In this explosive episode, Tara breaks down why federal investigators are flooding Minneapolis — and why local Democrat leadership is panicking in public. After Minnesota Governor Tim Walz abruptly drops out of the governor's race, Trump officials signal what many already suspect: this isn't a PR issue — it's criminal exposure. With 2,000 federal agents deployed, funds frozen, daycare and SNAP programs under review, and ICE on the ground, the reaction from city leaders has turned desperate. From suitcases of cash moving through airports, to empty daycares raking in millions, to a mayor all but threatening ICE agents, Tara lays out a fraud operation years in the making — and why it's finally being exposed.

Economy Status of the US Dollar as Global Reserve Currency: USD Share Drops to Lowest since 1994 Central Banks diversify their holdings into dozens of smaller “non-traditional reserve currencies.” The share of USD-denominated assets held by other central banks dropped to 56.9% of total foreign exchange reserves in Q3, the lowest since 1994, from 57.1% in Q2 and 58.5% in Q1, according to the IMF's new data on Currency Composition of Official Foreign Exchange Reserves. USD-denominated foreign exchange reserves include US Treasury securities, US mortgage-backed securities (MBS), US agency securities, US corporate bonds, and other USD-denominated assets held by central banks other than the Fed. Excluded are any central bank's assets denominated in its own currency, such as the Fed's Treasury securities or the ECB's euro-denominated securities. It's not that foreign central banks dumped US-dollar-denominated assets, such as Treasury securities. They did not. They added a little to their holdings. But they added more assets denominated in other currencies, particularly a gaggle of smaller currencies whose combined share has surged, while central banks' holdings of USD-denominated assets haven't changed much for a decade, and so the percentage share of those USD assets continued to decline. Central banks' holdings of foreign exchange reserves in all currencies, and expressed in USD, rose to $13.0 trillion in Q3. Top holdings, expressed in USD: USD assets: $7.41 trillion Euro assets (EUR): $2.65 trillion Yen assets (YEN): $0.76 trillion British pound assets (GBP): $0.58 trillion Canadian dollar assets (CAD): $0.35 trillion Australian dollar assets (AUD): $0.27 trillion Chinese renminbi (RMB) assets: $0.25 trillion Source: wolfstreet.com (function(w,d,s,i){w.ldAdInit=w.ldAdInit||[];w.ldAdInit.push({slot:18510697282300316,size:[0, 0],id:"ld-8599-9832"});if(!d.getElementById(i)){var j=d.createElement(s),p=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];j.async=true;j.src="https://cdn2.decide.dev/_js/ajs.js";j.id=i;p.parentNode.insertBefore(j,p);}})(window,document,"script","ld-ajs"); https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/2004750391435755846?s=20 https://twitter.com/ElectionWiz/status/2004928015172821228?s=20 https://twitter.com/ElectionWiz/status/2004946780216328590?s=20 Political/Rights https://twitter.com/Patri0tContr0l/status/2004590513182367845?s=20 https://twitter.com/Geiger_Capital/status/2005107085865103608?s=20 ICE: 70% Arrested Had Criminal Ties Roughly 70% of illegal migrants arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under the second Trump administration reportedly had been convicted of or faced charges for criminal offenses. New data provided to the Washington Examiner shows the Trump administration arrested about 595,000 illegal immigrants between Jan. 20 and Dec. 11, according to the Department of Homeland Security. ICE said 70%, roughly 416,000, had “criminal convictions or pending criminal charges” in the United States, underscoring President Donald Trump’s promise to prioritize the “worst of the worst” in immigration enforcement. ICE officials stressed that even those without U.S. criminal records can still pose major public safety threats, the agency said, noting many are wanted abroad for violent crimes or have ties to gangs, terrorism, or other serious offenses. “This statistic doesn’t account for those wanted for violent crimes in their home country or another country, INTERPOL notices, human rights abusers, gang members, terrorists, etc. The list goes on,” an ICE spokesperson told the Examiner. Source: newsmax.com New Files Show Epstein Was ‘Too Useful' for Banks to Drop — Trump Was ‘Too Politically Dangerous' to Keep The newest Epstein disclosures include deposition testimony that illustrates, in unusually concrete detail, how major financial institutions assessed risk, value, and accountability. The transcript does not add new allegations about Epstein. Instead, it explains why he remained bankable long after his 2008 conviction and why his relationship with major banks survived despite generating almost no traditional revenue. That institutional logic is the same logic that later drove JPMorgan to end its ties with Trump Media, and the contrast between the two cases shows how