Nick Hodge, Co-Owner of Digest Publishing and editor of Foundational Profits and Hodge Family Office, joins us for a longer-format discussion on and the macroeconomic themes and fundamental value drivers that that are presenting catalyst-driven opportunities in select gold, silver, antimony, rare earths, lithium, and uranium stocks.   We start off reviewing the macroeconomic landscape, delving into inflation, GDP growth, effects of tariffs, coming Fed rate cuts, the prospects of stagflation versus reflation, and why the precious metals and critical minerals have continued to receive a bid all year long in this kind of backdrop.   We discuss the large rally this year and in particular the last few months in gold, silver, and the precious metals stocks, but why Nick wrote to his subscribers mid-October recommending that they trim back some of their exposure to the PM sector.   He outlined that trimming is always a nuanced discussion, and does not mean at all that he's putting a sell out on the sector or that he is no longer bullish.   It just came down to practice, procedure, and prudence for reducing down the asset allocations as they had swelled to become too large of positions in their portfolio and it was time to harvest some gains to be able to redeploy them, fitting in with his “pruning and planting” approach.     Many investors and analysts will now shift their gaze to the Q3 earnings that come in over the next few weeks, and this could be a constructive catalyst for the PM stocks overall, and bring in more generalist interest.   Next we shift over to the outsized moves to both the upside and downside in the critical minerals space.  Nick highlights how the fast-tracking of permitting using the US Fast 41 initiatives, and the government funding and partnerships with many critical minerals companies is creating its own momentum and speculation in antimony, rare earths, lithium, and uranium stocks.   This goes into many fundamental policies and initiatives from both government and industry that have been lifting the names in these sectors. He is holding onto positions through any of the current volatility, and believe that more names will pop as a flood of capital pours into such a tiny investing space.   We discuss a range of different companies used as examples of how the critical minerals have really been active including:   Perpetua Resources Corp. (Nasdaq: PPTA) (TSX: PPTA), CoTec Holdings Corp. (TSXV:CTH)(OTCQB:CTHCF), Energy Fuels Inc. (TSX: EFR) (NYSE American: UUUU), MP Materials Corp. Chris Gerteisen, CEO of Nova Minerals (ASX:NVA - NASDAQ:NVA - FSE:QM3), joins us to discuss the company's recent US$43.4 million U.S. government grant to fast-track antimony trisulfide production, a key component in munitions and clean-tech manufacturing, along with ongoing exploration and development at the Estelle Gold and Critical Minerals Project in Alaska. Key Discussion Points: $43.4M Government Grant: Funding supports Phase 1 antimony production and the development of an initial refinery in Alaska. Nova is already purchasing mining and processing equipment, with a target to begin production by mid-to-late next year. Two-Phase Development Plan: Phase 1 – Focused on surface extraction and smaller-scale production (hundreds of tons). Phase 2 – Expansion into a large-scale refinery at Port MacKenzie, scaling up to 5,000–10,000 tonnes of refined product annually. Strategic Infrastructure: 42-acre site at Port MacKenzie, a deep-water, year-round port with road and rail access, designed as a modular hub for future critical mineral refining. Drilling & Resource Definition: Antimony resource drilling underway with a second rig planned. Results will feed a mine plan and internal resource model to maintain the project's accelerated schedule. Gold Resource Strength: Estelle hosts a ~9.9Moz JORC resource (with ~5.2Moz SK-1300 pit-constrained at US$2,000/oz). Ongoing drilling at the RPM deposit is aimed at upgrading inferred ounces and completing an updated economic study in 2026. Dual Commodity Advantage: Parallel development of both gold and antimony provides diversification, strong leverage to current prices, and greater financial resilience. Near-Term News Flow: Antimony drill results, equipment procurement updates, processing plant construction milestones, and new gold assay results from Estelle and RPM. Sean Brodrick, Editor of Wealth Megatrends, Supercycle Investor, Resource Trader, and contributing analyst to Weiss Ratings Daily, joins us to outline strategies for portfolio management during the pullbacks in gold, silver, antimony, rare earths, and energy stocks.     Gold and silver are now retesting lower levels, in a corrective move that has been anticipated by many for some time.  If $4,000 support is tested and breaks, then Sean makes a case for solid technical support at $3850 and $3,700, and believes it is unlikely we'll see a move below those in the medium-term. Sean had been advising his subscribers to take partial profits in a number of precious metals stocks since October 14th. He was happy to have raised the cash to be able to redeploy it into meaningful pullbacks, which have begun since the Friday of last week and then accelerated down further on Tuesday's trading session.   He is quite interested to see how Q3 earnings season may trend starting with Newmont Corp's (NYSE: NEM, ASX: NEM) report afterhours this coming Thursday, and then filtering out into the rest of the senior and mid-tier PM producers. We discuss whether gold and silver need to keep hitting new all-time highs in the near-term to keep the momentum going in the PM stocks, or whether these stocks can actually keep making progress just based on rerating more in alignment with these higher underlying metals prices.     Next we got into the blistering rally higher that we've seen in some of the critical minerals stocks like antimony and rare earth stocks on the back of Chinese export bans sending prices skyrocketing.   