Ladies and Gentleman, last week had that the absolute privilege to sit down and have a chat with a true Icon of 2 wheels. The GOAT of the enduro world… Graham ‘G Force' Jarvis. Whilst the man himself was in town competing in the WHES and doing a few coaching schools along the way, we couldn't pass on the opportunity to snag a chat with one of the most skilled human beings to ever ride 2 wheels. Although we didn't have a massive stack of time with Graham, we made sure to get stuck into the nitty gritty with the time we had. Also we want to give a huge shout out to West Coast Motorcycles for allowing us to come down and set up the mics to be able to record a chat with such a legend. It takes just one opportunity. You are one dm away from an opportunity of a lifetime. One email away from changing your life.Do you believe this stuff? Is it really only 1 away? Absolutely! It doesn't matter if it's a phone call, dm, text, email, or even handshake. You are literally 1 contact away from something incredible. A job change, a conversation, a sponsor, and even as little as a change in thought. We have amazing capacities that we undermine each day and don't take advantage of more opportunities that are placed in front of us. Let's start changing that today! It took 1 message for Douglas Chrysler to change his life. After the 1 message he sent off to a particular individual in the U.K. he completely changed his lifestyle, as much as he could with a broken limb. Today Douglas is crushing it in his world and is connected with individuals he once believed impossible because he thought too small before. Now he is happy with what he is achieving and looks forward to really pushing himself to get in front of the next opportunity. Oh and for him, an email to Graham Jarvis changed it all.Enjoy!Be sure to join The Action Sports Club so you can learn how to land sponsorships and spend more time riding.
Are you living a lifestyle that will benefit you down the road?I don't know if many people have even thought about what tomorrow looks like.Someone once said “tomorrow is going to look alot like it always has”...It's a fascinating world we live in. With all of the different philosophies and ideas we have each day. But there of course are some constants that we can take to the bank. The sun will rise and set. The earth will continue to revolve around the sun. Water will remain wet. And our lives will remain the same unless something changes. So the lifestyle you chose, is that going to help you get where you want to go? Hopping on this podcast is our friend Justin Serna. This dude is awesome! Super fun to talk to and has a crazy amount of stories which unfortunately we did not have time to unfold them all. The podcast would have been a lot longer if we did. But Justin surprised us with some interesting ideas and past experiences. With those past experiences, he is now working with one of the most famous hard enduro riders in the world… Graham Jarvis! Can't wait for you to find out more!Enjoy!Be sure to join The Action Sports Club so you can learn how to land sponsorships and spend more time riding.

Check out our line of enduro, MX, MTB, and ADV helmet specific chin mounts for actions cameras! - https://shop.wannabes.life In our second episode of the WannaBes Mobcast we talk to Anthony Johnson, the up and coming EnduroCross racer who is making a name for himself not only on the track but also on social media as well. Check out Anthony Johnson on Instagram here. https://www.instagram.com/anthonyjohn... In our first episode we got to hear from Graham Jarvis who we all know is one of the greatest riders of all time. For this episode we decided to go to the other end of the spectrum and learn form someone who is just starting out his enduro racing career. Anthony Johnson is 19 years old and lives in Northern Idaho where he trains to take the podium. We talked to Anthony about how he got started and what sparked his interest in EnduroCross, his training routine, riding in Idaho, cross training, and enduro techniques that were very insightful for anyone who rides. Among many other interesting things about Anthony, he rides a Sherco 300 which of course we had to know more about that as well as how he sets up his bike. Living in an area where we don't see many Sherco's, we found it very interesting to learn about the bikes form someone who has a lot of seat time on one. We finished the podcast by talking a bit about how Anthony intends to make a career out of being a professional athlete, not only through the traditional means of sponsorship but also thought the use of social channels and other methods. Lastly we had a few bonus questions that lead to a great story and a good laugh that you'll have to watch the episode to hear about :)
