WWE released another swath of superstars with Keith Lee headlining the 18 wrestlers who are no longer employed by the company. Host Adam Silverstein and co-host Chris Vannini quickly convene to provide their instant reaction to the releases. There are at least 18 names, including former Raw Women's Champion Nia Jax...and former NXT Champions Karrion Kross and Keith Lee. Also released from the main roster...Hit Row's B-Fab, Mia Yim, Eva Marie, the Lucha House Party - Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado - and Harry Smith, who signed earlier this year but never appeared on TV. More names were cut from the NXT roster: Former NXT Women's Champion Ember Moon...Former NXT Tag Team Champion Oney Lorcan...Also, Franky Monet, Scarlett, Trey Baxter, Jessi Kamea, Katrina Cortez and Jeet Rama. Earlier in the day, WWE executives held their third quarter earnings call. The company reported more than $255 million dollars in revenue - a year-to-year increase of 15%. As of Thursday night, there are no matches announced for Friday night's SmackDown. BUT we can tell you that Friday night's 205 Live will have the newly formed tag team Jacket Time - that's Kushida & Ikeman Jiro - vs. the Grizzled Young Veterans. Meiko Satomura is STILL the NXT UK Women's Champion. She beat Jinny to retain her title on Thursday's episode. Also, Rampage Brown laid out the UK Champion Ilja Dragunov. Earlier in the show, Brown beat Flash Morgan Webster. Angel Hayze won her NXT UK debut. She got a DQ win over Isla Dawn when Dawn ignored the referee's instructions to break a hold. Moustache Mountain was added to what is now a 4-WAY Tag Title #1 Contenders Match on next week's episode. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight's AEW Rampage has the final first round match in the TBS Championship Tournament. It's The Bunny vs. Red Velvet. Plus, Adam Cole vs. John Silver...and CM Punk will be on hand to meet Eddie Kingston face-to-face. (STINGER: Impact) The new #1 Contender for the X-Division Championship is...Laredo Kid. He pinned Rohit Raju to win a 4-Way on Thursday's Impact Wrestling that also included Steve Maclin and Black Taurus. Laredo Kid will get his title shot against Trey Miguel at the Turning Point special on November 20th.. Decay will get their rematch for the Knockouts Tag Titles against the team the took the gold from them - The IInspiration. That match is now set for the Turning Point. Mickie James is still the Knockouts Champion. She beat Madison Rayne to retain her title on Thursday's Impact. After the match, the #1 Contender Mercedes Martinez headed to the ring to chat with the James. Those two will also meet at Turning Point. A non-title match between the Impact Tag Champs the Good Brothers and FinJuice ended in a no contest...after Bullet Club's El Phantasmo, Hikuleo & Chris Bey ran down to the ring and beat up everyone. There will be a Tag Title #1 Contenders Match next week between Bullet Club members and FinJuice. Also on Thursday's show, Impact World Champion Moose, W. Morrissey, & Minoru Suzuki beat Josh Alexander, Matt Cardona, & Eddie Edwards in the main event. Morrissey pinned Edwards. Big E defended his WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley - not once, but TWICE - on last night's Raw. First, Big E and Lashley opened the show with a title match that ended in a disqualification...after a ringside brawl between the rest of The New Day and members of the newly reunited Hurt Business, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. That led to a second title match between Big E vs. Lashley in the main event...inside a Steel Cage. Big E pinned Lashley after a Big Ending from the second rope. After the match, Drew McIntyre returned to Raw...and pointed his sword at Big E as the show went off the air. Goldberg appeared via satellite during Raw...and made it clear that he is not done with Lashley. Damian Priest held onto the United States Championship in a brutal and bloody match against Sheamus. Doudrop answered Charlotte Flair's open challenge for a shot at the Raw Women's Title. But a timely distraction by Eva Marie allowed Charlotte to get the pin after hitting Doudrop with Natural Selection. After the match, Shayna Baszler attacked Eva Marie. AJ Styles used the Styles Clash to pin one-half of the Raw Tag Champs Riddle. Angel Garza pinned Erik of the Viking Raiders with the Wing Clipper. On last night's AEW Dark… Dante Martin beat Alan “5” Angels…and Orange Cassidy, Chuckie T, Wheeler YUTA beat Matt Hardy & TH2. Cassidy pinned Angelico. (STINGER: WWE) On last night's NXT...The NEW NXT Champion Samoa Joe asked who will step up to challenge him. Pete Dunne, LA Knight and Kyle O'Reilly all answered. That led to a big brawl...where Ridge Holland attacked O'Reilly and Tommaso Ciampa attacked Dunne. Earlier, Holland pinned Timothy Thatcher with a powerslam. A post-match melee saw the return of Danny Burch...as he helped Holland, Dunne and Oney Lorcan lay waste to Thatcher and Ciampa. As for O'Reilly...his troubles did not end with Holland. O'Reilly later got into a backstage brawl with Duke Hudson. Carmelo Hayes used a crucifix pin to beat Odyssey Jones and win the NXT Breakout Tournament. Hayes now gets a shot at the title of his choice. Legado Del Fantasma has a new member. Elektra Lopez helped the group defeat Hit Row in last night's main event. Kayden Carter & Kacy Catanzaro beat Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne. The losers were later approached backstage by Mandy Rose. Kay Lee Ray pinned Valentina Feroz with a Gory Bomb. Franky Monet challenged NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez to a title match. Ted DiBiase formally presented Cameron Grimes with the Million Dollar Championship, but WAIT A SECOND - it was a replica! And DiBiase sped away in his limo with the real thing. Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis announced their wedding date is set for the September 14th episode of NXT. WWE's pay per view in Atlanta on New Year's Day will be called “WWE Day 1”. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor's Pure Champion Jonathan Gresham is recovering from a fractured cheekbone and eye socket. ROH said he suffered the injury during last Saturday's Glory By Honor show. ROH also revealed that Rush suffered a knee injury on that same show...but the exact nature of the injury is not known. And ROH says Flip Gordon was “experiencing memory loss” after the show. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan confirmed that Will Ospreay, Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer will be part of its shows in Philadelphia on October 16 & 17. Kross finally showed up at the very end of last night's NXT...standing over an unconscious GM William Regal in the parking lot. Kross sped away as Joe could only watch. Raquel Gonzalez is still the NXT Women's Champion. She beat Xia Li in last night's main event. The rest of Tian Sha were NOT on hand to back up Li. Xia Li appeared to be injured by a corner splash by Gonzalez. The match was stopped while the medical staff checked on her. After a minute or so, they allowed the match to continue...and Gonzalez quickly put Li away with a chokebomb for the pin. Odyssey Jones beat Andre Chase to advance in the NXT Breakout Tournament. Drake Maverick got an upset, rollup win over LA Knight...after Maverick pushed Knight into the Million Dollar Championship being held by Knight's butler Cameron Grimes. On last night's NWA Powerrr...the groundwork was laid for the upcoming Champions Series tournament. This will be a team competition...and the captains are all current champions in the NWA. They drafted their teams last night. The tournament begins next Tuesday. The future of the GHC Tag Team Titles will be decided at Pro-Wrestling NOAH's show on Thursday. The former champs Masa Kitamiya and Katsuhiko Nakajima recently battled in a Hair vs. Hair Steel Cage Match. Safe to assume, they're not going to patch things up anytime soon. So, they each found a new partner to compete in this match for the tag titles. It'll be Masa Kitamiya & Kaito Kiyomiya vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima & Manabu Soya. Plus, a Coffin Match between Darby Allin and Ethan Page...Christian Cage vs. Matt Hardy...Penelope Ford vs. Yuka Sakazaki...and we'll hear from Hangman Page. On last night's AEW Dark… Julia Hart pinned Madi Wrenkowski with a split legdrop...Angelico beat Wheeler Yuta...and Billy & Colten Gunn beat Cezar Bononi & JD Drake. Rickey Shane Page made his AEW debut...with a loss to Top Flight's Dante Martin. Diamante beat Harlow O'Hara..and then issued a challenge to Big Swole. Trent shared an update on his recovery from neck surgery. (Trent Neck Surgery) That's Trent speaking with Digital Spy's Stephanie Chase. (STINGER: WWE) Karrion Kross is STILL the NXT Champion. He kicked out of Johnny Gargano's One Final Beat...and then blitzed him with a series of powerbombs, a Saito Suplex and a forearm to the back of the neck before getting the pin. Kross and special referee Samoa Joe were in each other's face throughout the match...and after the match, Kross choked out Joe. Duke Hudson pinned Ikeman Jiro with a Boss Man Slam to advance in the NXT Breakout Tournament. Dakota Kai pinned Ember Moon with the Go To Kick. After the match, Xia Li confronted NXT Women's Champ Raquel Gonzalez. And that title match is now set for next week's show. It looks like Mandy Rose is back in NXT. She showed up on stage to watch the end of Sarray's win over Gigi Dolin. Later, Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter beat Aliyah & Jessie Kamea. After the match, Aliyah cut ties with Robert Stone...and beat the crap out of him. Franky Monet then came out to retrieve Kamea and Stone. Backstage...Monet, Kamea and Stone met up with Mandy Rose, who said “it looks like the Robert Stone Brand is under new management”. Santos Escobar got a little help from the rest of Legado Del Fantasma...and pinned Dexter Lumis. Legado Del Fantasma had a brief faceoff with Hit Row after the match. The Diamond Mine's Tyler Rust pinned Bobby Fish with a Buzzsaw Kick. The Mine's plan for a post match beatdown was interrupted by Kushida. Bronson Reed confronted Adam Cole...and got the better of a physical altercation between them. Cameron Grimes' first week as LA Knight's butler didn't quite go how Knight expected. Grimes spent his own considerable wealth to outsource all the chores he was assigned. (STINGER: Impact) A