We all drink caffeine is some form or another. When we think of caffeine, we automatically think of coffee. According to the National Coffee Association: post-Covid coffee consumption is up nearly 14% since January 2021 and 66% of Americans now drink coffee each day, more than any other beverage including tap water. In this podcast, moderator Dr. Lillie Shockney is joined by addiction researcher Dr. Dustin Lee to discuss the upside and downside of caffeine and some myths surrounding caffeine consumption.

If you haven't heard of Beast & Company by now, you are most likely living my dream of being a doomsday prepper and don't have service in your bunker. Anyways, Chef Dustin Lee, Owner & Chef joins me to clear the air about some recent social media rumblings and we cover it all. Not only did Chef Dustin start in oil & gas, but he is also a self taught chef. His job allowed him to travel across the world which helped inspire his dream of opening a restaurant, especially when given the opportunity to learn cooking techniques across the world. We pop a bottle of his favorite wine, which honestly went down a little too easy, while he shared why Indian food is his favorite to make. What's your risk factor level? And what risks are worth taking? Ya'll means all in Fort Worth, so why would a Fort Worth media personality try to stir the pot with a newer restaurant in the scene. And by the way, is there beef in the Fort Worth food scene? Ya'll good? You know I had to ask the questions no one wants to, so we talk bad reviews and what is being done to address customer concerns. Which you'll learn is mostly just a lack of education and knowledge that Chef Dustin shares. Texans are used to LARGE portions, but that doesn't necessarily translate when the focus is quality and locally sourced produce. Oh yeah, and we talk about wine, because who doesn't want to talk about wine especially while enjoying some. I'm gonna let ya'll listen to this episode and make your own judgments, but personally I'm ready to make a reservation.

For some people prayer can be an elusive and intimidating concept. How do we know if we're doing it right? Is anyone really listening? How do I reconcile with scripture that seemingly says that if we ask for something then we should receive it, but then don't? With the help of First West's Children's Pastor, Dustin Lee, we discuss these things and more. He gives great tips on how to make prayer less intimidating and addresses the scriptures on prayer than many people, like me, have misunderstood.Links to things Mentioned in the Show:"Holy Spirit Interceding" Romans 8:26-27"His ways are higher than my ways" Isaiah 55:8-9ITP Medical ConditionACTS Prayer ModelSupport the show

Dustin’s conversation with Chris centers around how creatives can start to think about passive income. But unlike a lot of other talks you have heard or read on the subject, Dustin gets into tactics. Like how to choose the right product, building something that stands out, and overcoming the aversion to marketing. If you're interested in using your creative skills to generate passive income, then this episode will make you happy. Grab your notebook (or laptop) and get ready to take notes. In the winter, a fridge takes warm air from inside the house which has been warmed by your heater, and cools it off again. In the summer, a fridge vents hot air into a house which you're trying to cool down with air conditioning. Why not position your fridge next to an outside wall, and use a vent/duct leading outdoors to either take in or vent out air (depending on the season) to save electricity? Or you could have a 2nd, tiny refridgerator door which leads outside, so Amazon grocery delivery can place food directly into the fridge. This could also allow you to sit in the fridge with the tiny door open to cool yourself off Originally from Creativity Wasted episode 65 Dustin "Lee" (not real name, by request) Scott Fischer (Instagram: @scottimscott) Tom Walma (Twitter: @thomaswalma) Recorded at Podcast Detroit

Alternate Income Streams. Using your gifts on different platforms. Finding revenue streams through relationships and friendships. Get connected to many designers and illustrators. Passive Income for designers. Trying your hand with patreon. Launching courses through Patreon, a subscription based model. Getting connected within an industry. Episode 270. Aired September 26, 2018. This week I am excited to have my good friend Dustin Lee back on the show. Dustin and I have been friends for years and I have seen his business grow and change. I think it is due to his always trying to improve and his connectivity within the industry. He spends a lot of virtual time with other people and listening to what they need, then creates products to fill those needs. He also is on the popular weekly podcast, The Honest Designers Show, and talks to other entrepreneurs in the industry. I love this podcast! @honestdesigners One of those projects was a course he launched a few years ago called Passive Income for designers. He was asked by LinkedIn Learning (previously Lynda.com) to do a version of that course for them. When we met recently, we got to chatting about Patreon, so this episode is going to talk about alternate areas you can tap to spread out your income sources, which is always a good idea.
