Karol Markowicz sits down with Miriam “Mock” Weaver and Amy Jo “Daisy” Clark of Chicks on the Right for a candid conversation about the growing divisions inside conservative media, speaking out when it’s unpopular, and what they believe is happening to the American right. Mock and Daisy explain why they were willing to publicly criticize prominent conservative voices including Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson, why authenticity has been central to Chicks on the Right’s success, and how they built a fiercely loyal audience over more than 17 years of political commentary. They also share the unlikely story of how Chicks on the Right began, their transition from corporate careers to blogging, radio and podcasting, and why patriotism remains at the heart of their show. Karol, Mock and Daisy also debate where America could be headed over the next five years, the political divide between left and right, the influence of AI and technology on culture, the future of younger generations, and whether Americans have reason to be optimistic about the country. Plus, Mock opens up about resilience after suffering a stroke and losing her son, while Daisy discusses family, gratitude and the importance of continuing to learn at every stage of life. It’s a wide-ranging conversation about conservative media, friendship, resilience, patriotism and why Mock’s advice remains simple: never bet against America.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Is what's going on in the online space a social justice movement or online bullying in disguise?   Is our support of other human beings really being reduced to one or two perspectives they express and 140 characters?   These days if you voice your opinion online and it's different from the status quo, you're basically told not to exist, or that you're taking up too much space. Self-censorship isn't any way to live life.   Welcome to episode 24 of the Rebel By Design podcast! In this episode, I'm chatting with podcaster, writer, and Instagram and Tiktok content creator: Kenzie Brenna.    Kenzie and I talk about why cancel culture is toxic, online diet space, clapping back and deciding that different opinions deserve to be heard- even if it feels uncomfortable.   There is a lot that can be uncovered if we allow ourselves to sit in discomfort.   We don't have all the answers or solutions, and our discussion points out that telling someone else to be silent isn't helpful in amplifying other voices.   There's a way for all voices to be heard and have a seat at the table. But it's not by removing seats- it's by making the table longer. Enjoy the show!!   Catie Love the show? What happens when people engage in a cancellation campaign?   Are they privy to what was said behind closed doors, or to ALL of the information required to form an educated opinion about it?   Or, do they go off of really small bits and pieces of stories that were told on Instagram?   It's incredibly important to consider what we know and understand about a situation before canceling someone online. The effects of cancel culture are long-lasting and can be extremely traumatic.   Welcome to episode 18 of Rebel by Design! In this episode, I'm talking about my own brush with being canceled, and how this phenomenon is really just thinly veiled virtue signaling.   Also, I'm sharing my opinions regarding the direction we are going in as a society in the name of social justice and wokeism.   In the United States. We are innocent until proven guilty, except in cancel culture. In cancel culture, you are 100% guilty until proven innocent.    I understand this material is challenging, but I also know that it's really important that we have open and honest conversations about it.   Enjoy the show!!   Catie   Love the show? This week we are back with David Sobeski and Part II of the talk with him. David talks about his interpretation of the Oprah Winfrey theory and how it can be applied in management. He tells us how he is using 1 on 1 walks with his direct reports to get out of the confined environment that is the office space and how that changes things. We talk extensively about the difference between US and European work culture and the importance of being passionate about what you do.  David is dreading the notion of "just having a job" when it should/could be "that you want to change the world".IT or technology? David expresses his annoyance with my use of the term IT to define what, in his view, is the technology department and how this difference in expression effects motivation of tech teams.Different backgrounds, different semantics.  Or?He dives deep into the question whether your colleagues and employees also can be your friend and he talks about being fearless, speaking your mind without fear and agree to disagree and not take things personally in the corporate environment. As well, in this episode, Ariel and Mats talk about how the last 2 podcast topics influenced and were aligned with their own experiences, in their debrief.Support the show
