In this episode of the show, Baldy, Jamie and Stu chat with Australian international Pete Handscomb about The Ashes and the ups and downs of his cricket career so far. We start the show by diving into Pete's experience watching the Ashes as someone playing first-class cricket and with a lot of connections on both sides. Has anything come as a surprise so far? How tough is the challenge as a batter of moving from English pitches to Australian pitches? And should we expect anything different from in Adelaide or Melbourne? As the conversation continues, we move to Pete's own Ashes experience and the extra levels of scrutiny that come from playing on the biggest of stages. There's plenty in here about mindset and approach, and how tough times led to a rethink that has paid huge dividends in recent seasons. Along with sharing the tough times, Pete also recalls the moment he first received his Baggy Green from long-time friend and current Cricket Victoria coach Chris Rogers, and the moment he scored his first Test hundred against Pakistan. With the fires still burning for an international recall, Pete talks about how the game has changed since his debut, looks back at the challenge of facing India in India on difficult batting surfaces and shares what he's learned about the leadership style that works best for him, plus a few young players to watch out for on the Australian domestic circuit, such as Campbell Kellaway and Oliver Peake. To round out the show, we run through our quickfire round that hits on a number of topics, such as Pete's favourite innings, the toughest bowler he's faced and the most talented cricketer he's ever encountered. All in all, it was a conversation we really enjoyed and we hope you will too. We'll be back in your feed after the Test matches between England & Australia and New Zealand & the West Indies. Step into Episode 190 of On the Delo as David DeLorenzo sits down with longtime friend and Arizona hospitality pro Tiffany for a candid conversation about life behind the bar, responsible service, mental health, and launching a new industry-driven concept in downtown Mesa. From nearly two decades in restaurants and bars to opening “The Walk In” while navigating new motherhood, Tiffany pulls back the curtain on what it really takes to care for guests, protect your team, and still protect your own energy. If you're in hospitality, own a bar or restaurant, or just love the Arizona beer community, this one gives you real-world perspective and practical takeaways you can use right now.Hear how Tiffany went from a 19-year-old hostess at Native New Yorker in Tempe to a respected leader in Arizona's craft beer scene, shaping programs at spots like Cornish Pasty, Postino Gilbert, and The Sleepy Whale. She breaks down the psychology of reading guests, the art and “mama bear” finesse of cutting someone off, and why hospitality that feels like family is the only way to stand out when people are more selective than ever about where they spend their money. The conversation also dives into how therapy, boundaries, lifting, early mornings, and porch coffee help her manage burnout and stay grounded in an industry that often expects you to be “on” no matter what's happening in your own life. You'll also get an inside look at The Walk In, the new “grandma's basement” bar Tiffany is opening in a historic basement space in downtown Mesa with partners Chris Rogers and Thad Krosky. Think cozy couches, wood paneling, beer neons, beer, natural wine, vinyl nights, and a serious non-alcoholic program designed for people who want the full experience without the booze. Tiffany shares the real startup journey: losing their first dream Tempe location, regrouping with help from community and a strong broker, finding the former Sun Devil Liquor basement and its old cellar “relics,” and deciding they don't have to settle for anything less than the right space.Chapter Guide (Timestamps):(0:00 - 2:40) Saturday Morning Vibes and Episode 190 Intro(2:41 - 5:56) Tiffany's Start in Hospitality: Native New Yorker, ASU, and Falling in Love with the Industry(5:57 - 12:40) Psychology Behind the Bar: Reading Guests, Responsible Service, and Care Over Transactions(12:41 - 18:21) Arizona Beer Community: Hospitality, Storytelling, and Surviving a Changing Market(18:22 - 23:58) Building The Walk In: Concept, Partners, Mental Health Focus, and Learning the Business Side(23:59 - 30:38) Losing a Location, Finding a Basement: Tempe Setbacks, Downtown Mesa, and Not Settling(30:39 - 37:56) Non-Alcoholic Programs, Mental Wellness, Therapy, and Coping Without the Crutch of Alcohol(37:57 - 43:21) Motherhood, Support Systems, Arizona Roots, and Raising Riley in Hospitality(43:22 - 47:24) Rapid Fire: Music, Tattoos, Aliens, Gold Shows, and Strength Inside and Outside the Bar(47:25 - 48:39) What's Next: Copper State Beer Festival and Built Different Community Invite

