The Gulf of ‘America' snow storm this week has shocked much of the country, with some assuming snow has never blanketed parts of Florida or that a storm of such likeness doesn't just naturally form in the Gulf. However, a ‘Storm of the Century' did form right there in 1993, brining snow along with high winds and storm surges. In 1977, snow fell even further south down to the counties of Palm Beach and parts of Dade. On the other side of the country are new fires - many of them officially set by arsonists - with the hope of rain over the weekend. In both cases, ice and fire, the usual suspects are blamed, with a total dismissal of historical context. If there is anything suspicious then it can only be ascertained after a baseline is established. -FREE ARCHIVE (w. ads)SUBSCRIPTION ARCHIVEX / TWITTER FACEBOOKWEBSITEPAYPALCashApp: $rdgable EMAIL: rdgable@yahoo.com / TSTRadio@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/tst-radio--5328407/support.

He was participating in a joint readiness training command exercise, on a dark, stormy, night when his encounter happened. He wasn't alone at the time. He had a lieutenant and two sergeants with him. As you'll hear, if you listen to tonight's show, the fact he wasn't alone didn't bring him any comfort, due to the nature of his encounter. Have you searched endlessly for days and weeks for a microsurgeon to perform breast reconstruction? Access to care is a real concern for patients who are affected by breast cancer. Finding a plastic surgeon who specializes in tissue reconstruction in the area you live in is not always a service afforded to all patients. Traveling for breast reconstruction is not out of the ordinary. It was something I did myself for my DIEP flap. I want to bring awareness to microsurgical services in various geographic areas and interview surgeons to help patients who are looking for a reconstructive surgeon. I am introducing a new surgeon to our listeners. I hope this helps streamline the time you are taking during an already challenging time in your life. Dr. Sarosh Zafar is a double board-certified microsurgeon in plastic and reconstructive surgery and general surgery. She specializes in the most advanced methods of breast reconstruction, complex reconstruction, and microsurgery. Dr. Zafar joined the team of pioneering surgeons at (CRBS) the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery and the St. Charles Surgical Hospital in 2021. She practices in the state of Louisianna but takes patients from across the U.S. and the world. Dr. Zafar shares why she chose the field of plastic and reconstructive breast surgery. She tells us the services provided at CRBS highlighting the value of the co-surgeon model in breast reconstruction surgery. Dr. Zafar shares the pathways to find her services both at CRBS and IFAR (Institute for Advanced Reconstruction), part of the Advanced Reconstructive Surgery Alliance (ARSA) network of surgeons. Her compassionate comment at the end of the podcast will benefit patients listening. “If patients have any questions, never hesitate. That would be my number one message. Always ask. Always ask us for clarification. It can be a very confusing, intimidating process, but that's what we're here for to help figure everything out and help you get the best outcome that we can.” Links to find Dr. Sarosh Zafar: Center for Restorative Breast Surgery (CBRS) The Institute for Advanced Reconstruction (IFAR) (IFAR) Patient Portal to Schedule an appointment: tel:1-833-887-2417 Social Media Links for Dr. Sarosh Zafar: Dr. Sarosh Zafar: LinkedIn Facebook: Center for Restorative Breast Surgery Instagram: Breast Center NOLA

We're honored that you've joined us! Thank you! We're currently being downloaded in 111 countries! We deliver the facts … not fiction, covering every story with integrity and passion. In this explosive, follow-up, investigative interview, we further shine the light of the truth and drill deeper, farther and wider with Jana Guyewski Latigar (the sister of Crystal McCrory Jones).♦ We have word that KNOE News Channel 8 has a team of investigators actively working this case and will soon have an investigative report on the fact pattern regarding Crystal's mysterious, untimely and shocking death.♦ We've uncovered shocking details regarding the Forensic Pathologist in this case — and devastating errors that led to the exoneration of the West Memphis Three. On February 9th, 2023 in the sleepy town of Oak Grove, Louisiana, (population: ~2,275), Crystal was found dead in her home from what was reported to be a “self-inflicted” gunshot wound to the head. The West Carroll Parish Sheriff's Office (WCPSO) had this case “solved” in 105 minutes — less time than it takes to drive from Oak Grove to Shreveport, LA.From the initial deputy being notified by WCPSO to perform a “welfare check on the deceased” — law enforcement would've had to find Crystal's body; secure the crime scene, gathering, bagging and tagging all relevant evidence; canvass the neighborhood; track down any and all investigatory leads; interview any/all relevant suspects; complete all investigative written reports, while preserving the chain of custody … in under 2 hours! This would be amazing if it happened. In fact, it DID NOT happen this way! Police reports were strewn with misspelled words and inaccuracies, timelines of the spouse that don't match up. Premortem bruising was ignored and overlooked — which is a clear indication of a pre-death vicious struggle.