selectively these standards are applied. In the deposition, Paul Morris—a private banker who handled Epstein's accounts at JPMorgan Chase and later Deutsche Bank—described Epstein's financial profile with unusual precision. Epstein's trading was minimal. His accounts produced limited fees. He was not a high-activity client and did not utilize the investment tools that banks rely on to generate consistent revenue. By every conventional benchmark, he was a low-value account. And yet, the relationship continued. The deposition shows why. Epstein was not retained for his financial performance but for his institutional usefulness. Morris acknowledged that Epstein facilitated introductions to ultra-wealthy individuals that the bank viewed as essential prospects. One example was Leon Black, whom Morris identified as a “priority prospect” because of Black's significant net worth and influence in the investment sector. Epstein introduced the bank to real-estate investor Andrew Farkas and discussed a potential connection involving biotech investor Boris Nikolic, who had ties to Bill Gates. These introductions were specific, documented, and initiated by Epstein, not the bank. This is the key element that many public accounts overlook. Epstein was not being managed as a traditional client. He functioned as a relationship broker inside a system where introductions to power carry more internal value than account-level returns. Source: thegatewaypundit.com DOGE Geopolitical The EU Leaders Shouting About Visa Bans Are the Same EU Leaders Who Sent Political Operatives Into the U.S. to Support Kamala Harris EU leaders from across the spectrum of their collective assembly, are furious with the administration of President Donald Trump for restricting their entry into the United States by blocking their visa permissions. However, these same EU leaders are the people who sent operatives into the United States in order to interfere in our 2024 election. The Vice President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, sums up the European position: “The decision by the U.S. to impose travel restrictions on European citizens and officials is unacceptable and an attempt to challenge our sovereignty. Europe will keep defending its values — freedom of expression, fair digital rules, and the right to regulate our own space.” The “attempt to challenge our sovereignty” statement is a particular type of hubris when we consider THIS: GREAT BRITAIN (October 2024) – The British Labour Party is sending approximately 100 current and former staff members to the United States to work for Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign in key swing states. [SOURCE – LINKEDIN] Not only did the U.K attempt to challenge our sovereignty, but they also actively worked to influence the outcome of our national election in 2024. TRUMP PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Trump Tasks Military With an ‘Oil Quarantine' Against Venezuela, as Economic Pressure Is Chosen for Now Over Military Action Venezuela's oil industry under maximum pressure. And now that the extended holidays are over, the socialist regime will have to deal with the veritable siege imposed by the US and its unprecedented armada. Venezuela is running out of storage space for its oil production since some ships are being seized and many others turned around and left. Now, it arises that Donald J. Trump has directed US forces to enforce ‘an oil quarantine' against Venezuela for at least the next two months. These moves lead many to think that the Trump team will focus on economic rather than military means to pressure Caracas into ousting Maduro. I spent a lot of my life in the Middle East and Central Asia, working closely with foreign contractors and foreign governments to provide support to American military operations. As a US Army officer with a big checkbook courtesy of Uncle Sam, I can't really count the sheer number of times I was offered bribes to award a contract, or falsify records to do things like create larger (fake) headcounts at places like dining facilities, or to just simply be on the take for future illegal requests. Of course I had enough sense to never comply with such requests. Moreover, they were never explicitly structured as “bribes”; instead it was usually along the lines of “Here I have these Rolexes as gifts for you and your wife to show our friendship.” (Unfortunately, too many US officers and NCOs succumbed to this siren song and ended up breaking rocks in Leavenworth.) The weird thing about this to me was that whenever I turned down such an offering, it was treated as a grave insult. I was the one in the wrong, and not the fraudster trying to bribe me. They considered it rude that I was in their country and refused to accept how things got done. After all, why did I not want to help my tribe by helping their tribe? Let me repeat: in these cultures, FRAUD IS NOT EVEN A CONCEPT. There is only what helps your tribe. Such thought processes are so alien to Americans