Imagine being stuck in the “in betweens” of your sexuality. You're not “gay enough,” but you're not “straight enough.” Your sexuality is constantly oversimplified, or oversexualized. You're stuck wondering… “Am I bisexual enough???”Though that may not be the reality for all bisexual men, it certainly is a struggle that a lot of people face. Our guest on today's episode, West, is a bisexual man who learned to embrace his sexuality and accept that he is “enough” exactly as he is. In his young adulthood, West thought his bisexuality might just be youthful curiosity. But, as his life continued to progress and West continued to mature, he came to realize that his sexuality wasn't a “phase” or “curiosity.” It was who he was. His journey to this discovery was filled with societal pressures, self-doubt, and uncertainty. But ultimately, West found acceptance, pleasure, and confidence in his sexual identity. If you have any questions, thoughts, or stories to share after listening to this episode, I'd love to hear from you. Professor Eric Schrimshaw has conducted extensive research on a variety of topics related to the LGBTQ+ population, including HIV prevention and treatment, the use of pornography by gay and bisexual men, men involved in sex work online, and most recently, on behaviorally bisexual men, a topic we discussed in this Smart Sex, Smart Love podcast. In this particular study, the research team focused on men who identify themselves socially as heterosexual, but they reported in the study that they are having sex with men and women, including their wives and girlfriends who do not know they are having sex with men. These behaviorally bisexual closeted men have made a conscious decision not to disclose. Listen to my podcast to learn more about behaviorally bisexual men and how their secret can affect them.
New research suggests three times as many gay and bisexual men could donate their blood, if New Zealand adopted rules like those of the UK or Canada. At the moment, men must not donate for 3 months following oral or anal sex with another man. But in Canada and the UK, those rules are gender neutral, less prohibitive, and more gay and bisexual men give blood as a result. Associate Professor Peter Saxton is a lead investigator from the School of Population Health, Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland. Saxton spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
iconic drag queen Rhea Litre educates Brandon, Julian, Zack & Michael on LGBT+ facts.
On Wednesday, December 6th, 2023, gay and bisexual men will finally be able to donate blood because the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has changed its guidelines regarding blood donation. It's a day Seattle's John Rubino wondered would ever come. In fact, John's history with blood donation isn't new. Bloodworks 101 producer John Yeager takes it from there.

Vitalant officially expands blood donor eligibility to men who have sex with men. Rocklin is among school districts that approve a controversial gender ‘outing' policy of students. The best El Dorado County road trips. More Gay, Bisexual Men are Eligible to Donate Blood Dr. Chris Gresens, Senior Chief Medical Officer for Vitalant, discusses officially expanding blood donor eligibility to men who have sex with men (MSM) for the first time in nearly 40 years, following the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) updated guidelines. The FDA's old guidance required gay and bisexual men to wait three months following their last sexual contact with another man. With the new FDA guidance, all potential donors are now screened using a series of questions that assess individual risk of HIV, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. School Districts Approve Controversial Gender ‘Outing' Policy School board meetings have now become the public battleground over parental rights versus a child's right to privacy at public schools. Two school boards in recent weeks, including Rocklin, have passed controversial policies that would require teachers to identify transgender and gender non-conforming students to their parents. Now, the state of California is firing back with legal action. Diana Lambert, Senior Reporter at EdSource, joins Insight to discuss the districts' policy moves and why Attorney General Rob Bonta is vowing to fight in court. Ebony Harper is the founder of California TRANScends and Anoosh Jorjorian is the director of Yolo Rainbow Families with the Davis Phoenix Coalition. Both work with LGBTQ+ youth in the Sacramento area and join Insight to discuss the impact the policies can have on trans and gender non-conforming students on campus and at home. El Dorado County Road Trips Budget-friendly road trips might be something to consider if you've taken a peek at airline and hotel prices lately. Just a short drive away, El Dorado County delivers some of the most scenic (and Instagram-worthy) sights in our area. Sex and sex education is an exciting, and sometimes controversial topic. LGBTQ sex and sex education is, unfortunately, more controversial, especially in today's political environment. But, for me – it's also more exciting. And, having this conversation, and talking about sex can bring us joy; it can make us happier and more fulfilled people; it can enhance our relationships and our mental health; and it can literally save lives. My guest today – Dr. Joshua Rosenberger – is an expert on this subject. He is an associate professor of Biobehavioral Health at Penn State and the Director of the Survey Research Center. He's also a very prolific researcher and author – focusing on the sexual development and health of gay and bisexual men, HIV /STI prevention, health disparities, and sexual marginalization. We talk about all of these things, as well as the concept of gay age, the FDA's recent reversal of their decades-old ban on men who have sex with men donating blood, Tennessee's decision to deny accepting federal HIV funds, and the potential impact of that, and the idea of redemption in our contemporary politics.Mentioned:Vanderpump RulesWhite Tears, Brown Scars: How White Feminism Betrays Women of Color – Ruby Hamad-------------------------Follow Deep Dive:InstagramPost.newsYouTube Email: deepdivewithshawn@gmail.com **Artwork: Dovi Design **Music: Joystock

What's the latest on restrictions for blood donations from gay and bisexual men? Find out about this and more in today's PVRoundup podcast.