Check out Graham's website for the Jarvis Signature Tours, Jarvis Race Team, and Jarvis Race Gear. https://www.grahamjarvis.org Also check out the Graham Jarvis Academy as soon as it is available for great training videos to improve your technique. WannaBes MobCast Episode 1 Show Notes: It's official, the WannaBes have a podcast! To get things started, we go big, all the way to top of Enduro riding with our first guest - Graham Jarvis. For most enduro riders, G-Force Jarvis doesn't need much introduction. But we'll give ours anyway and then let the man himself explain how he describes his career. We kick off our conversation with the Silent Assassin by chatting a bit about his recent knee injury, how it happened, and where it's left him these last few weeks. Graham Jarvis shows his competitive side, and gives us a sense for why he's held the top spot in Enduro competition for so long. From there, we get into technique (use your clutch more he tells us), fitness routines (workout your way, just stay fit), how to stay hydrated on the bike, and why Jarvis crushed his own shed :). Jarvis tells us his take on staying in the game in your 40s and gives us a few hints about how to keep our heads in the race even when we're DONE (spoiler - you have to want it more!). As business owners in the Enduro space, we were of course interested in the Graham Jarvis empire (as we call it) and we spend some time exploring his many business ventures from his world-class tour franchise to his signature race gear and of course, his 1 million Instagram followers. We ask Jarvis about his business plans for the near future, and encourage a class right here in CA (after COVID perhaps...). We wrap our conversation with audience questions, shotgun style (message us if you want your question featured on our next show). And that's a show folks!! Tune in each month for a new guest, and join us on our journey to learn the deepest secrets of Enduro magic ;)

This was a real treat to have such a lengthy chat with Graham Jarvis. We caught up with Graham a couple of weeks ago while he is currently recovering from a knee injury that has currently seen him off the bike for an extended period of time. Graham is someone who I have wanted to interview for a while now, as his ability in enduro are clear for everyone to see. Most people know Graham comes from a trials background so I was keen to explore those early days which are meaningful achievements in their own right, it's just that they have been somewhat dwarfed by his career 2.0 in hard enduro. We discuss the transition from trials to enduro and what advice he would give to aspiring riders and reflect on his many achievements in the enduro world as a multiple winner of the Red Bull Romaniacs, Ezberg, and Sea to Sky as well as Hells Gate. We look at the approach to events and how that differs between the two disciplines. We round it out with a chat about what is next for Graham and discuss his Race Team, Clothing Line, Signature Tours and training programs. Ladies and gentleman, I give you my chat with Graham Jarvis. Some dreams really do come true. It may take 40+ years, but SO WHAT?!? Greg Mullavey, Greg Mullavey was worth the wait. A die-hard Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman fan, who missed nary a one of the 325 episodes, which in 1977, pre VCRs, and COVID, when I actually had a life and did stuff, required some effort and diehard devotion, spent today in fangirl heaven. Best part, Greg exceeded all of my very high expectations. Having heard how lovely he is, witnessing his grace first hand, his exemplary social conscience, his authenticity, warmth, thoughtfulness, intelligence, off-the-charts talent, and generosity of spirit moved me… more like blew me away. We talked about Fernwood, of course. His audition with Louise Lasser, to being cast by creator Norman Lear and director, Joan Darling… Mary Kay Place, Dabney Coleman, Graham Jarvis, Dody Goodman, the genuine laughs and fun of it all. We circled back to growing up in Buffalo NY with his major league ballplaying father, Greg Mulleavy, a White and Red Sox, to coaching the Brooklyn and then LA Dodgers, playing baseball himself, only discovering theatre in the Army, where everything turned on a dime. Greg tells the tale with passion and flare. Starting out in theatre in NY, working his way to Hollywood, parts on Bonanza, and loads of other shows before landing as Tom Hartman, the career and life changer. Studying, always studying (still