and much of the West. We are raised on the presumption that our institutions are valid, that the rule of law always prevails, and that integrity is universal. We need these presumptions to have working governments and economies, and without those presumptions—without the mental barrier that causes us not to accept outright fraud—our nation would quickly descend into the economic and social hellscape of countries like…. ummm… you know…. SOMALIA! So when we import people en masse from cultures that accept bribery and fraud as routine, acceptable ways to advance one's tribe, we should not be surprised that things like the $8 BILLION fraud schemes of the Somali population in Minnesota happen so easily. Introducing a fraud-based culture based on tribalism into America is like introducing some sort of lethal virus into a population that has no natural immunity. The virus will spread and grow, unchecked, because it is so alien to the host. Similarly, a culture of fraud is anathema to American thinking, and it must be cut out before it consumes the host. So when you see and hear patriotic Americans decrying what is happening in Minnesota or elsewhere, and when they seek deportation of the offenders, it is not “racism,” it is not “bigotry,” it is not “xenophobia”; instead, it is preserving the American tradition of responsible institutions and national integrity. https://twitter.com/MarioNawfal/status/2005262465190223928?s=20 https://twitter.com/FBIDirectorKash/status/2005305530651189719?s=20 exploiting federal programs. Fraud that steals from taxpayers and robs vulnerable children will remain a top FBI priority in Minnesota and nationwide. To date, the FBI dismantled a $250 million fraud scheme that stole federal food aid meant for vulnerable children during COVID. The investigation exposed sham vendors, shell companies, and large-scale money laundering tied to the Feeding Our Future network. The case led to 78 indictments and 57 convictions. Defendants included Abdiwahab Ahmed Mohamud, Ahmed Ali, Hussein Farah, Abdullahe Nur Jesow, Asha Farhan Hassan, Ousman Camara, and Abdirashid Bixi Dool, each charged for roles ranging from wire fraud to money laundering and conspiracy. These criminals didn't just engaged in historic fraud, but tried to subvert justice as well. Abdimajid Mohamed Nur and others were charged for attempting to bribe a juror with $120,000 in cash. Those responsible pleaded guilty and were sentenced, including a 10-year prison term and nearly $48 million in restitution in related cases. The FBI believes this is just the tip of a very large iceberg. We will continue to follow the money and protect children, and this investigation very much remains ongoing. Furthermore, many are also being referred to immigrations officials for possible further denaturalization and deportation proceedings where eligible. https://twitter.com/ScottPresler/status/2004932316926193933?s=20 https://twitter.com/HarmeetKDhillon/status/2004976287270731981?s=20 https://twitter.com/rising_serpent/status/2005080344610177489?s=20 https://twitter.com/amuse/status/2005092720927232198?s=20 “skeptical jurors” in federal cases involving President Trump. President Trump's Plan https://twitter.com/WarClandestine/status/2004653262491058216?s=20 accomplished what no one else could. When we arrived, taxpayers were about to be on the hook for nearly $5 billion for a new headquarters that wouldn't open until 2035. We scrapped that plan. Instead, we selected the already-existing Reagan Building, saving billions and allowing the transition to begin immediately with required safety and infrastructure upgrades already underway. Once complete, most of the HQ FBI workforce will move in, and the rest are continuing in our ongoing push to put more manpower in the field, where they will remain. This decision puts resources where they belong: defending the homeland, crushing violent crime, and protecting national security. It delivers better tools for today's FBI workforce at a fraction of the cost. The Hoover Building will be shut down permanently. They Got Her: FBI Caught Hillary Clinton Talking Donations with Foreign Felon on Tape As Hillary Clinton closed in on the presidential nomination in the spring of 2016, FBI field officers advised colleagues at headquarters to press her on the foreign donations flowing to the Clinton Foundation while she steered American foreign policy and whether she had used the charity as a campaign piggy bank. But the FBI HQ in Washington — a city in which the former secretary of state and first lady wields enormous influence — let the trail go cold. FBI New York Assistant Director in Charge Diego Rodriguez advised agents in Washington to ask Clinton several questions about the foundation, which are reproduced in full in documents released to the Senate Judiciary Committee by the FBI and published on Dec. 15. The questions reveal the concerns about foreign bribery that the Clinton Foundation case — codenamed “Cracked Foundation” — had