Welcome back to another flavourful episode of Bad Dads Film Review! Pull up a chair, fellow Dad cinephiles, as we pour over the dynamic world of servers and explore action-packed precincts, all the while indulging in some animated nostalgia.Top 5: Waiters/Waitresses in Film & TV: Serving isn't just a job, it's an art form. We start off by paying homage to the most iconic waiters and waitresses to grace our screens. From the sassy Diane Chambers of "Cheers" to the endearingly clumsy Amelia Bedelia, we'll rank, debate, and toast to the ones who've added the perfect touch of spice to their roles. We might also toss in a few memorable, albeit cringe-worthy, serving faux pas that had us rolling with laughter or hiding behind our popcorn.Movie of the Week: Copshop: Directed by Joe Carnahan and starring Gerard Butler and Frank Grillo, "Copshop" is a gripping dive into the world of crime and betrayal, with a precinct holding cell as its battleground. We'll unravel the film's intense action sequences, its intriguing character dynamics, and whether it passes the Dad test of providing a perfect blend of thrills, plot depth, and popcorn-munching moments.Kids TV - Mr Bean: The Animated Series: Ah, Mr. Bean. Few characters have the universal, timeless appeal of this bumbling Brit. As we delve into the animated adventures of Rowan Atkinson's iconic character, we'll discuss how Mr. Bean continues to captivate new generations without uttering a single word. We Dads will reminisce about our favourite Bean moments and chat about the life lessons – intended or otherwise – our kids might glean from his antics.So whether you're in for the cinematic service, crime capers, or cartoon chuckles, we've got your table set. Bon appétit!We love to hear from our listeners! By which I mean we tolerate it. If it hasn't been completely destroyed yet you can usually find us on twitter @dads_film, on Facebook Bad Dads Film Review, on email at baddadsjsy@gmail.com or on our website baddadsfilm.com. Until next time, we remain... Bad Dads

Οι 10 ταινίες που δε χάνονται αυτή την άνοιξη + 20 τηλεοπτικές σειρές γι' αυτή την άνοιξη Σε ένα ακόμη επεισόδιο επικαιρότητας, το POP για τις Δύσκολες Ώρες κάνει μία επιλογή από τις ταινίες που μπορείς να βρεις αυτή τη στιγμή στους κινηματογράφους και από τις σειρές που θα σου κρατήσουν τέλεια παρέα στο σπίτι.Η Ιωσηφίνα Γριβέα και ο Θοδωρής Δημητρόπουλος μοιράζονται τι παρακολούθησαν ή παρακολουθούν αυτή την περίοδο κρατώντας τα best of: Από τη horror επιστροφή του Ti West με το X, το αναπάντεχα καλό Copshop και δύο τρομερά ενδιαφέρουσες ελληνικές ταινίες, μέχρι τη φρέσκια σεζόν του RuPaul's Drag Race, το οικογενειακό έπος του Pachinko και το old school κατασκοπευτικό δράμα Slow Horses με τον Gary Oldman.Γιατί υψώσαμε γροθιά στον αέρα που το X δε θέλησε να χωρέσει στις “elevated horror” ταινίες τρόμου; Τι πετυχαίνει η Αρασέλη Λαιμού με την Αγία Έμυ, πόσο απολαμβάνουμε τον μυστικισμό στο ελληνικό σινεμά και πώς κοίταξε η ταινία τον Πειραιά διαφορετικά; Ποιος “κερδίζει” τελικά το Copshop με τον Gerard Butler και γιατί είναι Η Πόλη και η Πόλη ένα ζωτικής σημασίας viewing για τη σχέση μας με την ελληνική ιστορία και τις σκοτεινές της πλευρές;Επίσης για ποιον χαρακτήρα του Pachinko θα πέφταμε στη μάχη, πόσο εντυπωσιακά ευθές γίνεται το Severance για το εργασιακό καπιταλιστικό σύστημα και την επιβίωση (ή μη) του ανθρώπου μέσα σε αυτό, και ποια queen στηρίζουμε στη 14η σεζόν του RPDR; Α και συγνώμη, πότε έγινε όντως καλή σειρά το Bridgerton; Και τέλος, ποια αθόρυβη sitcom συμβαίνει τώρα και αξίζει την προσοχή σου;

On this episode of the podcast, Chip is back as Phillip's co-host. The two of them start the show by paying respects to celebrities who have passed away this year. Then Phillip reads what Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote on instagram about Ivan Reitman's passing. Phillip and Chip give their respects and says some words. Then it's time for Phillip to make some corrections for last week's show. Phillip and Chip then dive into the 1950' movie, The Asphalt Jungle. They talk about who the would cast in it if they were making it today, and then they read Listener Opinions from Instagram. It's then time to walk through the movie and discuss the trivia and favorite scenes. (Chip had never seen the movie until now.) They end the show with Phillip telling his Phil's Film Favorite of the Week; Copshop (2021). It's a great episode with great conversations. Come back next week for; It's Criminal Pt. 2: Thief (1981). (Chip has never seen this movie either.)

It's time for a brand new episode of The Flickcast. The podcast about stuff nerds love. This week it's Episode 461: No Time to Podcast. On this week's brand new episode, Chris and Joe get deep into it with discussions, observations and, yes, opinions on various new and recurring topics. So, another typical Tuesday? Yep. Some of these include the latest James Bond opus No Time to Die, the recent Marvel superhero blockbuster Shang-Chi and all of the recent announcements at Disney's "Disney+ Day" such as Moon Knight, Secret Invasion, What If? season two and Agatha: House of Harkness. And of course, some other random "mores" too. Picks are happening again this week with Chris' pick of Joe Carnahan's Copshop and Joe's pick of the Robert Redford film Sneakers. Sure, it takes him a minute to get there, but he makes it. If you like the show, please consider rating or reviewing it on Apple Podcasts, or your podcast app of choice. Every rating or review helps. And if you're really feeling it, consider supporting the show on Patreon. That would be cool. Thanks for listening! Uncover your smokers and slap your meat, we've got more Frank Grillo. See because his last name is Grillo and it's kinda like grill. So what if this time he was a sort of political fixer in Vegas and he was trying to turn himself over to the feds for protection? That's where we start in Copshop[2021]. Of course this means that he's now a target for the people he was working for. As it turns out that mafia types don't really care for their crimes to be exposed. Enter Gerard Butler as Bob. Bob gets himself arrested right after Grillo so he can try and get to him. This leads to some … Continue reading "Popcorn Pulse 162: Shopping Cop"

This week we're stuffing so much toast in your face you might have a hard time swallowing all of it. This week we decided to get a VHS tape to find love in the movie Rent A Pal. Adrer that we went to jail and had a bloody gunfight with the movie Copshop. Up next we learned about the legend of the Ten Rings with the movie Shang-Chi. Then we realized that everyone deals with loss in different ways with the movie The Starling, Up last we tell a little white lie that grows larger and larger with the musical Dear Evan Hansen. Fear not we might have forgotten to review Marvel Studios What If...? but this week we hung out with Killmonger and partied hard with Thor. So join us on our strange and mysterious journey as we tell you all about these movies.
A tiny flock tries to decide if good intentions are enough to make up for not so good film making. We also get enthusiastic about The Card Counter/Goliath/and Copshop.
