elections. Another intriguing aspect Trump addressed during this segment was the remarkable evolution of Truth Social, the social media platform he launched following his presidency. After the reported merger of Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) with Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC), a reputable shell corporation, the path was set for Trump's business venture to make an exciting plunge into public trading. Truth Social was conceived as a formidable competitor to prevalent social platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Post-merger, it is currently managed by the newly formed organization. Industry analysts on Wall Street estimate the valuation of TMTG to be around $9 billion, presenting an impressive business prospect.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

He did it again. The Donald pulled off yet another miracle by taking his (failing) social media platform public. The deal had been in the works for a while and looked DOA last year. But it was revived recently and when it hit the Nasdaq this week it added billions to Trump's net worth and gave him an immediate cash infusion that will likely prevent him having to sell assets to make the (reduced) bond in his civil fraud case. The wealthy in this country truly operate under different rules. The mechanism Trump used to take a losing company public quickly and with relative ease compared to normal IPOs is called a SPAC, or Special Purpose Acquisition Company. SPACs gained a lot of attention a few years back before basically imploding as regulators frowned upon them and investments fizzled. As quickly as they gained prominence, they flamed out and were basically revealed to be scams. But it didn't stop the biggest SCAM artist in the world from packaging up his SCAM social media platform inside a SCAM financial vehicle. God bless 'Murica. The beginning of the week witnessed a substantial financial gain for the country's 45th President Donald Trump. This financial surge came as a result of Friday's significant double-fold events. A successful consolidation took place between Digital World Acquisition Corp. and Trump Media & Technology Group, which Trump significantly owns. Furthermore, the conclusion of a legal battle involving New York Attorney General Letitia James bore a favourable outcome for him. The triumph of this new social media platform, Truth Social, has been instrumental in this financial boom for the business tycoon. The consequential success from this venture resulted in a nearly $4 billion swell in Trump's fortune. This came as the shares took an upward leap in the stock market, largely in part due to the platform's growing popularity. As the major stakeholder of Trump Media & Technology Group, Trump owns about 79 million shares, which is approximately equivalent to owning 58 percent of the company's total share. Currently, the market value of DWAC's shares stand at $49.95 each. With Trump's substantial holdings, this translates to an increase of more than $3.9 billion in his net worth. This massive accumulation of wealth legitimizes Trump's position in the global billionaire club. The expansion of his fortunes has elevated his net worth to $6.5 billion, placing him among the top 500 wealthiest individuals globally. The names in this elite group, akin to Trump's stature, include the likes of Joe Ricketts, Gordon Getty, and Tony James.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Former President Donald Trump is poised to double his net worth from what could prove a huge windfall when his social media outlet, Truth Social, goes public. Investors have voted to approve a merger between Digital World Acquisition Corp. and Trump Media & Technology Group, the owner of Truth Social. This comes as the former president needs to put up a bond of more than $454 million to stay judgment in his civil fraud case while he appeals—effectively, to hold off the New York Attorney General from potentially seizing his real estate and other assets during the appeal. President Trump posted on social media on March 22 that “through hard work, talent, and luck, I currently have almost five hundred million dollars in cash.” The House voted to approve a $1.2-trillion spending package to fund 70 percent of the government. The final vote was 286-134, with 112 Republicans and 22 Democrats voting against the measure. The Senate will now have to take up and pass the legislation ahead of a fast-approaching shutdown deadline at midnight on Friday. The United Nations Security Council has failed to pass a resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza as part of a hostage deal after Russia and China vetoed the measure proposed by the United States. The resolution condemned Hamas for the Oct. 7 massacre, called for an immediate six-week pause in fighting, and the release of the remaining hostages. U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, criticized Beijing and Moscow, saying they rejected the proposal simply because it was penned by the United States. ⭕️Watch in-depth videos based on Truth & Tradition at Epoch TV

BREAKING: Shareholders Vote in Favor of Truth Social IPO Valuated at Over $3 Billion for Trump