♦ What was the hurry? Why the rush to judgement?♦ Why the hostile, combative responses from the Sheriff when family members of the deceased simply sought information into the death of their loved one? Isn't it normal for a devastated family to have questions, to seek answers? In this exclusive interview Jana sheds personal insight from her trauma-informed experience on courageously, (slowly) working her way through the life-altering grief stemming from her sister's death. She shares insightful coping strategies for anyone dealing with similar traumas. Also:♦ We talk about Complicated Grief, which can occur as a result of the traumatic and unexpected death of a loved one. We explore the Cycle of Grief. Everyone experiences grief — it is part of our human experience.♦ Other residents of West Carroll Parish have shared their concerns that there've been other cases that were quickly ruled a “suicide” when the facts weren't so clear.Follow Justice for Crystal McCrory Jones (the Facebook Group honoring Crystal's life and memory) and sign the Change.org petition which seeks to press law enforcement officials to re-open an investigation surrounding her mysterious death.Tune in and be educated and empowered!

Welcome to this explosive episode of “Light ‘Em Up” — actively being downloaded in 108 countries!Thank you so much for your enormous response to our previous multiple record-setting episode! As we continue to speak truth to power and shine an intense spotlight on the error-filled autopsy report and the unsubstantiated claims of the coroner, as well as the shoddy, crooked, backwoods investigational practices of the West Carroll Parish Sheriff's Department and the shady, collusive actions on the part of the 5th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Ms. Penny Douciere — we offer this brand new fact-based, investigatory episode to you.We submit that those involved in the “investigation” of this case willfully have chosen to look the other way. THAT is a text-book definition of corruption and a dereliction of official duty under the color of authority. We ask, why? Why wouldn't the Louisiana State Police open an investigation? Why the rush to judgement on the part of the coroner? On February 9, 2023 in Oak Grove, Louisiana (population 1,441), Crystal McCrory Jones was found dead in her home from what was reported to be a “self-inflicted” gunshot wound to the head. Her husband, Tony Jones (who reportedly at one time was an employee with the same W. Carroll Sheriff's Department charged with “investigating” the case) was reported to be the last person who saw her alive, at or around 8 am on the day of her death.Within 1 hour and 45 minutes of the knowledge of Crystal's death, the case was ruled to be a suicide. The fact pattern shows that there was extensive bruising on her hands, inner thighs, and a fingernail was broken off of her left hand: evidence of a pre-mortem struggle.Bruising is bleeding into the surrounding tissue and there's no bleeding if the heart isn't pumping. Bruising is indicative of clear signs that there was an intense struggle, before she died — as once the heart stops pumping blood --- there can be no bruising. As education is always a foundational pillar of Light ‘Em Up, in this fact-packed episode we drill down on:♦ What is a medico-legal death investigation — and why it is of the utmost importance that it takes place in a timely, professional and painstakingly thorough manner. It didn't!We define:♦ What an autopsy and autopsy report are, the cause and manner of death and criteria for determining a suicide. We ask:♦ Who called in a “welfare check” on Crystal in her home, and why? Were they trying to establish an alibi? We investigate:♦ The difference between a suicide and a homicide. We highlight:♦ specific Louisiana laws governing coroners' duties, autopsies and investigations — which expose officials as derelict in their duty.We clarify:♦ the 4 major problems in conducting death investigations.♦ And we instruct on the 5 objectives of an autopsy and a ton of other compelling aspects of this mysterious case. How is it that every aspect of the criminal justice system and those officials charged with honoring their oath to protect and serve and do their sworn duty failed Crystal?Crystal loved life — her presence blessed everyone who encountered her.The sad truth is that if this can happen to her — it can happen to you! We're in this fight! We'll continue with this case until we see some form of “justice” delivered to Crystal's surviving family members.Follow this link to the Change.org petition for Crystal as well as the Facebook page remembering her here. All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.Visit our sponsors Newsly & Feedspot

