In the late 1980s, a brutal murder shook a quiet community. Justin Turner, a young man with his whole life ahead of him, was found dead under circumstances that still raise questions today. The mystery surrounding this tragic event spans over 30 years with many twists and turns along the way. Plus, the Old Stone Church has a long history and is probably best known for its haunted graveyard. In this Bible Story, Elijah meets with God on Mount Sinai, and flees from Jezebel, The Witch Queen, fearing for his life. His troubled and weary mind is met with the gentle touch of God's presence and direction. The Lord gives guidance to Elijah, and tells him that there was a civil war approaching that would topple the kingdom of Ahab and Jezebel. This story is inspired by 1 Kings 19. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.Today's Bible verse is 1 Kings 19:9 from the King James Version.Episode 124: Ahab, sore from being made a fool by God's display at Mount Carmel, went home to complain to his wife Jezebel. In other news, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is out now in Japan, but if you bought the physical edition you might have a confusing time installing the game. That's because the 'play' and 'install' discs are labeled wrong. Whoops. And finally, Skull & Bones is apparently doing well according to Ubisoft, who are reporting "record player engagement." I don't know what you are doing this New Year's Eve, but back in 1972, in places like the city of New Orleans, there were likely people getting ready to bang a gong with the Witch Queen at midnight. I'm not really sure how they celebrate in other parts of the world; in Hawaii perhaps they express their joy with a coconut. Now, I have never been to Spain, and I am sure their celebrations can't be described in terms of black and white, but I am willing to bet they are drowning in a sea of love. For myself, you can call it a case of puppy love, but I hope just after midnight to kiss an angel in the morning. This week we declare schools out on the bottom 25 of the top 80 songs of 1972.
