In the stifling confines of a teeming New York City subway car, a fatal confrontation recently erupted that sent shockwaves throughout the nation/world. Jordan Neely, a former NYC Michael Jackson impersonator struggling with homelessness and well-documented mental health challenges, was ensnared in a lethal chokehold by Daniel Penny, a U.S. Marine veteran who perceived Jordan as a threat to public safety. Chillingly captured on bystander video, the terrifying scene unfolded with Jordan's desperate gasps for breath and the unflinching determination of Daniel's resolve. This incredibly tragic incident has ignited an ongoing, volatile public debate over the deeper societal issues it has illuminated: systemic racism, vigilante justice, mental health crises, and civilian reactions in moments fraught with perceived danger. Welcome back to another chilling and thought-provoking episode of "Ghosts and Grit" with your host, Jack Osbourne. This week, Jack is joined by his dear friend and psychic medium, Cindy Kaza. The episode begins with a refreshing twist, as Jack and Cindy share a candid behind the scenes conversation about beauty standards for women. Cindy then takes us on her journey of discovering her psychic calling. From her first psychic experience to profound moments during a Peyote ceremony, Cindy's path from addiction to intuition leads them to explore the parallels between recovery literature and spiritualism, as well as the benefits of alternative therapies like plant medicine. As the conversation unfolds, Cindy shares her recent paranormal investigations in Indonesia, prompting a deeper examination of the power of manifestation. Jack later reveals a shocking prediction from The Osbournes series, leaving even Cindy questioning his own latent psychic abilities. In a fascinating twist that adds a whole new take to 'skeletons in the closet,' Jack invites Cindy to tap into the spiritual realm and give a reading on a skeleton residing in his very own podcast studio. But it doesn't stop there. Chillingly, Cindy recounts her most terrifying experiences connecting with notorious serial killers, from Danny Rolling to Ed Gein, whose disturbing stories served as inspiration for horror films like "Psycho," "Silence of the Lambs," and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Jack and Cindy then delve into the spiritual consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, exploring how the global crisis has prompted people to confront mortality, discover their spiritual tendencies, and tap into the power of mediumship.

Robert Lindsy Milne is recognized across the continent as one of the most insightful Psychic Intuitive Counselors of his time. He has traveled the world giving insight with his Psychic Intuitive Sessions to tens of thousands of people.Robert Lindsy Milne - "For as long as I can remember I have sensed things. At first feelings and vibrations in my immediate surroundings. As I grew older I was able to perceive and sense real and identifiable energy and vibrations from the people I encountered.By the time I was 9 years old I discovered my life's calling. I didn't know what it would be called, but I knew what I was going to do.My father was a big Toronto Maple Leafs fan and like all red-blooded Canadian boys I wanted to be just like my dad. My dad wanted me to have the opportunity he missed. He wanted to play in the NHL.We often went to the Toronto Leafs games. One Thursday night in March of 1958, Toronto and Boston were in the Stanley Cup semi-finals. The series was tied at a game each and the score of the game was 1-1 at the end of the 3rd period. When the teams came on the ice for the first overtime period, I was immediately drawn to number 17 Gary Eiman… I knew he was going to score. It was so real to me, I jumped up and started cheering… In my mind the Leafs had won the game. The biggest problem was the game hadn't started! I was yelling and cheering. Unbeknownst to me, the building was silent but for my cheers. My father put his hand on my shoulder and said, “Settle down.” It was then I realized nobody, not even Garry Eiman knew he was going to score. It was at that moment in time, a light turned on…”Other People Think Differently Than Me”The referee dropped the puck. The first overtime period began. A few minutes later number 17 hopped over the boards on to the ice, the puck was passed to him and all of Maple Leaf Gardens erupted with cheers for their winning team… Garry Eiman had scored the winning overtime goal.I sat in awe and wonderment. My life had changed with the drop of a puck. 18,000 people were cheering, light bulbs flashing all around me…it was ( to the awareness of a 9 year old) welcoming me to my life's calling. As I entered my teen years I began sensing clearer images and ideas. I started to practice