Welcome to Season Four!! of Best Horse Practices with Jec Ballou. Our show is a space for riders and horse owners of all disciplines to learn best practices and to discover ways, skills, strategies, tools, ideas for better connecting with their horses, with all horses and for getting work done. Our shows are short and concise, or, at least, shorter and more concise than many shows out here in the digital universe. We love to hear from listeners and often incorporate listener questions or listener suggestions for topics and guest into our podcast. So, let us hear from you. Contacting us is easy through the contact button here. We offer these shows for free. If you think it's worthy of a small contribution, we sure would appreciate it. In this Episode, I chat with Daniel Dauphin, a trainer in Louisianna, a Best Horse Practices Summit presenter, an expert in horse mouth anatomy and bits. We talked about setting back, pulling back, and trials with tying. It's a quick topic that I think you will really enjoy. Also, we have a new sponsor in Sampson Moss and his business, Prairie Wind Hat Works. Sampson makes custom hats from his place in Pincher Creek, Alberta. In upcoming shows, we're going to talk with Sampson about the details and finer points of ordering and, for him, making a custom felt hat. We'll talk about regional preferences for hat wearers, brim size and shape, crowns and creases. Check out his beautiful hats on Instagram or at Prairie Wind Hat Works . Our title sponsor is Lucerne Farms, producers of quality forage feeds. It's hay season, the rain has let up for a while, and the James family is busy in the fields of northern Maine. That's where they cut alfalfa and timothy for their products. The bales, wrapped tightly in plastic, are perfect for traveling to competitions or horse camping vacations. So, listeners, thank YOU for all the summer news on plans and projects and progress. Some great goings-on and we were excited to hear about them all, notes from horsewomen in Canada, Michigan, Washington, and elsewhere. Check them out here. As mentioned during the segment, I have been working with my young gelding, Lorenzo, but probably not as diligently as I should. We have been ponying, packing, day grazing on National Forest. I trim his feet. We work on little things and big things. He's making progress and is being handled in one way or another every day. I try to be cognizant of how I'm being when I'm with him – what am I bringing into the dry lot when I halter him? What kind of behaviors and energies and I sending his way? What am I conveying? How can I help him trust me and gain confidence? I think he's coming to understand that I am not going to throw anything at him that he can't handle and that he can know me as a level-headed partner. But. My subconscious and my partner, Shane, gave me a pretty hilarious perspective the other day: First, the dream. I am a trainer and walk into my astroturfed arena that's full of riders and horses, ready for my tutelage. Apparently, I have instructed them to all recline with their steeds and there they are – horses and riders all lounging on the astroturf. One guy is wearing flipflops. One brought his St. Bernard. Because he didn't have a horse? I remember thinking, in my dream, what the heck am I going to teach these folks? I woke up. Shane said: You? Teaching people how to relax? Yeah, I have my own personal challenges with being present and calm and I don't exactly see myself as a zen-ish instructor. We are all works in progress. Thanks to Redmond Equine and Pharm Aloe – for generously sponsoring our podcast. Check out Pharm Aloe's aloe pellets which you can simply sprinkle on your horse's feed and Redmond's Rock on a Rope which you can simply hang on a fence. We think you'll love ‘em. Also thanks to Patagonia WorkWear for their continued support. Give us feedback, suggest a topic or guest, or make a donation and you'll be automatically entered to win one of two free Patagonia WorkWear items that we give away every month. Don't forget that Redmond Equine is sending a complimentary syringe of Daily Gold Stress Relief to everyone who drops a tip in our donation jar. Pretty cool and a $15 value. If you get something of value from our podcast, please consider making a donation. We sure would appreciate it. That's it. Another episode and another season in the can and out of the barn. Thanks for listening, y'all!

