Tap to send me your reflections ♡In this final episode of Season 17, I share a gentle reflection before stepping into my August break – a time I've been honouring for many years now as a way of resetting and softening. But this year, I've been particularly aware of one thing: dopamine. And more specifically, how our phones – and work, and even exercise – can give us such powerful hits that we risk missing the deeper nourishment that comes with stillness, rest and real presence. So I'm exploring what happens when we don't reach for the phone… when we rest, reset, and gently recalibrate our systems. This episode is part musing, part intention-setting, part conversation with you. I talk about the Finding the More Abundant Way group coming to a close, the beautiful connection that forms in these small, deep spaces… and how rest – whether for a month or a moment – invites us to step out of our usual patterns and remember what truly feeds us.If you're wondering how to soften your own habits this summer, or simply want to share this pause with me, settle in and listen – and see where the episode takes you.Support the show*** A piece of quietYour weekly pause - a calming relaxation practice, every Wednesday. Tap to send me your reflections ♡This week, I'm reflecting on abundance - not as magical thinking or wishful positivity, but as a deeply embodied trust in the resources, skills and love already within us, and around us.I talk about the Finding the More Abundant Way group work I've been running, the tenderness of turning toward our beliefs about lack, and how Flow Journaling can help us soften into a more spacious, compassionate mindset.I also share a journal entry from 2019 that still feels so true today - a reminder that the wisdom we write often circles back to meet us again. If you've been feeling tightly held by old beliefs or wondering how to step into the fullness of the space that's here for you, this might be a good listen. Tap to send me your reflections ♡I've been meaning to talk about this for a while – and then a conversation in my kitchen with a friend reminded me why it's such an important theme. In this episode, I'm exploring the power of cross-skilling – noticing how the skills we use in one part of our lives can help us in another. Sometimes we forget just how capable we already are because we keep parts of our lives too separate. What if we could gently bring more awareness to the strengths we already have and use them where we most need them? Here's what I cover:Why cross-skilling matters – and how we often miss the skills we already have. The “ant brain” – my way of describing how we can tune in deeply to what's happening around us (without falling into groupthink). The risk of unconscious patterns – how to avoid applying old, unhelpful strategies, like people-pleasing, without realising.A real-life example of discovering hidden skills – how a client realised they were far better at admin than they believed, simply by looking in a different part of their life. The role of motivation and nuance – and why it's not about doing everything everywhere, but about consciously choosing what supports us.If you've ever felt stuck or believed you don't have the right skills to face a challenge, this might open up a new way of looking at it.Henny xSHORT COURSE: Understanding Boundaries - free 5-day audio courseSupport the show*** A piece of quietYour weekly pause - a calming private podcast with a Flow Journaling prompt, every Wednesday lunchtime.Join here & receive 20% off your first year Let's stay connected Sign up to hear more - and only receive what speaks to you. Tap to send me your reflections ♡This is a full-hearted, creative, slightly giddy episode - recorded just after I finished the first piece for A Piece of Quiet, my new private, subscription-only podcast. There's so much newness stirring right now. The LoveWords cards are out in the world, my year-long group coaching programme is quietly filling behind the scenes, and now my new weekly pause - in audio form - for reflection, stillness and self-connection, is almost ready to enter the world. In this episode, I reflect on the power of creativity - why it matters so much (especially now), and how it doesn't need to be complicated or grand. I share a poem I wrote recently, which many of you responded to on Instagram, and talk about the joy of creating something we genuinely love. This one's a celebration of everything that's softly blooming. In this episode, I talk about:The three offerings I've been birthing - and why they matter so much to meThe story behind LoveWords, my simple oracle card set for intuitive reflectionWhy creativity is a core human need - not just a nice-to-haveA new poem (that I've fallen a bit in love with) and the joy of sharing itThe quiet power of A Piece of Quiet - and how to be part of itSupport the show*** Let's stay connected. Tap to send me your reflections ♡How do you feel about oracle cards?Love them? Dislike them? Unsure about them? For me, I see them as another tool that can help us access our own inner wisdom. In this episode, I share the story of how I reconnected with a long-lost set of Angel cards - and how that unexpected reunion became part of the change journey I've been on ever since. It's an episode about openness, intuition, and how we can work with simple tools in ways that deepen self-awareness and connection.I talk about that first life-changing retreat, how oracle cards became part of my daily practice, and why I've created my own set — LoveWords — which are now finally ready to share with you. Hurray! If you're curious about how to use these modern oracle cards in a grounded, playful, personal way - maybe to inspire your Flow Journaling or as part of a mindfulness practice - this one's for you.In this episode I explore:The moment I chose to lay down emotional baggage - and what changed when I didHow oracle cards became part of my Flow Journaling practiceWhy resistance to spiritual tools often hides something worth exploringHow LoveWords from Henny were born - and the beautiful ways people