Congress Releases A Tranche Of New Epstein Related Photos

Congressional Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released a set of 19 photos from a larger trove of over 95,000 images obtained from Jeffrey Epstein's estate, aiming to shed light on his social connections. The photos include well-known figures such as President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Steve Bannon, Larry Summers, Woody Allen, and Prince Andrew, often shown in social settings with Epstein or others; some images show Trump with unidentified women whose faces are redacted and others depict social scenes on jets or at events. None of the released photos directly show criminal acts, and their context and dates are not provided, but Democrats argue they raise important questions about Epstein's associations with powerful individuals and call for fuller transparency as part of a broader investigation. The release is part of an ongoing effort by lawmakers to review and make public materials from Epstein's estate and related government files. The photo release has quickly become political: **House Democrats say the images underscore a need to end what they call a “cover-up” and demand that the Department of Justice release the full set of Epstein files under the recently passed Epstein Files Transparency Act, which requires federal release of related documents by a mid-December deadline. Republicans and White House officials have criticized the release as selective and politically motivated, accusing Democrats of cherry-picking photos to create a narrative rather than present an objective record, and emphasizing that the photos do not demonstrate wrongdoing by anyone pictured. The disclosures have reignited public debate over Epstein's network and the extent of powerful people's associations with him, even as broader document releases and further image batches are expected in the coming weeks.to contact me:Disturbing photo on Epstein's desk sparks horror over 'incapacitated young girl passed out on couch' | Daily Mail OnlineBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Congressional Democrats want answers from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency https://cyberscoop.com/cisa-credential-leak-congress-demands-answers/ on GitHub in an incident that the security researcher who discovered it called one of the worst leaks he's ever seen. Other security professionals also voiced concern Tuesday about the leak and the potential for abuse by any malicious parties who got a hold of the information. Security firm GitGuardian said it discovered a public GitHub repository last week that exposed credentials for privileged AWS GovCloud accounts and internal CISA systems dating back to November. The repository, apparently maintained by a contractor, was named “Private-CISA.” Krebs on Security first reported the incident. A GitGuardian researcher said his main fear upon verifying the leak was real “is that a state actor will get the data and might be able to do bad stuff.” State-based attackers who obtained the credentials “might be able to gain persistence,” the researcher said, calling it worse than an attacker destroying a database or having an intruder gain access to a government system. The Office of Personnel Management would get a better handle on the federal biotechnology workforce under a pair of bills from a bipartisan House duo. Introduced Wednesday, the Federal Biotechnology Workforce Assessment Act directs OPM to coordinate with agency heads on defining the federal biotech workforce, in addition to assessing current and future needs for those “bio-literate” federal employees. The bill from Reps. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., and Rich McCormick, R-Ga., shared first with FedScoop, is aimed at ensuring the federal government workforce keeps the country a step ahead of China in the biotech space. Priority No. 1 for OPM's assessment is identifying the total number of biotech positions required at federal agencies. The legislation is focused specifically on the departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Interior, State, and Treasury, as well as the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Science Foundation, NASA, and the offices of the Director of National Intelligence and the U.S. Trade Representative.

JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN FOR THIS WEEK'S PODCAST @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking which drops today May 1!CH-CH-CH-CH-CHANGES, TURN & FACE THE STRANGE CH-CH-CHANGES We know all Full Moons are when the Moon casts the light of the Sun directly back onto itself, thus revealing to the Sun its archetypal shadow side. In this case, today's May 1 Scorpio Full Moon, which occurs when the 11'21” Scorpio Moon exact opposes the 11'21” Taurus Sun at 10:23 am PT & 1:23 pm ET on May 1, we're being advised to let go of Taurus's archetypal shadows. And those revolve around our tendency to stay stuck in the past, as the Venus-ruled Taurus's shadow is known to be its stubborn resistance to change, & its attachment to its creature comforts—especially related to its value of physical & material resources. However, let's remember first that this Scorpio Full Moon is part of this month's longer lunar cycle which began with the Aries New Moon on April 17. And that at that time both the Moon & Sun were conjoined in Aries with wounded healer Chiron & dwarf planet of chaos, strife, & discord, Eris. This told us that our monthly mission was to plant seeds that lead to healing our wounded Aries energy. This podcast touches on how a wounded Mars-ruled Aries shadow is that it looks a lot like Libra archetypal energy: Indecisive &/or passive aggressive. This has clearly played out in American politics given the fact that by the first quarter lunar square of the Leo Moon to the Taurus Sun on April 23--just after the Venus/Uranus conjunction at 29'59” Taurus—Congress was still in limbo concerning funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS.)No surprise then, that as we approached this Scorpio Full Moon, the House finally let go of its stubborn resistance & passed the Senate's March version of this funding bill—which excludes funding ICE & CBP—on April 30. It was the stubbornness of both sides of the aisle that left TSA, FEMA, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Secret Service, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) unfunded for 76 days since February 14. Perhaps it's no coincidence that Saturn had reentered Mars-ruled Aries February 13, indicating the kind of “banging one's head against the wall” frustration felt by both Congressional Democrats & Republicans since. Now the GOP majority-ruled Congress still has to take up a separate reconciliation bill to pass any funding for ICE & CBP, which Democrats vehemently oppose without some major changes to those agencies. This is one example of the Scorpio Full Moon's waxing influence on moving the nation out of limbo and into some kind of motivated action--the wound highlighted at the Aries New Moon conjunct Chiron & Eris. However, we've still got a long way to go when it comes to the U.S./Israeli waged war on Iran, as Congress continues to waffle on passing the War Powers Resolution Act codifying President Trump's ability to wage war without Congressional consent. This Act, passed in 1973 as a direct result of then President Richard Nixon's U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War without congressional approval—& despite many Americans' opposition—illustrates the resistance of this Administration to adhering to both past law & the will of the people.SUPREME COURT GUTS VOTING RIGHTS ACT, RETURNING US TO VALUES OF THE PAST But first, America has an even bigger internal problem that's related to its elections. On April 29, the Supreme Court took a step backward leaving us stuck in values of the past (Taurus Sun) that have already been proven not only unfair but that also position the U.S. even more firmly against the natural evolutionary process (Scorpio Moon.)And the latter is exactly what this Scorpio Full Moon is trying to tell us: That resisting change—by returning us to the values of the past such as the days of Jim Crow—is directly anathema to adapting to society's more evolved values now.The negative side of Taurus doesn't like change because it values its creature comforts. This archetype sees no benefit in changing its current way of life—where the American population is majority white—to accept adapting to the evolutionary trajectory it's on now given the more recent changes in population statistics. This podcast explores how the U.S. Census Bureau—between 2010 & now—has changed its definition of “white” & thus relegated a shift in categorizing more of the Hispanic & Latino population as “non-white.”A large part of what this Scorpio Full Moon is trying to tell us here—given that the Supreme Court has now struck down any state electoral maps that insure that black & minority majority districts have fair representation—is that this impedes U.S. adaptation to Pluto-ruled Scorpio's desire for change.PLUTO'S STATION RETROGRADE MAY 6 DREDGES UP ESSENTIAL TRUTHS THAT PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE SOULPluto's retrograde station occurs at 5'31” Aquarius on May 6 when the god of the underworld will plumb the depths of our subconscious from then until he's once again direct at 3'04” Aquarius on October 15.Pluto transits make it impossible not to be honest, as Jungian astrologer Erin Sullivan explains in her book “Planetary Retrogrades, Traversing the Inner Landscape.” It's there she notes that “Plutonian veracity has little to do with day-to-day honesty, but deals only with essential truth, life & death matters, the kind of truth that preserves the integrity of the soul. “It is part of the contract with Pluto, it seems” Sullivan continues, “that if one faces oneself willingly & unflinchingly, the reward is an unshakable integrity.