I first met "Dick" Daschbach when we served together in the NH House of Representatives. Dick and I formed an immediate bond and along with our colleagues, particularly V. Michael Hutchings and Deborah "Arnie" Arnesen we formed the backbone of a "peanut gallery" sitting at the back of Reps Hall together and offering a running commentary on the proceedings to one another.Dick's first job after college but before Law School was as a worker in the US Senate Post Office. Beau ButtonTake a walk with me down Fascination Street as I get to know Beau Button. Born and raised just outside of New Orleans, Louisianna; Beau quickly became obsessed with the personal computer. while he was still in single digits, Beau began taking these machines apart to see what made them work, and how he could improve them. He basically never stopped doing that. In this episode, we chat about what got him interested in computers, and why he collects them to this day. We take a bit of a detour and talk about his short stint working at The Piggly Wiggly, before diving headfirst into his company: Atlas Reality Inc. Beau explains what the company is, what the company does, and why he thinks this was a market that need to be addressed. I took the opportunity to grill Beau on the meanings of: Web 1, Web 2, and Web 3; and he helps me understand what the heck all that means. Next, we address the virtual reality space and how he thinks he and his company can make an impact there. Beau explains how the blockchain technology can revolutionize more than just banking. Finally, he tells me all about his location-based gaming company Atlas Reality Inc, and their games Atlas Empire, Atlas Earth, and (coming soon) Atlas Mars. All along the way, we talk about virtual reality, AI (artificial intelligence), NFTs, Pokemon Go, and AtlasEarth.com

To celebrate the start of the new year, I'm going to keep with tradition and share our most popular episode of 2022! Anyone as obsessed with true crime and mysteries as I am will surely know the story of the Axeman of New Orleans. He terrorized Italian immigrants in the early 1900s and introduced us to the term "jazz it." But did you know this was not the first incident of an unknown person (or persons) terrorizing Louisiana with an ax? It probably won't come as much of a surprise to learn that over five years earlier, someone was attacking black communities with a family's own hatchet in the dead of night. Sound familiar? Originally broadcast January 12, 2022.Written and narrated by Schuyler Fastenau-Jones and executive produced by Daniel Fastenau-Jones. Additional voices by Jeremy Staple, Tamara Perry, Janette Zosche, Jordan Katcher, Maurice Whitfield, Juno Nifosi, and Daniel Fastenau-Jones. Cover artwork by Catherine Fastenau. Fredrick Russell Burnham might have been the first model of American masculinity. His lifestyle would one day permeate into the 20th century as men across the country sought to adopt the mindset of Burnham. The long line of Fredrick's imitators is unsurprising since he was the inspiration for the founder of the boy scouts. Furthermore, one esteemed colleague of his had based much of his beliefs and behavior on him before rising to the president's office. Of course, we are talking about none other than Teddy Roosevelt. Burnham's influence surely is unmatched, and he has the combat record to back it up. However, few remember his part to play in the failed attempt to bring hippos to Louisianna. Fredrick Russell Burnham, along with a couple of unlikely allies, ran a campaign to popularize hippos into the American diet and begin farming hippos on American soil. The only thing that held back this plan was World War 1. Burnham's life, indeed, was extraordinary.Things I Learned Last Night is an educational comedy podcast where best friends Jaron Myers and Tim Stone talk about random topics and have fun all along the way.
