Electronic Arts' proposed $55bn leveraged buyout has upended expectations for its 2031 and 2051 bonds.Instead of pricing in a straightforward 101% change-of-control payout, investors are weighing a tender offer and potential defeasance strategy that could strip covenants and lower the takeout cost. With a potential downgrade looming, bondholders must decide whether they can resist the maneuver or accept a discounted exit.Tune into our latest episode of Cloud 9fin, where senior legal analysts Chris Osborne and Anthony Park unpack this situation with senior credit analyst Steven Price.Follow our reporting of the Electronic Arts takeover at 9fin.com.Have any feedback on this episode? Edgar makes a welcome return to Soundtracking to discuss his take on Stephen King's novel, The Running Man. Very much not a remake of the 1987 movie, it remains faithful to King's novel, and features an incredible array of needle drops to compliment Steven Price's score. This is the first of two bonus episodes with total legends in quick succession. Tune in to find out who's next ...
In 1999, we were treated to a full re-imagining of the 1959 horror classic House on Haunted Hill. Directed by William Malone and loosely adapted from Robb White's original story by screenwriter Dick Beebe, this is one of those rare remakes/reboots/re-imaginings where homage and inspiration meet and produce something welcome at just the right time. This update is completely different in just about every way—except for the basic kernel of the story.Geoffrey Rush (as Steven Price) and his wife Famke Janssen (Evelyn) host a party of unsuspecting guests for a night filled with shock and terror. The animosity between the couple and the characterization of Watson Pritchett (Chris Kattan) are carried over, and yes, there's a very large house with some very scary things. But that's about where the similarities end. This re-imagining updates the tone to a contemporary horror standard: heavy on computer effects, much gorier, both almost loud enough to overshadow the entertaining performances from the entire cast, but it doesn't. In the end it all works for a lot of fun.Our party guests are rounded out by:Taye DiggsAli LarterPeter GallagherBridgette WilsonAnd the great Jeffrey Combs as Dr. VannacuttIt's slick, it's loud, it's bloody—and it's a lot of fun. This week we take a huge leap, right into orbit, as we discuss 2013 sci-fi Gravity. We leapt here with composer Steven Price.
Composer Chris Benstead talks about being Guy Ritchies' musical maestro on multiple projects, including THE GENTLEMEN on Netflix and THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE. How his musical education led him into music mixing and eventually working in the “sound” departments on major projects, before his work with Patrick Doyle, Steven Price, Alan Menken and Hans Zimmer brought him back into the “composer” role for Guy Ritchie. Why Guy sometimes asks him to be “braver” with a cue, and how to delegate (aka “let go”) of certain parts of the music composition process that you're good at. Interview by Kenny Holmes and Matt Schrader.
Steven Price is a barrister specialising in media law and joins Nights to discuss the long running Bruce Lehrmann defamation case.
Dana and Tom discuss the Sci-Fi Thriller, Gravity (2013): written and directed by Alfonso Cuaron, co-written with Jonas Cuaron, music by Steven Price, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.Plot Summary: "Gravity" is a cinematic tour de force that plunges audiences into the relentless, unforgiving expanse of outer space. Directed by visionary filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón, this space odyssey is a heart-pounding, visually stunning masterpiece that redefines the limits of human survival and the art of filmmaking. The story unfolds high above the Earth's surface, where Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) and veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski (George Clooney) are on a routine spacewalk to repair the Hubble Space Telescope. However, their mission takes a catastrophic turn when debris from a destroyed satellite hurtles toward them, leaving their shuttle destroyed and the two astronauts stranded in the vast, merciless void of space.Cuarón's genius lies in his ability to create an immersive experience that captures the terrifying isolation of space. The film's breathtaking cinematography, led by Emmanuel Lubezki, pulls viewers into the weightlessness and disorienting chaos of the cosmos. Through seemingly unbroken, mesmerizing long takes, Cuarón allows us to witness the beauty and terror of space, emphasizing the fragility of human life in the face of the universe's sheer indifference. "Gravity" is more than just a technical marvel; it's a meditation on the human spirit's resilience in the face of insurmountable odds. Driven by Stone's determination and guided by Kowalski's wisdom, the film explores themes of survival, rebirth, and the indomitable will to overcome adversity. It's a gripping tale of human vulnerability and the quest for home and meaning amidst the vastness of space. You can now follow us on Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok (@gmoatpodcast) or find our Facebook page at Greatest Movie of All-Time Podcast. For more on the episode, go to: https://www.ronnyduncanstudios.com/post/gravity-2013For the entire rankings list so far, go to:Full Graded List - Greatest Movies of All-Time Ronny Duncan Studios

Talented composer who has worked with Edgar Wright plus Howard Shore on the Lord Of The Rings original trilogy as well. He won an Oscar for his original score for the film Gravity.

