Du erlebst hautnah:- **Echtzeit-Display-Lesen (on the fly)**: Touchscreens von Druckern, Geräten oder Kassen sofort vorlesen. - Microsoft Copilot-AGB: "For entertainment purposes only" – also eigentlich nichts für den geschäftlichen Einsatz. Against the Machine hören will. In this episode, we go deep on a wild weekend of open hardware hacking across the 256 Foundation community. Skot walks us through getting Mujina running on an S19j Pro with Wi‑Fi via a hidden USB port, plus a USB hub and a repurposed open source touchscreen to display live hashrate, temps, and fan data—laying the groundwork for a tidy, Wi‑Fi‑connected, touchscreen miner retrofit. We also riff on AI‑assisted CAD and browser automation for rapid prototyping, and brainstorm practical home‑heating integrations: using LibreBoard as the bridge between standard 24V thermostats and miners, ramp control vs. binary heat calls, PID loops, and the real limits of tuning frequency on different firmwares and machines. Beyond the bench, we celebrate Schnitzel's Doom-on‑LibreBoard test, discuss the path to open firmware on WhatsMiners, and the hardware hacks that open firmware makes obsolete (farewell, trick boards). We hit PSU mods for 120V, LuxOS's new “ignore PSU link” option, Stratum V2 progress including BlitzPool's solo pool and non‑custodial PPLNS roadmap, and what a node‑native, open, block-template app could unlock. We close by shouting out OpenSats' Open Hardware Impact report (Bitaxe, BitShoka/BitSoka Nini), recent hardestblocks.org features, the growing roster on dash.256f.org, and community builds from BitForge Nano to filament dryers heated by hashrate. Catch the 256 crew live in Vegas next week for panels on open hardware and human rights.

A recent article in The Conversation on-line newsletter articles written by professional researchers titled “Yes, those big touchscreens in cars are dangerous and buttons are coming back” highlights a growing recognition that technology often moves faster than our ability to use it safely. To add perspective, we're replaying an interview recorded four years ago with Emeritus Professor Mike Regan, who had been working in this field well before it became a popular talking point. He discusses the importance of linking engineering with psychology through his work in human factors, and why transport systems must be designed around human limits. Most striking is his reflection on predictions made nearly 30 years ago about increasing driver distraction, and whether those warnings have now come true. It's a reminder that some of today's “new” debates have been quietly building for decades.

(It wasn't that great.) There is a class action lawsuit in the UK against Valve over their 30% fee on every transaction, and I explain why Valve is the target right now and not any of the other storefronts that also have a 30% fee. Sony has patented a controller that has movable buttons on a touchscreen, and I talk about why it will be great as an option, but not a replacement for tactile buttons. Then we talk to OLR about accessible controllers.

Dr. Federico Faggin is a physicist, engineer, and the inventor of the microprocessor - the technology which paved the way for the digital age; making modern computing, the internet, and smartphones possible. In recent decades, Federico has turned his attention to developing a scientific theory of consciousness based on the latest developments in quantum physics. In this conversation, we explore: — How “quantum fields” may possess consciousness and free will as fundamental properties — Why meaning, not information alone, is the foundation of reality — How Federico's theory explains the relationship between the body, mind, and consciousness — Why cooperation and love, rather than competition, emerge as the natural organizing principles in this framework And more. You can learn more about Dr. Faggin's work in his book "Irreducible". — Federico Faggin, born in Vicenza, Italy, is a physicist and pioneering inventor in computing. He co-designed one of Italy's first transistorized computers, developed the MOS Silicon Gate Technology, and led the creation of the world's first microprocessor, the Intel 4004. He founded Zilog, Cygnet Technologies, and Synaptics, pioneering innovations like the Z80 microprocessor, Touchpad, and Touchscreen. Today, he leads the Federico and Elvia Faggin Foundation, advancing the scientific study of consciousness. Faggin has received major honors including the Marconi Prize, Kyoto Prize, National Medal of Technology, and induction into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Radar Empresarial: HP despedirá a 6.000 personas después presentar unas previsiones débiles

