Pedro "Pegy" Rosello was a Cuban-American drug trafficker who was affiliated with the Los Muchachos crime syndicate in Miami during the 1980s. He grew up in Little Havana, where he met Willy Falcon through his sister, who was married to Willy's brother Gustavo ("Taby"). Rosello grew ambitious because of his unwillingness to follow in the footsteps of his working-class father, and he became involved in Falcon and Sal Magluta's cartel. Rosello developed a relationship with Alexia Echevarria, a Cuban-American woman whom he had met at a restaurant and later a nightclub, and they were engaged to marry before they were forced to call off the wedding on learning that the police intended to arrest him there. On 17 September 1991, he was arrested in his driveway as the police cracked down on the cartel. Rather than spend the rest of his life in prison, he agreed to cooperate with the government, drawing a map of La Gorce Island and thus helping with the 15 October 1991 arrest of Sal Magluta. He was sentenced to 24 years in prison, serving only 4. He was released in 1996, and he divorced Echevarria, who became a reality television star. Hear all about it.Taby brings us another notable woman of history, and one Dawn actually likes this time :) One of the brighter and often overlooked Paleontologists, Mary Anning started as a young 12 year old girl on the coastal shores of England, working the very beach that eventually claimed the life of her father, to find fossils to sell to passing tourists. Poor and uneducated, a women and therefore often uncredited for her work, Anning became one of the most respected authorities on fossils for her time, and discovered many valuable new species. Many of her finds can be seen today still in the British Natural History Museum. It's rumored  Mary is the "She" from 'She sells sea shells'.An astute woman, we're not false when we say she really knows her Shit. We have three members of the We Are Superman Leadville 10 Warriors group who in March participated in our run at the Land Between the Lakes race in western Kentucky, all with inspirational stories to tell.First is Packer Wilson of Oklahoma.  Packer is waiting for a kidney transplant.  In the meantime, he hooks up to a dialysis machine for eight hours every night.  Despite that, Packer completed the half-marathon wearing a shirt that reads “Running for a Kidney.”  He is blood type O+ and you can help him on Instagram at #gotakidney  Packer is planning, transplant or not, to run the Georgia Death Race in 2022, much to the, ahem, delight, of his wife Danielle.  Definitely don't count out this tough hombre…Next we have Marian Cosgrove, who hosted and organized our Land Between the Lakes event, housing and all, and one of the genuinely nicest people you'll want to meet.  Marian is our connoisseur of all things meditation, and she will tell you her amazing story about losing her way but eventually getting sober and grabbing an opportunity to join the police force in Murray, Kentucky, where she has received multiple awards for the her compassionate approach to law enforcement.Last but not least we have one of our newest, and more effusive, members, Taby Rubio-Moulier, who drive to Kentucky all the way from York, Pa.  As you'll hear, Taby finally decided it was time to make a change in her life, joined the We Are Superman Leadville Ten Warriors, and having never run more than a 5K before, completed the half-marathon.  An incredible feat!  We are looking forward to seeing what she accomplishes moving forward!Please contact Bill for more info about the We Are Superman Leadville Ten Warriors at silly_billy@msn.com, on Facebook, or Instagram @stahlorPacker Wilson:FacebookInstagram #gotakidneyMarian Cosgrove:FacebookInstagram @marian1030Taby Rubio-Moulier:Facebook - Seven Moulier
