Graham says that we have to push all the nominees through to protect the country, which is a complete lie, as Farron Cousins explains. Donald Trump is back to hating on windmills again for some bizarre reason. In a post on Truth Social, Trump once again attacked the renewable energy and our allies in the UK by saying that they are making a "huge mistake" by investing in windmills in the North Sea instead of oil drilling. Jordan has been on a media blitz begging for the House Ethics report into Matt Gaetz to remain secret so that Gaetz still has a shot at becoming the Attorney General. Donald Trump is waiting until he gets back into office to seek retribution, as he's already going after media outlets that hurt his feelings over the past few years. Trump's lawyers have filed off several "demand letters" to media outlets claiming that they have to pay him $10 BILLION for their alleged "false" coverage of him during the campaign. They claim that he shouldn't have to sit in prison as he appeals his conviction, but that argument has already been ruled on by a judge. There's a much better explanation as to why Bannon suddenly wants out, and it has everything to do with Trump's campaign going down the toilet.Also, it appears that Donald Trump has, at least for the moment, lost yet another supporter - and this time it is a high profile supporter who actually spoke at his convention. Lila Rose told Politico last week that she would not be voting for Trump now (though that could change) due to his recent statement that he would NOT support a national ban on abortion. Other Trump supporters have also been furious about this decision, and it could cost Trump big time.And J.D. Vance just can't seem to get things right, and during a speech last week to a group of Boston Firefighters, Vance was booed consistently throughout the speech. Donald Trump went crying to reporters after a bad day in court on Monday, and he whined about the fact that the judge has set a firm date of April 15th for his hush money trial. This came after Trump was given a lifeline by the appeals court in his fraud trial ruling, but even that good news was overshadowed by the looming criminal trial. To make things worse, Trump's lawyers got yelled at by the judge in the hearing, which is not a good start for the trial team.Also, both CNN and MSNBC had no choice but to cut away from Donald Trump's victory speech following the reduction of his fraud trial bond on Monday because the former president would not stop lying. CNN began a brutal fact check of Trump after cutting away. This is how the media needs to be handling Donald Trump any time they cover him. They provided too much cover to him in the last two election cycles and they need to start getting it right.And Republicans in the House are experiencing a mass exodus of their members, and that has now left them with only a one seat majority (they can only afford to lose one Republican vote in any situation.)  Donald Trump's supporters, including those in Congress, have gone absolutely insane after a judge ruled Friday that he would NOT be kicking Fani Willis off the Georgia case. Trump's biggest fans have spent the past few days on social media railing against the decision and acting like they understand how the law works. They are claiming that the court is "corrupt" and that the "system is rigged," which are the usual claims they make when the law goes against them. Also, according to a bombshell new report, business associates linked to Donald Trump paid Alexander Smirnov at least $600,000 in the year 2020 - the very same year that he began lying to the FBI about the Biden family, for which Smirnov has now been indicted. The timing of the payments is sketchy, to say the least, especially considering the fact that there are no clear indications about why he was paid in the first place. Farron Cousins explains what we know, and more importantly.And right wing talker Alex Jones found himself in a bit of an odd position this past week when he posted a photo of himself on social media along with a caption that simply said "I will eat your Leftist ass."  Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz announced before the Super Bowl on Sunday that he wasn't going to allow his wife to watch the game because the game was going to feature the "Black National Anthem" before kickoff. The song, actually called "Lift Every Voice and Sing", has been performed for the past few years at the game, but Gaetz is so angered by the thought of Black people feeling empowered and inspired that he won't allow his wife to enjoy the game.Also,  Donald Trump has gone completely off the deep end at this point, and he is now trying to take credit for Taylor Swift becoming one of the biggest artists of all time. In a Truth Social post on Sunday, Trump attacked Swift by claiming that a bill he signed is what made her "so much money," and he then said that she would be being "disloyal" to him if she endorsed President Biden. Trump has had in it for Swift since 2018 when she endorsed candidates running against his friends, but he's completely delusional if he thinks he had anything to do with her success.And thanks to the Special Prosecutor's report, President Biden's mental fitness has been called into question over the past few days. And while there are reasons to be concerned about Biden, they don't stack up against the mental problems that Donald Trump is facing. The defamation trial against Donald Trump was delayed earlier this week after one juror fell ill and Alina Habba reported having a fever after being exposed to Covid. However, this alleged illness didn't stop Habba from partying with the Trump campaign in New Hampshire on Tuesday evening - just 24 hours after she was allegedly too ill to perform in court. Habba's actions are certainly going to come up in court, and could be used to convince a jury that she isn't trustworthy, as Farron Cousins explains. Also, Ronna McDaniel, the chair of the Republican National Committee, is now calling on Nikki Haley to drop out of the presidential race so that the Party can unite behind Donald Trump. Trump won New Hampshire on Tuesday, but Haley beat expectations and closed