After a week not on vacation together, Jess and Caroline are back in-person with a stupid vengeance. Caroline is fresh off a time-pressured mast sesh and Jess is reeling from her tertiary involvement, so the energy is PG-13 despite all the talk about cartoons. Their butts get hot as Bugs Bunny, Max Goof, Aladdin, and Danny Phantom are described in intimate detail; whichever you're into, it's always your choice. "The game," however, may not be. A quick detour from the sexually charged giggles turns to a listener DM inquiring about how important it is to do everything with your partner. TL;DR: Don't do that. We discuss the fickle balance between solo time, friend time, one-on-one partner time, and partnered group time - nobody said it was easy, but Jess is proud of herself for communicating her priorities to the people closest to her. Caroline frees us all of the notion that it makes you a bad friend to be obsessed with a romantic interest for a while, but she also notes how important it is to keep in touch with your full life when that starts to happen. AND ALSO a story about being super chill in a sex shop, two petty complaints, Jess's cute and funny battle with idioms, puppies, and hilarious wisdom from the Nora Ephron documentary. __ This episode was edited by none other than our prince, Abi Newhouse. __ Share with a friend! Damon returns to the show and gives a report on his recent WDW trip including Moonlight Magic at Typhoon Lagoon, the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, new rides, and staying at Old Key West. Disney announced that Max Goof will appear as Powerline in the Boo to You Parade during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. At their recent earnings call, Disney gave some insight into park demand, park reservations and future investments in the parks. Soarin' at EPCOT is testing a single ride line. With D23 just a few weeks away, the guys discuss rumors that a return date for “Fantasmic!” will be announced at the event along with a long rumored Wreck-It Ralph themed attraction.
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. Before we tell you all about our Adventures by Disney trip to Portugal, it's time for a little Disney News! While we were gone, a lot has happened. San Diego Comic Con for one, which had a few major announcements. The biggest of these was that Daredevil will be getting an 18 episode first season on Disney+. The biggest absence of an announcement though was regarding phase 6 of the MCU, which we assume will be reserved for D23. Tokyo DisneySea debuted its new night show “Believe! Sea of Dreams” which replaced Phantasmic and features projection mapping on the Hotel MiraCosta. Disney also had its earnings call. The parks are making money, but the streaming services are losing money. During the call, we learned that on December 8th, Disney+ will increase its cost $3 if you want to continue to watch your content ad free or you can continue to pay $7.99 but will have to watch with ads. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party stared on August 12. New this year is a Max Goof wearing a Powerline costume. Phew! That was a lot of news! Okay, we're ready to dig in to our Adventures by Disney trip to Portugal. Adventures by Disney is essentially group travel with a pre-set itinerary and the Disney-level of service. The Portugal trip begins in Porto, then moves to the capital city of Lisbon and finishes up in the Algarve. In this podcast, we discuss our favorite parts of the trip, our least favorite parts of the trip, the value of having the guides vs booking it yourselves, and give you a step by step of the experience. Then we candidly tell you whether or not we think it was worth it. When doing a trip like this, it's easiest to book through a travel agent since there are a lot of little things you need to do ahead of time. We always book through Becky Ginther at Castle Dreams Travel. Check her out at beckyg@castledreamstravel.com. As always, thank you so much for listening! Don't forget to check us out on Facebook and Youtube or submit a question/topic for us to discuss on a future episode or support us on Patreon. Have a magical week!

