Project 2025 proposes to eliminate the Department of Education and divert federal education funding into universal school voucher programs, allowing public money to be used for private and for-profit schools. This would result in cuts to critical services and programs at public schools, including mental health counseling, school resource officers, after-school programs, reading/writing specialists, and services for students with disabilities. Classroom sizes at public schools would increase substantially due to the funding cuts, hampering the ability to provide a quality education. The plan also calls for the censorship of curriculum and book banning related to topics like racial equity, LGBTQ issues, and reproductive health. Private for-profit schools receiving voucher funds have been found to use substandard or misleading curriculum, including teaching that dinosaurs and humans co-existed and that slavery was not as bad as portrayed. Overall, the goal of Project 2025 is to end public education in the United States in favor of a privatized, deregulated school system, with devastating consequences for students, especially those from lower-income families and communities.Based on the actual proposals and likely consequences above, the fictional based stories begin as Martha Sheakley, the principal of Southeast Middle School, faces the challenges of new controversial book-banning laws that require the removal of numerous classics from the library. As she meets with librarian Paige Parker, they express their frustration over the vague standards forcing them to censor popular titles, including works by Toni Morrison and Anne Frank. Martha is frustrated with the political landscape affecting education and the consequences of enforcing these new laws. Martha then attends a distressing meeting about school funding. Due to the government's shift to vouchers for private schools, public schools face severe funding cuts. She learns they must eliminate wrap-around services and support staff, including mental health counselors, after-care programs, and special education resources. These cuts threaten the well-being of students and the overall educational environment. The meeting exposes the deepening crisis in public education as more responsibilities are pushed onto families with lower income and fewer resources. After a day filled with painful decisions and meetings, Martha encounters law enforcement taking away censored books from the library, further highlighting the absurdity and tragedy of censorship in education. As the day ends, Martha reflects on the privilege of parents benefitting from the new policies while her own students and staff suffer the consequences. In parallel, Marcus and other parents share their concerns about Blue Ribbon Academy, a new school that seemed promising but delivered a disappointing reality. They discover misleading curriculum materials that trivialize serious historical issues and provide an inadequate education. As they navigate their experiences trying to advocate for better education options for their children, they are met with resistance from the Blue Ribbon administration, which has no accountability to the public. Despite their efforts, the parents ultimately face the grim reality that shifts in educational policy have sidelined their children, particularly those with special needs like Marcus's son, Jamal, who is deemed "not a good fit" for Blue Ribbon due to his ADHD. This reflects a larger trend of public schools becoming underfunded and unable to meet the needs of diverse learners as more families are funneled into less supportive educational environments. n 1992, on the second floor of a barn in the hamlet of Great Valley, NY, Vibrant Health was born. Founder Mark Timon, a nutrition scientist, had set aside a few thousand dollars to manufacture the first 500 jars of Green Vibrance, the worlds first superfood formula.. The original formula had 38 ingredients, which he carefully selected to aid detoxification, provide antioxidant protection, and rehabilitate the digestive tract. When former retailers of natural products, Ted and Paige Parker, met Mark at the National Products Expo in 2002, they were already familiar with this groundbreaking superfood formula. Ted had been taking Green Vibrance for a health issue that hadn't been helped by anything else, and saw incredible results. Paige began selling Vibrant Health supplements, including Green Vibrance, in her natural products store Mohegan Naturals, becoming one of Vibrant Health's top retailers. Subsequently, Ted was hired as Vibrant Health's Director of Sales on October 1, 2002. With their combined business experience and passion for the brand, Ted and Paige purchased Vibrant Health in 2007 as a testament to their shared passion for helping people achieve health and wellness. From there, the company grew exponentially, adding products, retailers, and a robust e-commerce platform — and ensuring Vibrant Health's premium superfood formulas and dietary supplements can transform as many lives as possible.https://www.georgebatista.comGreen Vibrance: vibrance.georgebatista.comWellness Resource: myvitaminresource.comhttps://www.instagram.com/georgebatis... rumble.georgebatista.com Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/23768...Email: Wellnesstalk@protonmail.com

