#Discipleship #Occupy till I #Come; #Sanctified Pt8   Sanctified by the #bloodofChrist shed on the cross of calvary for the #sins of men. This week's study, Occupy till I come brings you as a believer into a Holy and Consecrated alliance with both God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. As we move, walk, testify, live, endure suffering, or face persecution; we are closely abiding with the Lord. Jesus Christ prayed "Father I pray thee to not take them out of the world but to Keep them from the Evil" - John 17:15. Nevertheless, as believers abiding in Christ Jesus and the Father, we face #temptation, #persecution, and even #death.  Revelation 12:11 tells us as believers that we "overcame him (Satan) by the #blood of the #Lamb, and by the #word of their #testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the #death." We look at this aspect of our #ChristianWalk with the Lord. For the Lord told us to "#Occupy till I come"- Luke 19:13. We live our lives unto the Lord by faith and walking that Path in this life until the Lord calls us home to #glory. Abide therefore, in #JesusChrist, by #faith, through the #SpiritofGod, #Believing, and stand strong in the #Lord Jesus Christ to the #glory of our #God and #Father.  #Sanctified   To get the Books from the Watchman Dana G Smith go to his website https://www.DanaGlennSmith.com   Visit https://Warn-Usa.com

Kiri and Mason welcome Lars Olson to the podcast to break down the verses surrounding one of the most well-known verses in the Bible: John 3:16. This week's lectionary text begins with, “And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness…” Lars explains the story about God sending snakes to bite His people in Numbers and Moses lifting up a bronze snake. Then we ask, “What does it mean that God so loved the world?” Lars teaches us we think of love as an exchange: if I love you, there's an expectation you love me back. But that's not how God loved the world.God loves the world so much that He gave His own Son to die. Why? So you know His mercy and have everlasting life. That's when we got to the most interesting part of the conversation in my opinion: the discussion about Jesus' judgment that people loved darkness over the light.Jesus came to save you from darkness, but you love it. We like to hide our evil deeds. We like to think evil is like the Joker or Hitler, but it's actually saying I don't need what God is giving me. I'm good enough. My intentions are good. Evil comes out when we're trying to get away from God by “being good.”Lars explains that is what John 3:16 is about. Jesus came into the world to not show us a way to stop being so sinful, but to expose how much we love the darkness. In order to understand the depth of God's mercy, we first must know the depth of our depravity. LENTEN CHALLENGE GRANTLuther House of Study has a challenge grant between now and Easter! Martin Luther said, "Next to the word of God, the art of music is the greatest treasure in the world." To understand the importance of hymnody in the Lutheran church, Lars Olson and Mason Van Essen sit down with Zachary Brockhoff each week to discuss the lectionary's hymns, their meaning and history, and how the music preaches the Gospel.

John Wayne Gacy, also known as the "Killer Clown," was an American serial killer and sex offender. He was active in the 1970s and is responsible for the murders of at least 33 young men and boys. Gacy's double life as a successful businessman and community member in Chicago masked his dark and disturbing actions.Gacy often lured his victims by promising them work or money, and he would then trap and restrain them. Many of his victims were subjected to sexual assault and torture before their eventual murders. Gacy's method of killing involved strangulation or asphyxiation, and he often buried his victims' bodies beneath his house or discarded them in nearby rivers. The discovery of Gacy's crimes in 1978 shocked the nation. Law enforcement uncovered the remains of his victims in and around his property, and Gacy was arrested and subsequently convicted in 1980. He was sentenced to death and spent years appealing his conviction.Gacy's charismatic and seemingly normal exterior contrasted starkly with the heinous acts he committed, earning him the moniker "Killer Clown" due to his involvement in local events as a volunteer clown performer at children's parties. In 1994, John Wayne Gacy was executed by lethal injection in Illinois.(commercial at 7:31)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/5080327/advertisement

