Love the show? Have any thoughts? Click here to let us know! This week, we venture into the haunting landscapes of Utah for a spine-chilling double feature. First, Lauren explores the dark and eerie past of the Old Tooele Hospital—also known as Asylum 49. What was once a place of healing is now considered one of the most haunted locations in the state. From ghostly apparitions to aggressive spirits and shadowy figures, this former hospital has a long history of paranormal activity that blurs the line between the living and the dead. Then, Kenzie brings us the third and final installment of her deep dive into the Great Basin Murders. In this episode, we focus on the victims found in Utah—women whose lives were tragically cut short and whose cases remain unsolved. As we trace the patterns, examine the evidence, and consider potential suspects, we're left wondering if these killings are the work of one traveling predator—or something even more unsettling. 80° tomorrow. 42° and snow on Monday. Welcome to the Midwest. It's the unofficial start to the weekend today and in the news this morning, a bunch of Kohl's locations will close this weekend throughout the country, new Mega Millions rules are coming that will increase the minimum jackpot, Dollar Tree is selling off Family Dollar, a popular shampoo is being recalled because it might contain bacteria, and a La Crosse man is facing several counts of possession of child pornography. In sports, the Bucks wrapped up their 5-game road trip with a loss in Denver, Major League Baseball's regular season OFFICIALLY starts today, the Sweet 16 kicks off tonight on CBS and you could score some free tots thanks to a kid on BYU, and the White Sox are already setting records! Elsewhere in sports, the Jordan rookie jersey just sold for a bunch of money, JJ Watt is going to be moving up the ladder at CBS this coming NFL season, and this might be the best cycle ever in baseball. We let you know what's on TV today/tonight and talked about the MCU unveiling of the "Avengers: Doomsday" cast. Plus, a live-action Scooby-Doo series is coming to Netflix! Talked to Office Cora this morning to see what she's up to this weekend in the 715, and we played another round of "Hypothetical Thursday". Brian's question for Jean was: "If you could uninvent one thing, what would it be & why?" Jean's question for Brian was: "If you won the lottery, what thing about your life wouldn't change?" Have you heard about these self-chilling cans? Talk about a game-changer! If you aren't totally sick of brackets yet, check out this tournament of hibernating bears that's being run by an animal charity. And speaking of animals, there's a new "World's Shortest Goat" Times are tough for a lot of people in America, so one metro driver in Philly has taken it upon herself to try & cheer residents up with "Tracy's Trolley" And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy in Milwaukee who was spiking a co-worker's soda with Super Glue, three teenagers who tried to kill their own mother after she turned off the WiFi at home, a kid in Kansas who told his babysitter that there was a monster under his bed…and the babysitter ended up finding a man under the kid's bed, and employees at a juvenile detention center in California are under investigation for "gladiator fights" between some of the inmates. We dive into a listener's trip to Savannah, Georgia—where a simple ghost tour quickly turned into a backstage pass to pure malice. One minute, you're browsing spooky history for fun; the next, you're trading verbal jabs with a phantom that clearly missed the memo on polite company. Was it the vengeful residue of a cruel plantation owner? Or a tormented spirit simply determined to share its suffering? And how do you scrub yourself clean of an encounter that leaves your energy feeling like it took a spin in a haunted blender? Prepare to question whether some places are just too filled with old horrors—and fresh nightmares—to wander in for “entertainment.” If you have a real ghost story or supernatural event to report, please write into our show or call 1-855-853-4802! Spirit Switchboard Episode #93 Jan. 31st, 2025 Topic: Duluth Ghost Tours Guest: Kimberly Christine This week Spirit Switchboard welcomes someone who fabulously wears many hats, Kimberly Christine, owner and operator of Duluth Ghost Tours. Kimberly will share her ghostly tales and experiences with us. Bring your snacks and bevies and join us in the chat! Guest Bio: "Kimberly Christine grew up in Duluth, MN and had some amazing adventures throughout the US pursuing her MFA degree in film and theater. Working for some big venues helping to create costume and special make up effects with Cirque du Soleil, Blue Man Group, small commercials and films. But, she started her paranormal journey in 2013 with a move to one of the most haunted cities, Savannah, GA. Here she was saturated with the paranormal and got to be part of an episode on Ghost Adventures at one of the haunted properties she worked at, The Gribble House. Eventually, she moved to Los Angeles and started her own haunted tour on Hollywood Blvd guiding others about the glittery dark side. She became a seasoned paranormal investigator, Reiki Master, and healer with a passion for exploring the unseen world for 3 yrs. Then a move to Lake Havasu City, AZ, she started a new tour at the London Bridge, eventually landing her a small feature once again on Ghost Adventures during the pandemic! But 5 yrs of desert life was exhausting and the seasons called, so she moved back home to Duluth, where she now leads immersive ghost tours that delve into the city's haunted history and supernatural lore. As an experienced healer, massage therapist, designer and Reiki Master, Kimberly helps others tap into their energy for self-discovery and spirit communication, blending mysticism with practical healing techniques and even designing accessories. Her work as a paranormal investigator bridges her love for history, energy work, and the mysteries of the quantum world and beyond. Whether guiding curious minds through eerie locations along Lake Superior or teaching the art of spiritual connection, Kimberly brings a unique mix of knowledge, intuition, and a touch of magic to all she does. Her decades-long, entrepreneurial skills, have her thinking about creating courses and coaching others to start up their own business in the paranormal field as she believes every city should have a haunted tour to entertain the spooky travelers in dark tourism no matter how small the town, there's always a passing need to educate and scare... Johlene “Spooky” Riley has been managing the Gettysburg Ghost Tours for over 15 years. She has always been fascinated by ghosts and was drawn to the job description. She went from being the premier tour guide to the manager of operations. “I have always had an interest in things I didn't. I didn't quite understand or couldn't explain.” The Gettysburg Ghost Tours has a connection to Gettysburg and the Civil War. There's a few Civil war soldiers that can be sensed on the tours. “Well, you're not going to have the same experience in any place that they're all different, obviously, due to the different landmarks that you're taking the guests to, the different types of spirits. You might go to a town that didn't have a civil war impact. So, you're going to get altogether different kind of activity.” The ghost's tours are endorsed by the Gettysburg Paranormal Association. It hosts professional run ghost hunts at private haunted locations. “We have about 15 indoor and outdoor exclusive locations now that we can take our guests where they don't have to be outside with public investigations, where you don't know how many people are going to be out there or the weather conditions or the intent of the people out there as well. So, we provide them with ghost hunting equipment. We teach them how to use it, and we're pretty proud about it. We're very proud of our organization and we're having a membership.” The Gettysburg Ghost tours cannot ensure that you will see a ghost while on tour, however they say you have a good chance of a ghostly encounter or photo along the routes. “The ghosts, I always say, are not on their payroll, so we don't know what they're going to do. And unlike people, because they were people at one point and they're just now in spirit form. They're drawn to some people more over than others. And that's just a fact. So, and sometimes they're grumpy just like people are, or they may just not they just may not be active at one particular location at that particular time. It comes down to being at the right place at the right time more than anything else.” Support WITF: https://www.witf.org/support/give-now/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Galveston, Texas, is often considered one of the most haunted places in America due to its history of tragedy and devastation.