using my senses and abilities every day. My awareness became broader. From that time until this, I have continuously strived to be the best I can be. To grow and develop into the man I am proud to be.Expanding my psychic senses to the best they can be; to perform my talent, giving service to humankind is my life's calling.I've been a professional psychic for my entire work life. Performing psychic readings has been my purpose. There have been short periods where I have worked at other jobs, but never longer than a few months.I started doing readings as a career at “The Cozy Tea Room” in Toronto in the mid 1960s. At the time, the type of work, the way it was done, the standards of the environment where it was done, was hardly recognized as a job let alone a career.Regardless of the way it was done, the standards of our work, the old and faded environment we did it in or the level of respect we received, it provided the opportunity to do psychic readings for thousands of people from diverse backgrounds. Some days at “The Cozy” I would see up to 30 people.I knew the Cozy Tea Room was only the beginning of my career. I was bright enough to recognize the incredible learning opportunity the Cozy Tea Room gave me.I soaked it up like a sponge.I have the work ethic of a plough horse and an inherited Scottish tenacity also known as stubbornness. I practiced my craft and honed my raw psychic ability. I developed a discipline, focus and most importantly I had the chance to do 100s of psychic readings a month.I became known as the Hippy Reader. I was the youngest reader in the city, probably in the country and not yet 20 years old. People came from all around to have a reading from me. I was one of the Cozy Tea Rooms most popular readers (and one of biggest earners I might add)It wasn't all rainbows and roses at The Cozy. I was Mrs. Cox, the owner's problem child too. There were many, good readers at The Cozy Tea, but few got out of the tea rooms. The Cozy Tea Room's business was to sell “The Telling of Fortunes”. However, there was a Witchcraft Act in the Canadian Criminal Code, Section 326, and in its essence it states “Fortune Telling” for money is against the law!Mrs. Cox, by-passed the law by selling sandwiches, a couple of cookies, a pot of tea and the Fortune Telling was, as the sign on the wall said, “For Entertainment Only”.Thinking back on it now, I laugh. Imagine the Cozy Tea Room being busted by the Vice Squad, taking us all out in hand cuffs for reading tea leaves. I can, in my minds eye, see Mrs. Cox, Pearl the waitress, and all the psychic readers in handcuffs along with the little old ladies who dropped by to get their “fortunes told” being charged with “found in”. What would they have taken as evidence I wonder? The used tea leaves? When a customer placed their order for tea, they also picked their reader. Many a day, I came to work, and there was a line up of 10 or 12 people waiting to get a reading from the shoeless long haired “Hippy Reader” also known as Bob Milne."This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/4858435/advertisement

On this episode of the world famous Sofa King Podcast, we talk about the infamous disappearance of Tara Calico. This true crime tale is over thirty years old, and it has some strange twists and turns. On September 20, 1988, she went on her daily bike ride and never came home. Chillingly, she told her mom that if she wasn't back home by noon, she should come looking for her. Witnesses said a truck was stalking her, and signs of a scuffle and broken Walkman were found. Then? Nothing. Months later, a polaroid was found in Florida that showed what could have been Tara bound and gagged in the back of a van. So, what did the FBI say about the picture? Who confessed in 2013 on their deathbed, and how could it implicate the sheriff overseeing the original case? What did the psychic stripper say? Listen, laugh, learn. This month's primary source dates to circa 1350BCE. It is a Letter from the King of Alashiya (i.e., Cyprus) to the Pharaoh of Egypt. This particular letter, EA 35, has been dubbed, "The Hand of Nergal." The Amarna Letters are a series of correspondences between the Great Powers in the Bronze Age written in Akkadian using the cuneiform script (the diplomatic language of the Bronze Age). In this abridged reading, you'll hear the King of Alashiya call the Pharaoh "brother" a number of times. This "honorific" reflects their equal footing as sovereigns and hints at Cyprus' strength as a regional power. Chillingly, however, you'll hear him refer to the "Hand of Nergal" -- the plague god that has decimated the island and impacted his ability to export copper. Next month's episode, we'll learn about the Amarna Letters, Alashiya and more. Join us we explore the Bronze Age with Louise Hitchcock!