The latest Big Picture reports are out and cover a wide range of topics from financial markets to supply chains and onward to technology and AI. Two of the authors, Lindsey Hall and Chris Rogers, join host Eric Hanselman to talk about sustainability, supply chains and AI. These are tightly interwoven and their dependencies spill out into geopolitics, as well. Sustainability conversations have focused on climate adaptation and resilience. Climate risks are growing and yet only 35% of businesses have adaptation plans in place. The urgent demands for AI infrastructure are consuming both energy and the materials to build data centers. Meeting those needs is shifting sustainability priorities for the companies looking to deploy AI, as well as energy focus. Renewables are still a key part of energy plans, but they've moved to an all-of-the-above approach to fuel AI-driven consumption levels. It's been what could be called an un-fun year in supply chain. Uncertainty has become the new certainty. Changes in tariff policies have had the side effect of pushing the affected countries closer together. That's led to reshoring efforts, which have seen particular growth in ASEAN countries. One of complexities of this shift is that labor forces are now competing with manufacturing automation and robotics, rather than skills and cost differentials in different regions. The rise of agentic AI is only increasing pressure on infrastructure and energy supplies as it accelerates operational velocity. In this powerful sermon titled "Worship Through Work," Chris Rogers explores how our daily labor—whether in the field, office, classroom, or home—is not just routine, but a sacred opportunity to honor God. Part of the ongoing series Present Yourselves: Transformed by a Life of Worship at Grace City Church, this message challenges us to reframe our view of work from a burden to a calling.Chris walks through Scripture—such as Genesis 2:15 and Colossians 3:23-24—to remind us that God designed work before the fall, and that our jobs are not just for provision, but for purpose. He explains how we can worship God through integrity, diligence, and excellence in our work, and how our workplace can become a mission field where our faith is lived out loud. With real-life stories from his life as a farmer and a father, Chris illustrates how everyday moments can be acts of worship when surrendered to the Lord. Whether you're a student, parent, entrepreneur, or employee, this sermon will inspire you to bring God into the heart of your work and see it as a holy assignment.Watch now to learn:Why work is not a curse, but a callingHow excellence and integrity at work reflect the heart of worshipWays your workplace can be a platform for mission and ministrySeries: Present Yourselves: Transformed by a Life of WorshipSpeaker: Chris RogersChurch: Grace City ChurchMessage Title: Worship Through WorkSubscribe for more sermons and teachings on how to live a life of worship in every area.#WorshipThroughWork #LifeOfWorship #GraceCityChurch #ChristianWorkEthic #FaithAtWork #ChrisRogersSermon #WorshipSeries #WorkAsWorship

A new survey from leading Irish IT managed services provider Auxilion reveals that data loss/theft and ransomware/malware attacks were the cybersecurity concerns most cited by IT leaders when it comes to the cloud - at 30% respectively. The research, carried out by Censuswide and involving IT decision-makers across large enterprises in the Republic of Ireland, found that 40% of respondents see IT security risks as a main concern associated with adopting and managing cloud computing. A similar proportion (42%) said that the changing cybersecurity landscape was one of the biggest obstacles to the successful delivery of their IT strategy. Moreover, one in four (26%) IT leaders in Ireland do not think current laws and regulations are sufficient to protect privacy, access, and confidentiality in a cloud-based environment. Adding to this, almost a quarter (24%) of IT decision-makers surveyed who are currently using the cloud do not think their own organisation has sufficient capabilities to manage cloud computing and more than a third of those respondents admitted to having little or no visibility of their workloads in the cloud (36%). Despite this, some 83% consider cloud to be a more secure approach for their organisation. It appears that IT leaders are being proactive in this area with 83% also having a cloud security strategy in place and 73% currently using a technology partner to manage their cloud strategy and services. The study also found that the shift to cloud is set to continue with nearly all respondents (96%) expecting to migrate more workloads, applications, and processes to the cloud over the next 12 months. On October 9th, Auxilion, HPE and Zerto will be holding an event hosted by broadcaster Ivan Yates to discuss the increased need for robust data protection, cloud security, and business continuity capabilities. Donal Sullivan, CTO, Auxilion, said: "While the cybersecurity landscape is constantly evolving, organisations are facing an even bigger uphill battle at the moment with the rise of threats enabled by Artificial Intelligence and the introduction of the European-wide NIS2 regulation in October. "This means businesses not only need to be more proactive when it comes to securing their data and responding to incidents, they also need to ensure that they are meeting their compliance and regulatory obligations. This requires the right technologies and partners that can support security, mobility and scalability. "The truth is that in this day and age, resilience and recovery are as important as detection and prevention when it comes to cybersecurity. Businesses which fail to recognise this and adapt their strategy could be at risk operationally, reputationally and financially." Chris Rogers, Senior Technology Evangelist, Zerto, said: "Rapid recovery from a cyber incident is more than a reactive measure - it's a critical component of a resilient and forward-thinking business strategy. The ability to swiftly bounce back from disruptions not only minimises downtime but also safeguards reputation, customer trust, and bottom line. "The real competitive edge lies in turning these challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation, and partnering with experts to unlock advanced cyber resilience capabilities can significantly accelerate an organisation's journey to cyber maturity."
