It is time to gather together one last time and take a look back at Survivor South Pacific. We got a full spectrum of responses on season 23. As always, you provided a thoughtful reflection on this season's castaways and the major events that shaped the game. Some Survivors were taken to task and others were celebrated. Semhar's influence can still be felt as several spoken word summaries were provided, and we enjoyed it all. We will be on break until February when Survivor One World makes its debut. Until then have a great holiday and happy new year. For each new episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty seven die hard fans shared their thoughts on episode 14, the finale and the season as a whole. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. We want to especially thank all of you that got your responses in early! John Cochran may be out of the running for Sole Survivor, but if most of you get your way, this will not be the last we see of him. Quite a few of you are already calling for his return. The appearance of Brandon's dad in this episode prompted much discussion about the Hantz family legacy. Is it too soon to wonder if we might see Shawn Hantz in a future season? Many theories were offered as to how this season will conclude. We are down to the final episodes. A week from now and it will all be over. Survivor was back this week and even though some folks find watching the execution of Upolu's disciplined game plan a bit too predictable, there was still plenty of action to get us talking! Coach continues to make significant progress in the game, but many folks acknowledge it begrudgingly. His hyperbolic explanations and supposedly learned, but often incorrect references which are crafted with the intent of impressing us continue to backfire. It often seems like he is so busy patting himself on the back that there is little room left for us to cheer for him. Sophie continues to be a front runner too when it comes to predicting who will make it to the final tribal council, but there is not a lot of hard data one can point to by way of explanation. Unlike Coach, we are left with the impression that she is intelligent and coldly logical, but the comparisons to Andrea and Ashley from last season that a couple fans made this week may be closer to the mark than we would like to believe. A few folks are forcibly optimistic for John Cochran's future, but most believe that Ozzy has already crossed him off his hit list. For each new episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. There is always the possibility of predictability when one alliance or tribe gains the upper hand after the merge, but that does not stop Survivor fans from finding interesting points to ponder for each episode. That is because we like to consider all the possibilities and the impact that different strategies might have. The Listener Feedback show this week, while shorter than normal, covers a lot of territory. Savaii's choices leading up to Cochran's flip and their post merge behavior continue to be hot topics. Upolu gets their fair share of scrutiny too. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Another great episode spawned a correspondingly excellent Listener Feedback show! Cochran's moves were, as expected, a hot topic of conversation. Quite a few people weighed in with some grudgingly acknowledged respect for Coach, although not everyone is willing to assign him full credit for flipping Cochran. Quite a few people pointed out how Savaii had, for the most part, brought this on themselves. We also got some great parallel comparisons to players and similar predicaments from past seasons. I really enjoyed the thoughts and question on jury management and the role of strategic gameplay versus social acceptance. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Episode 7 qualifies as the most controversial so far. The two returning players remain at the center of the controversy. Coach's over the top religious zealousness combined with his plot to deceive Brandon through prayer resulted in many fans calling him out as a hypocrite. The general, over abundance of religious content this season is wearing thin for many as well, regardless of their religious affiliation. Quite a few of you weighed in to rate Ozzy's bold play. Most of you think it was a poor strategic choice while acknowledging the potential to make history. Last but not least, Cochran is rapidly losing his fan base, but not all have given up on him, yet. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Season twenty three keeps delivering, and as the "seesaw" affect continued through episode six, it kicked off a flurry of predictions from you for what we can expect next. Several of you focused in on Ozzy's potential trip and predicted return from Redemption Beach. Fans of Albert suggested he might light Brandon's fuse by telling him that Coach has the HII. Predictions for the duel were about even with Christine and Mikayla both garnering votes as the winner. Jim's fans are hanging tough with him and pleased with the results, and don't forget Dawn, Edna and Cochran. The strong episodes continue with week 2, and judging from your feedback, a lot of us are thrilled to have so many in the cast this season that actually appear to be playing the game with some gusto. Brandon's bizzare behaviour continues to be a centerpiece for discussion. Many were not remotely surprised to see Christine go, most of us hope you quickly puts Semhar out of her misery at Redemption Beach. There are still lots of well wishers for Cochran, but some have begun to express their doubts as to whether he can secure a complete comeback. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, which will start again after the first buff gets burned at Redemption Arena, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. The first episode of Survivor South Pacific is behind us, and it's time to see what you thought about it. One theme came through loud and clear this week, we're disappointed in many of the fans. Cochran, Christine and Dawn in particular all managed to commit some egregious errors for folks that should know better. Rick and Sophie managed to escape unscathed. Many of us believe the countdown to Brandon's implosion is underway too. He's all but set himself up for a fall. We were unanimous in loving the 90 minute episode. More please! For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, which will start again after the first buff gets burned at Redemption Arena, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty seven fans shared their thoughts on episode 1 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Becca, Evil Male Parvati, Samantha, Katie, Brandon, Lil' Russ, CheddarCheeseMelt, Jen, Carolyn, Dan, Jeremiah, Joel, Anna, DrewG, Tim, Mikeybear, Maria, Aaron, Eric, Christy, Sandi, MikeK, Evil John, Doug, Tyler, Alice and Paul We've got several ways you can reach us.   