Jeff talks with author and speaker, Jennifer Tracy. About Jennifer:https://jennifertracy-inspire.com/Jennifer Tracy was born and raised in Colorado. She married young and had 3 daughters by the time she was 24. She considers herself a lifelong learner—and cites her most useful degree being an Honorary Doctorate in “RLE” (Real Life Experience). Jennifer uses every day language to bring to life what she has learned from her three years of study at Metropolitan State College, therapy, faith and so much more.Jennifer experienced abuse on many levels as a child. In spite of those hardships, she graduated a year early from high school with a 4.0 GPA. At the age of 29, she lost her husband and one of her twin daughters in a car crash caused by a drunk driver. Her two surviving daughters, McKayla and Amber, were left permanently injured. Both have graduated from high school, and her oldest daughter, McKayla, graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Criminal Justice Degree.Within a year of this life-altering crash, Jennifer was diagnosed not only with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) but also a brain malformation. Instead of being a victim of these circumstances, with God's help, Jennifer focused on being a survivor and forged all of these events into something significant and positive.Host: Jeff Johnstonwww.livingundeterred.org

Check out their link at www.cjevolution.com If there is one thing you should be guarding every-day, it’s your HEALTH. I want to tell you about my good friends at BiOptimizers. If there’s ONE MINERAL, you should be worried about not getting enough of... it’s MAGNESIUM. Magnesium is the body’s “master mineral” powerful over 300 critical reactions, including detoxification... fat metabolism... energy... EVEN digestion is influenced by the presence of magnesium. There are two BIG PROBLEMS here: Magnesium has been largely missing from US soil since the 1950s... which explains why it’s estimated that up to 80% of the population may be deficient... AND... Most supplements contain only 1 or 2 forms of magnesium... when in reality there are at least 7 that your body needs and benefits from. That’s why I’m so excited to tell you about a new magnesium product I’ve been taking now called, Magnesium Breakthrough. It’s the ULTIMATE magnesium supplement, easily the best I’ve ever seen or experienced... with all 7 forms of this mineral. I’m even more excited because it’s finally BACK IN STOCK! Magnesium Breakthrough has been selling faster than the company who makes it, BiOptimizers, has been able to keep up with. It’s already sold out a few times and due to supply shortages with everything going on in the world, it could very well be sold out again shortly.  The CJ Evolution Team was able to arrange for some stock to be set aside just for our audience and I guarantee it’s the BEST deal available on this product. Seriously! With volume discounts combined with our custom 10% coupon code, CJE10, you can save up to 40% off select packages of Magnesium Breakthrough! That’s an AMAZING value. And I promise that deal is ONLY available on this specific website, www.magbreakthrough.com/cjevolution    You won’t find that deal on Amazon or even the company’s own website. This deal is exclusively for podcast listeners and it’s legitimately for a limited time while supplies last. They’ve also completely revamped their checkout process and it’s much friendlier and easy. Magnesium Breakthrough is the most effective magnesium supplement I’ve ever tried. Say goodbye to having to buy 7 different bottles of magnesiums to get the complete dose. Go to www.magbreakthrough.com/cjevolution  and use coupon code CJE10 to save up to 40% off select packages to get the most full spectrum and effective magnesium product ever. “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved, and always will solve the problems of the human race.” – Calvin Coolidge. My next guest is Jennifer Tracy. #011: This week's guest is Jennifer Tracy, who lives in Los Angeles with her 10-year-old son and their two sweet rescue dogs. In this episode, Jennifer shares all the chapters of her motherhood story, starting with how she learned she was pregnant, to loving pregnancy (and pregnancy sex!), to having a swift, unmedicated birth, and then into a difficult and lonely postpartum period. She reveals what led her to seek help for postpartum depression and about her path to recovery and rediscovery of herself. Jennifer also shares about learning to hold exquisite space for her son’s panic attacks which stem from his ADHD diagnosis and how she nurtures herself inside of it all. Jennifer’s sense of humor comes through as she confesses embarrassing mom moments, and her heart shines brightly as she shares what she loves about her son at 10 years old. Finally, she talks about what stirs her creativity as a writer, shares the inspiration from her own life that sparked the spicy idea for her novel, and offers tips for how others can begin to unlock their own stories. We also discuss the ridiculous notion that motherhood and sexuality don’t mix and more!Jennifer Tracy is a veteran actor, writer, producer, and content creator. Starting her professional career at the age of 14, Jennifer ‘learned by doing’ and began honing her eye for composition, mise en scène, and narrative form. Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science in Screenwriting from Boston University, also studying cinema in specialized programs in Australia and France before moving to Los Angeles. Jennifer also co-created one of Hollywood’s most successful Special Effects companies, Imagine That Enterprises, Inc., supplying major films and TV productions with script breakdowns, effects talent, materials, and equipment.Jennifer doesn’t do anything half-way, and she credits eight hours of sleep per night and rising at 5 am each morning for the amount of prolific creative work she churns out. That, and a steady diet of PG Tips with milk and raw honey. (Oh, and chocolate, as needed.) Testimonials from Jennifer’s creative consulting clients speak volumes. Her passion for story and unveiling vulnerability through narrative form fuels her work with clients and networks. Jennifer’s talent for teasing the story out of a writer/creator is unmatched. She has a gentle, yet palpable, electricity in her sessions whereby she elicits depth and a fresh perspective when often the creatives thought they had reached a stalemate. The Ultimate MILF: Jennifer’s popular podcast, MILF Podcast (Moms I’d Like to Follow), is now well into its second year of production, with over 55,000 downloads. Jennifer interviews moms on the show each week, sharing women’s stories of motherhood, sexuality, entrepreneurship, and captivating the ears of thousands of people worldwide. Welcome to another episode of Thrive in 40, a quick tip to kickstart your week in 40 seconds or less.  In this episode, Jennifer Tracy, writing coach and host of the MILF Podcast, shares her tip to get out of your head and reconnect to your body.  Something I didn’t know or learn until I was in my late 30s was how not in my body I was, just really walking around in my head and my thoughts and not in touch with the wisdom of my feminine body. And so once I did learn that through a form of movement, it changed everything, it changed the way I told my stories, it changed the way I stood in my own story, so I just wanna invite you wherever you are to put your hand on your chest where your heart is and breathe. Just feel into your body and continue that through the rest of your day because she has wisdom to share with you and she has stories to tell. Every once in a while you meet someone who stops you in your tracks and forces you to take notice. That's what happened to me when I first met Jennifer Tracy. Jen was a guest at The Self Care Project, an event I co-hosted in late 2018. Here I was, standing on the stage, watching the ladies in front of me receive all of the gifts our incredible speakers were sharing. Jennifer was light a ray of light, embracing the day like no one else. I knew I needed to meet this woman and hear her story.  Well you are in for a real treat! In this first-time-ever pod swap, the Forty Thrive podcast is being hosted by Jennifer Tracy, host of the MILF podcast. And yes, that also means you should head over to the MILF podcast and listen to this week's episode, hosted by yours truly! Special Event Jennifer Tracy presents her breakthrough podcast, MILF Podcast (that’s Moms I’d Like to Follow) in front of a live audience. Jennifer welcomes several of her MILF guests on stage to openly riff about sex after kids and, well, just sex. There will be bawdy-ness, there will be sexy-ness, and mostly there will be milf-y-ness. Oh, and also some pole dancing. What? Did you really think there wouldn’t be? Come on! Special guests to be announced prior to event. If an event is sold out online, there will be no tickets available at the door unless otherwise posted on our socials. About Jennifer Tracy Telling women’s stories is at the heart of everything I do. The rich, complex, and sometimes messy lives we lead as women allow us to birth remarkable stories and experiences. And those are the stories that heal us and connect us to one another. We need that more than ever. There is no “village” to raise our kids. We create the village; on the internet; in our kids’ schools. Within these communities, we find the antidote to feeling profound isolation. Providing listeners with the conversations on MILF podcast is a way for me to help mitigate that isolation for moms in all stages of motherhood. At least for one hour. I never felt so alone as when I was first home from the hospital, by myself with my newborn, and I was certain that I was already failing. No one was telling me that, but no one was there to tell me that I wasn’t. I needed support. I didn’t have it. I didn’t