Of the score, composer STEVEN PRICE says, “How does the music of our lives change as we grow old? What could forty years of unspoken regrets do to a musical theme? These were the questions that intrigued and consumed me after being introduced to the story of My Policeman by our movie's wonderful director, Michael Grandage, early in 2021. In its exploration of the lives of three people both in their 1950s youth and then as their older selves in the English coastal town of Peacehaven some four decades later, the project offered an inspiring canvas for a wonderful collaboration. Some pieces were written early on during the shoot and seemed to quickly fall into place, while others evolved more gradually throughout the process as we continually discovered more about both our characters and their environment, musical representations of the sound of the sea becoming a crucial element within the storytelling of the score.”Help support our show by purchasing this album at:Downloads (classicalmusicdiscoveries.store) Classical Music Discoveries is sponsored by Uber. @CMDHedgecock#ClassicalMusicDiscoveries #KeepClassicalMusicAlive#LaMusicaFestival #CMDGrandOperaCompanyofVenice #CMDParisPhilharmonicinOrléans#CMDGermanOperaCompanyofBerlin#CMDGrandOperaCompanyofBarcelonaSpain#ClassicalMusicLivesOn#Uber Please consider supporting our show, thank you!Donate (classicalmusicdiscoveries.store) staff@classicalmusicdiscoveries.comThis album is broadcasted with the permission of Crossover Media Music Promotion (Zachary Swanson and Amanda Bloom).

The latest film from director Edgar Wright, Last Night in Soho, is a time-twisting psychological thriller about a young woman named Eloise (Thomasin McKenzie) who moves to London to enter fashion school. Once there, though, the sheltered Ellie finds herself haunted by dreams in which she's transported into 1960s Soho, viewing the young life of an aspiring singer (Anya Taylor-Joy) and the impending doom she may be hurtling towards. It's a film as informed by 1960s British gangster movies and kitchen sink dramas as it is by Italian giallo pictures and psychological horror, which fits Wright's innately cinephiliac style. References to the films of Ken Loach and Michael Powell abound, alongside the swinging '60s soundtrack with tracks from Cilla Black to Dusty Springfield. But alongside those groovy crate pulls is an atmospheric score courtesy of today's guest, Oscar and BAFTA-winning composer (and regular Wright collaborator) Steven Price. He's scored works from Joe Cornish's Attack the Block to Wright's own The World's End and Baby Driver. His most famous work is likely Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity, for which he won an Academy Award and cemented himself as an idiosyncratic composer whose works blur the line between incidental score and sound design. Now, he joins me to talk about the eerie, time-warping score for Soho. You can find Steven Price at his official website here. Last Night in Soho is currently playing in theaters. You can also listen to the score on your preferred music streaming service courtesy of Back Lot Music.

Watching the film Her will definitely bring about emotion with its audiences. It was just a perfect mix of great writing, great directing, and a great screenplay that gives us a deep and thought-provoking film. So join us this week as we discussed and talked about Her, the Her movie cast, the missing Her movie soundtrack, and giving our final Her film review! What is the film Her about? Spike Jonze (Source) Spike Jonze's film Her is about a recently divorced man named Theodore Twambly, installs a new personal assistant operating system. Eventually, he falls in love her (she names herself Samantha). They help each other grow as Theodore helps Samantha evolve beyond her programming and Samantha helps him navigate through his post-divorce emotions and loneliness. We think that one of the main messages this movie is trying to get across is that you are allowed to be more than what you are, especially if you are limiting yourself. Her Movie Cast Joaquin Phoenix as Theodore Twambly We think Joaquin did a fantastic job in this film, despite how odd he can be sometimes. The one thing we do know is that he really does commit to the roles he plays. Like many of the other cast members, he did a great job conveying the emotion and feeling of his character and the film to audiences. Scarlett Johansson as the voice of Samantha Johansson was actually not the initial voice of Samantha. It was Samantha Morton who originally voiced this role. However, later on, Spike Jonze decided in post-production that Morton didn't provide what was needed for this film and with her blessing, Johansson was casted as the artificial intelligence character. (Photo by Gage Skidmore) Amy Adams as Amy While Adams has a smaller and supporting role in this movie, she did great just like Joaquin did by conveying the emotion her character was feeling to the audience. There was actually a bit of a side-story cut from this film about Adams' character's documentary that she is making, which obviously would've resulted in more screen time for Amy Adams, but Jonze had the original two and a half hour runtime cut down to 2 hours with the help of Steven Soderbergh. and... Chris Pratt as Paul Rooney Mara as Catherine Klausen Olivia Wilde as Blind Date Her Movie Soundtrack Arcade Fire and Owen Pallet composed the music and score for the film Her. For some odd reason though, there was never an official soundtrack released for this movie! Why not? Who decides these things? This music for this film was actually very good in our opinion and we think the soundtrack would have sold well! There have been rumblings of it being released, but no good solid leads at this point. The Her score was ultimately nominated for an Academy Award at the 86th Academy Awards show, but lost to Steven Price's score for the film Gravity. Scarlett Johansson Song in Her: "The Moon Song" "The Moon Song" was composed by Karen Orzolek and the lyrics were written by her and director Spike Jonze! During the film, Scarlett Johansson sings the song which fit perfectly within its setting. During the end credits, Orzolek can be heard singing it, though. It was nominated at the 86th Academy Awards show for Best Original Song. Unfortunately, this nomination lost as well. This time to the well-known and at the time over-play song from Frozen, "Let It Go" (rolling eyes, haha!). In any case, "The Moon Song" is a very soft and gentle song, but captures the theme of love very well. Take a listen below! Force Fed Sci-Fi's Lens Flares Sean's Lens Flare this week is the fact that nobody wears belts in the future in this film apparently. Chris argues that maybe that's just the style for that time, but Sean says that if you have them, why aren't you using them! So Chris says it's a fashion statement, but Sean's reasoning is sound as if we stop using them in the future, why would we include them on our pants anyways?
This week on 'comPOSERS' we kick back with some space related drinks and discuss Steven Price's film score for the science fiction thriller Gravity, a score that actually deserved an Academy Award, unlike some recent winners...