“When Pluto undergoes its retrograde cycles”—particularly if it repeats its contact with a natal planet or angle—“it dredges deeper & deeper into the resources of the unconscious, bringing to light the most secluded aspects of one's inner nature. “The process of loosening firmly entrenched & potentially annihilating characteristics in the depth of the psyche is active primarily during the retrograde period,” says Sullivan. It's in the “rest phase of the transit [that] we relax the hold on the repressive function & allow transformation to occur,” she explains. When Pluto's retrograde is part of a transit to a specific point in the natal chart, “poisonous aspects of oneself gather together silently & secretly, to emerge for elimination at the direct cycles,” she concludes. That makes this next six month period the perfect time to take Sullivan's advice as the U.S. undergoes the longer-term evolutionary changes inherent in the already triggered U.S. Pluto return.PLUTO RETROGRADE PLUS URANUS NOW IN GEMINI UNTIL 2033: RESISTANCE TO CHANGE IS FUTILEWhat's become clear now at this Scorpio Full Moon lunation, which is the apex of the Aries New Moon monthly cycle begun on April 17, is that there can be no indecisiveness when it comes to the evolutionary process of adaptation to long-term change. This podcast quotes astrologer Lynn Bell's OPA article titled “The Wake Up Call” which describes the longer term potential for change given Uranus's recent reentrance into Gemini from April 25 until 2033.Given the recent Supreme Court mandated shift in policy related to U.S. voting rights, it seems clear that what we need to wake up to now is how we must fight the overturning & denial of changes made by this nation since its inception. Uranus (change) in Gemini—which represents “siblings” & local neighborhood & community environment, among other things--has already brought sudden change to our local areas through the Trump Administration's harsh racist tactics designed to purge this nation of those it deems “foreigners.” Many of whom are our family members, neighbors, employees, & coworkers. This is on top of the fact that the Supreme Court already ruled that women are not equal to men in terms of bodily autonomy in its infamous Dobbs decision four years ago already since June 24, 2022. This thus returned us to the misogyny of the original Constitution's “all men”—but not all women—are created equal, in clear disregard for society's gladly accepted changed values since.Meanwhile, Pluto's shorter retrograde in Aquarius now until October asks us to explore the deeper more unconscious nature of topics like prejudice in this country—including racism against anyone who's not white, male, or Christian, at least the way things are going now…Together, they ask us to awaken to the sad truth that the U.S.—rather than evolving in a forward thinking, all inclusive, progressively humanitarian direction--prefers to keep in power those wedded to America's racist, misogynist, & gender discriminatory past. We're already seeing glimmers of the answer to questions like: “How's that been workin' for you so far?” through the current policies of an Administration that takes us to war for inexplicable reasons & that ignores its negative impact on the daily decline in health & well-being of its own citizens.Resistance to this may well awaken another Uranus in Gemini historical association, which is to that of war. As American states become increasingly gerrymandered now due to this week's Supreme Court decision--as is already happening in places like Louisiana & Florida--the pending political, ethical, & moral split in values will become increasingly obvious. The upshot is the message that it's now up to us. Meaning the people who--when we work together in groups exhibit much greater power than those who currently hold those reigns—can achieve the kind of evolutionary progress the heavenly bodies are waking us up to now...Join us for more Astro News You Can Use on all this & more today at https://www.karmicevoluti

That's where he developed his super power – giving his audience exactly what they want, and feeding some of their worst impulses again and again under the glossy veneer of respectability. New Yorker staff writer Jason Zengerle first met Carlson back in the 1990s and has been following his career ever since. His new book, "Hated by All the Right People: Tucker Carlson and the Unraveling of the Conservative Mind," examines Carlson's evolution and the media's. We spoke with Zengerle about Carlson's past and what his shifting priorities reveal about American politics. And in headlines, the House narrowly passes a spending bill to end the partial government shutdown, Renee Good's brothers testify before Congressional Democrats, and a U.S. fighter jet shoots down an Iranian drone.Show Notes: Check out Hated by All the Right People: Tucker Carlson and the Unraveling of the Conservative Mind Call Congress – 202-224-3121 Subscribe to the What A Day Newsletter – https://tinyurl.com/3kk4nyz8 What A Day – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@whatadaypodcast Follow us on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/crookedmedia/ For a transcript of this episode, please visit crooked.com/whataday

