Bob Gretz and I share our loving admiration and feelings to our one-of-a-kind friend,  Danny Israel. For over 30 years Danny was the executive producer of the Kansas City Chiefs Radio network in addition to being on the air and the technological wizard that made the broadcast the best of the NFL. He could fix anything and was proficient in both the left and right parts of the brain. Very few people on planet Earth have that ability. Hailing from the Causeway Coast, Good Friend is Adam Carroll (lead vocals and bass), Izzy Curran (drums), and Andy Reid (lead guitar). These three Irish lads originally come from around Belfast/Northern Ireland but they moved to Newcastle, England to get shitty jobs and form a band. The jobs did indeed turn out to be shitty, but the band turned out great! 'We've always described our sound as Punk Rock salted by The Irish Sea. Melodic and ferocious.' For many of us who have not encountered that wonderful Good Friend who can help us see into our own nature, it looks like it is up to us. Dan Schneider is a former First Team All American baseball player and after his college time at University of Arizona he went on to play professionally for the Braves and the Astros. After his departure from baseball he needed to take care of his growing family and landed in the casualty insurance business. As luck  would have it he started a relationship with the True family and White Stallion Ranch. In 1998 Dan attended the inaugural Dude Ranch Convention and in 2004 he started the Dude Ranch Horse Safety Program. This has lead to a 35% decrease in injuries and helped dude ranches nationwide. Don't take all of your problems so seriously. If your biggest dilemma is picking the best furniture for your yacht, you're probably doing just fine. While it has become common to denounce the existence of extremely wealthy people, there are billionaires who have made significant contributions to society, sometimes, very quietly. Basketball great Michael Jordan recently opened another free clinic for people of lesser means who have no health insurance, providing a level of health care they could not afford otherwise. To counter the epidemic of young children demonstrating a complete loss of fine motor skills, simply get them doing something physical. They can easily develop these essential life skills by just getting outside and playing around. Naval aviation is challenging. Landing on an aircraft carrier is challenging. Yet, there are some aircraft that are more difficult to land at sea than others. A so-called “government job” used to be a safe bet for guaranteed employment without any interruption or chance of a furlough. While that may have been true in the past, that is no longer true as tens of thousands of government employees have had their jobs terminated. Most are distressed at being suddenly cast aside. This might be the time to launch into new and more lucrative opportunities that exist that you never thought of before. Now may be the time to step out into a new venture that may require more education and hard work. The best is yet to come. Meet a famous wingman who has quietly supported a wide variety of HBCU's with significant financial contributions even though he never attended an institution like that himself. Stay positive, the best is yet to come.
