Dead Island 2 came out and it's good? No really, Chamberlain and Chance agree that Dead Island 2 is a silly, gory, albeit shallow experience that is far better than either expected from a game that spent more time in development than most Fornite players have spend being alive. Chamberlain is also very late to the party with Roguebook, the sequel to Slay the Spire that never actually happened. Alex still loves Octopath Traveler 2 and refuses to remove the cat girl from his party. And Chance finally admits that he might be okay at Overwatch. That is what daily playing since the first game's release will get you.
Featuring: Ammosart, Ashgar, Belghast, Kodra, Tamrielo, and Thalen We start with a topic we did not get to last week and talk about the modern Digimon Card game. From there we talk about Fallout 76 and Thalen beginning the game, along with the various improvements that have happened over the years. We talk very briefly and very spoiler free about how good She-Hulk was. Kodra talks a bit about Taiji and its more approachable and less pretentious version of The Witness. Bel talks a bit about the Torchlight Infinite Open Beta and how you can actually use keybinds now. Ash talks about the card game roguelike Roguebook, and while Richard Garfield was involved it is nothing like Magic. Tam talks about how good the Leagues of Votann are and then dives into a topic about finding his white whale and how dumb limited availability items are. Topics Discussed Digimon Card Game Fallout 76 She-Hulk was Phenomenal Taiji Torchlight Infinite is Playable Roguebook Squats are Back Limited-Availability is Dumb
The gang talks about Netflix's terrible second quarter for a bit before turning to the big topic: four deckbuilder reviews for Slay the Spire, Roguebook, Monster Train and Across the Obelisk. Also, Chris leaves things muted for about a minute, and Shaun has a surprise favorite emerge.

Trevor plays more Roguebook than he sleeps, or eats… or basically anything. Hosts: Trevor, Jay, and Josh

Dear listeners, welcome to our newest episode! We sat down with our special guest and friend, Ivan, to discuss LGBTQ representation in gaming and gaming culture. We asked him some questions to get a deeper understanding and perspective this multi-faceted issue. Is there enough representation in gaming? Is there a specific way gaming journalists should talk about LGBTQ in gaming? What can you do when you haven't been as inclusive in the past and are feeling guilty for your mistakes? All of these questions and more are discussed in this delightful episode. And if that's not enough, we also discussed Chicory, Roguebook, Phantom Abyss, and Biomutant. We also revealed the results of the social media polls, and we rounded up the show with our monthly Patreon shout-outs. Thank you for checking out the show, and enjoy!

After a hefty sports/politics minute (look, it was a busy weekend!), the Waypoint Radio crew is here to talk about one of their favorite things, roguelike deckbuilders. Rob is playing Roguebook, a new game designed by Richard Garfield (of Netrunner/Magic: the Gathering fame), which presents a new take on the deckbuilding genre of video games: what if all the cards? After the break, Austin, Patrick, and Cado report back on their time fighting "Chaos?" in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Austin has also been checking out Wildermyth, an RPG with proc-gen narrative told through the shifting personality traits of your characters. On this week's episode, Marc starts things off by talking about what they can remember from E3, which equates to basically Microsoft and Nintendo and no one else. After exhausting themselves of all things E3, they get on to what they've been playing with a game that proves dodgeball is best played with decapitated heads and a game about turning if off and on again, in addition to much more. Anyway, something-something, grinding on dinosaurs while cooking up tasty s'mores, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly jumpy) show. Anyway, that's it and that's all folks. If you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something-something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, the plentiful podcasts, the various videos, the absurd art, and all of the other nonsense we make over here at Pixelated Sausage. Thanks for being a fan.
