What were you doing a few weeks after your 18th birthday? For Jaharie Osborne, the answer is… completing a full Ironman! Dared by friends and fueled by curiosity, Jaharie jumped headfirst—literally—into one of the toughest endurance challenges on earth. No fancy gear. No years of structured training. Just raw determination, youthful energy, and a whole lot of beginner's luck. In this episode, we dive into Jaharie's incredible journey from high school student to Ironman finisher, exploring how a simple dare turned into a defining life experience. From swimming 12 miles in Lake Tahoe to tackling the Ironman California with regular sneakers and a rental bike, Jaharie's story is the ultimate reminder that sometimes the boldest step you can take is the first one. You'll hear about his moments of doubt, his encounters with strangers who became race-day motivators, and how the spirit of community, from family support to the Fresno Black Chamber of Commerce, carried him across the finish line. Plus, you'll learn how Jaharie used ChatGPT (yes, really!) to build his own training plan, and how his Ironman experience is shaping his next big goal: becoming a Navy SEAL. This episode is a celebration of grit, heart, and the power of saying “why not?” Whether you're training for your first triathlon or just need a push to start something new, Jaharie's story will inspire you to dare bigger and believe deeper. He was handsome, daring, and utterly reckless, the man who stole the heart of England's greatest queen in her final years, and then broke it. Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex, was born on this day in 1565. He rose from ambitious courtier to Elizabeth I's beloved favourite - charming, bold, and impossible to ignore. But his pride and defiance would destroy him. I'm historian and author Claire Ridgway, and in this episode we'll trace the rise and ruin of the Queen's “darling of her old age”: his dangerous ambition, his disastrous rebellion, and the shocking betrayal that ended with an axe on Tower Green. Was Robert Devereux a tragic hero, or the author of his own destruction? Watch until the end to decide for yourself. While mainstream outlets celebrate emotional footage of Israeli hostages reuniting with loved ones, Lee dives into the story they refuse to air — the 2,000 Hamas terrorists released in exchange, returning to Gaza as conquering heroes. In this explosive breakdown, he exposes how Western media sanitized the reality of this “peace deal,” the risks it poses for Israel, and the dangerous precedent it sets for U.S. national security. From Biden's hesitation to Trump's high-stakes dealings with Qatar, the episode pulls no punches in revealing what's really at stake — and why it's being buried.

Have you ever gotten a negative review on something you've made or your business? Received a one-star rating? Dared to venture into the comment section—or worse—overheard someone trashing your work? It's a law of the universe: haters are inevitable the moment you take a stance, make yourself visible, or grow in ways that challenge others' comfort or self image. In reality, most hate isn't really about you. It's what you represent. You're the one who took the risk. You're being seen. You're being recognized. And that shakes the stands they're still sitting in—watching, critiquing, but never stepping foot in the arena themselves. This episode will help you separate noise from feedback, ugliness from something worth reflecting on, and how to tell when criticism should be used as locker room motivation—or ignored entirely. In today's show, Brett will address this long overdue and fascinating case study in human nature, and cover: The deeper reasons people lash out—and what it has to do with power and control Why some criticism feels louder than it is—and how it spreads through social currency How to filter what deserves reflection vs what's just emotional noise When to use negativity as fuel—and when to let it die in silence Why consistency outlasts every critic—and what happens when you fade with them If you've ever found yourself doubting what you're doing because of someone's throwaway comment... Or if you've ever wondered whether to clap back, make adjustments, or just put your head down and move forward—this one's for you. Whether you love the episode or hate it (see what we did there), we love hearing from you. If you have any questions you'd like answered or want to hear more about a certain topic, shoot us an email at info@artofcoaching.com.