Last week saw the shareholders of Digital World Acquisition Corp. providing a nod of approval to a union with Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent organization behind Truth Social. This suggests a profitable prospect for the previous GOP frontrunner, Donald Trump. Considering his ownership of roughly 60 percent, or 79 million shares of the company, some speculations place his potential gains over $3 billion. At present, the trading price point for Digital World Acquisition Corp., commonly referred to as DWAC, is $41. Given this valuation, Trump's financial return may overshoot $3.2 billion when the initial public offering (IPO) is unveiled. The anticipated revenue paints a favourable picture for Trump, who may benefit immensely from this move. Upon completion of the merge, 'DJT' will be the official stock ticker, rendered in honour of the previous President's initials. The formal trading debut is due to take place next week and the company is estimated at $5.5 billion in value. An exciting market development, the ripple effect of this significant merge will be interesting to observe. Trump's financial forecast is however, somewhat overshadowed by a looming $454 million penalty. This hefty fine originates from New York and is the outcome of the civil fraud lawsuit initiated by the state's Attorney General, Letitia James. Therefore, while the shareholder vote ushers in potential benefits for Trump, it also brings to focus the challenges that lie ahead.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Daar is afgelopen nacht echter tegen gestemd. Hello and welcome back to Equity, a podcast about the business of startups, where we unpack the numbers and nuance behind the headlines.Alex and Grace are back to cover the biggest, boldest and baddest technology news. This week we are not recording on a Tuesday as it's a regular week. Though we would add that Equity will be live on Thursday, when we record our Friday episode. So if you wanted to come hang, make sure that you are following the show on Twitter.Right, so what did we get into this morning?Stocks are generally up, major cryptos are not doing too much this morning, and a Coinbase downgrade caught our eye.Backstage Capital is laying off staff as it focuses on only investing into existing portfolio companies. With less capital than before going to Black founders, seeing a fund that focused on investing into underrepresented founders struggle is a bummer. The Strapi startup round was a fun one to look at, fusing open-source tech and CMSs, a tool that we use here at TechCrunch rather often. And then there is the mess at Digital World Acquisition Corp., the SPAC that wants to merge with former American President Trump's digital media company. It's in trouble with regulators. The chaos did not start there, however. 3AC is in default (like Russia!), the BlockFi rescue deal had internal pushback, Klarna may only be worth $10 billion, MilkRun loses lots of money, and we're learning more about how India's government is going after Twitter. So, a great way to start the week. De geplande beursgang via een overname door een SPAC, namelijk Digital World Acquisition Corp, wordt nu onderzocht door de SEC. Daniel's back in the office and I rib him about taking a sick day… the day before his birthday! [0:30] Markets continue to be volatile around the Russia-Ukraine conflict. We discuss Russia's latest “peacekeeping missions”... and why Biden's sanctions will actually help the Kremlin. [2:45] I point out the huge difference in public perception between Russia and China… and why the U.S. (wrongly) takes a different approach in its dealings with these two countries. [7:50] Hopefully the Russia-Ukraine situation is a short-term problem for markets… and once it resolves, it could be the perfect time to buy oil stocks and other commodity-related plays. [11:45] Speaking of commodities, coal is surging—and the price will remain elevated for the foreseeable future. While “coal” is a swear-word in most investing circles… investors in this commodity stand to make a ton of money. [14:00] Another swear-word in the investing world: Uranium. We share why we're shocked prices aren't much higher. [19:55] Turning to inflation… markets continue to anticipate multiple interest rate hikes this year. JPMorgan thinks we'll see nine in a row. Daniel and I debate whether the Fed will be aggressive enough… and Daniel explains why rising oil prices will give the Fed some wiggle room. [24:15] Virgin Galactic, a popular SPAC, is making headlines following its earnings report. I break down why SPACs are terrible for individual investors—for the most part… And whether there's any value to Trump's SPAC, Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC). [32:30] Enjoyed this episode? The SPAC stock linked to Donald Trump's planned social media platform sharply dropped in price Monday after booking huge gains last week following news that it would merge with the ex-president's planned social media company. Digital World Acquisition Corp. stock fell 11% to close at $83.86 per share. That pace was a major change from last week, when DWAC shares skyrocketed from $9.96 apiece at Wednesday's close to $94.20 per share Friday — a whopping 845% rally in two days. The so-called special purpose acquisition company also was seeing markedly lower trading volume Monday. More than 64 million shares of DWAC changed hands, according to FactSet. After weeks of being called out as racist and misogynistic, the video for J Balvin and Tokischa's collaboration “Perra” (“female dog”) disappeared from YouTube on October 17. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Tokischa spoke about the controversy, saying she's sorry about how the video had been interpreted. Raymi Paulus, Tokischa's manager and the video's director, added in an email that the video was meant as a “satirical representation” of the “many contexts of the word ‘perra'” as well as life in the barrios of the Dominican Republic and femme sexual liberation. A rep for J Balvin declined a request for comment from Rolling Stone. On Sunday, however, the Colombian artist uploaded an Instagram story apologizing to people who were offended by the video, “especially women and Black communities.” He confirmed that he had “Perra” removed from YouTube.