He's got some exposure through United States Antimony Corp (NYSE:UAMY), and discussed their recent acquisition of another company to further grow their antimony and gold resources. Sean is also positioned in USA Rare Earth, Inc. (Nasdaq: USAR), because they have a compelling development project and domestic mine-to-magnet supply chain approach that may be able to attract some of those government funds earmarked for this sector.   Wrapping up Sean shifted over briefly to how traditional energy with the oil and gas stocks, and solar have remained in a slump, but that they may become a sector to follow, along with his ongoing interest in the next-gen defense stocks consider whether this could be a contrarian area to follow more closely in the commodities sector.   Click here to follow along with Sean's work at Weiss Ratings Daily and Wealth Megatrends   Click here to learn more about Resource Trader     For more market commentary & interview summaries, subscribe to our Substacks:   The KE Report: https://kereport.substack.com/   Shad's resource market commentary: https://excelsiorprosperity.substack.com/     Investment disclaimer: This content is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice, an offer, or a solicitation to buy or sell any security. Shooters will recognize it, as it is frequently allied with lead to make a harder, more durable alloy for cast bullets. We should note that lead-antimony alloys have many other uses, from lead-acid batteries to sailboat keels. Antimony is used in other alloys as well, such as antifriction alloys, electric cable sheathing, and type metals for printing presses, which apparently are not completely extinct yet. It's also used in flame retardants, and - this is key - in semiconductors. It's also has applications in pharmaceuticals.  a key strategic mineral. Alaska has antimony. Now, in Alaska, a company called Nova Minerals, with a grant from the War Department, has a contract to build an antimony refinery at Port MacKenzie, west of Anchorage, to process ore from the Estelle gold mine in the West Susitna Mineral District. With Pentagon backing and a goal to begin delivering Alaska-sourced antimony into U.S. supply chains by 2027, Nova Minerals Ltd. has secured a 42.8-acre site at Port MacKenzie west of Anchorage for a refinery that would process antimony concentrates from its Estelle project and other sources."This is a defining moment for Nova Minerals and for U.S. critical mineral independence," Nova Minerals CEO Christopher Gerteisen said upon securing land use permits for the industrial site about four miles from a deepwater port in Southcentral Alaska. The refinery, to be developed by Nova subsidiary Alaska Range Resources (ARR), is part of a strategy to leverage the very high-grade antimony mineralization found on the company's Estelle project about 100 miles west of Port MacKenzie to establish a domestic supply of this metalloid critical to a wide range of military and commercial applications. Antimony is also found in Idaho and Montana. But a majority of antimony production comes from countries that are not particularly friendly to the United States: China, Russia, and Tajikistan, which, between them, account for almost 80 percent of global supply. Managing Director Ron Heeks has structured a $150 million development leveraging inherited infrastructure acquired from administration, compressing what would typically require $300 million and multiple years into a capital-efficient restart. The project secured $100 million USD in bond financing and $60 million AUD equity, reflecting strong investor confidence in the operation's cash generation potential amid surging antimony prices. The Hillgrove development benefits from exceptional existing assets including 15 kilometers of underground development, a permitted processing plant, mains grid power, and proximity to Armidale, Australia's third most livable town. This infrastructure foundation enables a fully residential workforce, eliminating fly-in-fly-out costs while supporting local community integration. The 500,000-ton-per-annum processing facility will produce approximately 5,000 tons of antimony metal and 40,000 ounces of gold annually, translating to 140,000 gold-equivalent ounces with all-in sustaining costs of negative $2,000 per ounce at current metal prices.Antimony has emerged as the most critical strategic mineral following China's September 2024 export ban, with prices surging from $20,000 to over $60,000 per ton. The metal's defense applications in armor-piercing ammunition and night vision equipment, combined with solar panel manufacturing requirements, have created structural supply deficits that position Larvotto among fewer than five Western projects approaching near-term production. A strategic offtake agreement with Wogen Resources provides mine-gate pricing based on Rotterdam indices, transferring logistics complexity while maintaining full commodity price exposure. The conservative feasibility study economics modeled antimony at prices $20,000 below current levels, creating substantial margin upside that flows directly to cash generation given the byproduct credit accounting structure.Learn more: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/larvotto-resources-limitedSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Sean Brodrick – Opportunities In Gold, Rare Earths, Antimony, Uranium, and Oil Stocks

The KE Report