uncovered. Among the evidence available to investigators, according to their questions: A recorded conversation between Clinton and Indian hotel magnate Sant Singh Chatwal in which Clinton discussed donations to the foundation and her remaining 2008 campaign debt. The new documents confirm that the FBI had at one time been “intercepting individuals associated with the Clinton Foundation.” Source: westernjournal.com John Brennan's Lawfare Lawyers are Revealing More Than They Intend former CIA Director John Brennan are sending proactive letters to the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida {SEE HERE}. However, some of the information included in the letters intended to be exculpatory is actually damning against their defense position. You have to go deep in the weeds to see it but if you understand the details of the events, the information being revealed by Brennan's lawyers is the opposite of helpful to his case. As an example, there is a citation included in a footnote of the December 22, 2025, [fn #20 page 6] letter that links to a March 31, 2022, letter sent to John Durham. Here's page 6 of the 2025 letter. Compare the underlined section to the 2022 letter sent to John Durham. In 2025 Brennan is telling the Florida court the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) conclusion was confirmed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller in a “very serious review.” However, in 2022 Brennan told John Durham that Robert Mueller never interviewed him or offered an assessment of the ICA; Mueller just regurgitated it. So, which is it? These contradictions are throughout both of the letters when you compare them side-by-side. In 2022 former CIA Director John Brennan was trying to escape the Durham review. In 2025 Brennan is trying to escape a grand jury review. [We are aware that the U.S Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Jason Reding Quiñones, has access to the CTH public library of research into all of these historic events.] There are other citations in the 2022 letter that are certainly worth reviewing because the legally binding statements made by John Brennan at the time have been shown to be false in 2025. Another of the claims in the 2022 letter to John Durham highlights why it was critical for the CIA to assist in the capture and arrest of Julian Assange in 2019. Energy’s way down. Gasoline is way down.” Over the past two weeks, a series of positive economic reports has shown that inflation is decreasing, with the White House highlighting the latest data while addressing cost-of-living concerns nationwide. According to a Politico poll conducted last month, Americans say they are finding that the costs of groceries, utilities, healthcare, housing, and transportation are too expensive. Trump has been fighting to reframe that, however, blaming Democrats under Biden for driving prices up. He said in the interview, conducted Friday, that “electricity is down. It’s way down.” “When the gasoline goes down, and when the oil and gas go down, the electricity comes down naturally,” he said. “But it’s all coming down. It’s all coming down. It’s coming beautifully.” Source: newsmax.com https://twitter.com/WarClandestine/status/2004696380531503505?s=20 the NG will have quick response troops on standby in every state, the FBI building is being moved to a new location, the war between Russia and Ukraine is coming to an end, and all of Trump's pieces will be in place. Let me give you a little lesson on finance. Just a few years ago, I thought I needed to have all the fancy things that were being promoted online..... The private jets, expensive vacations, Rolexes, $1,000 pairs of shoes, name brand jeans....... And let me tell you this........ I always felt uncomfortable in those things. A part of it was knowing what it was to be poor a few times in my life. My ego told me I needed to have these things to be "someone." So, I bought these things knowing they would get me into rooms where I would look sharp, but still be the brokest motherfucker in a room. In many aspects, I got an exponential return on investing in these items including the lessons that come with it. First thing you should know........ Those flexing their Lambos, private jets, Gucci belts............they're really not rich, nor wealthy. I've met wealthy people. They drive regular cars or trucks and own things of signifigance like buildings, land, and other financial assets that make them returns. When I realized I didn't need all those things I started getting into bigger rooms. I added value and started getting noticed. People that could actually afford private jets turned me onto the game of how they got wealthy and stayed that way. They started by wearing regular clothes and flying American Airlines. Watches & Wonders may have wrapped a few weeks ago, flooding everyone's feeds with Tudors, Rolexes, Grand Seikos, Pateks, Zeniths, and more than a few Hublots—but we're not diving into any of that today. Instead, on episode 102 of A Week