Scary Movie | Frustig statt frech "Scary Movie" kehrt mit vielen bekannten Gesichtern zu seinen Wurzeln zurück. Nachdem der fünfte Teil mit einem neuen Ensemble weder Fans noch das breite Publikum überzeugen konnte, sind diesmal Anna Faris als Cindy, Regina Hall als Brenda sowie Marlon und Shawn Wayans wieder mit dabei. Auch weitere Figuren aus den ersten Filmen feiern ihr Comeback. Für Paramount dürfte die Rückkehr der Kultfiguren ein echter Publikumsmagnet werden – auch wenn der Film mit seinem Humor erneut für Diskussionen sorgen könnte. Stu und Johannes sind sich nach der Sichtung allerdings nicht sicher, ob der sechste Teil tatsächlich so provokant ist, wie er gerne sein möchte. Einig sind sie sich hingegen in einem anderen Punkt: Mit einem guten Film haben wir es hier ihrer Meinung nach nicht zu tun. Ab dem 4. Podcast heißt: Verbindung und Verbindlichkeit – mein Jahresrückblick 2025Wir schreiben Ende 2025 und ich habe mir dieses Jahr sehr viel Gedanken um die beiden Worte 'Verbindung und Verbindlichkeit' gemacht, sie entstammen doch irgendwie dem gleichen Wortstamm. Vor über 15 Jahren habe ich mich einmal bei Facebook angemeldet um mit echten Menschen aus der ganzen Welt die ich kenne in Verbindung bleiben zu können – ich fand das irre toll zu sehen was meine australische Yogalehrerin machte oder was Freunde die in Ghana lebten machten um in Verbindung sein zu können. Es fühlte sich magisch an – als würde die Welt plötzlich kleiner und wärmer werden.Heute haben wir mehr Möglichkeiten denn je, 'in Verbindung‘ zu sein. WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Threads, Telegram… die Liste könnte ich endlos weiterführen. Was dabei enorm interessant ist, je mehr Kanäle wir haben, desto weniger passiert wahre menschliche Verbindung – sie wird irgendwie eindimensional. Und so habe ich die letzten Monate ein kleines Experiment gemacht, denn ich liebe ja Experimente: Immer wenn ich etwas gepostet habe und jemand mir darauf eine Reaktion, also so ein Emoticon geschickt hat, wie zum Beispiel ein ⭐️ ❤️

Like the millions of people living with disabilities, Paralympians have a multitude of ways they acquired those disabilities. Some like Ezra Frech were born with disabilities and many others like Lindi Marcusen acquired those disabilities later in life, in her case in a car accident just two weeks after her wedding. Nonetheless, the Paralympic Games have provided an amazing outlet for Ezra, Lindi and others to show everything they are capable of at the highest level of sport. In Ezra’s case, that resulted in two gold medals in Paris in the 100 meters and the high jump in his classification, and in Lindi’s case, it has allowed her to become the fastest woman on the U.S. team. But just because they have had success on the field doesn’t mean their travel experiences are easy. In fact, each of them has faced challenges as they seek to transport both themselves and their equipment to locations around the world, including to the world’s most prestigious sports events. It’s one of many reasons they are both now spokespeople for a new campaign organized by Ottobock, the global medtech company, called “The Invisible Class,” which is aiming to put a spotlight on the organizations that are actually succeeding when it comes to providing a better experience. And with December 3 being International Day of Persons with Disabilities, this conversation will take a look at what some of those travel challenges can be. The journey from one Paralympics to another isn't easy.That was especially true from Tokyo to Paris, with an atypical three-year gap between Games due to the COVID-19 pandemic pushing back the former.But that wasn't a problem for Ezra Frech.The Team USA track and field star, at just 16 years old in 2021, finished fifth in the high jump T63 event with a personal best and eighth in the long jump T63 event. He took those moments and built upon them with an intense three-year training period to get ready for Paris in 2024. While training, Frech had another job -- executive producing the new Peacock docuseries "Adaptive." The doc follows Frech and three other Paralympic athletes on their journey from Tokyo to Paris."It's basically everything that a sports doc should be," Frech explained in an interview with NBC. "It's really raw, emotional, authentic. There's lots of highs, lows, ups, downs, tears, laughter and, in my case, the peak of the peak -- winning two Paralympic gold medals."It's the behind-the-scenes of all that. So, if anyone wants to know what goes on behind the curtain in my life, 'Adaptive' is it."As he says, Frech was not only successful in making a great sports doc -- he was also successful in his primary goal of becoming a Paralympic champion. Ezra Frech was born a congenital amputee but started off his athletic career mostly competing against non-disabled athletes. It was when he was 8 years old that his father took him to his first para competition, and given that support, he was able to perform at his highest level. After that day, Ezra and his father made a promise to each other that they would bring para events to Southern California, and with that, Angel City Sports was born. Angel City Sports is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that provides year-round adaptive sports opportunities for kids, adults and veterans with physical disabilities or visual impairments. And now, Frech is a Paralympic gold medalist, having won the 100 meters and the high jump T63 at the Paris Games.
