Because we've come to the end of Navaratri and because many are now finishing their mantra-repetition sādhana (puraścarana), I thought it would be nice to discuss the mantra for offering japa to the Divine Mother:oṁ guhyātiguhyagoptrī tvaṁ gṛhāṇāsmatkṛtaṁ japamsiddhirbhavatu me devi tvatprasādān maheśvari"O You who are the Protectress of the Secret of all Secrets (i.e the sacred, intimate mantra), accept this repetition of mantra done by us! Make me perfect (i.e help me accomplish the goal of this mantra repetition), which happens only by thy grace, You who are the Great Ruler of the Cosmos (mahā-īsvarī)"PS: if you are offering to a male deity then change "goptrī" to "gopta", "Devi" to "deva" and "maheśvarī" to "maheśvara" in the above mantra!" So it would be:oṁ guhyātiguhyagopta tvaṁ gṛhāṇāsmatkṛtaṁ japamsiddhirbhavatu me deva tvatprasādān maheśvaraThe prayer:oṁ mahāmāye jaganmātaḥ kālike ghoradakṣiṇegṛhāṇa vandanaṁ devi namaste parameśvarioṁ gṛhāṇa vandanaṁ mātaḥ sadā vijayavardhinipādapadmaṁ sadā vande sthānaṁ dehi padāmbuje"O Cosmic Confoundress (in the vocative case here), Mother of the World, Terrifying , Southward-Facing Kali! Accept my prayer! Salutations to you, Supreme Ruler of the Cosmos! (parama-īsvarī) Accept my prayer, O Mother who art ever Victorious (or who always increases victory!), I always praise thy lotus feet! Keep me forevermore at thy lotus feet!"This was the preamble to our Hatha Yoga class earlier today which you can watch here and practice along! Special Guest: Linda Tucker Haider's free workbook at https://soulful-awakening.com/free In this riveting episode of The Human Potential Podcast, I sit down with Linda Tucker, a trailblazing leader and the Protectress of Africa's sacred white lions. Her journey from corporate success to becoming a guardian of these rare, symbolic animals began with a life-altering night in the African wilderness. Surrounded by a pride of lions and saved by a mysterious medicine woman known as the "Lion Queen of Timbavati," Linda's perspective on life—and humanity's role in nature—was forever transformed. Breaking Illusions: Humanity as the True Threat Linda recounts how that harrowing experience shattered her former worldview, revealing an uncomfortable truth: humans, not lions, are the real predators. This awakening drove her back to South Africa, where she discovered the white lions—symbols of spiritual evolution and guardians of Earth's heart energy—facing extinction at the hands of trophy hunting and human greed. LionHeartedness: A Call to Fearless Leadership At the core of Linda's mission is the philosophy of "LionHeartedness," defined as: "Fearlessness inspired by love and respect for the natural world, empowering us to transform our human world. It makes us unstoppable." This powerful mindset has shaped her work with the Global White Lion Protection Trust, dedicated to preserving these majestic creatures and their sacred habitat. Exposing the Dark Side of Consumerism and Trophy Hunting Our conversation doesn't shy away from controversy. Linda sheds light on the exploitative practices of trophy hunting—an industry profiting from the destruction of lions and local communities alike. We explore the damaging effects of consumerism and how reconnecting with nature's cycles can heal not only the Earth but also ourselves. The White Lions: Guardians of Earth's Heart Energy As spiritual symbols, white lions hold the key to restoring balance to the planet. Linda urges humanity to move beyond exploitation, embrace humility, and lead from the heart. Her message is urgent: only by aligning with nature's wisdom can we navigate the global crises we face today. This episode is a call to action, challenging you to reconsider humanity's place in the natural world and inspiring you to embody "LionHeartedness" in your own life. In this 50 minute healing session recording, we worked with the Egyptian Neters and in particular with the Goddess Sekhmet direct from the Great Pyramids in Egypt. The recording occurred during the first evening of an Egypt Spiritual Tour while in Giza at a hotel right at the base of the Great Pyramids. This a healing session meant to connect us to various parts of ourselves according to the Egyptian conception of the subtle bodies. We used various advanced Arcturian Healing Method frequencies. The five bodies we connected to include the Aufu (physical body), the Ka (vital or etheric body), the Ba (the astral body), the Sheut (the Shadow), and the Sahu (the Divine Self). Sekhmet's attributes include strong, mighty, and fierce. She is also associated with the kundalini life force and its full development. Some of her divine names describing her include "Sekhmet, Great One of Magic, Protectress of the Gods, Eye of Horus, and Ruler of Serpents and of Dragons." --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/gene-ang/support

