In this hilarious yet insightful episode of "Not Well," hosts Bobby and Jim dive into a variety of thought-provoking and entertaining topics, exploring everything from Bobby's trip to Charleston, the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ couples trying to adopt, to the ongoing issues surrounding gun control and mental health in the United States.Bobby kicks off the episode by recounting his recent trip to Charleston, a city that he likens to a southern frat house with a dark history. He discusses his run-in with a flight attendant and the discomfort he felt while exploring the city's past. Bobby also shares a wild story about a fight that broke out at a sushi restaurant bar, which led to him nearly vomiting up his sushi.Switching gears, Jim recounts his recent change of luck, having met two attractive guys and attending a Betty Who concert on a whim. The duo then delves into the complicated subject of adoption, discussing the high costs and barriers faced by queer couples like Jim's nail tech Carmen and her partner. They touch on the hypocrisy of outlawing abortions while making adoption a challenging and expensive process, wondering what the solution could be.The conversation takes a turn as Bobby and Jim discuss the ongoing violence in Mexico and the tension between Canada, the United States, and Mexico. They reminisce about their childhoods, confessing to snooping on their parents and pondering whether their parents snooped on them too.The hosts find themselves discussing the awkward experiences of being nude in locker rooms with older men who have grooming issues. They then tackle the topic of Pride Night in the NHL, criticizing the organization for failing to address players opting out even though it's a charity event.Addressing a serious topic, Bobby and Jim discuss the recent mass shooting in a Nashville, Tennessee school. They express concern about the fact that the shooter was transgender and worry about the potential increase in attacks against trans people as a result. The duo laments the lack of progress on gun control and the shortcomings of the American system, touching on issues like poverty-stricken individuals joining the military and returning with untreated mental health problems due to the inadequate healthcare system.Jim opens up about his childhood trauma and the lack of boundaries he experienced growing up, wondering how it has affected his mental health. The episode concludes with a segment called "Sundries," where Jim vents about gym bros constantly posting their workouts on social media, and Bobby shares his annoyance with people who make a big move, only to flood their Facebook feeds with inspirational quotes about taking chances. This engaging and candid episode of "Not Well" covers a wide range of topics, from personal experiences to societal issues. Bobby and Jim tackle these subjects with humor and empathy, making for an enjoyable and thought-provoking listen.Support the showAs always you can write us at nowellpodcast@gmail.com or call us at (614) 721-5336 and tell us your Not Wells of the week InstagramTwitterBobby's Only FansHelp us continue to grow and create amazing content, like a live tour or just help fund some new headphones when needed. National says that the Posie Parker rally wasn't a good look for New Zealand. Thousands protested Parker's planned speaking tour over the weekend. Scuffles broke out at Saturday's Auckland rally in Albert Park, and Parker called it off after having tomato juice poured over her. Green MP Marama Davidson —who was in the crowd— was hit by a motorcycle and required medical attention. National Leader Chris Luxon told Mike Hosking that they believe in the right to protest, but also in the right to free speech. He says that from coverage he's seen, the vast majority of people were peaceful but throwing liquid on someone is intimidating behaviour. ACT says what happened at the Posie Parker rally in Auckland is seriously concerning. Thousands protested against the views of the anti-trans activist at Albert Park's Saturday rally, seeing her quit the country early. Scuffles broke out, Parker had tomato juice poured on her, and Green MP Marama Davidson was hit by a motorcycle. ACT Deputy Leader Brooke van Velden told Kate Hawkesby that it's what the party has feared: that the alternative to free speech and reasoned debate could become bullying, intimidation, and violence. She says in a civilised society like ours, you should be able to counter ideas you don't like with speech and debate, not violence and intimidation. NFL – Damar Hamlin asked who won Bills-Bengals when he woke up Damar Hamlin’s doctors say the Buffalo Bills safety has begun to communicate in writing with his family and others who have been at his bedside since going into cardiac arrest Monday — and his first question was “did we win?” Doctors at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center said in a conference call with reporters that Hamlin remains critically ill and in the hospital's intensive care unit. But they say it appears his neurological function is intact, meaning he can follow commands and move. The developments come as the Bills return to practice for the first time since Hamlin collapsed during the first quarter of Buffalo's game against the Bengals. NFL – NFL: Bills-Bengals won’t resume; playoff scenarios revealed The NFL won’t resume the Bills-Bengals game that was suspended Monday night after Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin collapsed and went into cardiac arrest on the field. The league announced its decision on Thursday. The NFL said its decision creates “potential competitive inequities in certain playoff scenarios.” The league said clubs on Friday, in a special league meeting, would consider a resolution recommended by the commissioner and approved Thursday by the Competition Committee. The Bills-Bengals game had major playoff implications. Buffalo entered Monday night needing a win to maintain the AFC's No. 1 seed. The Kansas City Chiefs currently hold that spot. The Bengals had a chance to earn that top seed with two more wins and a loss by the Chiefs. NFL – National Football League – Week 18 (Final Week of the regular season) Sunday Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears, 1:00 p.m. Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts, 1:00 p.m. Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers, 8:20 p.m. Rock 107 WIRX 7:15 NFL – Late-season runs raise stakes for Lions-Packers matchup The Green Bay Packers know they reach the postseason if they win Sunday night. The Detroit Lions' playoff prospects are a little more complicated. Detroit can reach the playoffs by beating the Packers only if Seattle loses to the LA Rams earlier in the day. A Seahawks victory would eliminate Detroit. The Lions insist they'll still have plenty of incentive to beat their NFC North rivals even if it has no impact on their own postseason fortunes. The Lions have won seven of their last nine games and are coming off a 41-10 blowout of Chicago. Detroit already has come a long way after going 3-13-1 last year in Coach Dan Campbell's debut season. The Lions are seeking their first playoff berth since 2016 and have a chance to end a run of four straight losing seasons. At least five players experienced a heart-related issue in the NHL over the past 25 years. All of them collapsed during games. All of them survived including Red Wings defenseman Jiri Fischer. The NHL has updated its policies and required more robust medical support at games. Experts say that’s key and adjustments should continue to make sure medical staffs and teams are always prepared. He has one year of eligibility remaining. Hartman completed a career-best 63.1% of his passes this past season for 3,701 yards with 38 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. NCAAFB – Harbaugh: ‘I expect’ to be back at Michigan next season Jim Harbaugh says he expects to coach Michigan's football team next season. He has posted a statement on the team's social media accounts following reports of his interest in returning to the NFL. A person familiar with the situation who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity has said Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper had a conversation with Harbaugh about the team's head coaching position. Harbaugh also has been mentioned as a possible candidate to coach in Denver and Indianapolis. Crump was one of seven Michigan State players facing charges but the only one tagged with a felony. Scuffles broke out in the tunnel after Michigan defeated the Spartans on Oct. 29. Crump in one video appeared to swing his helmet at a Michigan player. His attorney said a letter of apology to Gemon Green was part of the deal. Crump was suspended by Michigan State. NFL – Damar Hamlin asked who won Bills-Bengals when he woke up Damar Hamlin’s doctors say the Buffalo Bills safety has begun to communicate in writing with his family and others who have been at his bedside since going into cardiac arrest Monday — and his first question was “did we win?” Doctors at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center said in a conference call with reporters that Hamlin remains critically ill and in the hospital’s intensive care unit. But they say it appears his neurological function is intact, meaning he can follow commands and move. The developments come as the Bills return to practice for the first time since Hamlin collapsed during the first quarter of Buffalo’s game against the Bengals. Buffalo entered Monday night needing a win to maintain the AFC’s No. The Detroit Lions’ playoff prospects are a little more complicated. Detroit can reach the playoffs by beating the Packers only if Seattle loses to the LA Rams earlier in the day. A Seahawks victory would eliminate Detroit. The Lions insist they’ll still have plenty of incentive to beat their NFC North rivals even if it has no impact on their own postseason fortunes. The Lions have won seven of their last nine games and are coming off a 41-10 blowout of Chicago. Detroit already has come a long way after going 3-13-1 last year in Coach Dan Campbell’s debut season. The Lions are seeking their first playoff berth since 2016 and have a chance to end a run of four straight losing seasons. Witches, we are back on a Wednesday! This show is jam PACKED. Jessie talks about her busy bee weekend in Wyoming and making it back in time for the MGK concert. It was so fun and so entertaining, but the most entertaining part of the night was caused by, yet again, another "scuffle" that Jessie tried to handle. Does this happen to anyone else? Either way, it was the best time, and everyone came out alive! Other than that, we chat about Teresa's wedding, hair and family drama, KFed and Britney drama, and Kimye and Pete drama. The Supreme Court has been doling out enough conservative decisions this year to flood D.C. in a sea of liberal tears. As the liberal representative of the group, Calvin leads the discussion and cross examines Brooke, Cal, and Josh's conservative critiques. The gang focuses on four cases in particular: Carson v. Makin (Maine can't exclude religious schools from a state tuition program), Kennedy v. Bremerton School District (a football coach at a public high school had a constitutional right to pray at the 50-yard line after the games), New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen (states with strict limits on carrying guns in public violate the Second Amendment), and, of course, Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, (Overturning the constitutional right to an abortion established by Roe v. Wade).
After a brief hiatus, the gang is back! Jake, Mike, Ali, and Eric bring you exciting subjects such as Mike's big secret, Womens wrestling, "technically experienced" customers, Ali's phone call to Eric, awkward conversations in traffic, people you want to strangle, Mazda A/C issues, door rates, Human Resources experiences, how NOT to make more work for yourself, TSBs that don't fix anything, telling customers to F*** off, Mike's new position, new writer woes, learning to take a chill pill, and lots of cross talk. Should hijabs be allowed in mission schools? Tensions are running high in Kwara state, Nigeria. Churches, schools, and shops have been attacked. Scuffles have been reported. It all started when ten mission schools refused entry to Muslim girls wearing their hijabs. Christians in the community say the veils go against the foundations of these schools. Muslims families argue their rights, as Nigerian citizens, have been trampled on. But how deep do these tensions run? And what can Nigeria do about them? In a week which saw a new NXT Champion crowned we too got to crown a new “24/7” worst moment of the year champ to kick off the show. We didn't even wait for the Intro music to start...some things can't wait. We started off with our memories of the late great Jack Charlton before getting to this week's terrible episode of Smackdown. We then move into some general Main Roster thoughts and the rumoured Evolution 2. What match should be the main event? Everyone gets what they desire with the Celtics-Wizards best of 7 series scheduled to begin on Sunday. Scuffles, pettiness, and hard fouls aside, the talent on each side suggests this will be an ultra-competitive series, as the Celtics and Wizards split their head-to-head season series at two games apiece. Plus, after flying to Washington after Friday's Celtics victory to attend his sister Chyna's funeral, Isaiah Thomas appears ready for action in Game 1 against the Wizards.