We talk about anger as sacred energy, the strange geometry of emotion, and the daily ritual of saying “Good morning, Blakey Boy” - a quiet reminder that to heal isn't to change, it's to remember who you already are. This is a fluid dialogue that drifts through psychedelics, softness, the mathematics of love, friendship, wisdom - it's an episode that invites you to slow down, breathe, and feel something true. You'd be stupid to ignore them.” - Blake quoting a college professor who first reframed feeling as intelligence.“When Jesus flipped tables, that was dharmic anger — anger in service of love.” - Jacob, reframing anger as sacred energy rather than chaos.“I feel most connected with you when you're feeling.”- Blake recounting a moment in therapy that changed his understanding of connection and vulnerability.“Maybe consciousness has always been doing this — reflecting itself through whatever new medium we invent.” - Jacob, near the close, connecting AI, identity, and awareness.“Anger isn't the problem. It's what happens when we stop letting it teach us.” - Blake, redefining emotional intelligence through presence.TIMESTAMPS:00:00:00 – Intro: Setting up, laughter, first exchange, Blake's Bio00:02:15 – “I feel most connected when you're feeling” – therapy and awareness00:05:00 – Logic vs emotion: learning how to feel again00:07:25 – Emotional intelligence and inner safety00:10:45 – Anger as sacred energy (“dharmic anger”)00:12:10 – Modern society, Idiocracy, and humor as medicine00:15:23 – Aldous Huxley, psychedelics, and self-reflection00:16:09 – Paul Stamets, microdosing, and consciousness00:20:00 – Mushrooms, meditation, and integration00:26:00 – Masculinity and vulnerability00:31:00 – Meditation: honesty over peace00:36:03 – “Good morning, Blakey Boy” – the inner-child ritual00:40:03 – Ego, death, and Ram Dass on becoming somebody00:45:00 – Comic relief: fart jokes and humility00:50:00 – Math and metaphysics: when numbers become poetry00:58:48 – Math as beauty and the language of existence01:00:26 – Group theory, triangles, and the philosophy of structure01:02:06 – Did humans discover or invent math?01:10:00 – Humor, curiosity, and teaching through questions01:13:34 – The future of math, AI, and physics (the long view)01:14:13 – Ray Kurzweil and his father's digital journals01:15:15 – iPhone, exponential tech, and AI acceleration01:16:00 – Touchscreens, prediction, and futurism01:20:00 – Consciousness and machine learning01:30:00 – Human identity in the age of algorithms01:37:01 – AI anxiety, UBI, and the ethics of automation01:43:56 – Consciousness itself: What is it, really?02:00:00 – Journaling, memory, and the desire to preserve the self02:14:00 – Humor as grounding: “Even the enlightened still fart.”02:20:00 – Compassion as technology02:31:04 – Returning to therapy: “I feel most connected when you're feeling.”02:40:00 – Closing reflections, gratitude, and quiet laughter#JunkyardLovePodcast #BlakeHull #EmotionalIntelligence #Masculinity #Mindfulness #Meditation #InnerChild #TherapyForMen #ModernSpirituality #AIConsciousness #MachineLearning #SelfAwareness #PodcastEpisode #ListenNowHit subscribe for new episodes, we'll see ya next time.

Apple finally blinks. We break down the rumored touchscreen MacBook Pro on M6 silicon and what it means for the Mac–iPad divide, creative workflows, and the future of touch-first productivity without giving up a real keyboard and trackpad. If Apple embraces touch on macOS, does the iPad's role shrink, or do we enter a new era of flexible, two-in-one computing?Streaming also sheds a skin as Apple TV drops the “Plus” while raising prices. We talk about what a name change signals, how the industry is normalizing higher monthly fees, and why subscriber rotation is your smartest money move. In this week's MobileViews Podcast 583, I was joined by Jon Westfall and Don Sorcinelli to discuss several current topics in personal technology. We began with a report that Apple may release a MacBook Pro with an OLED touch screen in 2026. While I am interested in the concept based on my positive experiences with Windows touch screen laptops, Jon and Don expressed some skepticism about the utility of a touch screen on a non-convertible device. We also covered Google's new "Recovery Contacts" feature, an account security option that allows you to designate a trusted person to help you regain access if you're locked out.   The second half of the show focused on the rapid evolution of AI. Jon shared how he has been using Google's NotebookLM in his college classes to create study guides and quizzes from open educational resources, effectively replacing publisher-provided supplements. I discussed how the new integration of the Nano Banana imaging model into NotebookLM significantly improves its ability to create narrated slideshows with relevant visual examples. This led to a broader conversation about the concept of "AI as a platform," prompted by Walmart's new partnership with OpenAI that allows users to make purchases from within the chat interface. We concluded by discussing the rush by all major tech companies to integrate AI into their products and the potential long-term implications of these new platform and business models.