Australia’s chief medical officer Paul Kelly says the threat of fines and jail time for people returning home from India was not ordered by him.Professor Kelly today told Sky News the criminal punishment was a separate part of Australia’s Biosecurity Act, but health authorities had not been asked to advise on that section of the government act.“Let’s be very clear, we were asked for public health advice on the nature of threat, how long (a measure) was needed, that was the advice given,” he told Sky News.“We weren’t asked about penalties. I’m an adviser, I don’t make decisions for the government.”Professor Kelly warned of the “consequences” of Australia’s travel ban on India in a letter to Health Minister Greg Hunt. He highlighted the risk the ban would have on Australian citizens and permanent residents in COVID-ravaged India as a result of our pause on flights and entry into Australia.“These include the risk of serious illness without access to healthcare, the potential for Australians to be stranded in a transit country, and in a worst-case scenario, deaths,” he wrote in a letter to Mr Hunt tabled in parliament today.“I consider that these serious implications can be mitigated through having the restriction only temporarily in place, ie a pause, and by ensuring there are categories of exemptions.”This came as cricket great Michael Slater slammed Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s Indian flight ban, warning he has “blood on his hands” for banning Australian citizens from fleeing COVID-ravaged India. While the broadcaster got out of India on one of the final flights to the Maldives before the ban came into force, he took to social media to attack the threat to jail Australian citizens trying to flee.“If our Government cared for the safety of Aussies they would allow us to get home. It’s a disgrace!!” Slater wrote. “Blood on your hands PM. How dare you treat us like this. How about you sort out the quarantine system.“I had government permission to work on the IPL but I now have government neglect”.Shortly afterwards, the 51-year-old tweeted at “those who think this is a money exercise” telling them to “forget it”.“This is what I do for a living and I have not made a penny having left early,” he said. “So please stop the abuse and think of the thousands dying in India each day. It’s called empathy. If only our government had some!”The Australian newspaper’s cricket writer Peter Lalor reported on Monday night that Slater, a commentator at the tournament, had been trying to get out for a week and eventually found his way to the Maldives where he will wait until he can return to his home country without the threat of being thrown into jail. While Slater escaped India just in time, cricketer David Warner remains stranded amid the humanitarian crisis. Warner recently posted a photo of himself and a teammate, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, dressed in a full protective body suit on a flight to Delhi.Adding insult to injury, Warner has officially been dropped by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in recent days. The Prime Minister is now under extreme pressure to dump the flight ban before May 15.Earlier, Sky News host Andrew Bolt declared he is “ashamed of Australia” over the threat of jail terms for Indian-Australians trying to return home, slamming the Prime Minister’s decision as a bad call that “stinks of racism.”“I hate people playing the race card. But even I must now say I am ashamed of Australia, which is making it a crime for Indian Australians to come back home,’’ Bolt said.“To me, it stinks of racism to tell the 8000 Indian Australians trying to come home that they must stay in India, in what Western Australia’s Premier admitted was the ‘epicentre of death and destruction’.”Chillingly, Bolt went on to argue, just like Slater, that the death of any Australian left trapped in India should “shame” the Prime Minister.“The death of any Australian in India because of this ban will shame the Prime Minister and ev...

Together with American Songwriter, we had the pleasure of interviewing Hyro The Hero over Zoom video! Better Noise recording artist Hyro The Hero today releases his new single “We Believe” featuring rock legend, David Draiman.Over a turbulent riff, Hyro decries “internet activists” with a venomous flow before launching a caustic and catchy call-and-response with Draiman on the hook. Chillingly, it culminates on a scream of, “I can’t breathe.” “It’s actually about hope,” he states. “We all have decisions to make. Everybody pulls you one way or the other. You have to pick the lesser of two evils in all situations. Personally, I’m trying to find a way. I can’t believe I’m rapping on a song with David, but I really can’t believe I’m singing a song with him. It’s a special moment, because I tried something new with my voice.”Draiman explains of the collaboration “I’m incredibly honored. Hyro is a truly amazing artist and I had a blast working with him. This track is exactly what the world needs right now. It’s time to believe again.”The video for the track was directed by Matt Mahurin, an award-winning filmmaker, photojournalist and illustrator who has had work in Time Magazine, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Esquire and more. His unique vision is the visual merging of the raw poetry of the rapper with the raw power of the rocker. Hyro and Draiman representing the duality of our daily lives. While the video explores the world’s struggles, the final message is one of not only revealing the fear, anger, and intolerance of humanity’s worst, but also reveling in the joy, love, and power of change through humanity’s best.As hard rock and hip-hop co-mingle more than ever before, the time feels right for Hyro The Hero. After non stop touring in support of his last album, Hyro dove right into the studio with producer Matt Good [Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead, From First To Last]. Under a flurry of inspiration, they recorded an entire album over the course of just two weeks. In the process, he expanded his sound dramatically.