One of the most pressing challenges to Christianity is the problem of evil. Unbelievers are quick to ask how Christians can believe in the existence of a good God in the face of so much evil. In this session, Dr. John MacArthur will examine what Scripture teaches regarding evil and suffering and why it exists in the world. The Sandwich Weekly Podcast Episode 7. Activities and events from Friday June 21 through Thursday July 4 Hello again and welcome to the Sandwich Weekly Podcast. This is Episode 7, covering activities and events in and around Sandwich for the period Friday June 21 through Thursday July 4. And now, this weeks tidbit of Sandwich history… It’s not commonly known, the Sandwich area played an instrumental role in the Underground Railroad. In case your knowledge of 19th century American History is a bit weak, the Underground Railroad was a network of secret routes and safe houses established in the United States during the early to mid–1800s. It was used by African-American slaves to escape into free states and Canada with the aid of abolitionists and others who were sympathetic to their cause. The William Eddy home on Somonauk Creek was one of the underground stations (or safe houses), as were the Beveridge home in Somonauk and the Stewards’ home in Plano. Escaping slaves usually entered Illinois from Missouri and traveled north to Chicago on their way to freedom in Canada. One route passed along the present line of the Burlington Railway. Feedback on episode 3 was mixed. Some are enjoying it and for others the disappointing nature of Shamar's influence has cast a negative funk over the show. For those that enjoyed it, the highlights centered on Laura, Sherri, Corrine, Malcolm and Andrea's choices. The finding of the remaining OPII, pre-emptive attack on Corrine, handling of Shamar, and management of the votes provided ample topics for strategic speculation. It is not clear yet if the fans can save themselves from self destruction, but most of you seem to think their utter destruction is imminent. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty three fans shared their thoughts on episode 3 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Rhonda, Brian, Trey, Michelle, Sandi, Evil John, Lil' Russ, Carolyn, Clifton, Tyler, Samantha, James, Drew, Michael, Boston Mark, Jeremiah, Aaron, BrandonB, BrandonA, Jen, Josh, Paul, and Jody. The verdict is in and you agreed that this was a good solid, first episode for the season. Now it is time to see how you did with your JABBIC predictions and weigh in on what you think of the cast now that we finally got to see them in action. Malcolm and Denise did not disappoint and scored well with many of you. RC was another standout and several of us had to admit that we misjudged Angie and Dawson. Zane's sense of humor will be missed, but it looks like we got a good cast this season. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. The time has arrived to take one last look back at Survivor One World. We all agree that Kim was a deserving winner. Opinions vary on where she, the rest of the cast and the season as a whole compares with past seasons, but most everyone acknowledges that she pulled off an impressive, dominating win by any standards. We will be on break until September when season 25, Survivor Philippines, makes its debut. Until then have a great break. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Kat's first "wake up call" came on day 5 at the tribal council in episode 2. The Salani tribe was deciding between voting out Kat or Nina. When asked if they would choose the same day one alliance members if they could do it again, Kim, Chelsea and Sabrina all said no. Kat's second wake up call came in the reward challenge in episode 11 when she got the most votes for a castaway, wait for it, most in need of a "wake up call". The last call came in this episode when she was blindsided while laughing at how funny blindsides are. Kat's antics did provide lots of fuel for your quips and jokes this week, and for that we are thankful. You guys also managed to find a scenario where everyone left in the game, even Christina, could end up winning, and we didn't think that was possible. Nice work! The likes of Christina and Tarzan stump most all of us. They don't seem to have a role to play in the game. As much as we wish for a misfits alliance, there seems little chance of it ever happening with this crew. Many lamented the elimination of Troyzan, and others found it predictable given that he couldn't curb his emotions enough to build an alliance to take on queen Kim. It's not clear yet if her stumble this week will have any repercussions, but many of us hold out hope for a new challenger to arise, if only to add some drama to a such a dominant performance. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Lots of us want to cheer for the underdog as he does battle against the all powerful women's alliance, but his in your face celebrations and unwillingness to acknowledge the error of his ways makes it difficult to keep cheering for Team Troy. Many believe Christina and Alicia sealed their fate when they turned down Troy's ploy to take control, but a few hold out hope that they are working an as yet invisible alliance that would help explain their lack of initiative. His role on Survivor was largely insignificant, but we wish Leif luck on his quest to make it on to The Amazing Race. Sounds like Team SFP had a blast at the Reality Rally and raised a nice chunk of change for a great cause too. Congratulations and a gigantic thanks to Christy, Mark, Mike and Bob for representing the