Recently, the former New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez was sentenced to eleven years in prison for accepting bribes in cash and gold worth more than half a million dollars. He is the first person sentenced to prison for crimes committed in the Senate in more than forty years. Menendez did favors for the government of Egypt while he was the senior Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee, and intervened in criminal cases against the businessmen who were bribing him. In New York, he broke down in tears before a federal judge, pleading for leniency. Upon emerging from the courtroom, he made a thinly veiled plea to the man he had once voted to impeach. “President Trump is right,” Menendez declared to news cameras. “This process is political, and it's corrupted to the core. I hope President Trump cleans up the cesspool and restores the integrity to the system.” WNYC's New Jersey reporter Nancy Solomon explores how the son of working-class immigrants from Cuba scaled the heights of American politics, and then fell dramatically. But will he serve the time? Solomon speaks with the constitutional-law professor Ciara Torres-Spelliscy, who says, “It's hard to know who Trump will pardon next. One of the more recent pardons was for the former governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich. He was a Democrat. . . . [Trump] seems much more interested in undermining anti-corruption laws left, right, and center.”

The Canada vs. United States rivalry heats back up on the ice as Trump goes on a search of Fort Knox for the Gold Bars.
On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, aggregator sites like Drudge and Mediaite, often run by left-wing individuals, spin content from this show to create misleading headlines, such as claiming Levin is defying President Trump over his views on Putin, and Zelensky. This narrative is pseudo-news meant to provoke a nonexistent feud – it won't work. Later, Israel's Ambassador to the U.S., Yechiel Leiter, called in and emphasized that Israel is engaged in a fight for its civilization. He revealed the grim news that Hamas had returned four bodies, with Hamas shamelessly rejoicing in the act. However, he clarified that the fourth body, Shiri Bibas, was not the mother's body but instead an unidentified one. These terrorists are monstrous. Also, Kash Patel has been confirmed as FBI Director. This marks a stark contrast to Trump's first term when Democrats stalled his nominees for months. Yet, despite not even stepping into the role, Patel is already facing Democrat attacks. Finally, the EPA discovered that the Biden administration awarded $2 billion to a Stacey Abrams-linked climate group. There needs to be a criminal investigation of this. None of this would have been uncovered if not for Trump. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin calls in to discuss these findings. The EPA found billions of dollars' worth of “Gold Bars.” Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

The good news for climate realists and better governance in the Trump administration is piling up so fast it is difficult to keep up. As we covered on this show on December 6, a bit of undercover journalism by Project Veritas exposed a left-wing staffer at the Environmental Protection Agency admitting that he and others were trying to get billions of our tax money “out as fast as possible” before the Trump administration arrived in January and put a stop to it. “It truly feels like we're on the Titanic and we're throwing gold bars off the edge,” laughed Brent Efron, former “special advisor for implementation” at EPA. Well, new EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin announced this week that he has jumped into his submersible and snatched the gold bars ($20 billion) out of the hands of unaccountable lefty nonprofit “NGOs” and returned them to the treasury. The endless flow of our tax money going to environmental extremists groups who advocate against America's interest seems to be coming to an endThe Heartland Institute's Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely, will also talk about how the Paris Climate Agreement seems to be breaking apart, provide a media “Climate Fact Check” for January, check in on the continuing failure of EVs, show you what a “dying coyote” climate protest looks and sounds like, and more.DONATE to support the show. http://heartland.org/tcrs

