Mark Zuckerberg is in court right now, fighting an antitrust suit brought by the FTC against his Meta for a previous purchase of WhatsApp and Instagram. But this is a weak lawsuit. And sad to say, for conservatives who've been desiring a take-down of Zuckerberg for his brash and anti-American stifling of free speech on his social media platforms — this isn't a case that should be cheered. Why? Principle matters. Principle, not politics, matters when it comes to rule of law, the Constitution and the long-term future of American freedoms. Robert Bork Jr. discusses.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (01/27/2025): 3:05pm- After the first week of his second term as president, Donald Trump mandated employees of the federal government work in-person, withdrew the nation from the Paris Climate Agreement, withdrew the nation from the World Health Organization (WHO) citing their willingness to cover-up China's COVID-19 transgressions, delayed enforcement of a national ban of TikTok, recognized two genders—male and female, pardoned 1,500 Americans arrested for their actions on January 6th, 2021, expanded domestic energy production, shut down the U.S. Southern border and began deportations of dangerous illegal migrants, and guaranteed free speech on social media. Trump also fulfilled a long-term campaign pledge to focus on meritocracy and pivot away from the prioritization of far-left policies like diversity, equity, and inclusion (D.E.I.) within the federal government. Rich wonders, was this the most consequential first week in modern presidential history? 3:15pm- On Sunday, the Trump Administration arrested nearly 1,000 illegal migrants who have been accused of serious crimes. Comparatively, the Biden Administration averaged 310 arrests per day, according to Axios. The New York Post reports that in a raid over the weekend, federal agents arrested 50 members of the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua in Denver, Colorado. 3:30pm- CIA Says Lab Leak the Likely Origin of COVID-19: Michael R. Gordon and Dustin Volz of The Wall Street Journal write: “The Central Intelligence Agency has now concluded that the deadly Covid-19 pandemic most likely arose from a laboratory leak, lending credibility to a view that has been the focus of sharp debate among scientists and politicians for years. In doing so, the CIA has now joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Energy Department in identifying a laboratory mishap in Wuhan, China, as the probable source of the Covid virus. It has killed more than 1.2 million Americans and over seven million people worldwide.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/politics/national-security/cia-now-favors-lab-leak-theory-on-origins-of-covid-19-eff4e67c. 3:40pm- After initially rejecting deportation flights containing Colombian citizens who entered the U.S. illegally, Colombian President Gustavo Perez reversed course—even providing the U.S. with his own presidential plane to assist in the process. After Perez's refusal, President Donald Trump announced he would slap Colombia with a 25% tariff, with the promise it would quickly increase to 50%. The United States is Colombia's largest trading partner. 4:00pm- Robert Bork Jr.—President of the Antitrust Education Project & President of the Bork Communication Group—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the Federal Trade Commission in the Trump Administration. In one notable exchange with Justice Department Counsel Michael Dreeben, Justice Brett Kavanaugh asked if, hypothetically, former President Barack Obama could be prosecuted for his administration's use of drone strikes against U.S. citizens in foreign countries. Justice Clarence Thomas also questioned if previous presidents, like John F. And, if so, wouldn't that quickly become a threat to the maintenance of a stable democracy? 5:05pm- On Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral argument in Trump v. Trump's net worth spiked to an estimated $6.4 billion the day before Trump Media & Technology Group is set to debut on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ‘DJT' stock ticker, according to Bloomberg. An SEC filing disclosed on Monday indicates TMTG will replace Digital World Acquisition Corp. on the Nasdaq after the two entities completed a $300 million merger. Digital World is a SPAC corporation, a public company designed to acquire or merge with another company. The Justice Department is already suing Alphabet Inc.'s Google for monopolization, while the Federal Trade Commission is pursuing antitrust cases against Meta Platforms Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. 