Adidas pro Josh Hoey joins us fresh off a scorching performance at the Indoor Championships in New York, kicking off his 2025 season in other-wordly fashion.Josh broke his own American Indoor 800m record, winning his first national championship at the 2025 USATF Indoor Championships in Staten Island with a time of 1:43.24. Josh also ran a blazing 1:43.9 in the 800m at the Millrose Games; prior to that he won the 1500m at the New Balance Grand Prix in Boston with a time of 3:33.66, beating Olympian Grant Fisher. In January of this year he set a new American record in the short track 1,000m with a time of 2:14.48–which is the second fastest time in indoor history. Josh finished fourth in the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 800m with a time of 1:44.12. Josh went to Bishop Shanahan High School in Pennsylvania, where he set a U.S. high school national record in the 800m as a senior with a time of 1:47.67.Josh has experienced a lot in his time as a competitive runner, having worked with six coaches over six years. Today on the podcast is NCAA Champion, US Olympian, and Coach, Robby Andrews!  He recently launched his coaching business called "Miles to Go" where he hopes to help athletes reach their goals no matter where their journey is starting.  Robby has run 1:44.71 (800m), 3:34.78 (1500m), and 3:53.16 (Mile).  Back in HS, Andrews attended Manalapan High School. As a senior in 2009, he set the U.S. high school indoor records for both the 800m, at 1:49.21, and the 1000m, at 2:22.28. In today's conversation, Robby takes me through stepping away from the sport, if his incredible success early on was a blessing or curse, his foray into coaching, and much much more! The Gabby Thomas Special is here!  Today's episode is my favorite episode we've ever recorded. Gabby's willingness to go deep on a plethora of subjects made this one next level. Gabby has accomplished so much in the sport, so to have the opportunity to have a long-form conversation with her was a privilege and an honor.  For those who aren't familiar with her:  Gabby is a 2xOlmypic Medalist (2021 Olympic Bronze medalist in the 200m & Silver medalist in the 4x100m Relay).  Gabby was the 2023 USATF Champion in the 200m and the 2021 US Olympic Trials Champion in 200m as well.  She most recently secured Silver at the 2023 World Championships in the 200m and Gold in the 4x100m relay.   Back in 2018, Gabby won the NCAA Indoor Championship in the 200m while representing Harvard. While at Harvard, Gabby studied neurobiology and global health as an undergraduate. She later got her Master's Degree in epidemiology from UT Austin.  Gabby holds PRs of 11.00 in the 100m, 21.69 in the 200m, 35.73 in the 300m, and 49.68 in the 400m.  Today's conversation was second to none.