Recorded on October 7th, 2025:   Sean Brodrick, Editor of Wealth Megatrends and contributing analyst to Weiss Ratings Daily, joins us to outline why he still remains bullish and holding positions in gold, rare earths, antimony, uranium, and oil stocks.   Gold is now above $4,000 and we've started to see a little profit taking in the gold equities this week, and many technical indicators point to the sector starting to get overbought. Despite the many calls for a pullback, we point out that with so many people waiting on the sidelines to buy any dips, that there may not be as big of a protracted or deep correction as many have been waiting for.  Sean has been holding most of his PM positions for some time, but added a few new gold names right after attending the Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek in early September. While he's up nicely in those with his subscribers, he wishes he'd have kept buying even more throughout last month as they've continued to ratchet even higher here into the early part of October.   Next we got into the blistering rally higher that we've seen in some of the rare earth stocks on the back of Chinese export bans sending prices skyrocketing, and with the US government bringing more attention to the downstream processors with a strategic investment into MP Materials Corp. (NYSE: MP). This has really ignited a further boom in the sector where Sean wants to be invested with companies like Energy Fuels Inc. (NYSE American: UUUU); (TSX: EFR), a U.S. producer of rare earth element oxides from their mineral sands projects, and USA Rare Earth, Inc. (Nasdaq: USAR), that have a compelling development project and domestic mine-to-magnet supply chain approach that may be able to attract some of those government funds earmarked for this sector.   This brought up a larger discussion on positioning in the critical minerals sector, where another metal of focus for Sean has been in antimony.  He's got some exposure through gold companies with antimony credits, but also mentioned United States Antimony Corp (NYSE:UAMY) as a stock that has been a big winner for him and his subscribers.   US Antimony is another company that has received government funds for development of domestic critical minerals projects.    The trends higher in nuclear and uranium stocks have been another sector that Sean has been exposed to for some time, and that he feels still has a lot of potential to keep moving higher.  With regards to the uranium stocks, he is positioned in US and Canadian producers and developers, including Energy Fuels that was aforementioned.   When discussing a company we met with at the PM Summit in Beaver Creek, enCore Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: EU) (TSXV: EU), it brought the discussion to the potential for US producers to be consolidated, and if most of them were rolled into a larger entity if it would qualify as a monopoly.    Sean is not as animated by uranium exploration companies until we see significantly higher prices, because there has already been plenty of uranium delineated by exploration work in past cycles that is still in the ground.      Wrapping up we shifted over to traditional energy with the oil and gas stocks, where Sean is considering selling some of them, to put more focus on the critical minerals sector, but is still going to keep holding some of the better oil producers that pay him to wait with solid dividends. We consider whether this could be a contrarian area to follow more closely in the commodities sector.   Click here to follow along with Sean's work at Weiss Ratings Daily and Wealth Megatrends   Click here to learn more about Resource Trader   Click here to find out about registering to see Sean at the Orlando Money Show     For more market commentary & interview summaries, subscribe to our Substacks: The KE Report: https://kereport.substack.com/ Shad's resource market commentary: https://excelsiorprosperity.substack.com/   Investment disclaimer: This content is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice, an offer, or a solicitation to buy or sell any security. Arizona Gold & Silver reports high-grade Antimony, receives drill approval at Silverton

Arizona Gold and Silver Vice President of Exploration Greg Hahn joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news of high-grade antimony results from the company's Silverton gold-antimony project in Nye County, Nevada. The project is located immediately north of US Highway 6, between Tonopah and Ely, and hosts two distinct target types — a Carlin-style large-tonnage gold system and high-grade antimony-gold-silver veins exposed at surface. Hahn explained that Arizona Gold & Silver is shifting exploration focus toward antimony, given the metal's status as a U.S.-designated critical mineral currently trading around US$57.50 per pound. Recent sampling across stibnite-quartz veins and surrounding rock returned antimony grades as high as 7.95% from a 25.4-centimeter-wide vein, averaging 1.38% across 14 samples, including non-vein material. Historical data collected primarily by Newcrest Resources (2002–2004) further underscore the project's potential, with more than 25 surface samples exceeding 1% antimony, often accompanied by anomalous gold and silver values. Sample preparation and analysis for the latest program were conducted by ALS Global Labs in Tucson, Vancouver, and Loughrea, Ireland. In a significant operational update, the company also announced that it has secured approval from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management for a 27-hole reverse circulation drilling program from 17 permitted drill pads, paving the way for immediate road and pad construction. Hahn emphasized that the combination of strong surface results, historical data, and regulatory progress positions the Silverton project for meaningful near-term advancement. #proactiveinvestors #arizonagoldandsilverinc #tsxv #azs #otcqb #azasf #GoldExploration #PhiladelphiaProject #MiningNews #JuniorMining #HeapLeach #Metallurgy #ResourceInvesting #GoldStocks #PreciousMetals #MiningNews #GoldExploration #SilverMining #JuniorMining #ArizonaMining #GoldInvesting #DrillResults #MiningInfrastructure #ProactiveInvestors #perryzone #risingfawnzone #Antimony #CriticalMinerals #ArizonaGoldAndSilver #MiningNews #SilvertonProject #GoldExploration #JointVentureOpportunity #NevadaMining #DrillPermit