10:41 – 10:56 (15mins) Weekly: "Vic Porcelli's East Coast Report with Douglas Blair" @DouglasKBlair Communications and Data Manager, Data Journalist @Harris_X_ See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 4: Stephen Sorace of Fox News writes: “The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) issued a memo scolding firefighters it says brought ‘discredit' to the department after booing New York Attorney General Letitia James and cheering for former President Trump at a promotion ceremony last week, warning those who took part to protest on their own time, according to a report. Following a New York Post report about the leaked memo, FDNY spokesman Jim Long confirmed to Fox News Digital on Monday morning that chief officers went to firehouses over the weekend to discuss the events of Thursday and speak to the concerns and disappointment with the behavior shown during James' remarks.” You can read the full report here: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fdny-tells-firefighters-protest-your-own-time-booing-ny-ag-letitia-james-cheering-trump-report On Thursday evening, President Joe Biden delivered his State of the Union address to an estimated audience of 32 million Americans. During the hour-long speech, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) shouted at the president to mention Laken Riley—a 22-year-old nursing student who was recently murdered by an alleged undocumented migrant who had been arrested numerous times. In his response to the congresswoman, Biden mistakenly referred to Riley as “Lincoln” and called her alleged murderer an “illegal.” The “illegal” designation upset many on the far-left who claimed it was an outdated, offensive term for “new comers.” During an interview with Jonathan Capehart on MSNBC, President Joe Biden expressed regret for using the term “illegal” when referring to Laken Riley's alleged killer. At a campaign rally in Rome, Georgia, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump called-out Biden's rebuttal—explaining that that the president should be more concerned about limiting unlawful migration rather than policing the language he uses to describe alleged murderers. The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- On Thursday evening, President Joe Biden delivered his State of the Union address to an estimated audience of 32 million Americans. In his response to the congresswoman, Biden mistakenly referred to Riley as “Lincoln” and called her alleged murderer an “illegal.” The “illegal” designation upset many on the far-left who claimed it was an outdated, offensive term for “new comers.” 3:15pm- During an interview with Jonathan Capehart on MSNBC, President Joe Biden expressed regret for using the term “illegal” when referring to Laken Riley's alleged killer. At a campaign rally in Rome, Georgia, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump called-out Biden's rebuttal—explaining that that the president should be more concerned about limiting unlawful migration rather than policing the language he uses to describe alleged murderers. 3:35pm- The sports blog Deadspin has fired all its existing staff after being bought by a European publishing company. Last year, Deadspin wrongfully accused a young Kansas City Chiefs fan of wearing blackface and of mocking Native American culture during the Chiefs-Raiders game—strategically angling a posted photo to only show half of the child's face, failing to note that the face paint was black and red (the team's colors), and that the child and his family are Native American. 3:50pm- Flashback: During a speech from 2009, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer continually referred to migrants who enter the country unlawfully as “illegal” and claimed that using terminology like “undocumented workers” shows that government isn't serious about preventing illegal immigration and/or border security. 4:05pm- Robert Bork Jr.—President of the Antitrust Education Project & President of the Bork Communication Group—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his recent editorial in The Wall Street Journal, “ESG, Big Labor and Starbucks.” Bork writes: “The latest comes courtesy of the Strategic Organizing Center, a coalition of unions using a $16,000 investment in Starbucks to push three labor nominees onto the company's 11-member board. Last week, the House Energy and Commerce Committee voted 50-0 to advance a bill that would ban TikTok or force ByteDance (TikTok's parent company) to sell the social media platform to an entity removed from Chinese influence. The full House of Representatives is expected to vote on the bill this Wednesday and, according to The Wall Street Journal, it is likely to pass with majority approval. According to reports, President Joe Biden has vowed to sign the bill into law if the bill ultimately passes the House and Senate and arrives at his desk. 5:40pm- The House of Representatives is expected to vote on a bill that would ban TikTok—is this a step too far? Shouldn't individuals be allowed to choose which products they use? Or is the risk of Chinese leadership gaining access to American user data too great to respect individual autonomy and free markets? 6:05pm- Stephen Sorace of Fox News writes: “The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) issued a memo scolding firefighters it says brought ‘discredit' to the department after booing New York Attorney General Letitia James and cheering for former President Trump at a promotion ceremony last week, warning those who took part to protest on their own time, according to a report. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (01/30/2024): 3:05pm- According to a report from Punchbowl News' Jake Sherman, the Department of Justice has opened a criminal investigation into Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) for “misspending of federal security money.” The House Sergeant at Arms has been subpoenaed for records relating to the allegations. 3:10pm- In a New York Times editorial, Clark D. Cunningham—a law professor at Georgia State University—explains the legal consequences for the alleged improper relationship between lead prosecutor in the Donald Trump Georgia election interference criminal case, Nathan Wade, and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Cunningham writes: “Mr. Wade was very involved in both the special grand jury investigation and the current criminal case, despite an absence of obvious qualifications. Although Ms. Willis has defended her decision to hire Mr. Wade, his previous experience as a prosecutor appears to have been largely limited to misdemeanors. The amount paid to Mr. Wade so far is substantial yet Mr. Wade's billing invoices obtained by Mr. Roman's lawyer are not well documented and don't always offer, for example, itemized time worked in increments of less than one day. If Ms. Willis and Mr. Wade are dismissed by Judge McAfee, it will be up to a state agency, the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia, to appoint a prosecutor to take over from Ms. Willis. And that's where things could really go off the rails. Take one precedent: On July 25, 2022, Ms. Willis was disqualified from prosecuting Burt Jones, who was then a state senator, after she hosted a fund-raiser for Mr. Jones's eventual opponent in the race for lieutenant governor. Eighteen months later, the PACGA still hasn't appointed a special prosecutor, and Mr. Jones, now lieutenant governor, has not even been indicted. Delay is not even the worst possible outcome for the case if Ms. Willis is disqualified. A special prosecutor could decide to reduce or dismiss charges against some or all of the defendants, including Mr. Trump.” You can read the full editorial here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/24/opinion/fani-willis-trump-georgia.html 3:20pm- Michael R. Gordon of The Wall Street Journal writes: “Three U.S. service members were killed and at least 34 were injured in an Iran-backed militia's drone strike on a base in northeast Jordan, U.S. officials said on Sunday, marking the first American troops killed in hostile action since the start of the Hamas-Israeli conflict in Gaza. A U.S. official said that the attack took place overnight at Tower 22, a small outpost near the Syria border. The drone struck living quarters for the troops, contributing to the high casualties, a U.S. official said. The strike, which was carried out by a one-way attack drone, signals an escalation in the fighting in the region. The president and secretary of defense said the U.S. would retaliate.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/world/middle-east/three-u-s-troops-killed-in-drone-attack-in-jordan-b45ddb6b?mod=hp_lead_pos1 3:25pm- While speaking with Vice News in 2020, then-presidential candidate Joe Biden claimed that then-President Donald Trump would “get us into a war with Iran” as a way to distract from his reelection troubles. 3:30pm- Speaking with the press outside of the White House before boarding Marine One, President Joe Biden accused Iran of being responsible for Sunday's drone attack in Jordan which left three U.S. service members dead. 3:40pm- Zenebou Sylla and Elizabeth Wolfe write: “A Pennsylvania jury handed down a $2.25 billion verdict against Monsanto and its parent company, Bayer, after determining its Roundup herbicide product caused a man's cancer, the plaintiff's lawyers announced…The jury delivered its verdict, which includes $2 billion in punitive damages, in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court on Friday after concluding Roundup ‘is a defective cancer-causing product, that Monsanto was negligent, and that Monsanto failed to warn about the dangers' of the weed killer, the law firm [Kline & Specter] said.” You can read the full article here: https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/29/us/roundup-cancer-verdict-philadelphia-bayer-monsanto/index.html 3:50pm- A Florida man is suing Combos snacks parent company Mars Inc. for deceptive marketing—arguing that there is not enough real cheese in the snack food. 4:05pm- Dr. EJ Antoni—Economist & Research Fellow in The Heritage Foundation's Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his latest editorial, “The Fed's Powell Will Have to Play Politics to Keep His Job.” Dr. Antoni writes: “When [Chairman of the Federal Reserve Jerome] Powell was up for renomination, he dutifully kept interest rates below 1% percent and exploded the Fed's balance sheet, barely keeping it below $9 trillion in an unprecedented act of money creation. When asked about raising interest rates three-quarters of a percent in the face of 40-year-high inflation, Powell said such a move was off the table and called inflation ‘transitory'… Once the Senate confirmed him for a second term as chairman, however, Powell promptly delivered four of those three-quarter-percent interest