Blessed Imelda Lambertini named the Protectress of First Holy Communicants by Pope St. Pius X, . She was born of a very noble Bolognese family. Her father was Count Egano Lambertini. From the time she was a small child, she was known fo her piety and spirituality. It was obvious that she would devote her life to God. It was not known that it would be such a short life. Imelda was a joy to her parents. She was a pretty little girl, but things of the world had no value for her. She spent much time by herself in prayer, in various corners of the house where she would not be distracted. She is one of the best loved and most venerated Martyrs of the West. She was born to a noble family in Catania or Palermo in Sicily. At an early age she consecrated herself to the Lord and, though very beautiful, sought only to adorn herself with the virtues. During the persecution under Decius (251), she was arrested as a Christian; at this time she was about fifteen years old. Quintinian, the Governor of Sicily, was taken by her beauty and offered to marry her, thinking in that way not only to possess her body but her riches as well. When she spurned his advances, and continued to mock the idols, he grew angry and decided to have her tortured. She was gruesomely tormented and cast bleeding into a dungeon to die; but in the night her Guardian Angel brought the Apostle Peter to her, and he healed her wounds. The following day, the Governor ordered that she be subjected to further torments, but at his words the city was shaken by an earthquake and part of the palace collapsed. The terrified people stormed the palace and demanded that Agatha be released, lest they be subject to the wrath of her God. The Saint was returned to her prison cell, where in response to her prayers she was allowed to give up her soul to God. At Agatha's burial, attended by many, her Guardian Angel appeared and placed a marble slab on her tomb, inscribed with the words 'A righteous mind, self- determining, honor from God, the deliverance of her fatherland.' Quintinian died soon thereafter, thrown from his chariot. On the first anniversary of Agatha's death, Mt Etna erupted and Catania was about to be engulfed in lava. Christians and pagans together, remembering the inscription on her tomb, took the slab from the tomb and bore it like a shield to the river of lava, which was immediately stopped. The same miracle has happened many times in the following centuries, and Saint Agatha is venerated as the Protectress of Catania and Sicily, loved and honored by Christians of the East and the West.

O Patroness of the Americas and Protectress of the Unborn, look upon our troubled state, where lust and greed abound, where thousands are killed in the womb every day, where the poor and the rich are separated by steel walls and thirsting souls die in the desert – help us, dear Mother, to discover life, to find your guidance in this land of opportunity and broken dreams, in these hearts that have grown so cold that more are sacrificed on unholy altars than when you first came to turn our hearts to the Lord! Pray for us, Our Lady, or we shall surely die in a soulless pride.

Zoe Helene is an artist and cultural activist best known for coining and popularizing the term Psychedelic Feminism and founding the environmental feminism group Cosmic Sister (@CosmicSister). She believes a true balance of power across the gender spectrum—globally—is the only way humans (and non-humans) will survive, and she sees Psychedelic Feminism as a realistic, practical yet hopeful approach to a much-needed shift of global consciousness. Zoe believes that ultimately, psychedelics are about kindness—to ourselves and to others, including non-human life forms, the world's soil and air and waterways. It's about doing our best to become the highest version of ourselves, first as individuals, then as larger socioeconomic communities, then as a species that's over-running the planet. The journey starts with ourselves, then moves ever outwards. It's our responsibility, as apex predators, to be in a healthy relationship with each other and with the Earth. Zoe's work has been featured in Forbes, BBC Travel, Outside Magazine, DoubleBlind Magazine, Bust Magazine, Playboy, VICE, Broadly, Tonic, LA Yoga, New York Magazine, Boston Magazine, ABC Australia, Radio New Zealand, and many other top-tier media venues. In this episode we discuss: - the gifts of the goddess archetype Artemis. - the need for wilderness and wildlife to be more core in our politics and news. - why she advocates for our right to journey with sacred plants and funghi as a way to jump-start rapid cultural evolution. - she explains what she means when she emphasizes our responsibility as Earth's apex predator!