Arizona Gold and Silver CEO Mike Stark joined Steve Darling from Proactive to outline the company's next steps in advancing the Silverton gold-antimony project, strategically located in Nye County, Nevada. The project sits immediately north of U.S. Highway 6, approximately halfway between Tonopah and Ely, placing it in a well-established mining region with strong infrastructure access. Stark highlighted the growing importance of antimony, which is currently trading at approximately US$57.50 per pound and has been officially designated a critical mineral by the U.S. government for its role in defense and strategic applications. Historically, antimony occurrences on the Silverton property had been viewed as a trace-metal signature associated with deeper, blind gold mineralization. However, the current pricing environment, coupled with strong federal support for domestic antimony development, has prompted the company to re-examine this resource with fresh eyes. The Silverton property benefits from an extensive historical database. More than 2,000 rock samples were collected across the property, primarily by Newcrest Resources Inc. between 2002 and 2004. Analysis of this data revealed over 25 surface samples containing more than 1% Sb. 95 surface samples with values above 1,000 ppm Sb. Importantly, these anomalous antimony values are often associated with gold grades ranging between 0.1 and +1.0 grams per tonne, underscoring the potential for both critical mineral and precious metal discoveries. To advance exploration, Arizona Gold & Silver recently submitted a Notice of Intent (NOI) to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, requesting approval to drill 27 reverse circulation holes from 17 drill pads, along with the construction of supporting access roads. Approval for the NOI was granted on September 18, 2025, clearing the way for the company to begin drilling. Looking ahead, the company plans to entertain joint venture proposals for testing both the antimony-gold zones and magnetotelluric (MT) targets at Silverton. This approach will allow Arizona Gold & Silver to leverage external expertise and capital while continuing to concentrate its own resources on advancing the company's flagship high-grade Philadelphia gold project in Arizona. Stark emphasized that these strategic steps position the company to unlock additional value from its portfolio while maintaining its focus on delivering results at Philadelphia, where strong exploration momentum continues. #proactiveinvestors #arizonagoldandsilverinc #tsxv #azs #otcqb #azasf #GoldExploration #PhiladelphiaProject #MiningNews #JuniorMining #HeapLeach #Metallurgy #ResourceInvesting #GoldStocks #PreciousMetals #MiningNews #GoldExploration #SilverMining #JuniorMining #ArizonaMining #GoldInvesting #DrillResults #MiningInfrastructure #ProactiveInvestors #perryzone #risingfawnzone #Antimony #CriticalMinerals #ArizonaGoldAndSilver #MiningNews #SilvertonProject #GoldExploration #JointVentureOpportunity #NevadaMining #DrillPermit

Interview with Paul Huet, CEO & Oliver Turner, Corporate Development, Americas Gold & SilverOur previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/americas-gold-silver-tsxusa-push-to-restore-historic-galena-mine-7106Recording date: 8th September 2025Americas Gold & Silver Corporation is experiencing a dramatic operational renaissance under CEO Paul Huet's leadership, successfully implementing longhole mining techniques at its century-old Galena mine in Idaho for the first time in two decades. This achievement represents the cornerstone of a comprehensive transformation strategy that has already delivered significant productivity improvements and positioned the company for substantial growth. The company has secured $100 million in debt financing to fund critical infrastructure upgrades, primarily focused on expanding shaft capacity from the current 700 tons per day to over 1,800 tons per day. This more than doubling of capacity addresses a fundamental bottleneck that has constrained operations for 20 years. The two-phase upgrade program is reportedly ahead of schedule, with completion expected by year-end, enabling access to higher-grade ore zones and more efficient waste management.A major value driver involves monetizing previously penalized metals through new offtake agreements beginning January 2026. Americas Gold & Silver operates the only producing antimony mine in the United States, positioning it uniquely following China's export restrictions in late 2024. Historical data reveals the magnitude of this opportunity: over 20 years, Galena produced nearly 20 million pounds of antimony that generated penalties rather than payments, representing approximately $500 million in foregone value at current prices.Galena mine operates with exceptionally high silver grades, mining over 400 grams per ton in a global market where fewer than five operations achieve similar grades. Recent exploration results have identified zones with grades significantly higher than current mining areas, including intercepts of 24,913 grams per ton, demonstrating substantial upside potential through selective mining techniques. The company has undergone significant restructuring, with institutional ownership increasing from 7% to 63% since management's takeover. A 2.5-to-1 share consolidation improved market accessibility, while inclusion in major silver ETFs created additional institutional demand. Management targets crossing 2 million silver ounces annually from current levels of 1.3-1.4 million, with long-term potential to restore Galena's former 5+ million ounce capacity. The strategic focus on operational excellence over speculative expansion creates multiple value drivers converging toward significant cash flow generation at current commodity prices.Learn more: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/americas-gold-silver-corporationSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Antimony and Emetics

The Poisoner's Almanac