“You can see and hear the growth in this album,” he says. “I had to go through everything that brought me to this point and I’ve really learned how to focus on storylines and approach records structurally and lyrically. Where Goodness Still Grows with guest Amy Peterson- Episode 386Social media and recent political events have exposed the fault lines that exist within our country and our spiritual communities. The corruption and blind spots of the evangelical church have led to the departure of so many from faith, who cite hypocrisy and partisanship as reasons they can't stay. Chillingly, many of the virtues that we believed were a central piece of our religious heritage—including kindness, purity, modesty, hospitality, and faithfulness—have been hijacked and used for political or cultural gain. But all is not lost. My guest today, Author Amy Peterson, wants to reimagine virtue as a tool, not a weapon; as wild, not tame; as embodied, not written. As someone intimately familiar with, fond of, and also deeply critical of the world of conservative evangelicalism, Amy dissects the moral code of American evangelicalism and re-examines what it really means to be faithful in the modern world. Her latest book, Where Goodness Still Grows, traces the virtues from their original meanings and imagines what it could look like for us to embrace and celebrate them today. Where Goodness Still Grows is more than a book. It is a thoughtful, poetic, and deeply powerful call to reclaim our faith and it's a book I deeply needed in 2020.Amy Peterson's Web Site: http://www.amypeterson.net/Buy The Book: https://amzn.to/3bzPFFDAmy Peterson on Twitter: https://twitter.com/amylpeterson Music From RICK LEE JAMESLOVE OUR ENEMIES (Official Music Video): https://youtu.be/xsSB5OLPELEStream Rick's Music on any music streaming service: https://rickleejames.hearnow.com/thunderAlso Find Rick Lee James Music on Bandcamp: www.RickLeeJames.Bandcamp.comor on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3abA3po ----more---- Become A Patron of this Podcast at the Rick Lee James PATREONPAGE: https://www.patreon.com/RickLeeJames ----more----As Always...Thank You For Listening To Voices In My Head About Your Host: Rick Lee JamesWeb Site www.rickleejames.com,Twitter Facebook.Voices In My Head Podcast www.voicesinmyheadpodcast.com,Mister Rogers Quotes on Twitter at @MisterRogersSay.“Welcome To The Neighborhood: A Mister Rogers Tribute Podcast”: HERE.Rick Lee James Radio Special: https://westarchristianmedia.com/rick-lee-james-30-minute-radio-special Get Rick Lee James Latest Album: https://fanlink.to/RLJThunderIn partnership with CRW Radio Promotions, singer, songwriter and worship leader Rick Lee James debuts a brand new radio special. Queer R&B dripping in sensuality & harmonies.Vincent Coleman is a soul singer from the Leimart Park (Los Angeles) area. He knew from the age of 3 / 4 that he was going to be a singer. At the age of 11, he added the songwriter skill to his repertoire. As a singer / songwriter, Vincent is currently exploring the landscape of lust vs. love. With songs like, "Eventually," "Little Eyes," and "HUNGRY, THIRSTY, LOVE" Vincent is well on his way to building a community of emotionally honest Booh Bears (?). The depth and brutal honestly of his songs creates a mood of sensual freedom. In addition to being a singer / songwriter, he recently released a book of poetry called, "(in)capable of love." where he navigates his family's relationship with his homosexuality. Learn more about this multi-faceted artist on the latest episode of Uncensored Visionary: A LGBTQ podcast. Follow Vincent on Instagram and Twitter.

Looking back at the original theatrical release of “Blade Runner” – just as its sequel, “Blade Runner 2049” opens in theaters – the original’s ambivalence about technology and its chillingly prescient vision of corporate attempts to control human feelings is striking.

A little more than 65 years ago, in his April 1951 farewell address to the United States Congress, General Douglas MacArthur grimly stated his thoughts about the global conflicts in which he had played a major role. Speaking as a life-long military man—a senior leader at some of modern history's fiercest battles—he put the entire weight of his experience into his observation that, although mankind has from the beginning of time sought peace, all efforts for international peace have ultimately failed. Chillingly, he warned: "If we will not devise some greater and more equitable system, Armageddon will be at our door." We are all over the map this week! Join Deb, Erika, Katrina, and Liz as we discuss all sorts of interesting Doctor Who goodness. First, we dump our "happy thing" segment and break our no-news rule because the announcement of a new companion is a Big Deal! We're excited about having a new face in the TARDIS, but the level of excitement varies wildly between Verities. Next, we continue our run through classic season 1 with "The Edge of Destruction". It's a fascinating set piece that delves into the characters of our first TARDIS team in a spooky and often disturbing way. Chillingly delightful! Finally, we touch on our first missing story, "Marco Polo". There are oodles of ways to consume this one, and we all did it differently. We compare various methods and talk about the story itself. Opinions vary on this one even more than they do on the new companion. Oh, and in addition to all that, we're doing another Verity! GIVEAWAY! If you need some cool fan merch, Redbubble is the place for you, and we're giving away a $25 gift certificate. To enter, just head over to the Giveaway Post and leave a comment before Friday, May 6th! (NOTE: If you're one of our amazing, intelligent, attractive Patreon supporters, you're entered automatically!) As for the comments section here, let us know what you think of Bill, "The Edge of Destruction", "Marco Polo", your favorite Doctor Who comedy podcasts, and whatever else we touched on. We're all ears! ^E Bonus links [on our site]: "Real" video by Years and Years (ft Pearl Mackie) "asBill Evenson" The Audio Guide to Babylon 5 Lazy Doctor Who covers "The Edge of Destruction" and "Marco Polo"