Homily for Wednesday of the Third Week of Easter ...please support the Didde Catholic Campus Center by visiting www.diddecenter.org/donate Pope Francis Prayer to be added to the end of the Rosary for May 2020: First Prayer O Mary, You shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who, at the foot of the cross, were united with Jesus’ suffering, and persevered in your faith. “Protectress of the Roman people”, you know our needs, and we know that you will provide, so that, as at Cana in Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this time of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us. For he took upon himself our suffering, and burdened himself with our sorrows to bring us, through the cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God; Do not despise our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from every danger, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin. Second Prayer “We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God”. In the present tragic situation, when the whole world is prey to suffering and anxiety, we fly to you, Mother of God and our Mother, and seek refuge under your protection. Virgin Mary, turn your merciful eyes towards us amid this coronavirus pandemic. Comfort those who are distraught and mourn their loved ones who have died, and at times are buried in a way that grieves them deeply. Be close to those who are concerned for their loved ones who are sick and who, in order to prevent the spread of the disease, cannot be close to them. Fill with hope those who are troubled by the uncertainty of the future and the consequences for the economy and employment. Mother of God and our Mother, pray for us to God, the Father of mercies, that this great suffering may end and that hope and peace may dawn anew. Plead with your divine Son, as you did at Cana, so that the families of the sick and the victims be comforted, and their hearts be opened to confidence and trust. Protect those doctors, nurses, health workers and volunteers who are on the frontline of this emergency, and are risking their lives to save others. Support their heroic effort and grant them strength, generosity and continued health. Be close to those who assist the sick night and day, and to priests who, in their pastoral concern and fidelity to the Gospel, are trying to help and support everyone. Blessed Virgin, illumine the minds of men and women engaged in scientific research, that they may find effective solutions to overcome this virus. Support national leaders, that with wisdom, solicitude and generosity they may come to the aid of those lacking the basic necessities of life and may devise social and economic solutions inspired by farsightedness and solidarity. Mary Most Holy, stir our consciences, so that the enormous funds invested in developing and stockpiling arms will instead be spent on promoting effective research on how to prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future. Beloved Mother, help us realize that we are all members of one great family and to recognize the bond that unites us, so that, in a spirit of fraternity and solidarity, we can help to alleviate countless situations of poverty and need. Make us strong in faith, persevering in service, constant in prayer. Mary, Consolation of the afflicted, embrace all your children in distress and pray that God will stretch out his all-powerful hand and free us from this terrible pandemic, so that life can serenely resume its normal course. To you, who shine on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope, do we entrust ourselves, O Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary. Amen. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/frmatt-nagle/message

We're talking about the cartoons that made us! This was inspired by kawaiidaigakusei's newspost from last week about Daria. Daria was a really cool cartoon from the late 90s. It was influential to her, to me as well, and I thought it would be a great idea for a Quackcast to talk about the other cartoons that were influential to us at certain points in our lives. There were a lot that were part of forming my ideas… Early on it was action stuff like Robotech, Starblazers, Kimba, AstroBoy, Inspector Gadget, Scooby Doo, Thundercats, battle of the planets, transformers, Galaxy Rangers, Centurions etc. Later on it was Bevis and Butthead, Daria, Mission Hill, Rugrats, Babar, Dexters Lab, Roko's Modern Life, Aeon Flux, The Maxx… It's interesting how these things can influence you. I'd love to hear about your cartoon influences! Also, one of our DD members, Boundbun, was keen to set up an official DD Discord server because that's the way of the future! People prefer to communicate in different ways from forums and Discord is the current big thing. We should have a link going up on the site soon, but for now you cn find it in the links bellow. It's really pretty similar to the old, old style Mirc chatrooms we used to have back in the day actually. We have quite a good talk about it on our Patreon only video This week Gunwallace has given us the theme to Sex Protectress: Creepy, gasping, magical, sexy synth.

Like many ambitious creatives and side hustlers, Joanna finds herself in the classic clash of wanting to take the time to do everything really well... and wanting everything done YESTERDAY. In this episode, Kristine and Joanna talk a lot about strategy. Strategies for maximizing Joanna's results both during and after her film festivals. Strategies for simplifying her website. And strategies for best utilizing the upcoming quarter of her year. ------------------------ More info about Kristine, plus additional resources and support (to help you start and grow a side hustle), are available at: CashflowForCreatives.com Host: Kristine Oller Participant: Joanna Ke / film: Protectress / script biz: Script Masters Sponsor: AbundanceBound.com Mentioned: Tea With Ke / How to Plan a Leap Year Music: Pictures of the Floating World