Hello Poison Friends! We have discussed quite a few heavy metals, but not all of them. While we did mention Antimony awhile back, we did not give it the attention it deserves, so this would be a great time to do so. Before getting too deep into Antimony, however, a review on purging with emetics and the history there concerning the "rebalancing of humors" as well as the more modern "ridding oneself of toxins," is in order. One emetic that is more recent in our history is Ipecac. Technically, or medicinally, it went by the name Syrup of Ipecac. Parents, here in America at least, were told by the American Association of Pediatricians to keep a bottle in their homes at all times in case of children accidentally poisoning themselves. What we have learned since the late 1990s however is that not only is Ipecac not really effective at treating poisoning cases, but it is also toxic and can lead to its own complications including irritation of the GI tract and airways, seizures, and heart problems. There are now more efficient and safe ways to treat cases of poisoning that do not involve forced vomiting. Throughout history, people have leaned on various toxic substances to cause themselves to vomit or that would induce diarrhea as a way of healing or keeping oneself healthy. It doesn't sound pleasant but what they used made it even less so. Antimony does cause GI distress including vomiting and diarrhea and can also lead to muscle weakness, gastric ulcers, seizures, kidney disease, cardiovascular diseases, neurological disease, respiratory distress, and blistering of the skin if topically applied. It has also been found to be carcinogenic. Acute use at high dosages, or chronic use at any dose, could lead to poisoning and death. People used Antimony medicinally (as Tartar emetic, namely) for a number of different ailments including epilepsy, syphilis, tuberculosis, and GI distress of all sorts. It was even used for alcoholism, and in some countries, it still is. In centuries past, they even had accessories to go along with their toxic medicine. So let's go through the history of these substances and you know some interesting and familiar names will pop up along the way including a Biblical character/Babylonian king, Isaac Newton, a King of France, and a founding father with a penchant for excessive bleeding and purging. Canagold Resources CEO Catalin Kilofliski joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share the positive results of the Feasibility Study for the company's 100%-owned New Polaris gold-antimony project in northwest British Columbia. The study confirms robust project economics and sets the stage for Canagold's transition into permitting and development. Kilofliski highlighted that the FS outlines an after-tax Net Present Value (NPV) of $425 million and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 30.9% based on a base-case gold price of US$2,500 per ounce, with a project payback period of just 2.4 years. Under a spot gold price of US$3,300 per ounce, the economics become even more compelling, with an after-tax NPV of $793 million, an IRR of 47.3%, and a reduced payback period of 1.7 years. The Life of Mine (LOM) after-tax free cash flow is projected to be $649 million at the base-case price and $1.1 billion at the spot price, reinforcing New Polaris as a low-capex, low-AISC project with significant upside potential. Kilofliski stated, “The Feasibility Study results demonstrate exceptional economics, even at conservative gold prices. As we continue optimizing the project—including antimony recovery and potential cost reductions through green power solutions—our immediate priority is progressing through the permitting phase toward construction and eventual production.” He also acknowledged the Taku River Tlingit First Nation for their collaborative engagement and ongoing open dialogue, emphasizing the company's commitment to responsible development. #proactiveinvestors #canagoldresources #tsx #ccm #otcqb #crcuf #mining

Canagold Resources CEO Catalin Kilofliski joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide an update on the company's flagship New Polaris gold project, which is steadily advancing toward a feasibility study and production decision. Located in British Columbia, the project is drawing increasing attention for its exceptionally high-grade gold resource and new upside from a critical mineral byproduct—antimony. Kilofliski emphasized that New Polaris may host the highest-grade undeveloped gold deposit in the world, with an average grade of 13 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold. The current resource includes over one million ounces of gold, which is now being evaluated as part of ongoing feasibility-level work to define the project's development path. A major update in the project's evolution is the recent recognition of antimony as an economic byproduct. Kilofliski shared that Canagold has published a NI 43-101 compliant antimony resource of approximately 7,000 tons, which is now being incorporated into future mine planning. “Anything we would get paid eventually for antimony, it's on top, which is great,” he said, noting that the costs associated with mining the antimony are already absorbed by the gold production, making it a pure bonus in terms of economics. This development is particularly timely, as antimony has been designated a critical mineral by both Canada and the United States, due to its strategic importance in defense, energy storage, and semiconductors, and growing concerns over global supply chain vulnerabilities. As demand for antimony rises, Canagold is well-positioned to benefit from both rising prices and increasing geopolitical interest in secure domestic sources. The company continues to advance permitting efforts in British Columbia, with both regulatory work and technical feasibility studies actively underway. These efforts are laying the groundwork for a future construction decision while engaging with stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure a clear path to development. Kilofliski also highlighted Canagold's strong financial position, supported by its major shareholder, Sun Valley Investments, which owns approximately 50% of the company's outstanding shares. Sun Valley's involvement provides Canagold with stable, long-term financial backing, enabling the company to maintain momentum without reliance on near-term dilutive financing. With high-grade gold, newly defined critical minerals, supportive capital partners, and ongoing regulatory progress, Canagold Resources is shaping New Polaris into a uniquely attractive development-stage asset, offering both near-term advancement and long-term strategic value in a resource-constrained world. #proactiveinvestors #canagoldresources #tsx #ccm #otcqb #crcuf #mining #Antimony #CriticalMinerals #NewPolaris #MiningStocks #FeasibilityStudy #TSX