We will never allow extremists to whitewash their treachery." Two closely watched surveys of U.S. manufacturing activity painted sharply divergent pictures in November, with one showing continued expansion and the other reporting accelerating contraction, highlighting deep uncertainty about the sector's health amid ongoing adjustment to the new rules of global trade. The S&P Global U.S. Manufacturing PMI registered 52.2 in November, marking the fourth consecutive month above the 50 threshold that separates expansion from contraction. However, the reading slipped from 52.5 in October. By contrast, the ISM Manufacturing PMI fell to 48.2, down from 48.7 in October and marking the ninth consecutive month of contraction. The divergence places the two surveys on opposite sides of the expansion-contraction divide, an unusual occurrence that suggests significantly different conditions across the manufacturing landscape. https://twitter.com/ShadowofEzra/status/1995904464625000594?s=20   the national debt. Honduras and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, once reliable partners for Caracas, have both elected new governments that pledged to distance themselves from Maduro.  Honduras   Argentina, Ecuador, El Salvador, and Bolivia have also deteriorated as those countries shifted to the right. Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, both U.S. territories, have seen a renewed military buildup, with fighter jets and transport aircraft operating from Cold War-era facilities such as Roosevelt Roads and new activity at St. Croix's airport. Grenada is considering a U.S. request to host temporary radar equipment and personnel at Maurice Bishop International Airport. The government is still weighing technical and safety concerns, and the decision is complicated by the 1983 U.S. invasion and the airport's symbolic significance. Colombia remains the strongest partner, working closely with the United States on counter-narcotics, sanctions enforcement, and intelligence sharing, while also coordinating policy on the region's largest population of Venezuelan refugees. Paraguay and Uruguay consistently vote with Washington at the OAS to isolate Maduro and support democratic transition efforts. According to the Center for American Progress, the Trump family has received nearly $2 billion in cash and gifts since President Trump won the 2024 presidential election. This week, during Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to the White House, the president downplayed his family's dealings in Saudi Arabia, but the reality is that those business ties have grown significantly during his second term. Then, Ralph speaks to Dani Noble from Jewish Voice for Peace about their BDS campaigns, efforts to block weapons shipments to Israel, and the state of the ceasefire in Gaza. Finally, Ralph speaks to original Nader's Raider Sam Simon about his new memoir, “Dementia Man: An Existential Journey.”David Dayen is the executive editor of the American Prospect, an independent political magazine that aims to advance liberal and progressive goals through reporting, analysis and debate. His work has appeared in the Intercept, HuffPost, the Washington Post, and more. He is the author of Chain of Title: How Three Ordinary Americans Uncovered Wall Street's Great Foreclosure Fraud and Monopolized: Life in the Age of Corporate Power. If Congress is saying: We have the power of the purse, and we have the ability to dictate to the President what he is able to do or not do with federal funding, then why not go the whole way? To me, that was the entire purpose of the shutdown— to stop the President from ignoring Congress and initiating his own prerogatives as it relates to government funding. It is really making Congress completely irrelevant in the process which they constitutionally are supposed to dictate.David DayenEvery time Trump has been in power and there's been a national election, he's lost it. He lost the midterm elections in 2018. He lost the presidential election in 2020. He lost the off-year elections in 2017 and 2019. He lost (just last week) the elections in 2025. He is not equipped to have an agenda that appeals to the American people when he's in power. And so I firmly agree that Democrats are likely to do well in the elections next year, as they just did. The one thing that can stop that is: completely punching your base in the face, after you succeed politically in backing Republicans into a corner.David DayenDani Noble is a Strategic Campaigns Organizer at Jewish Voice for Peace.Israel bonds (which very few people know much about) are direct loans to the Israeli military and government. They are unrestricted. They have no guardrails around what those funds can be used for, et cetera. And this is a main way that the Israeli military and government generate an unrestricted slush fund to be able to continue their