rate hikes in a row and began reducing the Fed's balance sheet to belatedly fight runaway inflation.” You can read Dr. Antoni's full editorial here: https://www.heritage.org/monetary-policy/commentary/the-feds-powell-will-have-play-politics-keep-his-job 4:35pm- The Florida House of Representatives has passed legislation that would ban minors under the age of 16 from accessing social media. In response, Governor Ron DeSantis suggested he may veto the bill should it arrive at his desk, explaining: “To say that someone that is 15 just cannot have [access to social media] no matter what, even if the parent consents, that may create some legal issues.” You can read more here: https://www.tallahassee.com/story/news/politics/2024/01/26/desantis-concerned-over-breadth-of-house-social-media-legislation/72368316007/ 4:45pm- Should government ban children from being able to access social media? The Left's False Attacks on Clarence Thomas Are Part of a Pressure Campaign to Undermine the Supreme CourtFalse leftist attacks on Justice Thomas are part of pressure campaign to undermine Supreme CourtClarence Thomas's Luxury Travel And The Gift Tax Clarity from Chaos guest: Robert H. Bork, Jr., is the President of the Antitrust Education Project. He also heads the Bork Group, a public affairs agency. Bork is an experienced advocate specializing in the development and implementation of communication strategies in support of litigation and legal policy. The attacks on Justice Clarence Thomas for his friendship with Texas billionaire Harlan Crow not only continue an illegitimate political pressure campaign against the Supreme Court but also expose the moral vacuum that is Washington, D.C.  ProPublica, a website funded by liberal millionaires, the Washington Post, a newspaper owned by a billionaire, and The New York Times, a media company long owned by a wealthy family, have runs stories over the last month claiming that Thomas has violated ethics codes governing federal judges. "This tangled web around Justice Clarence Thomas just gets worse and worse by the day," Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Dick Durbin, D-IL, said this week. Several of his colleagues have called for an investigation into Thomas and have made demands for confidential financial information from Crow.  But a close look shows that this supposed scandal amounts to little more than an accounting error that has never given rise to claims of scandal before, at least when liberal judges were involved. In the first ProPublica report, critics attacked Thomas for failing to report in his financial disclosure forms that Crow had hosted him for trips on his private jet, yacht, and lodge. The financial reporting rules did not require disclosure of hospitality from personal friends – indeed, only in March, after these trips took place, did the federal judiciary decide that judges in future should report private jet travel or stays at commercial hotels.   Although the article implied that Crow sought to buy influence with Thomas, the former runs a construction and real estate company that has no business before the Court. The hearing addressed alleged abuses of power by leadership within the FBI. In his opening statement, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) warned the FBI whistleblowers that following their testimony before Congress they would likely be improperly targeted by elements of the federal government—citing Matt Taibbi as an example of what could happen. Four days after testifying before Congress, Internal Revenue Service officers alarmingly showed up to the home of independent journalist Matt Taibbi. During Thursday's House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Rep. Chris Stewart applauded the FBI whistleblowers for their bravery and condemned the bureau's leadership for being overtly politicized. While testifying before a House Select Committee, former FBI agent turned whistleblower Steve Friend stated that the bureau retaliated against him after he questioned statistics being used to determine that domestic extremism was a dire threat. Four days after testifying before Congress, Internal Revenue Service officers alarmingly showed up to the home of independent journalist Matt Taibbi. 3:25pm- During Thursday's House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Rep. Chris Stewart applauded the FBI whistleblowers for their bravery and condemned the bureau's leadership for being overtly politicized. 3:30pm- While testifying before a House Select Committee, former FBI agent turned whistleblower Steve Friend stated that the bureau retaliated against him after he questioned statistics being used to determine that domestic extremism was a dire threat. 3:45pm- Robert Bork Jr.—President of the Antitrust Education Project & head of the Bork Group, a public affairs agency—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the left's recent attacks on Justice Clarence Thomas and, subsequently, the legitimacy of the Supreme Court. Though Disney hinted that the project was scrapped because of its ongoing feud with Governor Ron DeSantis, Rich and Matt believe it's more likely a symptom of some struggling business segments within the company. For example, in the first Quarter of 2023, Disney+ lost a whopping 4 million subscribers. 