Join us on an enriching journey with Mandy, whose story of transformation from a fitness enthusiast to a holistic nutritionist is nothing short of inspiring. Our conversation begins with a trip down memory lane as Mandy shares her early fitness memories, all the way to the stage of a WBFF Pro athlete. However, all that glitters is not gold, and Mandy opens up about the less glamorous aspects of fitness competitions and the impact it had on her relationship with food and her own body. As our discussion progresses, we pivot towards holistic nutrition and the immense significance of gut health on our mental well-being. Mandy's insights on intentional nutrition, probiotics, and the use of food sensitivity tests to restore gut health, reduce inflammation, and balance our meals are truly enlightening. She emphasizes the importance of being your own health advocate, a lesson learned from her own journey towards holistic health. The latter part of our conversation delves into the currently controversial subject of transgender inclusion in sports. As a woman and a mother of an athlete, Mandy expresses her concerns about the potential ramifications of recent decisions on women's sports. We then round off our talk by discussing core values, the people we surround ourselves with, and the ways to impart these values to our children. And we talk about her businesses coaching, her coaching app (I ordered it right after we recorded!) her e-books, and the passion in her voice is undeniable.