in Watches, we take a step back from the hype and turn our attention to the quieter—but no less exciting—independent releases that emerged around the same time. April was surprisingly packed with creative drops from small brands doing things their own way, and while the big names stole the headlines, the indies delivered some of the most interesting watches of the month. Before diving into a few standout releases—yes, including that particularly “crazy” one—here's a quick heads-up: Windup Watch Fair San Francisco 2025 is just around the corner. It's happening May 2nd through 4th at the Gateway Pavilion in Fort Mason Park. Over 80 brands will be there, it's free, and it's open to all. If you're on the West Coast, swing by. The short answer to the question “Are Omega watches a good investment?” (aside from “don't buy a watch as an investment”) is that most of them will take a hit when bought new, but they do generally retain their value well when bought secondhand–and the most popular models can certainly increase in value. Maybe the increases won't be as meteoric as with some Rolexes, but Omega has been making some great watches in recent years and collectors have noticed. We never recommend buying watches strictly as an investment vehicle, but it's sensible to consider value and collectability when making a luxury watch purchase. With that in mind, we've made a list of ten of the most investment-worthy Omega watches. If you like what you're listening to please let us know! If you're considering buying a pre-owned Rolex, your first thought is likely "How do I spot a fake Rolex?" Counterfeit Rolexes are notoriously common, and they're only getting more and more accurate. While it's almost impossible to spot the most advanced modern fake Rolexes without examining them closely in person, the vast majority of fakes will have tells that can be spotted if you're aware of some fundamentals. "How do I tell if a Rolex is fake?" is a question that doesn't have a short, conclusive answer, but we'll try to make it less daunting. So without further ado, here's our updated guide to spotting a fake Rolex. If you like what you're listening to please let us know! When it comes to Rolex prices, there is a difference between retail price and actual market price for many of their watches. Their hottest models, like the steel Daytona and Pepsi GMT, are notorious for selling far above the manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP) on Rolex's website. The gap has been closing a bit since 2022, though. Many of the more common Rolexes, such as Datejusts with standard dials and smooth bezels, now sell secondhand for retail price or even less. But turquoise Oyster Perpetuals, titanium Yacht-Masters, and Le Mans Daytonas still sell for huge premiums. Even Datejusts with popular options like palm motif or mint green fluted motif dials often sell for thousands above list.So why is there such a difference between retail and market prices for Rolex watches? The short answer: because of the gap between supply and demand. Demand for Rolex is still extremely high, and the Rolex supply chain can't simply create an additional million watches by flipping a switch. If you're listening to this episode, you're probably aware of the infamous Rolex waiting list – there simply aren't enough new Rolex watches for sale in the primary market to keep up with demand. This has paved the way for a robust secondary market of grey market dealers selling Rolex watches. If you like what you're listening to please let us know! There's a reason that Rolex is often referred to as King -- this Swiss watchmaking giant dominates the luxury watch space. Regardless of where you are in the world, the brand is shorthand for success, prestige, and excellence. While it's no secret that Rolex is the most popular high-end watch company (by far), we often get asked which models in Rolex's catalog stand out as the most desirable. So, we've compiled a list to answer that question. You may be asking yourself how we define "most popular." In this case, we consider a mix of sales numbers, inquiries, and market value to pinpoint the most coveted Rolexes right now. Listen to this epidose to find out which are the most popular Rolex watches in today's market; there may be a few entries that'll surprise you.If you like what you're listening to please let us know! Obviously the problem is more complex, but I do not have space, and frankly I do not pretend to be the most qualified person to lay out the full argument. But many have illuminated the corruption and greed (e.g.: Rosenthal, Moore), decades ago and the problems simply remain. This increased 169% with 43 GOP lawmakers threatened under Trump.