genocidal assault on Gaza, to continue funding for the atrocities being committed against Palestinians—even as their government and economy suffers and/or operates with a massive deficit.Dani NobleThis bill would essentially block the Trump administration from delivering some of the deadliest weapons to Israel. So it's an essential, essential step in what we need to do fundamentally—which is a full arms embargo to stop arming the Israeli military and government…It's the most supported piece of legislation in support of Palestinian rights that we've ever seen.Dani NobleSam Simon is an author, playwright, and attorney. A sense that everything I've ever built personally—my cars, my homes, my savings—that were all going to be available as a legacy to my family, they have to be spent in my few years of my life just to keep me alive. There needs to be a community response to that—and that's shorthand for the government. It doesn't force people to go broke to stay alive.Sam SimonNews 11/14/25* This week, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released a new tranche of over 20,000 pages of documents related to infamous financier and sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein. These documents include damning emails between Epstein and various high-power individuals like Steve Bannon, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers and current U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack. However, the emails that have received the most attention are those regarding President Donald Trump. In these emails, Epstein claimed Trump “knew about the girls,” and claimed that, “i [i.e. Epstein] am the one able to take him [i.e. Trump] down.” Perhaps most shocking, Epstein claims to have been with Trump during Thanksgiving in 2017, according to NBC. If true, it would directly contradict Trump's repeated insistence that he had no contact with Epstein since their falling out in the mid 2000s, either 2004 or 2007, per PBS.* The newly released Epstein files reinforce another narrative as well: that Epstein was an asset for Israeli intelligence. Drop Site news has done excellent reporting on Epstein helping to “Broker [an] Israeli Security Agreement With Mongolia,” “Build a Backchannel to Russia Amid [the] Syrian Civil War” and “Sell a Surveillance State to Côte d'Ivoire.” Most recently the independent outlet has published an expose on Epstein's relationship with known Mossad spy Yoni Koren. According to this piece, “Epstein's personal calendars reveal that…[Koren] lived at Epstein's Manhattan apartment for multiple stretches between 2013 and 2016.” There is also evidence that Epstein wired money to Koren. However, the reasons behind this transfer, and the details of their relationship, remain murky.* More Epstein information is likely to be released in the coming days. This week, the longest ever government shutdown in American history concluded with capitulation by centrist Democrats in the Senate. However, the conclusion of the shutdown finally broke the logjam over the swearing-in of Adelita Grijalva, the newly elected Democratic Congresswoman from Arizona. Grijalva immediately fulfilled her vow to be the 218th signature on the Discharge Petition forcing a vote on the release of the Epstein files, joining all 213 other House Democrats and four Republicans, Reps. Thomas Massie, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert and Nancy Mace, per the Hill. In her first speech, Grijalva emphatically stated, “Justice cannot wait another day.” House Speaker Johnson has promised to bring the matter to a vote next week and many Republicans who did not sign the petition are expected to vote for it, with sponsors angling for a veto-proof majority. At that point, all eyes will turn to the Senate.* Even still, the Democrats blinking in the government shutdown showdown has infuriated many members of Congress, candidates and Democratic-aligned organizations, who are now calling for Chuck Schumer to step aside as Senate Minority Leader. Journalist Prem Thakker is keeping a running tally of these calls, which so far includes 12 Congressional Democrats – with major names like Pramila Jayapal, Mark Pocan, Rashida Tlaib, and Ro Khanna among them – along with candidates like Seth Moulton, Mallory McMorrow, Saikat Chakrabarti and Graham Platner. Beyond these individuals however, this call has been echoed by groups ranging from Our Revolution to Social Security Works to College Democrats of America, among many others.* Moving to economic matters, one other consequence of the protracted government shutdown is that the Bureau of Labor Statistics was “largely idle,” meaning it did not collect the crucial fiscal information it is responsible for gathering, including October jobs numbers and Consumer Price Index changes. According to POLITICO, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said this information is unlikely to ever be released. She of course blamed that on the opposition in Congress, saying “Democrats may have permanently damaged the federal statistical system.” This is somewhat laughable, as the Trump administration has all but gone to war with the economic data collection functions of the federal government whenever that data has made him look bad.