awesome community here at SFP! Whatever credit Jay had previously earned with the fans went out the window this week as he all but voted himself out of the game. It's official. The only person surprised that Michael was voted out, was Michael. It's seems clear that Kim is playing at a different level than everyone else in the game. Praise for her gameplay in this episode was abundant, but some are skeptical that she can maintain it all the way to the end. Episode 6 brought an end to a particularly dark story arc from this season, and also the transition to a new beginning with the onset of the merge. Regardless of how he exited the game, a lot of folks expressed how glad they were to to see Colton go. In keeping with the diversity of views here though, some were sad to see him leave and wondered at how it might have played out if he stayed. As for the future, there were several theories offered as to who will betray previous allegiances to form the new controlling faction as we head into the second, distinct phase of the game. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Episode 5 brought what some saw as the inevitable tribal shuffle. Random shuffles sometimes lead to unbalanced results which many would agree is a good description of what we witnessed. A lot of you are convinced that New Manono does not stand a chance. There were some interesting predictions for who might survive this carnage, and lots of us are still hoping for a Colton blindside to restore harmony to the show. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. To say that events in episode 4 touched a nerve is putting it lightly. Unfortunately, one of the castaways this season harbors a very dark and ugly side that was brought into the open this week for all to see. It prompted a range of responses from immediate and strong revulsion to Colton, to abject bewilderment at the actions of the Manono tribe and even some possible scenarios to put the aberrant behavior in perspective. Fans from around the world, from a broad range age groups and different walks of life came together this week to put one of the most bizarre episodes in the history of Survivor into perspective. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. The Salani tribe ended their losing streak in episode 3, but as several of you pointed out it might not have been something they could fully take credit for. A couple of fans believe the men may have thrown the reward challenge. The women certainly benefited from being able to see all the progress the men had made on the tree puzzle in the Immunity challenge too. If you want to take a easy path to becoming a villain on the show and have the fans turn on you, one of the simplest things you can do is demonstrate an attitude of entitlement and an unwillingness to help others. It is certainly working against the women this episode, but none of them came close to Colton. Most fans are already calling for his head and wishing for a crushing blindside. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. The second episode served to further highlight the problems in the Salani tribe which prompted lots of discussion about the value of day one alliances and the right time to disband one. The appeal of Colton appears to be wearing off, and quite a few fans question his strategic ability. Opinions were split on Kat. Most thought her alliance would be much better off without her, but some found her clueless antics so entertaining they want her to stay around. On the whole, most folks are continuing to enjoy this season. Let's hope for more of the same in episode 3! Episode 7 qualifies as the most controversial so far. The two returning players remain at the center of the controversy. Coach's over the top religious zealousness combined with his plot to deceive Brandon through prayer resulted in many fans calling him out as a hypocrite. The general, over abundance of religious content this season is wearing thin for many as well, regardless of their religious affiliation. Quite a few of you weighed in to rate Ozzy's bold play. Most of you think it was a poor strategic choice while acknowledging the potential to make history. Last but not least, Cochran is rapidly losing his fan base, but not all have given up on him, yet. Season twenty three keeps delivering, and as the "seesaw" affect continued through episode six, it kicked off a flurry of predictions from you for what we can expect next. Jim's fans are hanging tough with him and pleased with the results, and don't forget Dawn, Edna and Cochran. Four big themes jumped out of the feedback on episode 5 this week. The gross out factor of the immunity challenge prompted many folks to suggest that the producers retire this one. Support for Cochran is waining. Many asked, "Has he actually done anything to merit our support?" The backlash against Ozzy which started last week continues as Cochran stoked the fires with his pronouncement of laziness and the preview for the next episode suggesting that Ozzy would declare himself a free agent. Several of you were singing Jim's praises and highlighted