4:50pm- On Wednesday, economic reporter at The Washington Post Jeff Stein tweeted a misquote credited to Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) by Fetterman's office. Stein notes, “[t]hough it captured his meaning, I deleted the tweet since some of the words in the quote were inaccurate.” 5:05pm- During Thursday's House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA) asked whistleblower Marcus Allen to answer for a tweet belonging to another person also named Marcus Allen. According to political commentator Greg Price, Rep. Sanchez found “a random Twitter account with 118 followers with the same name” and then claimed it belonged to Allen. There's more than one person in the world with the name “Marcus Allen”?!?! Shocking! 5:10pm- House Democrats, led by Congresswoman Cori Bush (D-MO), introduced a resolution calling for $14 trillion in reparations to be paid to the descendants of former slaves. 5:15pm- While speaking with FBI whistleblowers at Thursday's House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Rep. Matt Gaetz' (R-FL) questioning seemingly revealed that undercover officers were present at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, 2021. Gaetz tweeted that this is despite FBI Director Christopher Wray saying otherwise. 5:30pm- Congressman Dan Goldman (D-NY) has had a bad week—dismissing the Durham report as an “abuse of power” while on MSNBC and then defending Antifa during a House Oversight hearing. 5:50pm- Anyone going to the annual Bilderberg meeting? 6:05pm- According to reports, Bud Light will launch new, camouflage bottles with proceeds from sales going towards the families of American military service members. Will this be enough to restore sales following an unpopular association with LGBTQ+ activist Dylan Mulvaney? 6:15pm- While speaking with Katy Tur on MSNBC, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy hinted he would be willing to provide Mifepristone to citizens of states that ban the abortion pill in the event courts rule the ban is constitutional—defying court orders. Gov. Murphy said of the potential ruling, “it will cost people their lives…women in particular.” 6:35pm- Ford, Tesla, Volvo, Volkswagen, and BMW are among the auto manufacturers that have eliminated AM radio from their electric vehicles—but a group of bipartisan lawmakers, including Senators Ed Markey (D-MA) and Ted Cruz (R-Tx), want to prevent the removal arguing public safety is at risk. 6:45pm- On Thursday, several Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) whistleblowers testified before a House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. President Joe Biden has just announced he's running for another four years in the White House. And his announcement, not-so-coincidentally, comes as Democrats have unleashed massive attacks, once again, against their favorite target: Donald J. Trump. They've also found cause to go after conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Call it the go-to political game for leftists: no principle, all bluster and bogus blaming and shaming. Biden has no accomplishments on which to campaign so his platform has to be all about anti-MAGA, anti-Trump, anti-Trump supporters. The media and his Democrat Party minions are only too happy to do his dirty work and mudsling all the live-long day -- so long as it keeps out Trump, keeps quiet conservatives. How successful will they be? Robert Bork Jr. weighs in with his legal-minded expertise.

Clarity from Chaos guest: Mr. Robert H. Bork Jr. appearing on behalf of his father, with an updated version of The Antitrust Paradox By Judge Robert H. Bork. Bork Jr., currently serves as the President of the Antitrust Education Project. The Dangers of Conservative ‘Antitrust Revival'Since it first appeared in 1978, this seminal work by one of the foremost American legal minds of our age has dramatically changed the way the courts view government's role in private affairs. Now reissued with a new introduction and foreword, this classic shows how antitrust suits adversely affect the consumer by encouraging a costly form of protection for inefficient and uncompetitive small businesses. Robert Bork's view of antitrust law has had a profound impact on how the law has been both interpreted and applied. Lucid, highly readable, and full of rich social and political implications, The Antitrust Paradox illustrates how the purpose and integrity of law can be subverted by those who do not understand the reality law addresses or who seek to make it serve unintended political and social ends. It's republication by his son comes at a critical moment when politicians on both the left and right want to weaponize antitrust law. Their proposals will destroy capitalism and innovation. FIND HIM ON FACEBOOK HEREFIND HIM ON TWITTER HERE Support the show"Wherever you find yourself is exactly and precisely where God wills you to be" Follow us on X: @CFC30290 Follow us on Rumble: https://rumble.com/c/c-3123766 Website: https://clarityfromchaospodcast.buzzsprout.com/ Thanks for listening to Clarity from Chaos
