    Longhorn Locker Room Gets Personalized Displays

    The University of Texas spent $7 million on their Longhorn locker room renovation, and a fair share of that went to digital signage implementation. The locker room is fitted with more than 100 Samsung displays and motivating content pertaining to each player’s personality and stats. The displays are powered by the EngagePHD software from Ping HD, and this project is a perfect example of blending digital into the physical space to create unique experiences.     Los Angeles is one of the biggest and most infamous cities in America, attracting millions of people each year. The downtown area has become a premier spot for shopping and nightlife with focal points like the Staple Center, LA Live and now the Circa LA towers.     The New One Times Square

    The iconic One Times Square building sits at the busiest corner of New York City, and is historically known for being home to The New York Times. Originally constructed in 1904, the goal was to renovate and update the site, so building owners Jamestown LP partnered with Samsung to reinvent the outdoor displays that have been the focal point of Time Square for years.     Liberty for All

    The Statue of Liberty National Monument is an instantly recognizable symbol of freedom, and in May of this year, the new Statue of Liberty Museum opened its doors to the public for the first time. More than 4 million people visit the site each year, and now each guest can experience Lady Liberty as an immersive theater, artifact gallery and interactive kiosk exhibit thanks to the team at ESI Design.     TransLink is Vancouver’s public transportation network, and it’s responsible for all regional public transportation, major roads and bridges.  This year, TransLink deployed their first state-of-the-art commuter information kiosk in partnership with iGotcha Media and Lamar Advertising. Each kiosk provides real-time data along with wayfinding and more, improving the commuter experience and allowing travelers to plan their trips ahead of time.     The Art of Painting with Digital Signage

    The Thomas Cole House is a National Historic site found between the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains. The entire landscape embodies the vibrant style and presence of painter Thomas Cole, a major 19th-century English American voice and founder of the Hudson River School, and the site has recently embraced digitization and projection mapping from Second Story to breathe new life into the work for a new generation. The Thomas Cole home is split into two parlors.  The East parlor now greets visitors with a large-scale projection presentation in which guests have an opportunity to experience all of Cole's work. In the West parlor, each guest is able to inhabit the space in Thomas Cole himself would host houseguests and discuss his creations. On this episode, Second Story's Technical Director Matt Arnold joins us to share how their team curated the projections within the Thomas Cole House and tastefully hid the technology in order to showcase the value of the paintings themselves.     Pink Fish Restaurant’s Digital Signage Ecosystem

    Charlotte Douglas International Airport – Turning Data into New Airport Experiences

    Bringing History to Life with Projection Technology

    The Pueblo of Acoma is about 60 miles west of Albuquerque and is one of the oldest communities in the United States. With the goal of highlighting the community and the unique tradition of Pueblo pottery, the University of New Mexico teamed up with creative company Ideum to achieve the objective via new and emerging projection mapping technology. In partnership with Clarence Cruz, who is an instructor at the University of New Mexico, and Acoma artist Michelle Lowden, the Pueblo Pottery project was born, and there is now a dedicated space at the school for larger-than-life pottery with projected Pueblo designs.     In rolling out the Samsung Galaxy S9, the Samsung team looked to Vistar Media for a Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) campaign that would target large groups.     The 900 Michigan Shops mall has been around since 1989, with luxury brands filling the large space in the middle of Chicago's Magnificent Mile. The team at 900 Michigan Shops wanted to add new and inviting technology that would bring the building into the digital age without sacrificing the original structure. Partnering with ESI Design led to an extravagant deployment featuring 190 feet of LED within the building’s ceiling, illuminating fixtures at the portal entrance and more.     Stolen Heart Exhibition Outlines History with Projection Mapping

    The Leo Baeck Institute in New York is dedicated to the history of German-speaking Jews. Inside the institute, there is a small but powerful exhibit called “Stolen Heart: The Theft of Jewish Property in Berlin’s Historic Center, 1933–1945.” The exhibition and three-dimensional projection map designed by C&G Partners tracks the theft of Jewish homes and businesses by the Nazis during the Third Reich in Berlin. C&G Partners worked closely with the Leo Baeck Institute on this project and chose BrightSign 4K media players to bring the history into a clear perspective for each visitor.     Digital Artwork Reflects Chicago’s River North Neighborhood