him as the real mastermind behind the Savaii power shift. We got mixed reports on episode 4. A lot of you really enjoyed it, but a few, not so much. One thing that came through loud and clear this week is that Ozzy is rapidly losing fan support. The old assessments of arrogance and over confidence are back again along with at least one clear scenario that could see him lose the majority advantage in his tribe. Edna certainly gained some empathy votes this week, and Brandon continues to stir the debate as to just how much like his uncle he actually is. The strong episodes continue with week 2, and judging from your feedback, a lot of us are thrilled to have so many in the cast this season that actually appear to be playing the game with some gusto. Brandon's bizzare behaviour continues to be a centerpiece for discussion. The first episode of Survivor South Pacific is behind us, and it's time to see what you thought about it. One theme came through loud and clear this week, we're disappointed in many of the fans. Cochran, Christine and Dawn in particular all managed to commit some egregious errors for folks that should know better. Rick and Sophie managed to escape unscathed. Many of us believe the countdown to Brandon's implosion is underway too. He's all but set himself up for a fall. We were unanimous in loving the 90 minute episode. More please! For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, which will start again after the first buff gets burned at Redemption Arena, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. We're days away from the first episode of Survivor South Pacific. Trying to recognize 16 new castaways can be daunting at the beginning of a new season. We've got just what you need to get to know the new cast. We start by listing our first impressions of each player, and try to predict how well they'll do in the game. This is Part 2 of our "Judge a Book by its Cover" show. Twenty eight fans, just like you, recorded their perspective on the new cast including their choice of favorites, who's most likely to get voted out first, make the merge, make a comeback via Redemption Island as well as who has what it takes to win it all. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great JABBIC show. That's a wrap! It was great to hear from so many of you regarding the finale and your thoughts on the season in general. The respect for the Robfather's ability to pull off the win and dominate the whole season was evident in your responses. Not surprisingly, the degree of how much you enjoyed the whole season varied with how much of a fan you were of Boston Rob. Some folks like the Redemption Island concept and hold out hope that it can improve. Others, not so much. By far, the recommendation we liked the best was to expand the show to two hour episodes! For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. We got another episode that polarized the audience this week. Some really enjoyed it, especially the grueling Immunity challenge. Others continued to find it predictable with Andrea being the first target. There was also a split this week when it came to predictions for who will go next between Grant and Ashley. The argument to keep Grant to help fight off the RI threat makes a lot of sense. So does the rationale that says Rob will want to remove him as soon as you can because he views him as the biggest remaining threat among the Ometepe players. We agree with you. Episode 10 was quite the mixed bag. One person came to Phillip's defense, but the majority think he was way off base but certainly a great person to have sitting next to you in a final Tribal Council. Rob seems to have the perfect foils in Phillip and Natalie. Rob can play as cut throat as he needs to when it comes time for the former Ometepe members to turn on each other, and he could still come away with the votes to win with kooky Phillip and Natalie the parrot with him at the end. Episode 9 with its two challenges, and two tribal councils left many of you feeling rushed and somewhat unfulfilled as no one actually left the game. A few said it was boring and predictable as the demise of the original Zapatera tribe follows its course. We agreed with the good points several of you made about the tradeoffs of keeping Redemption Island after the merge versus the value of the Reward challenges. We especially enjoyed hearing your ideas for how the Zapatera members might be able to find a weak point to exploit in the cult of Rob.   The merge really fueled your fire this week. Most of you were thrilled with the results. Matt seems to have lost a lot of his Redemption Island luster.   What a difference a single episode can make to an entire season. A week ago the LF show was primarily about how we don't have anyone likeable to root for. Now, Jane made a complete turn around by winning immunity again, and we can't seem to say enough about how refreshing it was to see Holly and NaOnka serve a major dose of come uppance to what appeared to be a completely over confident Brenda. Reminder:This week will be a recap show. There is no Tribal Council. We will be back with the podcast on Wednesday, December 1st which is also when your next JSFL picks are due. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty four shared their thoughts on episode 10 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Brad, Crystal, Charissa, Joni, Tim, John, Mario, Lil' Russ, Carolyn, Brian, Jimmy, Samantha, Eric, Roger, Drew, Jen, Matt, Jeremiah, Jennifer, Lianne, Chris, Alice, Dee Dee and Paul.   There was a common theme in the feedback this week. We heard loud and clear that you're having trouble finding anyone left to root for amongst the remaining castaways. One fan went so far as to compare Nicaragua to the extremly disappointing Fiji season. Jane's popularity continues to plummet, and we all wonder what she will do now that she does not have Marty to focus on. If you have not already seen it, make sure to check out Purple Kelly's "I woke up on day 23" extra video. It's an instant classic! Don't you wish you picked her for your USB now? For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game.   Jane's bloodlust to vote out Marty and her willingness to show off in the challenge had many of you re-thinking her prospects in the game. It was also no surprise that very little if anything postivie was said about NaOnka. Another recurring theme is the question of how long can Sash and Brenda hold it together before turning on each other. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game.   Marty's actions managed to divide us again. Some thought his choice to hand over the immunity idol made perfect sense, and others didn't hesitate to compare him to the famous ice cream scooper from Hell, Michigan. As expected Purple Kelly's first confessional was a resounding hit, enjoyed by one and all. Judd and NaOnka continued to polarize the fans, but most everyone supported Jane's private feast.   Double elminations are a necessity when they start with 20 castaways instead of the original 16. This one came with a twist, the rare tie vote at Tribal Council. Some of you found logic in the decision to take out Kelly B over Marty, many others were not conviced. A lot of us remained quite stumped by that vote. Holly was recognized for her performance and many called this the best episode of the season to date.   Marty, Jimmy T, Brenda and NaOnka were the focus of episode 4. They gave us plenty to talk about and speculate on.   The second episode of Survivor Nicaragua was loaded with drama and action. Team crazy made an appearance and we got to see the irrational side of many of the castaways. You voted NaOnka, Holly and the reveal of Dan's $1600 shoes among the all star moments. No one seemed sorry to see Shannon go, but a few thought it might have been strategic error. The fans of Jimmy Johnson kept singing his praises but are worried that Marty will target him as an early vote out choice. Fabio continues to entertain and kept many of us asking, "is he really that simple or is it an act"? A lot of you believe that Russell sealed his fate in this episode. The attacks on Rupert and Danielle were indications that he still has not mastered the art of winning the jury. Others saw it as nothing more than further evidence of his dominance in the game. The contrasting views are abundant. Several of you asked if maybe Colby is actually playing smart and under the radar even offering evidence of this fact when most of us are willing to write him off for continually disappointing us. That is exactly why we offer the LF feedback show, so we can all benefit from different perspectives and sometimes gain validation for our theories about what has happened and what we can expect next through the eyes of others! For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Thirty one fans shared their thoughts on episode 12 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. There were two big themes in the feedback for episode four. Many were sad to see Cirie go although most of us expected it sooner rather than later. We were pretty unanimous in our appreciation of how it all went down. Major league strategy, regardless of the outcome, will always be respected by the true fans. The other point of discussion centered on Coach. Those that "drank the koolaid" found it endearing. The other group had a really good laugh.   Today is our podcast birthday! We're officially 5 years old today, and we're so happy we could enjoy it together with you. The first episode of Heroes vs. Villains has aired, and it's time to see what you thought about it. We all, with one exception, really enjoyed the extended two hour episode. There were many common questions such as: who's Danielle, what season was Candice in, and why did they get all the extra clothes and supplies? Many were split on being happy or sad to see Coach again, likewise for Parviti, Amanda and Tyson. Did your pre-season picks change or were you happy with how accurate they were? For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Thirty seven fans shared their thoughts on episode 1 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show.