After years of protest, the FDA is easing the blood donation ban for gay and bisexual men. Today on the show, what this means for LGBT rights and the nation's blood supply.Read more:Gay and bisexual men in monogamous relationships will no longer be forced to abstain from sex to donate blood under federal guidelines announced last week. The proposed relaxation of restrictions follows years of pressure from blood banks, the American Medical Association and LGBT rights organizations to abandon rules some experts say are outdated, homophobic and ineffective at keeping the nation's blood supply safe.Health reporter Fenit Nirappil breaks down what these new rules mean for men who have sex with men, and how this change comes after years of stigmatization of the gay community.
A lifetime ban on gay and bisexual men donating blood was instituted in 1985, but change is afoot. Reset hears from Dr. Anu Hazra, University of Chicago infectious disease specialist, Jim Pickett, senior advisor with AVAC, Global Advocacy for HIV Prevention, Luke Romesberg, director of Youth Housing Program at the Center on Halsted, and Jennifer Brier, professor of history and gender and women's studies, UIC.
CBS News Medical Contributor Dr. David Agus explains what led to this policy change.
Hey guys, I know it's been a while, but this episode is the beginning of what I hope will become either Foot Fetish Fridays or Fetish Fridays. It'll take some time to build, but you guys know me and my foot fetish. Plus I'm also fascinated to learn about others and they're different foot fetishes, because not all foot fetishes are the same. And I am moderately curious about other fetishes men have in general, although I'm a bit trepidatious about it because I don't know how far down the rabbit hole it might go. But in the meantime, in this episode I interview Onlyfans content creator Red Manor, who loves to service men's feet by licking, sniffing, and sucking them. When I found his content on Twitter, I became aroused, intrigued, and jealous all at the same time! And I was so pleased when he was eagerly agreed to an interview with me! We had so much fun talking in this interview that we went on a few tangents that I had to cut out lol. it was fascinating and once again arousing to compare our different loves for feet. We talk about when he first developed his lust for feet. How he meets the guys whose feet he worships in his continent, and a whole lot more! Well, this week, I want to push that idea a little further and talk about what I believe is "third closet" for the male bisexual. Even with all the advancements within the queer world, this particular group of folks is often still shunned, judged, and often alienated. Let's talk about it.So, grab that coffee, have a seat at my table, and let's chat on this Bible Talks episode of the Coffee with Keith podcast.Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional nor am I a licensed therapist. This week we're talking bisexual play parties with the founder and “Chief Conspirator” of the New Society For Wellness (aka NSFW), Daniel Saynt! We chatted about Daniel's early awareness of his bisexuality, keeping it hidden throughout his conservative religious upbringing, and how entering the world of fashion both exposed him to more sexual fluidity but also convinced him that more openness and transparency was needed. We then focused on the club he founded, NSFW, and how & why it's specifically geared toward the bisexual community. We discussed play party etiquette and enthusiastic consent, how to overcome anxiety about attending sex parties (and performance anxiety during them), the differences between play parties and kink parties, how norms in sexual spaces can change depending on the gender identity of those involved, why bisexual men seem to love NSFW's “Frat”-themed party so much (which includes consensual “forced” hazing and bi play), and how queer parties can set themselves apart from “swinger” events. We also talked about weed! Hey guys! I know it's been quite a while but I'm back with more naughty content! The bad news is that Apple Podcasts removed the Naughty Audio for Men Podcast from his platform! But the podcast is still alive and well on Spotify. But because Apple Podcasts held more than half my audience, I have to make certain considerations about whether I want to modify my continent to get back on Apple podcast or not. Still for the time-being (hopefully not too long) I will reserve my Playtimes (audio and video) for my Patreon. But you'll still get to hear stories, confessions, and interviews on the podcast! Part 3. Bisexual Mike's Wife Gives a 'Hall Pass' to be a Cumdump", which is the playtime portion of our interview was supposed to finally appear on the podcast as episode 80. However, for now, you'll have to check it out on the Patreon as a bonus episode. It's definitely a hot episode because in the video you will see so much:See his perky swollen nipples freshly popped free from his rubber nipple suckersSee him peel back his blue thong and pull it to the side to reveal his butt plugThe way he works his hips like a fucking stripperThe way he deepthoats and then rides his large dildo like a cowboyMike arching his feet to the screen when I have him on his back… just the way I like it!And MORE!All Patrons get access to the audio! 3rd Tier Patrons get access to video. * This podcast is not meant to serve as medical advice to treat any medical condition in either yourself or others, and is not a substitute for therapy. I met Rick at the speakers school I signed up for to help me craft my motivational speaking business. He is a coach with them and from almost our first chat there was some chemistry. I knew he would be an ideal interview for our podcast series. He shares what it was like to come out at 19 and the way his parents reacted to it. He shares how HE reacted when his daughter came out. It's a candid look into the life of a man who was just trying to please everyone else. Find Rick online RIGHT HERE and thank you for listening to our podcast. In the fourth episode of Season 2 of the Demystifying Diversity Podcast, host Daralyse Lyons explores the ways in which multiple communities are coming together in ways that amplify love and inclusion. By exploring how the LGBTQ+ community, various faith communities, and assorted secular communities are working to increase LGBTQ+ safety and visibility, this episode focuses on effective inclusion practices, while also shining a light on the ways in which there is still room for growth. In this episode, you will learn about: The critical importance of intersectionality, what it is, and how it can support in creating inclusivity not just for LGBTQ+ folks, but for anyone. The importance of partnerships between the LGBTQ+ and faith communities, and how both can be driving forces of identity. Ideas for how to do the deep work of fully realizing your own, unique identity. How championing people to honor and embrace all of who they are creates the most inclusive spaces, and prioritizes individuals over their isolated identity markers.