In this KE Report company update, I'm joined by Mike Spreadborough, Executive Co-Chairman, and Kas De Luca, General Manager of Exploration at Novo Resources (TSXV: NVO - OTCQX: NSRPF), to unpack the June 19th news release focused on exploration in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.   Key themes discussed: Early-stage aircore drilling at the Balla Balla Project: Kas outlines the targeting strategy across a 15km strike. Although wide-spaced, the drilling revealed low-level gold mineralization and a strong multi-element geochemical signature pointing to a fertile system over 5km of strike. Emerging gold-antimony prospects: The Sherlock Crossing area has returned high-grade surface samples (up to 146 g/t gold and 3% antimony), with a 1.5km soil anomaly now defined and ready for drilling. The Southeast Wyloo prospect is back on the radar with strong historical results, and fieldwork will resume shortly. Egina JV with Northern Star Resources: Following the takeover of De Grey Mining, Northern Star is reviewing the project data. With $18M in spending remaining to earn 50%, Mike explains the ongoing collaboration and outlook for future drilling. Strategic project pipeline: Mike and Kas provide insight into Novo's broader exploration strategy, balancing advanced targets in New South Wales (Tibooburra and John Bull) with greenfield discoveries in Pilbara. They also remain open to potential JVs or asset sales where appropriate. Expect further news on follow-up drilling and new target prioritization by the end of Q3.   Click here to visit the Novo Resources website to learn more about all the projects and exploration programs.

In this episode, we have a returning guest who appeared in October 2024 (Episode 479). Robert Eckford, CEO of Rua Gold, a junior gold mining exploration company exploring two historic high-grade gold districts across New Zealand. Robert is a Chartered Accountant and a Master in Mineral Economics, where he began his career as a mining auditor and consultant at EY, before moving on and becoming a founding member of two successful mining ventures. He’s been at the helm as CEO of RUA Gold for nearly 18 months and gives us an update on the company, update on New Zealand as a mining jurisdiction, how they work with the local communities, what factors influence the company's strategic decisions, and the use of AI in exploration. KEY TAKEAWAYS New Zealand's Mining Landscape: The new political party in New Zealand has implemented a fast-track permitting process, allowing mines to be permitted in just six months, significantly reducing the bureaucratic hurdles that previously existed. Rua Gold has successfully acquired 95% of the Reefton gold district, which is rich in historic high-grade gold deposits. Recent drilling results have shown promising high-grade intercepts, indicating strong potential for future mining operations. Community Engagement: Rua Gold actively engages with local Maori groups and communities, fostering a collaborative relationship. The company provides updates and seeks feedback, emphasising a partnership approach rather than a confrontational one. Use of AI in Exploration: The company utilises AI technology, specifically a tool called Verify AI, to analyze large datasets and identify high-potential drilling targets. This approach enhances efficiency in exploration by focusing resources on the most promising areas. The junior mining sector faces significant challenges in securing funding, despite high gold prices. The need for continuous capital raises and the difficulty in attracting investment highlight the complexities of operating in this space. BEST MOMENTS "The way that we're going to help mining in New Zealand is actually just cut the red tape and get permitting done quicker." "We have 95% of the tenements there, and now we're uncovering the rest of that district." "Antimony is really interesting in the sense that it is the most scarce critical mineral of critical minerals." "I think the biggest factor for me is can you make this into a business?" In this episode, we have a returning guest who appeared in Jan 2025 (Episode 497), Juan Carlos, President and CEO of Canstar Resources, a TSX-Venture listed junior miner focused on mineral exploration in Newfoundland, Canada. Juan has 15 years of experience in executive management, capital markets, finance, and commercial and strategic development. Juan gives us an update on proceedings since we last spoke, their new JV agreement, VMS deposits, and why they are attractive propositions, their recently launched deep geophysics survey update, and discusses their unique board and what they bring to the company and much more. KEY TAKEAWAYS CanStar Resources has entered a significant joint venture with VMS Mining Corporation, which involves a phased investment totalling $11.5 million for a 60% ownership stake in CanStar's VMS assets. This structure is designed to be non-dilutive for existing shareholders. The Buckins District in Newfoundland is historically significant for its high-grade VMS deposits. CanStar's projects, Buckins and Mary March, are located in this area, which has seen limited exploration using modern geophysical techniques, suggesting substantial untapped potential. CanStar is also exploring its Golden Bay project, which has significant antimony potential. Antimony is critical for military and high-tech applications, and