With Trump unsurprisingly appointing disruptors to his administration, Global Disorder beckons. How did we get here? Seemingly because Biden wasn't bold enough in trying to assert order. Is Starmer making the same mistake?    In this episode, Jason and Alex discuss what will happen to the ongoing legal cases against Trump, the forthcoming Trump administration's attempts to disorder and dismantle American institutions and checks and balances, and the likely evolution of the Supreme Court. Algunas municipalidades tienen una deuda enorme con el Instituto Nacional de Electrificación, principalmente la municipalidad de Quetzaltenango que está bajo la administración de Juan Fernando López. La deuda asciende a 3,500 millones de quetzales de los cuales la Municipalidad de Xela es de 1,500 millones de quetzales y la deuda sigue creciendo. ¿Será que el congreso con la presión de la ANAM liderada por Sebatián Siero logrará aprobar esta exoneración de la deuda con el INDE?

En este episodio Luis Miguel Reyes realiza dos entrevistas. En la primera le damos continuidad a la entrevista con Nino Matute, pero esta vez conversamos con la oposición adentro del concejo municipal de Xela. Marco Chávez, concejal sexto y Sergio Monzón, concejal suplente, electos por el comité cívico SBX (Sacándole Brillo a Xela) fueron noticia esta semana por haber incomodado al resto del concejo municipal puesto que, desde su rol como oposición, han hecho un esfuerzo por transparentar las sesiones del concejo y por generar procesos de fiscalización. Esto ha repercutido en intimidaciones, amenazas, trabas burocráticas, entre otros obstáculos. En la segunda parte conversamos con Jorge Rosales, presidente de la Asociación de Gimnasia y miembro de la Asamblea Nacional del Deporte. Nos cuenta cuáles son las causas detrás de la suspensión de Guatemala por el Comité Olímpico Internacional, lo que impide que los atletas nacionales no puedan representar al país en eventos olímpicos, y qué posibles soluciones se divisan en el horizonte.

To talk about that, Amy and Holland invited Dr. Tom LeGrand, a former sports podcaster, and Brendan Scott, an English teacher and a coach, to the table.  Dr. Tom LeGrand serves as the Regional Director Carolinas for Impact America. Tom also has experience in radio broadcasting, podcasting, and writing. From 2010-2012, Tom co-hosted The Lettermen's Lounge, a sports podcast that covered local, national and international athletics. It is a subsidiary of Jungle Gem Sports, LLC. Brendan Scott earned a degree in English from the University of Colorado and then traveled to Guatemala where he taught writing, English, and physical education for three years at the Inter-American School of Xela. After returning to the U.S., Brendan earned a master's degree in English Education at Regis University and began teaching high school English. He also coaches the women's basketball and cross-country teams at Jefferson High School. Brendan recently married April, a librarian, after proposing to her on a trip to Harry Potter World.