Our show opens with a short lesson about the father of Public Relations and a person who transformed marketing via propaganda. We talk a bit about Edward Bernays and how it leads to the Smith-Mundt Act and then Barack Obama and color revolution initiatives being waged on Americans. We use this as a backdrop to remind us how so much information out there has been tainted and is not truth, but propaganda. We get good news with another win for President Trump when RFK, Jr. was confirmed to become the new HHS Secretary. We learned that the man responsible for so much of the lawfare against Trump prior to his win, is still being orchestrated by Marc Elias. A big shout-out to Insurrection Barbie for her help with that. Also, Sen. Chuck Grassley (D-IA) confirms prosecutor Jack Smith withheld evidence from Donald Trump's lawyers. EPA Secretary Lee Zeldin said they found the “gold bars” that had been “thrown off the Titanic” and his team is working with the IG and the Justice Department to prosecute those involved. The DOGE subcommittee found over $2.7 trillion dollars in lost payments since 2003. We wonder why none of this has been reported and that when we notice Reuters writing negative pieces about DOGE. A quick look and we discover the DoD paid them for deception! Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) shows us what a blithering idiot she is when she says Musk and his team are “hacking” into the Treasury. It's a shame I have to explain basic concepts to people who pretend to be educated. At the same time, the CEO of LexisNexus says adding a robust ID system, getting rid of self-certification and monitoring back-end programs would save the country $1 trillion dollars annually. Former rep from Wisconsin, Dean Phillips wonders why Democrats don't get on board the DOGE movement? CNN Senior Legal Correspondent Paula Reid confirmed yesterday that Trump does have the authority to let Federal employees voluntarily resign for a severance package. That's a massive blow to the Federal union bosses. RFK, Jr.'s daughter-in-law, Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, a former CIA officer is going to join Trump's intelligence advisory board. AG Pam Bondi is suing Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY), AG Letitia James, and NY DMV Commissioner Mark Shroeder for defying federal law in protecting illegals. And, finally, Mad Maxine Waters is worried about what Musk and his team “have on them?” Please take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. On Hacking Humans, Dave Bittner, Joe Carrigan, and Maria Varmazis (also host of N2K's daily space podcast, T-Minus), are once again sharing the latest in social engineering scams, phishing schemes, and criminal exploits that are making headlines to help our audience become aware of what is out there. First we start off with some follow up, our hosts share some more information on VIN swapping, and a clarification on bank participation in FinCEN. Maria shares a telling tale about a Bethesda couple loosing $367,000 in gold bars to a sophisticated scam involving fake officials and elaborate deceptions, but a police sting led to the arrest of a suspect, highlighting a growing nationwide trend of elderly victims targeted by gold bar fraud. Joe's story comes from KnowBe4 and is on DavidB, their VP of Asia Pacific, thwarting a sophisticated social engineering attack via WhatsApp by recognizing inconsistencies in the impersonator's behavior and verifying directly with the colleague they claimed to be. Dave's story comes from the FBI on how criminals are exploiting generative AI to enhance fraud schemes, including using AI-generated text, images, audio, and video to create convincing social engineering attacks, phishing scams, and identity fraud, while offering tips to protect against these threats. Our catch of the day comes from a listener who received an urgent email from someone claiming to be an FBI agent with a rather dramatic tale about intercepted consignment boxes, missing documents, and a ticking clock—but let's just say this "agent" might need some better training in both law enforcement and grammar. Back in March of this year, authorities in British Columbia filed an “unexplained wealth order” to seize a safety deposit box that belonged to Michael Patryn, the co-founder of the now-defunct cryptocurrency exchange, Quadriga. That box contained over $250,000 in cash, 45 gold bars, luxury watches and jewellery. The unexplained wealth order compels Mr. Patryn to prove that he obtained those assets legally — or else, he could lose it.Alexandra Posadzki is the Globe's telecom reporter. She's on the show to talk about this new legal tool that targets criminal rings and money launderers, and why critics say it could be a violation of Charter rights. Questions? Comments? Ideas? Red Lobster currently boasts roughly 650 locations nationwide and has its headquarters in Orlando, Florida; it recently closed dozens of its outlets. Thai Union Group, Red Lobster's majority owner, said they were through funding the chain. “We're going to exit. We are not going to inject any more money into Red Lobster,” Thai Union Chief Executive Thiraphong Chansiri said in February. “The company aims to use the bankruptcy process to negotiate concessions from landlords and strike a deal with creditors to continue operating, moves that could trim hundreds of millions of dollars in debt,” Red Lobster said, according to The Wall Street Journal, which noted that the company's sales dropped 8% from 2022 to 2023.
