In this episode, we chat with Peita, an accountant-turned-NDIS Support Coordinator. Peita takes us through her transition from accounting to working in disability support and she tells us about life with Emjay – her 10-year-old daughter who lives with disabilities.  When she was only 6 months old, Emjay began to have seizures. This began a series of tests and medication trials that, years later, led to a  diagnosis of Dravet Syndrome. We chat with Peita about her family's experiences and what it takes to support Emjay's personal journey. Having experienced first-hand the challenges of NDIS plans and procedures, Peita jumped at the opportunity to help other families navigate the process. As we always say here at Be Physiology – the goal of disability support services should be to no longer need us! Peita backs us up and shares positive stories of people she's seen make that move toward independence. She offers invaluable advice to parents of children with disabilities and stresses the importance of building a positive support team. TRIGGER WARNING! This episode is an emotional one for me and one of the hardest I had to record and edit. We had to once again gone through one of the worst experiences as pet owner. Freddy and I recently put down our 13 year old furry baby, Emjay. I was in the room with him kissing him until his very last breath. How do you know when it's time to say goodbye to something you love so much? I have struggled with that question each time I had to unfortunately say goodbye to one of my furry babies. It DOESN'T get easier once you go through it once. I have had to put 4 furry babies down and each time my heart gets ripped out of my chest. I know that I am not alone in this pain. People around you may never truly understand your sadness and grief because only you and your pet had that beautiful relationship. You take all the time you need to heal. This is part of my healing process, sharing and talking about it with you all. I hope this shows that it's okay to not be sure when to put your furry loved one down. There are things to look for and pay attention to help you make this difficult decision. I have included the videos I watched that helped me to know when it was time. They may have been poisoned.Bio attack?One woman in attendance may have been drugged.At the rally venue, which 500 people attended, the ventilation system was disabled. Two individuals in attendance who were wearing masks(excellent cover) were acting strange, according to Jeremy.They were yelling very script-like right wing slogans. After the event, they followed Jeremy's group out.The intentions of these shady, masked, Israeli accented individuals is unknown. Still, they appeared quite dubious.A member of the PPC party, Mark Friesen, was at this event. He came down with severe bacterial pneumonia. Mark is now in a coma in a hospital in Ontario.He could have been a targeted man.The hospital that Mark is in has been doxxed, and his family is being harrassed.Such a multitude of strangeness.