a 14-point gap down to about 10 points. McDaniel is a poor leader and has been since she took the job, and her idea of uniting behind Trump would be a disaster for the Republican Party.And the House Ethics Committee has contacted more witnesses for testimony and evidence against Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz, and Gaetz isn't taking this new development lightly. Gaetz lashed out at the Committee and tried to deflect from his own problems by bringing up the fact that there are members of Congress who are clearly engaging in insider trading. While insider trading is obviously bad, it isn't nearly as bad as what Gaetz has been accused of doing.Finally, Marjorie Taylor Greene is apparently a little over-excited about the New Hampshire primary results, and she proudly proclaimed that Trump is now THE GUY for the GOP this year. But she didn't just celebrate Trump's mediocre victory, she also issued a threat to the entire Republican Party. Donald Trump's lawyers tried to get an expedited hearing so that they could fight the reinstated gag order at the New York state Supreme Court, but the lawyers made several blunders that prevented this from happening. To start with, the judge let them know that they actually waited too long to file the motion since the appellate court ruled on it three days ago (5 if you count the weekend.) They made several other procedural errors that hurt them, and their incompetence is taking a toll on their client.Also, former Trump ally turned critic Liz Cheney offered up a bleak and terrifying scenario for what happens if Trump gets back into the White House after next year's election. According to Cheney, Trump will NOT leave office after the end of his second term, echoing a sentiment that we've been expressing for over a year. Trump's allies are setting up a government system that will protect him if he tries to make himself the dictator of the US, and Farron Cousins explains what's at stake in next year's election. And Rudy Giuliani is trying to weasel out of a defamation lawsuit against him in the dumbest way possible. Giuliani was sued by two Georgia election workers, and the judge already issued a pre-trial judgment against Giuliani finding him liable and ordering him to pay the legal fees of the women. Knowing this, Giuliani filed a motion requesting that the jury trial be scrapped, but the judge shot that down as "nonsense" because she knew EXACTLY what Giuliani was trying to do.Finally, Donald Trump has come up with a brand new excuse for his constant mental blunders, and this one is quite a doozy. After The Lincoln Project put out a new ad titled "Feeble" that showed various clips of Trump making mistakes during his speeches, the former President lashed out at the group and claimed that the clips were created using artificial intelligence. This is how Trump will now react to any video showing him doing or saying something stupid.

But online media has also benefited from his existence, and the Right has even mockingly asked liberals what they'll talk about when Trump is gone. Luckily there is never a shortage of Republican stupidity, and Farron explains why Trump's absence won't slow down progressive media (when it finally happens.)And finally, Republican policies are regressive, no doubt about it. But the Republican Party of today appears to be competing with itself to see which politician can enact the most disturbing and oppressive legislation you could ever imagine. These attacks on women, immigrants, all people of color, and especially the LGBTQ community are causing people to flee red states to avoid this oppression. 

The chances of Donald Trump going to prison might be slim - even with the 91 felony charges against him - but he can rest easy knowing that he'll always have the Secret Service there to protect him if he gets locked up. Thanks to the way the law is written, Trump is guaranteed protection from the government for the rest of his life, no matter what.Also, Donald Trump has such a huge lead that the Republican primary is effectively over already, and the remaining candidates are just fighting over his scraps. But what if something happens and Trump isn't in the race anymore? Are there any candidates that can capitalize on such an opening?And Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' failing presidential campaign has been given every possible helping hand by the conservative machine, and he's still failed to deliver for them. Even in the Fox News debates, the hosts have gone exceptionally easy on him, and he still continues to fall flat with audiences. Terry Heaton was a television news executive for The Christian Broadcasting Network during the 1980s where he worked primarily on "The 700 Club". Heaton also served as one of Pat Robertson's advisers during his 1988 presidential campaign.  Terry Heaton is the author of several books including his most recent, "The Gospel of Self: How Jesus Joined the GOP". Heaton explains how right-wing Christian Evangelicals have come to worship and love Donald Trump, a man who is an unapologetic sinner. Heaton also offers insights on how there is a direct connection between the Christian Broadcasting Network and Christian Nationalists such as Pat Robertson (who ran for president in 1988) and Fox News and Donald Trump's rise to power and their taking over the Republican Party and its voters. Heaton also warns about the power and influence of Pat Robertson and his “shadow government” of right-wing Christian Evangelicals and their decades-long campaign to overthrow secular democracy in America. Chauncey DeVega reflects on this especially bizarre and unusual last week in TrumpWorld where the Great Leader proclaimed himself the Second Coming of God and King of Israel -- and also tried to buy Greenland. Chauncey offers a warning: believe Donald Trump the transparent authoritarian and American fascist as he means what he says. And Chauncey also explains how Donald Trump continues to use scripted violence and stochastic terrorism as tool to inspire violence by his supporters – this time through his anti-Semitic tweets and claims that “real Jewish people” support the Republican Party and Trump's regime.