The first episode of Survivor Redemption Island has aired, and it's time to see what you thought about it. Opinions varied on Kristina, Stephanie, Matt, Mike as well as Rob and Russell, but on the whole, most of us thought this was one of the best first episodes of any season. A lot of "Fran Fans" responded to register their support, and a whole gaggle of you decided to see how many ways you could misspell her name to match Phillip's odd pronunciations. You really surprised us with the volume of response for the first episode. The fear, uncertainty and doubt has lifted. We've got high hopes for this one. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, which will start again with episode 3, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game.   It is time to take one final look at the quirky, gimmick filled season called Survivor Nicaragua. We gathered together this last time to share our thoughts about the last episodes, plus the reunion show as well as the whole season in comparison to the previous twenty.   The results are in from this week's analysis and it sounds like most of you think Sash backed the wrong alliance. The majority believe he would have had a much better chance winning against the "Three Amigos" as DeeDee described them. There seems to be a pretty even split on Jane still. Some love her and others are very tired of her good vs evil campaign. If you are a fan of long shots, we even have a somewhat plausible "Dan FTW" scenario to ponder thanks to Lynda. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game.   We knew a controversial episode like this one would elicit a response from the fans, and you really delivered. While there were many common themes regarding the quitters, there were also some interesting counter points as well as a correction worth mentioning. Several of you pointed out that Benry was talking to NaOnka and trying to convince her to give up reward instead of Dan as we had incorrectly stated in the recap show. Predictions for who might be next to leave ranged across the board and included some compelling analysis of the final seven. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game.   What a difference a single episode can make to an entire season. A week ago the LF show was primarily about how we don't have anyone likeable to root for. Now, Jane made a complete turn around by winning immunity again, and we can't seem to say enough about how refreshing it was to see Holly and NaOnka serve a major dose of come uppance to what appeared to be a completely over confident Brenda. Reminder:This week will be a recap show. There is no Tribal Council. We will be back with the podcast on Wednesday, December 1st which is also when your next JSFL picks are due. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game.   There was a common theme in the feedback this week. We heard loud and clear that you're having trouble finding anyone left to root for amongst the remaining castaways. One fan went so far as to compare Nicaragua to the extremly disappointing Fiji season. Jane's popularity continues to plummet, and we all wonder what she will do now that she does not have Marty to focus on. If you have not already seen it, make sure to check out Purple Kelly's "I woke up on day 23" extra video. It's an instant classic! Don't you wish you picked her for your USB now? Some thought his choice to hand over the immunity idol made perfect sense, and others didn't hesitate to compare him to the famous ice cream scooper from Hell, Michigan.   Double elminations are a necessity when they start with 20 castaways instead of the original 16. This one came with a twist, the rare tie vote at Tribal Council.   With the shuffle behind us and the surprise ousting of Tyrone, there was no loss of topics to discuss this week. There was little mercy for Marty and NaOnka, but they both still have their fans too. There seems to be a consensus building about the future of the original Espada tribe members even though the tide has turned for two that were on their way out. Ancient Voices 21 is out in iTunes as part of the new Survivor Themes Volume 2 collection. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty six shared their thoughts on episode 5 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show.   Marty, Jimmy T, Brenda and NaOnka were the focus of episode 4. They gave us plenty to talk about and speculate on. Opinions of NaOnka are still split and several of Jimmy T's fans weighed in with their take on his plight. Marty for all his success at apparently taking control of Espada, has not won all of you over to his side, and we were all eager to speculate about the potential impact of the impending tribe shuffle.   The third episode of Survivor Nicaragua certified NaOnka's role as this season's top villain, but as always we get to hear different perspectives on this when you get the chance to add your voice to the show. Most found her actions and words distasteful but a few found something to like about her approach to the game that casts her actions in a different light. Many were disappointed that Marty succeeded in getting rid of Jimmy Johnson, but most enjoyed Jimmy's time on the show. We've got all that and more including a special message from Gillian Larson about her new project, Reality Rally, along with her take on this season's cast. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game.   The second episode of Survivor Nicaragua was loaded with drama and action. Team crazy made an appearance and we got to see the irrational side of many of the castaways. You voted NaOnka, Holly and the reveal of Dan's $1600 shoes among the all star moments. No one seemed sorry to see Shannon go, but a few thought it might have been strategic error. The fans of Jimmy Johnson kept singing his praises but are worried that Marty will target him as an early vote out choice. Fabio continues to entertain and kept many of us asking, "is he really that simple or is it an act"? For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. There were two big themes in the feedback for episode four. Many were sad to see Cirie go although most of us expected it sooner rather than later. We were pretty unanimous in our appreciation of how it all went down. Major league strategy, regardless of the outcome, will always be respected by the true fans. The other point of discussion centered on Coach. Those that "drank the koolaid" found it endearing. The other group had a really good laugh. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty three fans shared their thoughts on episode 4 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Ellis-n-Linda, Rashmi, John, Doreese, Taz, Reggie, Jeremiah, Shelley, Drew G, Survivor_rox, Samantha, Shane, Kathy M, Marina, Doug, Clare, Chris, Michael, Drew T, Ian, Brian, Paul and Griffin.   Today is our podcast birthday! We're officially 5 years old today, and we're so happy we could enjoy it together with you. The first episode of Heroes vs. Villains has aired, and it's time to see what you thought about it. We all, with one exception, really enjoyed the extended two hour episode. There were many common questions such as: who's Danielle, what season was Candice in, and why did they get all the extra clothes and supplies? Many were split on being happy or sad to see Coach again, likewise for Parviti, Amanda and Tyson. Did your pre-season picks change or were you happy with how accurate they were? For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game.
