Rocky (12) and Mickey (10) are back with Eric Kress and Jen Donahoe for the annual TWIG Jr segment, bringing unfiltered Gen Alpha opinions on everything from Roblox to the Switch 2. The kids don't hold back: hypercasual games are "mindless slop," Steal a Brain Rot is "ruining America," and Fortnite is running out of collabs. They break down what's actually hot at school (Clash Royale in the carpool line), why Grow a Garden faded, and make predictions for 2026.The conversation takes a sharp turn when Eric asks if they've heard of PrizePicks. Turns out, after watching four football games in a day, these kids can rattle off gambling brands like pros. They don't know what the apps actually do, but they've definitely seen the ads. In early 2025 KFC released a disturbing commercial featuring references to witchcraft, cults, cannibalism and ritual baptisms. In December 2025, McDonald's released a disturbing commercial made with AI. The ad showed how terrible cooking, family, and Christmas really are, prompting viewers to visit McDonalds instead. Coca-cola, on the other hand, released an AI commercial for Christmas focusing on nostalgic imagery of Christmas and Santa, alongside baby animals. The question is, does a Coca-Cola commercial made with AI, but embodying positive holy day spirit, fair better than a commercial with real humans and a little CG, but one focused on cannibalism and essentially mocking religion? *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. Are celebrities oversharing about their splits? Nicole Kidman's keeping it classic - sending us subliminal messages through clothes (see: revenge dress). Lily Allen is being extremely 2025 by putting her Notes-app confessions to music. But why are we being kept so clearly in the loop of some very private business? Welcome to a slightly unhinged conspiracy theory about the strategic advantage of spilling divorce tea and yes, it involves real estate. Also, is cutting out friendships the ultimate life hack? Some of the trad wives certainly think so, saying they've given birth to and married the only friends they need. And there are some Australian workplaces having some particularly awkward meetings today - the schools that set the wrong subject for the HSC exam, and... the BOM. What colour is drizzle, anyway? Plus, some scurrilous gossip about a chaotic new couple. On today's show, Jessie Stephens, Holly Wainwright and Amelia Lester unpack it all. Today, I explain why everything will hinge on our ability to cut spending for real and to hold the line on immigration. There is growing concern that the GOP, led by industry lobbyists, is planning to preserve major parts of Biden's Green New Deal. Unless Trump leans in against these RINOs and is willing to buck his own donors, we will not cut spending, reduce inflation, and succeed in general. I call on Trump to push a reconciliation bill that not only contains tax and regulatory cuts but full elimination of a number of government programs plus a reduction in foreign workers. Unfortunately, many of his donors are pushing for an increase in already high levels of immigration. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