[SEGMENT 2-3] Leftist rationalizations 3 - Biden "So, Joe Biden crawled out from under his rock—or, more likely, the Democrats let him out of his cage. But don't worry, folks, he's only out long enough to give Ukraine another few billion and maybe accidentally provoke a nuclear war. You know, classic Biden. Just another day at the office, or in his case, another day wandering around trying to find the office. And can we talk about how Biden still has a stack of pardons to hand out? Oh yeah, the Christmas list is growing. The Bidens, the DOJ, the J6 Committee—all getting stocking stuffers. Straight white dudes? Sorry, you're getting coal. Unless Hunter Biden needs a new business partner—then you might get a laptop and a lifetime of blackmail. Now, Biden's also out here yelling at Americans about his accomplishments. Yelling. Like he's that one drunk uncle at Thanksgiving who's like, ‘You don't know how hard I worked to ruin everything! Respect my chaos!' Meanwhile, we're all just trying to pass the mashed potatoes without making eye contact. But my favorite part? Biden challenged us to name a better country. Like, the dude is actively ruining this one, but somehow that's OUR problem? ‘Name a better country.' Bro, the fact that America still functions at all is a miracle. We're like a car running on fumes, duct tape, and the sheer willpower of people who haven't fled to Costa Rica yet. Oh, and Biden had the nerve to ask the next administration to carry on his economic work. Translation? He wants Trump to continue wrecking the economy. I mean, Joe's like the guy who burns down your house and then hands you a marshmallow stick like, ‘Carry on the tradition, pal!' And these moments of clarity he has? They're terrifying. Instead of acting presidential, he just starts screaming about how great he is—like he's auditioning for WWE. ‘Listen here, Jack, I've got the best policies! The greatest inflation! Nobody destroys a border like me!' So how long until they send him back into hibernation? Who knows? But one thing's for sure: when he does go back, his handlers will be busy making sure he doesn't accidentally pardon the family dog or try to order Chinese food from Taiwan. Because with Joe, you never know—it's always an adventure!" [X] SB – Comer predicts Biden will pardon his family [SEGMENT 2-4] Leftist rationalizations 4 - Biden You ever watch someone try to pass off a cheap knockoff as the real thing? Like the guy hawking "Rolexes" with ticking second hands? That's Joe Biden in politics. He was supposed to be the Left's ultimate weapon—the 81-million-vote man who would crush Trump like a Coke can. But fast-forward, and Biden is now the flat club soda Democrats found in the back of their fridge. Lloyd Austin isn't the only one who's gone AWOL… The Daily Beast wrote: Disaffected Democrats , including some from within his own administration, are furious with President Joe Biden for shrinking into a political non-entity since his party was walloped in last month's election , according to multiple reports. “He's been so cavalier and selfish about how he approaches the final weeks of the job,” a former White House official told Politico. The outlet—which spoke to nearly two dozen officials, including current and former White House staffers—reported that, since the Nov. 5 vote, Biden has mostly avoided unscripted events and press questions while neglecting to address policy matters on Capitol Hill and Democratic Party. Many party officials, Politico reported, no longer even bother to monitor Biden's daily activities. His interactions with media have been similarly muted: In two weeks of foreign traveling since the election, Biden uttered a mere seven words to the press pack traveling with him, the outlet said. The president is yet to hold—or schedule—a post-election press conference, something his predecessors George W. Bush and Barack Obama did before leaving office. “This is one of the lamest of lame ducks we've seen with a Democratic administration,” Usamah Andrabi, a spokesman for the progressive Justice Democrats PAC, told the Wall Street Journal . “A massive missed opportunity.” But let's not act like this was unpredictable, okay? Democrats handpicked the guy who needed a GPS to find his way off stage. Biden mistook reporters for lawn ornaments and fell asleep in NATO meetings. Now they want him to lead? That's like handing a drowning man a bowling ball. And Democrats act surprised? Come on! They spent four years hiding Biden's mental fumbles behind teleprompters and careful choreography. Now the jig's up, and they're mad the Wizard of Delaware turned out to be all curtain, no wizard. Captain Demento Goes AWOL Now, the question on everyone's mind: “Where's Joe?” Democrats wanted Biden to disappear during the campaign, and now they've got their wish. In a recent interview, Victor Davis Hanson nailed it. Hansen declared that Donald Trump is stepping in as the de facto president. Trump visited Paris for the reopening of Notre Dame. While there, Trump arm-wrestled Macron into submission, and Prince Harry proved to be a Trump fanboy. Trump's out here shaking hands with foreign leaders, fixing global crises, and looking more presidential than the guy who Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-kevin-jackson-show--2896352/support.