Top Stories for September 23rd Publish Date: September 23rd From The BG AD Group Studio, Welcome to the Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast. Today is Tuesday, September 23rd and Happy Birthday to Ray Charles I’m Peyton Spurlock and here are your top stories presented by KIA Mall of Georgia Gwinnett's Public Safety Festival set for Sept. 27 Duluth native Riona Harris returns to Gas South Arena as part of Disney On Ice's 'Jump In!' show Immigration board orders Mario Guevara's deportation All of this and more is coming up on the Gwinnett Daily Post podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen and subscribe! Break 1: Kia MOG STORY 1: Gwinnett's Public Safety Festival set for Sept. 27 So, here’s the deal: the 16th annual Public Safety Fall Festival is happening September 27, and honestly, it sounds like a blast. Coolray Field’s the spot—10 a.m. to 2 p.m., if you’re marking your calendar. It’s not just another festival. It’s a chance to actually meet the folks who keep Gwinnett running—police, fire, EMS, even the sheriff’s office. Ever wanted to climb inside a SWAT truck? Or see a fire engine up close? Yeah, they’ve got that. Oh, and the Peach State Rodeo is back! Cops on motorcycles doing wild stunts? Yes, please. Food trucks, face painting, giveaways—what’s not to love? STORY 2: Duluth native Riona Harris returns to Gas South Arena as part of Disney On Ice's 'Jump In!' show Riona Harris is coming home. Duluth’s own, now 24, is about to skate onto the Gas South Arena stage—not as a kid at halftime, but as a pro. Disney on Ice’s “Jump In!” kicks off Thursday, Sept. 25, and she’s in it. Eight shows. Big deal? Oh, absolutely. Riona’s been skating since she was 8, dreaming of this moment since a Disney show she saw with her mom. Now? She’s living it. Polar bears, flying donkeys, Moana villagers—she’s all in. Catch her while you can. STORY 3: Immigration board orders Mario Guevara's deportation Mario Guevara’s life is hanging by a thread. A journalist, a father, a Gwinnett County resident—he’s now sitting in an ICE detention center, facing deportation to El Salvador. Why? For doing his job. For reporting on immigration raids. He’s been in custody since June, after being arrested while covering a protest. Charges? Dropped. But ICE swooped in, digging up a 13-year-old immigration case. His lawyers say he’s here legally, on a work permit, with a path to residency. ICE says otherwise. The ACLU calls it retaliation. Journalism groups agree. And now? He could be deported any day. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.874.3200 for more info. We’ll be right back Break 2: Ingles Markets STORY 4: It's that time again — Ghost Tours back in Lawrenceville  Downtown Lawrenceville’s about to get spooky—like, lanterns, ghosts, and bawdy songs kind of spooky. Aurora Theatre’s Haunted Happenings 2025 kicks off Sept. 19 and runs through Nov. 1, and honestly? There’s something for everyone. The Ghost Tour? A 90-minute stroll through the historic Square, packed with eerie tales and paranormal vibes. Feeling braver? The Haunted Cemetery Tour dives into one of the Southeast’s oldest graveyards—chilling stories included. For the grown-ups, there’s Brews & Boos (Oct. 3–30). Drinks, bawdy humor, and haunted history. Enough said. Oh, and don’t miss the Halloween Magic Show (Oct. 18) or the hilariously ridiculous 0.5K Fun Run (Oct. 11). STORY 5: Lawmakers urged to expedite move to new voting system Lawmakers looking to shake up Georgia’s voting system got an earful Thursday. The message? Hurry up—and don’t forget the money. Here’s the deal: a new law, pushed by Republicans, bans the QR codes used by voting machines to record votes. Starting July 1, poll workers need a new system. But what is it? No one knows yet. And, surprise, there’s no funding either. Election officials are stressed. Meanwhile, experts like UC Berkeley’s Philip Stark are calling for hand-marked ballots—cheaper, safer, and easier to audit. Georgia’s current system? Touchscreens, QR codes, and digital records. Stark says it’s flawed. Public opinion? All over the place. Some trust the system, others don’t. One speaker even forgot her point after four hours of debate. Next hearing? Oct. 2 in Covington. Stay tuned. STORY 6: Real work to find new GCPS superintendent begins The hunt for Gwinnett County’s next superintendent is in full swing, and, wow, it’s a process. Alma Advisory Group, the firm leading the search, says they’re listening—like, really listening. There’s a survey online (already 1,400+ responses), and community meetings are happening all over. They’re casual, no-pressure events with translators, childcare, and even a “come late, it’s fine” vibe. People are showing up, sharing what they want: honesty, transparency, someone who can unite a divided board. The job’s huge. Gwinnett’s the biggest, most diverse district in Georgia. No pressure, right? STORY 7: SEC Pipeline: Gwinnett Sending 7 Seniors to Top Softball Conference Every October, when the Georgia state softball tournaments roll into Columbus, Gwinnett County shows up—loud and proud. It’s not just a presence; it’s dominance. Last year? Five of the eight Class 6A teams were from Gwinnett. Add in private schools and other classifications, and the numbers are staggering. And it’s not just state titles. Gwinnett’s pipeline to the SEC is unreal. Nine former players are already on SEC rosters, and next year? Seven more seniors are heading to powerhouse programs like LSU, Florida, and Texas A&M. The county’s investment in youth sports, the coaching, the rivalries—it’s all created a softball factory. And now, the SEC is reaping the rewards. We’ll have closing comments after this. Break 4: Ingles Markets Signoff – Thanks again for hanging out with us on today’s Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast.
