It's hump day and as it so happens technical hiccup day. But don't worry, we got some scotch tape and paperclips and have McGyvered this thing for now. Republicans in Congress are doing what they can to push their massive tax cut through reconciliation, and you'll never get who's gonna benefit from that (it's rich people). To make it happen, Republicans are now trying to sneak in cuts to Medicare. We talk first to Singrid Steinmetz, an ICU nurse and a member of the California Nurses Association, which represents nearly 2,200 at Long Beach Medical Center who will be striking tomorrow. Here's the contact info for LBMC in case you want to tell management there to support it's nurses: https://www.memorialcare.org/locations/long-beach-medical-center After that, we hear from The Guardian U.S. investigative reporter George Joseph about his stunning new piece out today about how United Health Care has secretly paid nursing homes that helped it gain Medicare enrollees and reduced hospitalizations: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/may/21/unitedhealth-nursing-homes-payments-hospital-transfers In the Fun Half, Emma, Sam and Matt respond to Skelator look-alike Rick Scott trying to make the case for making cuts to Medicaid by arguing that if you want health care in America you should have to work for it. Steve Scalise is singing the same tune. Bernie went on Andrew Schulz's show and managed to get him and his bros to acknowledge the problem of inequality and the absurdity of being the only industrialized country in the world without guaranteed health care. Also, Andrew Cuomo talks to Bari Weiss about what's ailing Democratic-run cities and states (hint, he blames the left) and he seems to be pushing an Abundance™ style agenda. Have you ever said something, and it ‘dated' you? We do that more often than we like to, here on Brothers in Arms! Tonight we reminisce about Skelator and the incompetent boob, I'm wireless, yeah I farted, with peach preserve, you're making me hungry, shout out to Jake14905, rambalamb, April Fools, that's a new years month, happy birthday Grandma, typing fopah, you would have made an excellent Officer, shenanigans, sounds like deployment, pirates of a landlocked state, they're pretty direct - it's in the name, see the new new, I'm both amazed and I hate you, I'm a seagull…, do you have the time - no, goldfish hit me hard, I go now?, the very definition of insanity, the 15 day workweek, you're the problem, “the full, the stache, and the smooth,” and a pause through our regular Dad jokes! His stories vary greatly on what I remember, but hey, such is life. Apparently he's starting a podcasting venture, and wanted to talk about it...

Welcome to an all new episode of Painted Trash--Trash talking with a twist of gay! This is a jam packed episode with lots of tea being spilled. Even right of the gate tea gets spilled as Mark talks about corona-19 scares and has some shocking details for everyone! And Casey is highlighting his week by updating the viewers, writers, listeners, and callers with the results of his doubles tennis match. In this week's Mid Section, it's the close of Pride Month and the weekend of what would normally be height of the celebrations, parades, and all. With coronavirus infections surging in much of the United States, standard Pride celebrations have had to be cancelled or postpone to keep people safe for now, but should we still show our Pride? The Boys are answering this question by looking at the start of the Gay Pride Movement and why it's just as important if not more important to be observing Pride Month now. The Boys also have some tips for how you can show your Pride and be a part of the community while staying healthy and safe.In this week's Trash Talk, Mark & Casey are bringing the topics everyone is talking about right now! Starting with John Bolton's new book, The Room Where It Happened. The book he was paid $10 million dollars to write instead of giving testimony to Congress during the Impeachment Trial of POTUS. TIP: the book has been leaked online. Save your coin and don't give it to Bolton, download it and read it online. Next up, did you see the video of the Vice President of the United Stats falling UP the stairs?? Check the video out here --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSj9vnIZPSg. Then it's on to Kelly Anne Conway (aka Skelator) appears to have got some work done AND had time to change her mind on what is and isn't racist behavior. Then, OF COURSE Mark & Casey are going to paint the Omaha rally for the current POTUS re-election campaign. In case you've been living under a rock, the huge crowds expected and touted by campaign leaders, despite social distancing measures, turned out to be less than expected allegedly thanks to Tik-Tok and K-Pop fans. Next up, The Boys are discussing the announced shuttering of another gay conversion therapy group who has been dealing with not just the intense push back on conversion therapy, but also a big announcement from its former leader! Finally, Casey is spilling the tea and catching everyone up on recent events and conversations happening within the Chicago Drag community! This one's jam packed with tea spilling, laughter, port vintage, and of course, trash talking! So pour yourself a light, summer port vintage and get ready for an all new, Painted Trash!
Greyhawk just premiered "Dont Wait for the Wizard" from their upcoming album "Keepers of the Flame" and it's AWESOME! Stay tuned til the end to hear the new Greyhawk song. Horns up!

