Hosť podcastu: KATARÍNA MOTYKOVÁ, škandinavistka a prekladateľka Hovoríme o beletrizovanom životopisy Astrid Lindgrenová – už začiatok silný, ako si Astrid priviezla synčeka z Kodane do Štokholmu. A úryvok načítala Lucia Vráblicová.
First-time listeners, as well as those who once treasured this story, will be thrilled by Sutton Foster's character portrayals. AudioFile's Michele Cobb and host Jo Reed discuss how Foster's portrayal of Pippi is central to the audiobook's success. Her narration crackles with dynamic vibrancy when it comes to Pippi's dialogue. She depicts the wonder, confusion, and doubt of Pippi's friends and the consternation of adults whose authority Pippi challenges. But, as it should be, nothing and no one compares to the power and brash audacity of Pippi. Ever feel like your to-do list is never-ending, your inbox is overflowing, and no matter how hard you try to get ahead, you’re always playing catch-up? You’re not alone. As leaders and educators, we’re constantly juggling lesson planning, meetings, emails, student needs, and—oh yeah—our own lives. The weight of it all can feel overwhelming, and finding a sense of balance can seem impossible. In this episode of the Well-Led Schools Podcast, I sit down with Michelle Gauthier, a life coach who specialises in helping high-achievers transform overwhelm into calm. Michelle knows firsthand what it’s like to live life on overdrive, and she’s made it her mission to help others create a more intentional and less stressful way of living. Together, we unpack the root causes of overwhelm, how to shift our mindset, and—most importantly—practical strategies that will help you regain control of your time, energy and wellbeing. If you’re looking for realistic, actionable ways to manage stress and create a sense of calm (even in the busiest seasons), this episode is for you. In this episode, we cover: The differences between stress and overwhelm and what it actually means to be overwhelmed Above and below the surface causes of overwhelm The importance of mindset in managing feelings of overwhelm Practical strategies to improve time management and productivity without overwhelm How to plan for interruptions and maintain flexibility in your schedule About Michelle: Michelle Gauthier is a life coach dedicated to helping high achievers move from overwhelm to calm. After spending over 20 years in corporate America leading businesses through simplification and efficiency strategies, she took a leap into life coaching and never looked back. Since 2017, she’s helped hundreds of women reduce stress, create clarity, and build more intentional lives. She’s also the host of Overwhelmed Working Woman, where she shares practical tools to help busy professionals find balance—without guilt. When she’s not coaching, Michelle is a single mom to two teenagers and a dog mom to Pippi. She’s an adventurer at heart. She believes in the power of less is more and is on a mission to help people create lives that feel calmer, more organised and full of joy. Was unterscheidet Pippi Langstrumpf und Donald Duck .... Warum? Hosted on Acast. What if your “knowing” or “deciding” buttons are frayed from trauma or operating in survival mode? In our last few episodes we've talked about how to reduce the risk of getting it wrong with criteria and prototyping, so today we talk about how to use that information, how to know you know, and what it means to give yourself permission to try a new thing. It's your nice life to go after, after all. Even when you have a sense of what you want, it's reasonable that gathering other kinds of information can be wise, before committing to a specific direction. Pilots and prototypes are kinds of experiments that help you try on or try out a way of living before you fully commit, and are excellent ways to learn things in your body that you can't learn from imagination or research. We love them! In this episode of Have a Nice Live, Pippi and Hadassah tell stories of our own and some clients' prototyping that gave us such important information. You'll learn how to think about these experiments, and how to make sure you learn from them.Have a Nice Life is hosted by Hadassah Damien, a money coach and business strategist, and Pippi Kessler, a career coach and organizational psychologist. Bible Reading: Psalm 130Where's Pippi? wondered Monica when she got home from school. She always meets me at the door. Then she saw it--a trail of tissue paper from the bathroom down the hall. "Oh, you naughty puppy! Come here, Pippi!" A brown ball of fur came slinking out from under Monica's bed, tail tucked between its legs. Monica laughed. "You know you're guilty, don't you?" she said, picking up the puppy and rubbing her fur. "But I love you anyway, and I forgive you. Let's get this mess cleaned up."That night, Monica had trouble sleeping. She couldn't forget something bad she had done that afternoon. She tossed and turned as it went over and over in her mind. Why did I do that? she kept asking herself. Jesus must be so mad at me. I wish I could hide! She pulled the blanket over her head, but it didn't help. Suddenly, Monica shivered. "Mom!" she called. "Mom!"The light came on, and Monica blinked as she lowered the blanket and saw Mom's concerned look. "Oh, Mom," said Monica, wide-eyed. "It seemed like Jesus was right here!""Why does that scare you?" asked Mom. "You know Jesus loves you and is always with you."Monica's voice shook. "Well, I…I stole some money from Saralyn. It was on her desk, and--""And that's why you're afraid." Mom put her arms around Monica. "Remember how Pippi tried to hide after dragging the tissue paper down the hall from the bathroom?"Monica nodded. "Yes, but it didn't work. I knew where she was hiding and what she'd done. She knew too. I could tell she was ashamed, and I forgave her.""Well, we often try to do the same thing with God," said Mom. "When we sin, the sense of God's presence can be frightening and make us feel ashamed. But we don't ever have to hide from God in shame, because Jesus took the guilt and shame of our sins on Himself when He died on the cross. When we confess our sin to Him, He will forgive us, just like you forgave Pippi.""I'll ask Him to forgive me now," said Monica. "And I'll return the money tomorrow." Together, Mom and Monica bowed their heads and prayed. Then Monica snuggled down under the covers, and soon she was fast asleep.–Barbara J. WestbergHow About You?Are you ever afraid of God and want to hide from Him? That usually means you know you've done something wrong and feel ashamed of it. But you can't hide anything from God--He already knows all about it, and He wants to forgive you! Jesus paid for all your sins so you wouldn't have to hide. Tell Him what you did and ask His forgiveness. He loves you and wants to give you peace.Today's Key Verse:If we confess our sins, God will forgive us.