its rising demand presents a strategic opportunity for the company. CanStar plans to advance its exploration programs at both the Buckins and Mary March projects, with ongoing geophysical surveys and drilling activities. The company aims to execute its strategy efficiently in 2025, leveraging its partnerships and expertise to drive discoveries. BEST MOMENTS "CanStar Resources is a TSX-V listed junior that's focused on transforming neglected mineral systems into strategic assets for the next supercycle." "This joint venture... is non-dilutive and it's serious capital in the ground on an accelerated basis, really looking for a tier one discovery." "VMS deposits are very interesting in part because they're polymetallic... they give you economic flexibility and exposure to not only critical metals, but also precious metals." "The best place to look for a new deposit is in the shadow of the headframe." "Antimony is a mineral that is absolutely critical for military and high technology applications." With antimony increasingly recognized as a critical mineral due to its importance in defense, renewable energy, and industrial sectors—and global supply dominated by China, Russia, and Tajikistan—Krakatoa's project has drawn investor attention for its strategic potential and high grades.Originally explored by Soviet geologists, Zopkhito boasts historical grades averaging 11.6% antimony—far above the global average of around 1.3%. CEO Mark Major emphasized the urgency of diversifying antimony supply, noting, "It is not a recyclable element—you use it, you lose it." Krakatoa aims to leverage this exceptional grade and decades of existing data to fast-track validation through a 7,000–10,000 meter drill campaign beginning mid-2025, with JORC-compliant results expected by Q1 2026.The company plans to raise AUD 2 million, focusing on long-term investors aligned with its vision of transitioning from confirmation to early-stage production within two years. A small-scale antimony concentrate operation is being considered to capitalize on near-term price strength, with gold offering longer-term upside.Georgia's supportive mining laws and existing permits at Zopkhito present a significant regulatory advantage. Krakatoa's strategy—centered on high-grade mineralization, reduced exploration risk, and early cash flow—positions it as a compelling entry point into the critical minerals market. As global powers seek secure antimony supply chains, Krakatoa's Western-aligned, high-grade asset offers both strategic relevance and economic promise.View Krakatoa Resources' company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/krakatoa-resourcesSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

He suggested that the US should focus on tariffs against countries like Japan and Europe, rather than Canada and Mexico.   Chris also discusses the potential impact of the US election on Canada's political landscape and the need for Canada to take a more proactive role in managing its own economy and resources.   Chris talks about the long-term potential of uranium and natural gas, emphasizing their strong demand and constrained supply. He argued that these commodities are not significantly impacted by tariffs, as their demand for energy continues to grow. Chris also highlighted the potential for Canadian natural gas producers and explorers, despite the challenges posed by potential tariffs. He concluded that the broader fundamentals of these commodities are more significant than the impact of tariffs.   Chris points out  the challenges of the base metal industry, particularly nickel, in the US and Canada. He highlighted the high global price of nickel, which makes it difficult for domestic projects to compete with cheaper Indonesian supply. Chris suggested that governments should consider implementing public policy initiatives, such as price supports and loan guarantees, to support domestic nickel production. He also emphasized the need for governments to prioritize domestic production over cheaper imports, even if it means higher prices.   Cali and Chris discuss the transition of the world away from integrated globalization and the need for countries to focus on their own resources and defense. They highlighted the importance of critical materials such as rare earths, magnets, antimony, and tungsten for technological advancements and national security.   Chris emphasizes  the need for cyber security measures to protect against data breaches and ransomware attacks.   He also sees the potential for smart investors to focus on one-off stories in the mining commodity space and the tech sector, particularly in cyber security.      About Chris Temple Chris Temple is editor and publisher of The National Investor. Over time, mining evolved from a necessity for tools and pigments to a strategic industry powering economies and military advancements. This deep historical perspective highlights how mining has always been a fundamental pillar of technological and societal progress. The geopolitical importance of critical minerals – Modern warfare and advanced technology rely heavily on strategic metals like gallium, germanium, and antimony. These elements are essential for electronic warfare, radar systems, night vision devices, and missile guidance. The Chinese government, recognizing this decades ago, secured global mining and processing dominance, putting Western nations in a vulnerable position as they scramble to reestablish domestic supply chains. The rise of drone warfare and EMP defense systems – Military strategy is shifting toward drone swarms, where thousands of small, cheap, AI-powered drones can overwhelm traditional defense systems. This has led to the development of countermeasures like EMP-based defense systems, including the Leonidas program, which uses gallium nitride to disable enemy electronics. This new battlefield dynamic underscores the urgent need for securing critical mineral supplies to maintain technological superiority.China's long-term