As a smart, talented creative you are totally capable of doing lots of things easily. But easy is different than doable. The question is do you have the energy to do it? Can you spare the bandwidth to do it? Can you create the space in which to do it? Those are the questions I encourage you to start asking – especially around all of the easy stuff. In this episode, Kristine addresses some of Joanna's concerns about over-stuffing her schedule, missing opportunities, interviewing for new day jobs, and not giving her all at work. ------------------------ More info about Kristine, plus additional resources and support (to help you start and grow a side hustle), are available at: CashflowForCreatives.com Host: Kristine Oller Participant: Joanna Ke / film: Protectress / script biz: Script Masters Sponsor: AbundanceBound.com Music: Pictures of the Floating World
Joanna is in the beginning stages of creating online courses and attracting a tribe of folks who are interested in what she will be offering. In this episode, Kristine and Joanna examine some of the elements that are needed to build and market a successful online biz – and which elements might be best for Joanna to focus on given her current limitations of time and energy. Also, Kristine address the concept of passive income and why she thinks it's a bit of a myth. ------------------------ More info about Kristine, plus additional resources and support (to help you start and grow a side hustle), are available at: CashflowForCreatives.com Host: Kristine Oller Participant: Joanna Ke / film: Protectress / script biz: Script Masters Sponsor: AbundanceBound.com Mentioned: Jeanine Blackwell online biz course / Tea with Ke Music: Pictures of the Floating World
Joanna is a very talented gal who is brimming with ambition and ideas – ideas for herself as a writer, producer, and actress and ideas for courses that she wants to create and offer online. She has so many things she wants to move forward on, but, currently, she has a very demanding full-time job and very little spare time. In this episode, Kristine reminds Joanna – and you – that side hustles are not something that can be squeezed into the cracks of your calendar. So, if your circumstances are not conducive to you achieving what you want, shifting those circumstances becomes a top priority. ------------------------ More info about Kristine, plus additional resources and support (to help you start and grow a side hustle), are available at: CashflowForCreatives.com Host: Kristine Oller Participant: Joanna Ke / film: Protectress / script biz: Script Masters Sponsor: AbundanceBound.com Mentioned: Geekfest Film Festival / Producers Guild of America Diversity Program Music: Pictures of the Floating World
Sekhmet is one of the oldest known Egyptian deities. Her name is derived from the Egyptian word "Sekhem" which means "power" or "might". Other titles include: “The Devouring One,” “Warrior Goddess,” “Protectress of the Divine Order,” “Lady of Jubilation” and “The Beautiful Light,” Sekhmet, the divine manifestation of the lioness-woman, encompassed all of these aspects. She was called upon by royalty, warriors, healers and priests, for Her strength and power. She was truly known also as, “The Incomparable One.” She is depicted as a lion-headed woman, often with a sun disc on her head. She was also closely associated with Hathor (the goddess of music, dance, sexual love, pregnancy and birth) and She was seen as the warrior aspect of Hathor. She was also, most importantly, the patron of physicians, and healers and was worshipped as a goddess of healing. The Goddess Sekhmet has strong connections for Starseeds with Sirian connections and especially Blue-Ray Starseeds. For those on the path who are awakening Sekhmet comes as a healing force of love. For those resisting the path Sekhmet often appears in her fierce warrior aspect. In this transmission, we meet the Goddess Sekhmet in a temple on the earth-plane. Here you will release any trauma you are holding around being a healer or working as a master of light. Then you will be transported by Sekhmet to a Sirian Temple of Light, guarded by Sirian Archangels and Masters of Light. Here, Sekhmet and many light beings will work on your energy fields awakening memories and channels of power to a lifetime where you worked as a healer or master of light.
In this episode, we discuss the myths, iconography, and cultic worship of Athena, the goddess of wisdom, craftsmanship, and strategic warfare who served as a kind of symbol for the city of Athens and civilization in general Show Notes: http://www.thehistoryofancientgreece.com/2017/12/064-protectress-of-athens.html
Goddess of the Month is Artemis, the Protectress of Women, Children, Nature and the Vulnerable. Over the summer, I found an ancient Latin prayer to Artemis which I wrote next to the glyph for Sagittarius on a sticky note and attached to my desk calendar (which also serves as my blog's editorial calendar.) Apparently, my plan was to work with Artemis the month of December, but in the wake of all the requests for Lilith information in November, I had fallen behind in my research and did not prepare anything on Artemis. Interestingly, I had been reciting the prayer (which goes, "epelthon, epelthon Artemis") rather subconsciously over the past few months everytime I sat down at my desk to write because the sticky note was at eye level. Despite the fact I was sidetracked on the Artemis plan, I personally started to feel strong attraction to her stories. Everytime I'd see her name, I would pay attention, whether it was something I read in a book, or came across on the internet or just happened to see a synchronous message about her. For instance, a video of a little girl feeding a bear came up on my facebook feed the other day. It was soemthing I would normally scroll past, but this felt so intuitively Artemis to me that I couldn't help but stop and linger and watch. And it was just the other day I decided to look up Artemis in my astro chart. I was suprised to discover that I am currently experiencing an Artemis return! (0* Libra!). You see, when translated, the prayer means "come to us, come to us, Artemis." Join me all month long on the blog for a journey with Artemis!