    515 North State Street was designed in the 1990s by Pritzker Prize–winning Japanese architect Kenzo Tange, who topped the building with a four-story “sky-window” that became a defining element of the Chicago skyline. The building features bold, angular architecture and a striking lobby, but lacked warmth, intimacy and the wow-factor that attracts tenants, so a digital media installation was commissioned by Beacon Capital Partners. ESI Design was one of the companies chosen to collaborate on this lobby renovation, and their solution utilizes custom software to create abstract color compositions on an LED wall that actually mimic and reflect on the happenings of daily life just outside in Chicago’s bustling River North neighborhood.     The Wilshire Grand Center is a 73-story skyscraper in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. With three distinct digital display systems in place, the building is now known as an iconic landmark and serves as a beacon for all with more than 13,000 linear feet of modular lighting and 220 unique fixture length variations along the building.  StandardVision partnered with many contractors on the construction process to develop what is now the largest building west of the Mississippi River.     State-of-the-Art Digital Technology at Sports Experts Flagship Store

    Sports Experts, the largest sports shop banner in Quebec, recently grew its Downtown Montreal location from a 40,000-square-foot space to a 60,000-square-foot space that now houses the latest technologies dedicated to the field of retail business. Thanks to help from Stingray Business, the renovated store now includes interactive mirrors, wayfinding, and most importantly, a 10-foot by 17-foot LED shoe wall that helps customers pick out the perfect fit. The transformation of the Downtown Montreal Sports Experts location into a flagship digital destination has increased in-store traffic and sales volume as well as the average purchase amount.     Pier 17: A New Digital Media Network

    The South Side Seaport is a historic area in lower Manhattan and home to one of the best views of the East River. With the new addition of Pier 17, a four-story building designed by SHoP Architects, the historic Seaport just became even more of a destination. The Pier’s two-story atrium is one of the main arteries to the rooftop, a 1.5-acre terrace that features restaurants, outdoor bars, a venue for concerts, and more than 2,000 square feet of outdoor LEDs. The Howard Hughes Corporation worked closely with New York’s own ANC on this project. Driven by ANC’s LiveSync operating system, the displays in the network will be able to feature individual content or synchronize together to act as one canvas across the different locations.     The Lantern Tower: A Transparent LED Rejuvenation Project

    The centerpiece of Ottawa’s National Arts Centre rejuvenation is a 50-foot high transparent LED media facade launched in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary. This new landmark beacon is 80 percent transparent with 8,000 nits maximum brightness, allowing natural light to filter through while displaying distinct content during daylight and nighttime. Built with four additional 32-foot-high transparent LED light blades, content displayed can be coordinated to create uniquely aesthetic digital experiences.     The Holodomor Mobile Classroom Tour is a converted rock tour bus in which high school students from across North America now learn about the Ukrainian Genocide. Thanks to the immersive and interactive digital design makeover, students have new ways to make a personal connection with each lesson.     The TCL Chinese Theater originally opened its doors in 1927, and the grand opening is known for hosting the most thrilling theater opening in motion picture history. The theater has always been one of Hollywood’s biggest attractions on the Walk of Fame, and thanks to a permanent projection mapping project dubbed “Hollywood Lights,” which launched on the theater’s 90th anniversary, the historic L.A. landmark is finding new audiences after nightfall. At sundown, four-minute shows begin in celebration of Hollywood's most iconic films and continue through the night every 20 minutes.  Christie Digital, a leader in delivering visual and audio experiences, was selected to develop this digital media project along with the TCL Chinese Theater.     The Public Art of “As We Are” at The Columbus Convention Center

    The “As We Are” Digital Sculpture at the Columbus Convention Center is a dazzling 14-foot human head housing a photo booth.