It's a ton of fun! At the end I tell the tale of something I found on the side of the road and the adventure of bringing it home... It's a tale for the ages. IMHO this is one of the most jam packed episodes I've ever done. I hope you dig it as much as I dug making it. Patreon Exclusive content at SupportTheReport.com There is so much great stuff there! Today, there’s a keto tsunami coming. Plus, Skelator… the great George Carlin… crappy ice cream… the Big Game, and weird food combinations. The post Bonus Show #448: January 31, 2020 appeared first on The Mike O'Meara Show.

Technical problems and light incompetence make this a lost episode of sorts, but it's worth the wait! Hilarious and prolific Portland comedian Hunter Donaldson joined us in July for a spirited conversation about Arkansas Lake Music, very specific board games, and introduced us to a little lady named Spaghefani. You can see Hunter every Thursday as a part of comedy showcase Earthquake Hurricane (at Ford Food & Drink), every Sunday for his show Comedy is Everything (at Alberta Street Pub), or via his board game podcast Space Cats Peace Turtles. Music this week includes:"A Day at the Lake" by Wandering Lake (16:33)"Famous Last Words" by True Loves (38:45)"Catharsis" by Wandering Lake (52:01)"Akira" by Skelator (69:26)"Don't Let Me Go By" by The Hackles (80:22)

Another thrilling edition of Awesomecast is here! This time we are not chilling in the dark on our Iphones! Our guests this week are Cynthia Closkey from bigbigdesign.com, John Carman fromavenuedesignstudios.com and the always lovable Cha Chi! Cynthia starts out discussing Say The Same Thing by the band OK GO! The goal of the game is to think of the same word as the person you are playing with. If you would like to play it, play with Cynthia at ccloskey! Sorg brought up invisible headphones that can be implanted into your ears! Cha Chi brings up the social implications if ear phones like these become the norm! John talks about JB dubs, a formally trained dancer with some â??alternativeâ?? dancing videos you can find on video. Check them out! Cha Chi brings up Avenger Alliance, a game he really enjoys via Facebook, but then brings up something not so awesome; Google's Music. He has been able to use it on his computer, but not on the phone. Much like Spotify. Cynthia and the gang discuss Google Reader going under. Sorg brings up Feedly, which has some sync issues but overall has been a good alternative. Cha Chi, the self proclaimed â??Feedly Hipsterâ?? waits patiently to air his grievances with Feedly, and also discuss what would make him stop using the internet. Alex Kahrs provided us info about Lisnr.com which can install on your mobile phone and can give you nice extras when it recognizes songs or certain vibrations. Somehow this transitions to talk about the movie â??classicâ?? Josie and the Pussycats. The gang discusses Ifixit's Iphone 5 liberation kit. It is a way to fix your own phone and until July 5th you can receive this by only having to pay shipping and handling. Next up, the gang looks at an article about hands free texting, and how it is not a safe alternative. John Carman and Cha Chi both believe if you are going out that way, go out big! Seriously though, do not take selfies! Join us live Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. EST on live.sorgatronmedia.com! Join the AwesomeCast on Twitter, Facebook and be sure to follow us on iTunes in both video and audio formats, as well as YouTube, Boxee, Roku, and Blip.tv! As always, you can chime in with news, thoughts, or comments at Contact@AwesomeCast.com or 724-25-A-CAST. Miss a link? Want to see what we didnâ??t get to? Check the Show Notes!