What does it really mean to question the status quo? This week, we're sitting down with Dared Price, a pharmacy owner who's taking PBM reform from South Kansas all the way to Capitol Hill. Dared's resumé is extensive: he's started multiple pharmacies, built impressive clinical programs, and created a transparent PBM model that helped over 100 employer groups cut prescription costs. Lately, though, he's turned his attention to PBM reform—and he's already making waves: speaking at the White House, meeting with the Federal Trade Commission, and pushing for legislative change in the highest offices. In this episode, we dive into real-world wins in PBM reform, up-and-coming challenges, and how Dared is working to dismantle a broken system to build a better one. https://oreadrx.com/ 00:00 – Intro & Guest Intro 01:02 – Starting OreadRx 09:56 – Unbundling Benefits 14:14 – Working with Employers 21:22 – Kansas Policy Wins 28:27 – Speaking at the White House 36:58 – PBM Market Insights 42:40 – Future of Pharmacy Hosted By: Mark Bivins | Chief Growth Officer, RedSail Technologies Guest: Dared Price | President, Price Pharmacies Inc. Long before press freedom indexes were even conceived, the Urdu newspaper Pratap was speaking truth to power in undivided India — and paying a heavy price for it. Launched in 1919, Pratap quickly ran afoul of the British Raj but remained defiantly independent. After independence, its legacy continued with the launch of Vir Pratap, its Hindi successor. But how fearless did these publications remain after independence? This week, host Sandip Roy speaks to Chander Mohan, who served as editor of Vir Pratap for forty years, and his daughter Jyotsna Mohan, a journalist with nearly three decades of experience, to explore the journey and enduring impact of these pioneering publications.Produced by Shashank BhargavaEdited and mixed by Suresh Pawar

Outlouders, do you remember Holly and Mia's obsession with the TV show In Vogue: The 90s? We have a little treat for you today... and it's a conversation that Mia had supermodel Paulina Porizkova on No Filter. For many years Paulina Porizkova was the most recognised face in fashion & beauty - from her iconic Sports Illustrated cover to being the face of Estee Lauder. When she married rock star Ric Ocastek from the iconic band, The Cars. From the outside looking in, it seemed like she was living the dream. To look at her, she really did seem like the woman who had it all. But while Paulina was as visible as you could be…she didn’t feel like she was being heard. Not by the photographers and fashion people, not by producers and directors, and not by her husband, Ric. But then, during COVID, she became known to a whole new generation of women for an unlikely reason…crying on Instagram. And as you’re about to hear - Paulina had a lot of really good reasons to cry. (But, she also gets the last laugh). When Paulina hit her low point, she shared her grief and pain - and tears - with Instagram. As you’ll hear, Paulina had a lot of reasons to cry (and a lot of new reasons to laugh). When she married rock star Ric Ocastek from the iconic band, The Cars. From the outside looking in, it seemed like she was living the dream. To look at her, she really did seem like the woman who had it all. But while Paulina was as visible as you could be…she didn't feel like she was being heard. Not by the photographers and fashion people, not by producers and directors, and not by her husband, Ric. But then, during COVID, she became known to a whole new generation of women for an unlikely reason…crying on Instagram. And as you're about to hear - Paulina had a lot of really good reasons to cry. (But, she also gets the last laugh). When Paulina hit her low point, she shared her grief and pain - and tears - with Instagram. As you'll hear, Paulina had a lot of reasons to cry (and a lot of new reasons to laugh). You can follow Paulina on Instagram here You can order Paulina's book, No Filter, here. In 1872, decades before women were legally allowed to vote, Victoria Woodhull made an audacious run for the White House. The press ridiculed her stance on 'free love' and she spent election night in jail. But she had put the first small crack in one of the thickest glass ceilings around. Twelve years later Belva Lockwood, the first woman to argue before the Supreme Court, took another swing at it. We celebrate Election Day with a look back at some of the first women who dared to run for the highest office in the United States, including Sen. Margaret Chase Smith and Rep. Shirley Chisholm. They ran against long odds, but they had grit and they got the ball rolling. With Smithsonian curator Lisa Kathleen Graddy, and journalism historian Teri Finneman.See the portraits we discussed:Victoria Woodhull, unidentified artistGet Thee Behind Me, (Mrs.) Satin! by Thomas NastBelva Lockwood, by Nellie Mathes HorneMargaret Chase Smith, by Ernest Hamlin BakerShirley Chisholm, unidentified artistFurther reading:Press Portrayals of Women Politicians, 1870s - 2000s, by Teri Finneman Belva Lockwood: The Woman Who Would Be President, by Jill NorgrenThe Woman Who Ran for President: The Many Lives of Victoria Woodhull, by Lois Beachy UnderhillNo Place For A Woman: A Life of Senator Margaret Chase Smith, by Janann ShermanThe Good Fight, by Shirley ChisholmShirley Chisholm: Champion of Black Feminist Power Politics, by Anastasia C.