strategy in resource dominance – Unlike Western nations, where election cycles dictate short-term decision-making, China has played the long game in securing mineral resources. Through initiatives like the Belt and Road, they have locked down raw materials while perfecting the refining process, making them indispensable to global supply chains. Their recent export bans on gallium and germanium show how resource control can be weaponized for geopolitical leverage.Ethical mining and the future of clean extraction – Mining has long been associated with environmental destruction and poor labor conditions, but advances in technology and corporate responsibility are changing that. Major mining companies are now prioritizing ethical sourcing, reducing emissions, and improving worker safety. Blockchain-based tracking systems are also helping verify supply chain integrity, ensuring that materials come from environmentally and socially responsible sources. The vulnerability of supply chains and the need for resilience – The West's reliance on outsourced mineral processing has created significant weaknesses in national security. A disruption—whether through trade restrictions, political instability, or sabotage—can cripple industries dependent on rare materials. A key takeaway is the need for a “bulletproof supply chain,” where critical materials are sourced, processed, and manufactured within allied nations to mitigate risk.AI, decentralization, and the next era of industrial warfare – As AI becomes more embedded in military decision-making and logistics, the balance between centralization and decentralization is being redefined. AI-driven drones, automated mining, and predictive supply chain management are reshaping how nations prepare for conflict. However, this also introduces risks, as AI operates within unpredictable “black boxes,” potentially leading to unintended consequences in warfare and resource management.

Interview with Ron Heeks, Managing Director of Larvotto Resources Ltd.Recording date: 2nd August 2024Larvotto Resources (ASX:LRV) presents a compelling investment opportunity in the gold and critical minerals sector, centered around its recently acquired Hillgrove gold-antimony project in New South Wales, Australia. The company is rapidly advancing this high-grade asset towards production, targeting first output by early 2026.Key Investment Highlights include:Substantial High-Grade Resource: Hillgrove boasts a 1.5 million ounce resource at an impressive grade of 6 g/t gold equivalent. The initial reserve supports a 7-year mine life producing approximately 88,000 ounces of gold equivalent annually.Existing Infrastructure: The project benefits from extensive existing infrastructure, including a fully operational processing plant, 15 km of underground development, and grid power connection. This significantly reduces capital requirements and accelerates the development timeline.Strong Commodity Prices: Both gold and antimony are trading at or near record highs, enhancing project economics. Antimony, in particular, is experiencing robust demand growth, especially in the solar panel industry.Critical Mineral Status: As Australia's largest antimony resource and the world's eighth-largest, Hillgrove holds strategic value in the critical minerals space. This could attract government support and potential off-take partners.Attractive Economics: The pre-feasibility study demonstrates robust returns with a two-year payback period using conservative price assumptions. At current spot prices, payback could be achieved in just one year.Experienced Management: Larvotto is led by a team with a strong track record in project development and operations, positioning them well to execute on the Hillgrove opportunity.Exploration Upside: The company has outlined an exploration target for an additional 1 million ounces, with mineralization open at depth. This presents significant potential to extend the mine life and increase the project's value.Near-Term Catalysts: Investors can look forward to several potential value drivers in the coming months, including the definitive feasibility study, project financing arrangements, and results from ongoing exploration programs.Strategic Growth Potential: Larvotto's strategy of generating cash flow from Hillgrove while pursuing further exploration and potential acquisitions mirrors the successful growth path of many mid-tier Australian gold producers.Since acquiring Hillgrove just 7 months ago, Larvotto has made rapid progress, completing a pre-feasibility study and raising A$6 million to fund ongoing work. The company is now advancing its definitive feasibility study and exploring various funding options, including potential government support for critical minerals projects.Larvotto estimates that only around A$75 million will be needed to bring Hillgrove into production, a relatively modest sum given the existing infrastructure. This creates multiple potential funding avenues, including conventional debt, strategic partnerships, and equity.Investors should continue to monitor the potential risks, including execution challenges in bringing the project into production, commodity price volatility (particularly in the less liquid antimony market), and potential funding risks if market conditions deteriorate.Larvotto Resources offers investors exposure to both gold and the critical mineral antimony through a high-grade project with a clear path to near-term production. With strong commodity price tailwinds, significant exploration upside, and an experienced management team, Larvotto appears well-positioned to create substantial value as it advances Hillgrove towards production. For investors seeking exposure to the gold and critical minerals sectors, Larvotto presents an interesting opportunity to consider as part of a diversified portfolio.View Larvotto Resources' company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/larvotto-resources-limitedSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com