One. Hundred. Episodes! Thrilled… Honored… Grateful… So many words can be used to describe our feeling as we release our 100th episode. It's such a special treat that we were able to speak about one of our favorite movies with three men who brought it to the screen. We invite back to the podcast, Kevin Lima, who not only directed A Goofy Movie but also is such an inspiration to our show. We are joined for the first time by Disney Legend Bill Farmer, who has voiced Goofy for over thirty years. Jason Marsden who also joins for the first time, played Max Goof and has a prolific voice acting career in all forms of media. As a group we discuss stories behind A Goofy Movie as well as individual tales from Kevin, Bill and Jason. Truly we can't thank them enough for their time. We begin this week with a very odd quiz about becoming a Disney animal. Somehow neither of us are Max Goof (he's a dog, after all). We then switch gears to the Animal Kingdom, and fixing what some might say is only just barely broken - a roller coaster themed after India or whatever. Scottye falls down a Disco Yeti rabbit hole (yeti hole) and somehow finds his favorite chef, while Jim goes on a Big Thunder-esque hunt for treasure with everyone's most favoritiest butler. You can almost hear Joe Rohde frantically scribbling notes in the background. Remember to follow us on twitter @oppattshow to be able to watch our recordings live and in glorious technicolor every week (usually at some point between 9 and 11 EDT but almost never on the same day every time)
In this episode, Andrew and Kevin talk about A Goofy Movie as a well as, An extremely goofy movie. Kevin is upset that Max Goof is no longer official Disney canon. We air our frustrations and state why Max should come back.
Gee gosh, this week we turn up the goof with A GOOFY MOVIE, the 1995 Disney animated comedy starring uh... Goofy, along with Max Goof, some other Goofs and Paulie Shore. The perfect cast! This movie overlaid the classic zaniness of early Disney animation with the crushing guilt of knowing you're a terrible son and not calling your folks enough. We loved this movie when we were younger, but how does it hold up now that we're a bunch of old goofs? Day 20: Mickey Mouse drags his pals into third dimension in the 2004 direct-to-DVD Disney special, “Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas.” On This Episode Mike Westfall (@fallwestmike), an oblivious North Pole workshop supervisor who can’t tell the difference between an elf and a duck. Drew Crowley (@pizzanautgo) of The Hourchive. John Dedeke (@johndedeke), also of The Hourchive, and Long Weekend. Topics and Tangents If you haven’t been to a Disney theme park in the last year or two, Mickey has a different face now. The hippo and crocodile from “Fantasia” have names, because of course they have names. Chuck McCann, the voice of Santa, was the Dreamfinder, so here’s the original Journey into Imagination. A quick lesson on how time zones work. Putting someone’s name on Santa’s list makes it as absolute as the Goblet of Fire. One of parenting’s greatest benefits: Embarrassing your kids when they bring home love interests. Making snow angels in popcorn on the roof is now on my bucket list. The Grumpy Dog who keeps showing up only to get beverages spilled on him is the Stan Lee of the Mickey Mouse universe, which I only mention because we recorded this the day after Stan died. Between the Goofys and the Plutos of this universe, there are talking reindeer who can own pets. Shout-out to Hidden Mickeys podcast. Tired: Putting out carrots for Santa’s reindeer. Wired: “Finding” reindeer poop in the yard. Day 19: We attempt to make sense of time, space, and the Disney fowl food chain as we watch the 1999 special, “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas.” On This Episode Mike Westfall (@fallwestmike), a water fowl trapped in an endless time loop in a cabin in the woods Drew Crowley (@pizzanautgo) of The Hourchive. John Dedeke (@johndedeke), also of The Hourchive, and Long Weekend. Topics and Tangents Donald Duck’s comically enormous, fanmade family tree. Happy “Duck to the Future” Day! The “Quack Pack” intro will tell you everything you need to know about “Quack Pack.” Does Donald’s Christmas cabin exist in a turducken thunderdome? Donald Jr., a tiny, semi-realistic duck introduced in “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.” The Fab Five supposedly live in the fictional U.S. state of Calisota, on the Pacific coast. Pete has been a cat this entire time! Pete smokes a cigar, something since reportedly banned from Disney movies, despite still showing up in Disney movies. Recycled animation alert: Mickey’s wacky, tongue-waggling dance first appeared in 1942’s “Mickey’s Birthday Party.” Previous Episode of This Podcast Mentioned Season 2, Episode 9: Christmas at Walt Disney World You can visit the Advent Calendar House on the web at adventcalendar.house, on Twitter @adventcalhouse, and on the Christmas Podcast Network.

In this chapter, Jillian & Jerry celebrate an obvious sweeps week as we witness the brain swapping of Shawn and Minkus and witness the brutal savagery that is....Topanga. Also they try to inspect the minds of Eric and Max Goof as they get into a bunch of shenanigans involving Kathy Ireland, lobsters and girls with very little self-respect.