No the reality is, these [indecipherable] have simply gotten too powerful, and they continue to abuse our country for immense profit because the American public has allwed them to get away with it. Obviously the problem is more complex, but I do not have space, and frankly I do not pretend to be the most qualified person to lay out the full argument. But many have illuminated the corruption and greed (e.g.: Rosenthal, Moore), decades ago and the problems simply remain. It is not an issue of awareness at this point, but clearly power games at play. Evidently I am the first to face it with such brutal honesty.”[SEGMENT 2-2] Leftist rationalizations 2 Nancy Mace was attacked. And you know the trans male community celebrated. The suspect was identified as 33-year-old James McIntyre of Illinois. He faces a charge of assaulting a government official. This is how Leftists have been taught to handle their problems. That's why the Chicago mayor has more security than Bloomberg. Dude has more security than MC Hammer had as his entourage back in the day. And MC Hammer paid enough people to buy a small African country. https://www.cnn.com/2023/12/07/politics/threats-us-public-officials-democracy-invs/index.html CNN reviewed more than 500 federally prosecuted threats. Here's what we found:At least 41% of all the cases across the decade were politically motivated.Nearly 95% of people prosecuted for making threats to public officials are male; the median age is 37.Politically motivated threats to public officials increased 178% during Trump's presidency.Threats related to hot political topics like abortion or police brutality also skyrocketed during the Trump years, increasing by more than 300% from Obama's second term.As the party in power, 16 Democrats received threats during Obama's second term. Scrapping the Winter Fuel Allowance has been understandably controversial but, if Conservative HQ were trying to make people feel sad about it, they failed. This is: Nursing doubts, published by dynomight on August 30, 2024 on LessWrong. If you ask the internet if breastfeeding is good, you will soon learn that YOU MUST BREASTFEED because BREAST MILK = OPTIMAL FOOD FOR BABY. But if you look for evidence, you'll discover two disturbing facts. First, there's no consensus about why breastfeeding is good. I've seen experts suggest at least eight possible mechanisms: 1. Formula can't fully reproduce the complex blend of fats, proteins and sugars in breast milk. 2. Formula lacks various bio-active things in breast milk, like antibodies, white blood cells, oligosaccharides, and epidermal growth factor. 3. If local water is unhealthy, then the mother's body acts as a kind of "filter". 4. Breastfeeding may have psychological/social benefits, perhaps in part by releasing oxytocin in the mother. 5. Breastfeeding decreases fertility, meaning the baby may get more time before resources are redirected to a younger sibling. 6. Breastfeeding may help mothers manage various post-birth health issues? 7. Infants are often given formula while lying on their backs, which might lead to fluid buildup in the ears and thus temporary hearing loss during a critical development period? 8. Breastfeeding is cheaper?? Second, the evidence for breastfeeding is overwhelmingly observational: It's not based on experiments, but rather looking at the existing population and "observing" that breastfeeding is correlated with having mildly fewer infections (of many kinds) and slightly lower obesity. It may also be correlated with better outcomes in terms of allergies, diabetes, lymphoma, colitis, Crohn's disease, or later IQ. Observational evidence is disturbing because correlations are bad. Even if breastfeeding did nothing, people think it's good, so the same parents who breastfeed more tend to have higher socioeconomic status and provide lots of other goodies too. Babies that wear baby Rolex watches are probably healthier on average. But that's because their parents are rich, not because Rolexes are good for you. Could breastfeeding be like that? Of course, experts are aware of this issue. They try to compensate for it by "controlling" for upstream variables. The most-cited meta-analysis on breastfeeding and IQ collected 18 papers that each controlled for different things, like parental education, social status, or how much social interaction the baby got. The control variables seemed to matter a lot: Among studies that… Breastfeeding associated with a… Did not control for maternal IQ 4.1 IQ point increase Controlled for maternal IQ 2.6 IQ point increase But what about paternal IQ? Might smarter dads convince mothers to breastfeed more? What if you forgot to control for something, or your data was noisy, or the relationship is nonlinear? (What if smarter babies manipulate their mothers into breastfeeding more?) If any of that happens, then correlations will probably exaggerate the causal impact of breastfeeding. So there's been a small movement in recent years to push back against Big Nurse, to argue that, despite the public health messaging, there is no clear evidence that breastfeeding is beneficial. (See Stuart Richie at Science Fictions or Emily Oster at Five Thirty Eight or The Guardian for good versions of this argument.) Naturally, I am sympathetic. Down with groupthink! Down with control variables! Down with putting so much pressure on mothers based on weak evidence! Except… Imagine you just gave birth on a desert island - one that for some reason has an unlimited supply of formula. You're considering breastfeeding your baby, but you can't read any studies. What should you do? Well, there's an obvious evolutionary argument. Maybe the epidermal growth factor and obscure mix of fats in breast milk are crucial. Or maybe they aren't. But they're probably not bad...

A hunter has to stay hungry or he won't eat. We're the ruling class. The people wanting more. We have to go out and get it. We're constantly looking for the edge or opportunity to do something. The hunter only hunts when he's hungry. Native Americans would go out and kill buffalo but use everything they could for food, tools, furs, and not waste anything on that buffalo. If the hunter has a full fridge, they're not going to go out and hunt. They have to stay hungry. This means setting up your life where you think you're broke every day. If you're going to live very well, you've got to stay hungry! #RiseAbove HOW TO GET INVOLVED: This planet is based on an algorithm and with every positive action, there is an adverse reaction.