are using themA gentle invitation to meet your own intuition, in your own wayOrder Your LoveWords here! https://www.hennyflynn.co.uk/lovewords-from-henny Watch / listen to that Soulla Episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsAEbtANNdkSupport the show*** Let's stay connected. Tap to send me your reflections ♡This episode began with me reaching for a journal from the shelf - and by chance, I picked up the very first one I ever wrote in when Flow Journaling was becoming a daily practice for me.I opened it at random… and landed on Day 21.What I found was a tender glimpse into who I was back then - and some insight into the foundations of how I live and work now. In this episode, I share that early entry, and reflect on what it means to revisit our past selves with gentleness. I talk about meditation, the deep longing for safety (for ourselves and others), and the quiet power of seeing how far we've come. This is an episode about the value of reflection - not to get things right, but to be with whatever's true in the moment.Key reflections in this episode:How journaling and meditation support each other as practices of presence and self-compassionWhy inner work isn't linear - and how spirals of change are part of the journeyThe deep desire so many of us share for safety - and the ache that can come with witnessing sufferingThe quiet strength of giving ourselves space between stimulus and responseHow powerful it can be to revisit our past selves with love, curiosity and careViktor Frankl: "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom."***

Tap to send me your reflections ♡This episode wasn't planned (hmmm - that seems to be a theme!)I'd actually already recorded something else, but when I sat down to share it, I realised it simply wasn't what I really wanted to say. Not today. So I began again. And what came was this: a call to hold things lightly.Ourselves. The inner Work. The world. This doesn't mean we don't take what we see seriously, or that we condone or ignore the challenging things unfolding around us. It simply means we hold it all with a lighter, loving touch. If you've been feeling called to do the inner work, but there's fear that it might be all too much — maybe this is the call you've been waiting for. We can do this work, with love.If you're ready to step toward your Self in this lighter way, please do connect. I would love to support you, as you navigate whatever inner Work is calling you.***

Tap to send me your reflections ♡This week, I'm sharing thoughts on the doubt that can come (in waves!) when we're creating something new.I talk about the (very human) conflicting thoughts that show up alongside our excitement and joy when we're bringing something into the world – whether it's a project, a course, a work of art, or simply a new way of living.I speak openly about fear, self-trust, and the need for spaces that feel safe enough to hold all of it – not just the polished parts. And though I don't name it outright (yet), I also begin to share more about something new that's taking shape behind the scenes – something rooted in reflection, connection and journaling. If you're curious, I'd love to share more with you when the time is right. You'll also hear:A reflection from the Hopes & Dreams courseWhy we sometimes need to revisit our past successesThe surprising value of letting old corporate strategies evolve into more soulful onesThe outcome from a journaling prompt that feels a little like a personal manifestoIf we're not yet connected through the mailing list, and you're curious to know more about what's unfolding, please do sign up. In the Bible, knowing your season" means understanding the current period or phase of your life that God has ordained, recognizing that just like the natural seasons on Earth, your life will experience periods of growth, harvest, rest, and renewal, each with its own unique purpose and challenges, and requiring different actions from you to align with God's plan for that time. Each season is considered purposeful, meaning God has a specific design and intention for what you are experiencing in that phase of life To "know your season" requires spiritual discernment to recognize where you are in your life journey and how to respond accordingly. There's something really profound about maturing as a leader and as a believer—we stop letting the enemy play out scenarios that are catastrophic. Faith and trust can guide us through life's uncertainties, even when we don't have all the answers or a clear vision of the future. Trusting in God means believing in his goodness, even when we can't see the full picture. Now is the time for us to progress beyond the basic message of Christ and advance into perfection. The foundation has already been laid for us to build upon: turning away from our dead works to embrace faith in God.-Hebrews 6:1 Tune into God's Vibes to learn how to stop fight the wrong battles and restore hope for your future --& share this word with someone who needs to hear it! Taking risks is a part of faith and so are expectation hangovers... Disappointment, when we discipline it, becomes reappointment. When we allow anything and everything to draw us closer to the Lord, we discover He backs us up! God makes a way where there seems to be no way and turns what looks like an impossible situation into a miraculous victory. The enemy came in like a flood, but God is raising a standard against him in your life (Isaiah 59:19). You will see that the very things that came to destroy you will be transformed into the tools He will use to bless you and bless others through you. Does this sound like you? I feel guilty for not for setting a boundary I feel guilty for no longer choosing to enable somebody I feel guilty for no longer choosing to give what others have expected or felt entitled to You're not obligated to keep doing something for somebody if you don't want to—you weren't obligated to in the first place. Many people will not react well when you stop doing something for them, when you did something for them. Sometimes when you do things out of the kindness of your heart, other people may try to make you think you owe them something you never owed them and sometimes you actually need to take care of yourself and don't have extra to pour out, particularly to people that never reciprocate. The Dumbo neighborhood in Brooklyn is a vibrant, albeit crowded and touristy, spot to take in views of Manhattan, explore the waterfront, and enjoy some delicious food. Where is Dumbo? It encompasses two sections: one situated between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, which connect Brooklyn to Manhattan across the East River, and another extending eastward from the Manhattan Bridge to the Vinegar Hill area. Why Is It Called Dumbo? Dumbo stands for "Down under Manhattan Bridge overpass" and was said to be coined in the '90s by locals to make the neighborhood sound less desirable to developers. 