stipulation added to the Impact World Championship match at Saturday night's Slammiversary pay per view. Kenny Omega will now defend the title against Sami Callihan in a No Disqualification Match. The NWA held a news conference Tuesday to promote its back-to-back pay per views in St. Louis coming up next month. The all-women Empowerrr show on Saturday, August 28th will feature the NWA Women's Invitational Cup tournament. The winner will get a shot at the NWA Women's World Championship at the NWA's 73rd Anniversary pay per view the following day. The first announced entrant for the tournament is Tootie Lynn. (STINGER: WWE) The NXT Championship is on the line tonight. Former champ Finn Balor gets his rematch against Karrion Kross. Also being promoted for tonight, Bobby Fish's first match since his return from injury. He's set to face Pete Dunne. Plus, Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai vs. Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon...the NXT in-ring debut of Franky Monet...and Cameron Grimes faces off with Ted DiBiase. Less than a week after he was released by WWE, the former Velveteen Dream - Patrick Clark - posted a lengthy statement on his Instagram. Clark said his termination was the result of Speaking Out accusations against him...that surfaced more than a year ago. Clark gave a detailed account of his version of the events involving two of his accusers...calling their stories “baseless and untrue.” Charlotte Flair will get her one-on-one match against Rhea Ripley for the Raw Women's Championship...and it will happen at Hell In A Cell. That match was announced on last night's Raw...not long after Charlotte used a cradle to pin Asuka. As for Ripley, she technically lost a Beat The Clock match to Nikki Cross...who survived two minutes against Ripley without being beaten. It was Charlotte who goaded Ripley into taking the match. Natalya & Tamina are still the WWE Womens' Tag Team Champions. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler, appeared to be in position to take back the titles...but Reginald chose the wrong moment to jump up onto the apron. Baszler told Reggie to get lost...but as he walked up the ramp fire erupted from the stage. That distracted Baszler and allowed Natalya to grab a small package and get the pin. Baszler was fuming at Reginald after the match. She grabbed him and demanded he face her one-on-one in a match on next week's Raw. Also set for next Monday...Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston. The winner will get the shot at WWE Champ Bobby Lashley at Hell In A Cell. They actually tried to do McIntyre vs. Kingston - with the same stakes - on last night's Raw...but Lashley and MVP got involved and the referee threw the match out. Sheamus used a handful of tights to pin Humberto Carrillo. Sheamus tried to beat up Carrillo some more after the match, but Ricochet ran out to make the save. Riddle faced off against Xavier Woods...and it was Riddle getting the win...pinning Woods with the RKO. Jaxson Ryker pinned AJ Styles after outside interference from Elias. Cedric Alexander pinned Shelton Benjamin. (STINGER: New Japan) The latest New Japan wrestler to confirm he tested positive for COVID-19 is Taichi. He told Tokyo Sports he started feeling sick after performing at the Wrestling Dontaku shows. Taichi said his symptoms were mild. Meanwhile, some news that could impact foreign talent looking to wrestle in Japan. The U.S. State Department issued a “Do Not Travel” advisory for the country...citing a “very high level of COVID-19 in the country”. Some familiar faces to fans of New Japan on last night's Dark: Elevation. Ren Narita pinned Royce Isaacs with his bridging belly-to-belly suplex. And Rocky Romero pinned JD Drake with a cradle. The Wingmen tried to jump Romero after the match...but Best Friends - including Romero's former tag partner Trent - ran out for the save. The show ended with them reunited as their old Roppongi Vice theme played. Tonight's NWA Powerrr is being promoted as a “season finale”...with some big matches, including the one between Thunder Rosa and Kamille. The winner is the #1 contender for Serena Deeb's NWA Women's World Championship. There are added stakes for Thunder Rosa. If she loses, the Forbidden Door for her, is closed and locked. She can no longer wrestle anywhere other than the NWA. Also on the show...Aron Stevens and Kratos defend the NWA Tag Titles against the War Kings - Jax Dane & Crimson. There's a battle royal to decide the #1 contender for Nick Aldis' NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Plus, Aldis himself will be in action. He'll go one-on-one against Mims. (STINGER: ROH) The Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles are staying with The Foundation. HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus turned away the challenge of Matt Taven and Mike Bennett on ROH's weekend TV. Williams pinned Taven with a piledriver...after Taven was hobbled by an ankle injury. Fred Yehi used the Koji Clutch to submit Rocky Romero in a Pure Rules Match. Also on the show, Flip Gordon demanded a shot at Rush and the ROH World Championship...but Gordon was interrupted by EC3...who simply said “you've been warned”...and left.