know how to ask for support. This is ultimately why I created the MILF Podcast, it’s why I’m a novelist, and it’s why I’m driven to bring women together to create powerful connection and community with them. (I also like to push boundaries of societal norms and what is “appropriate” for women’s roles, which is why I chose the acronym MILF as the name of the show. Not only did I want to turn MILF (and its original definition) on its head, reclaiming and redefining our sexuality as women with children, but I also had a deep desire to embolden femininity in its most powerful form (creating and sustaining life through our divine sexual bodies) and the fierce strength of that which translates to so many other creative forms. I’ve also learned everything I know about motherhood by literally Following other Moms who paved the way before me or alongside me. Much of my formative years were spent as a film student in Boston, France, and Australia, and then I moved to Los Angeles to work as an actress. I pressed pause on that path when I became a mother. After giving birth to my son in 2009, I used writing as a form of survival and therapy, exploring motherhood, postpartum depression, and its struggles. Telling my story in essays and articles online ultimately inspired me to write my first novel which ultimately led to working with other writers who are finding their voices in story which then led to starting this podcast and hearing the stories of brilliant women I’d love to follow every week who are also figuring out how to balance motherhood and their creative lives as entrepreneurs, artists, and badass women! Shamelessly Feminine

How can you discover your femininity? Is it possible to embrace your aging self? And why are sexuality and femininity so closely tied together? I chat with MILF podcast host and author Jennifer Tracy dive deep as we talk about femininity, sensuality, and sexuality as women in our 40s. Jennifer shares her personal story about how she discovered her femininity and what pole dancing as to do with all of it! How Pole Dancing Changed Jennifer’s Life Initially, Jennifer took a pole dancing class as a fundraiser hosted by a friend. She’d done burlesque and belly dancing before so she was comfortable in her skin and didn’t think the class would be that big of a deal. However, she walked into a dark room with no mirrors and she felt very awkward in her body during the class. But it was through this class that she started to wake up to her own sexuality and sensuality. Pole dancing is not about form or choreography, but all about organic movement and feeling alive. Before she started pole dancing, she felt frumpy and wore baggy clothes. Now she’s told she’s sexy just by how she carries herself.  Jennifer’s Journey in Discovering her Femininity Jennifer’s femininity-journey changed everything in her life in three major ways: As she rediscovered her femininity, she realized that her marriage wasn’t working. She and her husband went to counseling, but eventually got a divorce. Jennifer changed the kind of woman she was around. She was now drawn to people who were confident, empowered, and didn’t want her to dim her light. Her creative juices were flowing so she wrote a novel. Aging + Sexuality As a 40-year-old woman, I often don’t see myself in ads. I feel forgotten and overlooked. Jennifer also said that she tries not to judge her wrinkles and skin tone. When my doctor suggested that my ovaries be removed, I cried. Here’s what Jennifer said: “There is a grieving that goes along with all of these stages that is natural and needs to be honored.” Our culture doesn’t give us space to grieve. Jennifer also realized that as she gets older, she needs more rest. She reminds us that our bodies will tell us what we need.  Why Do Sensuality and Femininity Live so Closely Together? Jennifer says that in ancient Egypt and Greece, sensuality came with empowerment. Beautiful women were adorned in beautiful clothes. Through the ages, there’s a great deal of power in beauty and sensuality. Beauty, love, sex, and lust are very powerful.  Connect with Jennifer Tracy:  Podcast Website Instagram Listen + Subscribe on Apple Podcasts or STITCHER We’d greatly appreciate a podcast rating and review so that we can reach more women! However, there has been one constant in her life that she is beyond grateful for, and that constant is love. Love is the great connector that binds us all together and affects our lives in profound and indescribable ways. Jennifer takes the audience through her journey of romantic heartbreak, the loss of a dear friend, and the key to self-love. She is a true believer that everyone loves differently and that is not a bad thing. We all love in ways that are specific to our own unique experiences and personalities. Finally, she talks about the amazing journey she began when she decided to launch this podcast. Jennifer is a staunch proponent of the healing power of story.