* Another bad sign for the economy in general, and for consumers in particular, is the rise of what are generously called “Flex Loans.” A new investigation by ProPublica in partnership with the Tennessee Lookout, examines the rise of this new strain of ultra-high-interest loan, with annual interest rates as high as 279.5%. This, combined with a lending cap of $4,000 – nine times higher than a traditional payday loan – has led to Advance Financial, the leading lender in Tennessee, suing over 110,000 people across the state since 2015. According to the data, judgments against consumers usually end up in the thousands, and 40% result in garnished wages. Loans of this variety were illegal before 2015, but the Tennessee legislature allowed them through and while the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has sought to protect financial services consumers from these types of predatory lending schemes, the Trump administration's attempts to kneecap the agency have rendered it powerless.* Meanwhile, a dearth of consumer protections is yielding horrific consequences in a completely different area: AI. A new CNN report details how ChatGPT encouraged a Texas 23-year-old, Zane Shamblin, to kill himself. In heart-wrenching detail, this story paints a picture of Shamblin on the edge of suicide, and the AI chatbot helping to push him towards death. As Shamblin held a gun to his own head, the bot wrote, “You're not rushing. You're just ready,” later adding, “Rest easy, king…You did good.” According to this piece, the chatbot “repeatedly encouraged [Shamblin] as he discussed ending his life” for months, and “right up to his last moments.” Shamblin's parents are now suing ChatGPT's parent company, OpenAI, alleging the company endangered their son's life by, “tweaking its design last year to be more humanlike and by failing to put enough safeguards on interactions with users in need of emergency help.” The victim's mother, Alicia Shamblin, is quoted saying, “I feel like it's just going to destroy so many lives. It's going to be a family annihilator. It tells you everything you want to hear.”* In more positive consumer protection news, former Biden FTC Chair Lina Khan has hit the ground running in her new role helping to manage the transition for New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani. Per Semafor, Khan has been “scouring city and state laws — some overlooked by past mayors and some too new to have been tested yet — for legal footing for Mamdani's priorities.” Apparently, “Khan has privately discussed targeting hospitals that bill patients for painkillers available more cheaply at corner drugstores and sports stadiums charging nosebleed prices for concessions,” and “Other avenues for enforcement include a new state law that requires companies to tell customers when they are using algorithmic pricing. The law took effect this week, forcing Uber and DoorDash to start disclosing, but the incoming Mamdani administration plans to police laggards.” In short, it seems like the incoming Mamdani administration will use any and all legal and administrative means at their disposal to bring down costs for New Yorkers – as he promised again and again during the campaign. And, if there is one consumer regulator who can accomplish this, it is Ms. Khan.* Turning to Hollywood, Variety has published a major new piece on newly-minted Paramount CEO David Ellison's first 100 days. This piece covers everything from his attempts to curry favor with President Trump to the battle to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery. Buried within this story is an indication that “Paramount maintains a list of talent it will not work with because they are deemed to be ‘overtly antisemitic.'” The criteria for this modern blacklist however is opaque, especially troubling given that Ellison has deputized Bari Weiss – an ardent Zionist and censor of pro-Palestine speech – as the “Editor-in-chief” of CBS News. According to Drop Site, the studio “recently condemned a filmmakers' boycott of Israeli institutions signed by Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Tilda Swinton, Javier Bardem, and Olivia Colman, among more than 4,000 others, declaring that Israel is carrying out genocide and apartheid.” Would Ellison blacklist these stars for “overt antisemitism”?* Finally, for some good news, the Economist is out with a stunning article on the success of China's transition to renewable energy. In the much-quoted opening paragraph, this piece reads “The SCALE of the renewables revolution in China is almost too vast for the human mind to grasp. By the end of last year, the country had installed 887 gigawatts of solar-power capacity—close to double Europe's and America's combined total. The 22m tonnes of steel used to build new wind turbines and solar panels in 2024 would have been enough to build a Golden Gate Bridge on every working day of every week that year. China generated 1,826 terawatt-hours of wind and solar electricity in 2024, five times more than the energy contained in all 600 of its nuclear weapons.” If that doesn't demonstrate the horizon of what is possible, given the requisite political will and determination, I don't know what will. This has been Francesco DeSantis, with In Case You Haven't Heard.