We are honored to have one of the biggest names in the stock market investing world on the show with us this week to share his thoughts on today's economic issues—Jim Rogers! Jim Rogers is well-known for his historic, around-the-world travels. In 1990, he embarked on a motorcycle journey across six continents over twenty-two months. He did it again in 1999 along with Paige Parker on the iconic Millennium Mercedes, traveling around the world in three years and investing in different markets along the way. Jim is also a bestselling author, a world-renowned financial commentator, and a highly seasoned American investor. Through his lifetime of experience as an investor and world traveler, Jim is now one of the most respected investors and financial commentators in the US. In this episode, we derive Jim's insights on today's debt market, the US economy post-COVID, and what could happen in the next few years. While everyone is still reeling from the economic mess the pandemic has created, Jim provides us with some of his thoughts that can help us navigate debt, inflation, and smart investing in the near future. KEY TAKEAWAYS 1. If debt and inflation get higher and higher, things are going to get much worse. 2. Major inflation is a problem all over the world for the first time in history in the post-COVID world. 3. Smart investors shouldn't listen to other people; they invest in what they know. 4. Investing is not easy, and there are a lot of things you need to learn to become a successful investor. “At Happenstance, we're raising a new generation of whiskey lovers who celebrate life's moments that happen by chance.” - Paige ParkerPaige is the Founder & CEO of Happenstance Distilling Co. – A Nashville based whiskey company that launched its flagship Founder's Edition Straight Bourbon Whiskey in 2021. Happenstance was born out of a need for a more approachable bourbon, both in palate and design. Paige wanted to create a brand that paid homage to the tradition of American bourbons that had come before, but with a contemporary twist… so, Happenstance was born. A 90-proof, full bodied blend of vanilla, hazelnut, toffee, caramel tones and a rye finish define the Happenstance palate.Happenstance is currently the only 100% female owned and operated whiskey brand to call Music City home. Happenstance has been featured in Fox News, Yahoo! Finance, the Nashville Business Journal, Nashville Lifestyles and has been spotted around town popping up whiskey bars for Rachel Zoe's Curateur brand, White's Mercantile and Reese Witherspoon's Draper James 12 South storefront. Paige got her start in the alcohol industry with Anheuser-Busch where she learned the fundamentals of the alcohol business while working with corporate partners and in-house brands on plans for localized distribution, marketing, sales and events. Paige is also a recent MBA graduate from Vanderbilt's Owen School of Business. In this week's episode, Sydney and Walker sat down with Paige to talk about how the young entrepreneur innovated her own whiskey brand completely from scratch. We discuss her past career working in marketing for Anheuser-Busch, which led to her becoming aware of an opportunity in the spirits space. Other topics we discuss:- How to make your brand/product stand out in a saturated industry- Innovating a new brand/product in a mostly male-dominated industry- The story of Happenstance- Pivoting from a career in corporate to taking the leap into entrepreneurship- Branding a beverage product- Happenstance's unique marketing approach- The role that Nashville plays in influencing HappenstanceLearn more about this new female-founded whiskey brand by visiting their website https://happenstancewhiskey.com/ and follow them on Instagram at https://instagram.com/happenstancewhiskey

On today's episode, we have Jim Rogers, chairman of Beeland Interests Inc. and co-founder of The Quantum Fund. Mr. Rogers is known by many in the finance world as one of the greatest investors of all time. From 1973 to 1980, the Quantum Fund portfolio gained 4,200% while the S&P advanced only about 47%. He is also accredited as the creator of the Rogers International Commodities Index (RCI) and co-founder of Soros Fund Management. In addition, Rogers is a holder of three Guinness World Records and is much more than just an investor and businessman. Rogers speaks about "The Millennium Adventure," where he takes part in a journey spanning over 3-years in a unique Millennium Mercedes-Benz car, giving Jim Rogers and his wife, Paige Parker, a new way to discover the world. Rogers passes through 116 countries, more than 245,000 kilometers of land on six continents, finally ending in Iceland at the beginning of 1999. Another topic covered this episode was Rogers' Quantum Group of Funds. Out of London, New York, Curacao, and the Cayman Islands, the Quantum Group of Funds helped investors build long-term wealth and create more diversification within their investment portfolios. Helping others meet their financial goals, the company works as a private family fund for the Soros family and retail investors. Finally, Rogers talks about the Soros Fund Management, a former hedge fund, which has been impactful in the world of business for many years. The fund initially began as an investment firm and hedge fund, but now works as a private family office. Even today, Soros Fund Management is involved in the financial and business world by owning and investing in holdings and cryptocurrencies. Outside of business Jim Rogers created "The Rogers Foundation," a foundation in Nevada dedicated to providing art and education to young children. The foundation has donated more than $90 million to programs to support its goals. Enjoy!