1- Walk the Brooklyn Bridge It's crowded but worth it; try to go at off-times. You can walk in from the Manhattan side across the Brooklyn Bridge into Dumbo! 2- Timeout Market Spread across 24,000 square feet, the curated dining destination packs multiple eateries, three bars, a fifth-floor rooftop, and art installations into one space that encompasses the best food, drinks, and culture that New York has to offer. 3- Evil Twin Brewing Their flagship brewery is in Ridgewood in Brooklyn, but their Dumbo location boasts almost 20 local beers on tap. This Episode's You'll Have to Check It Out Segment - Bargemusic Since 1977, Bargemusic has presented chamber music in an unlikely and startlingly beautiful venue—a floating barge at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. Now that in-person events are back in full force, it's important to ensure our events are environmentally friendly. This is a great way to cut costs at your event while also doing your part to help keep waste from piling up in landfills. In this episode, Dave Biderman (https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-biderman-5135646/), former executive director and CEO of the Solid Waste Association of North America (https://swana.org/), explains that communication serves a key role in making your events green. With eight years of experience in his role at SWANA, he's seen firsthand how much of an impact cutting waste can have on the environment as a whole. Informing guests about recycling procedures will help to decrease the waste that ends up in a landfill after your event. You'll also find out how incorporating recycling needs with the hosting facility during contract negotiations will help you better understand how to plan your recycling efforts. In this episode, you'll learn: How reducing physical materials will reduce both cost and waste Why it's important to make recycling at events convenient Why carpeting could be an unnecessary cost for your events

It's a new venture after all, and you need to reach as many people as possible in order to achieve your goal of selling more products or services. The trick is to stand out from the crowd without spending too much money at the same time. The good news is that there are many ways to do this without breaking the bank. There are so many companies looking for ways to grow that almost every day someone comes out with a new marketing strategy that they think will take their business somewhere. However, not all of these strategies work in every situation and not all of them are cheap either. In this blog post, we'll be discussing 5 different startup marketing strategies you can use when launching your own company. 1 Paid AdvertisingPaid advertising, such as Google AdWords, can be an excellent source of leads for your business, but it can also be very expensive. One way to mitigate the cost is to use a bidding system where you set a maximum you're willing to pay based on particular keywords. The trick is to find the right keywords that are relevant to your business and get good conversion rates. If you're selling cabling services, you might use keywords like “cable installation near me” and “best electrical contractor”. You can also use negative keywords like “no electrical contractor” and “no cable installation near me” if you want to avoid being displayed next to services you don't offer. 2 Free Events and Meet-upsHolding meet-ups and events in your local area can be a great way to reach out to your target market. If you have a large enough budget, you might be able to book a venue. If not, consider using a co-working space. You can also ask to use a space owned by a university or other large institution in your area. You might not be able to use the space for free, but you might be able to negotiate a discounted rate. You can also reach out to your local chamber of commerce and other organizations and ask if you can promote your event at their location. You might even want to consider offering a free membership or other incentive for groups that let you use their space. 3 Email MarketingEmail marketing is a tried and true marketing strategy that many businesses use to build their customer base and keep those customers coming back for more. The trick is to not overdo it and send out emails that are too frequent, otherwise your customers will likely start blocking your emails....

FREE events attract a much larger number of registrations to your events and invites anyone available to attend. But when someone hasn't laid out cash for their ticket, their commitment is low and they are less likely to show up to your event. This can make it pretty difficult to plan an event when you don't know how many people may show up on the day of your event. In this episode, we will be talking with Zoe Perkins @ Vodka on Toast about the pros and cons of free vs. paid events and how we can reduce the no-shows at our free events. We will be discussing whether free events attract more interest than paid events, people's attitudes and engagement at free events, how to manage numbers when it's a free event and you anticipate dropout, regional differences in dropout numbers, and how we can reduce the dropout at free events.