today), in-class with Nicholson, Hopper, and Harry Dean Stanton, meeting Meredith MacRae, their idyllic love story which played out off-screen and on. His father-in-law, Gordon MacRae, hot tubing with Jennifer Jones, working with Natalie Wood, Richard Burton, Mia Farrow, how approaches the work, and teaches it to others. Throughout Greg's great storytelling he pulled out dialect after dialect, all delivered flawlessly, without effect. Such mastery of craft. I can't wait to witness his return to the stage, post-pandemic. Out here auditioning, I sure hope he lands something worthy of his talents with lotsa meat. I wanna watch and savor. Greg's acting is high art. So is his humanity. Food for the COVID crazy soul, Greg shared his health regimens––supplements, nutrients, and meditation, to his thoughts on masking and vaxxing. He's the whole package, brains, heart, soul, and talent out the wazoo. For this fangirl, I'm floating over the rainbow tonight. Tom Hartman lives! More importantly, so does Greg Mullavey. Stephen Foord is a local legend, and one of the humblest guys around. He has faced a number of challenges in his career, facing off with Graham Jarvis in Trials, as well as racing in 3 classes in one event in the 2013 Enduro cross for the chance at the big show. He has a never quit attitude and is so easy going. Well respected as a coach he is truly one of the good guys. We talk about his accident, and I hope you have some Kleenex on hand because it is quite a talk. I had the privilege to sit down with a local legend, Howard Lawrence. Creator of Bone Stock Racing. Fresh back from Red Bull Romaniacs, we talk about the event. What it takes to prepare, physical and mental training, budget, bikes, and what it is like to have a factory team style pit crew taking care of all the little things. What it is like to meet legends like Billy Bolt, Manny Lettenbichler, and how it feels to be trolled by Graham Jarvis. This was a great conversation. We had a few side bars and derailments so if you get lost I apologize. We start and end mid story. It runs for an hour, and I hope you find it as enjoyable as I did. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/comingupnexttime/message

Gary Macdonald is one of Scotland's most accomplished riders. He's competed in most of the SSDT since 2002, and almost all the times finished in the top 10. He was even the holder of the yellow plate at times which can be more pressure than some riders want. On top of this, he's won numerous Scottish trials championships, and even flirted with Trials in Europe competing himself and also working with Graham Jarvis on his campaigns. One of Gary's recent achievements has been to win the Pre 65 Scottish 2 day trials, which is unbelievably competitive as you will hear him describe. Although not currently actively riding trials as push bikes have become his more recent focus, Gary still makes an exception for the SSDT. I hope you enjoy this chat with Gary Mac. This is a throwback (it sounds strange saying that) to the very early lockdown days here in South Africa where Doug caught up with one of the most focused and talent young athletes he has met to date."From the moment I met Wade Young I knew that he would rise to become an icon on the Hard Enduro world not just in South Africa but on a global level too. He was extremely focused, approached his training and nutrition seriously and had that "killer" instinct when it came to being competitive."For this EP of SOMETHING FRESH, we talk about Wade's journey and how he has developed his recipe to WIN! Enjoy!Check out his bio below courtesy of Red Bull Media House:"This KwaZulu-Natal phenom first burst onto the scene in November 2012 when he became the youngest ever winner or the Roof of Africa in Lesotho. Some would say that winning one of toughest hard Enduro races on the planet so early on in your career is a fluke. But the manner in which he did it, beating second place by a full eleven minutes and finishing ahead of former winners such as 2011 victor Graham Jarvis (third) and three-time winner Chris Birch, speaks of a rider of class way beyond his years. In 2013, (then aged 17) he won the South African Championship in the Senior Off-Road class and took the title in the under-21 class. He also put in credible finishes at Harescramble and Romaniacs and was runner-up in the iconic King of The Hill event. Then in 2014 he took the big step up from heir apparent to main contender in the world of Hard Enduro. Not only did he win his second Roof of Africa title, but he also claimed both Ukupachu and King of the Hill Hard Enduro's and stood on the podium at Red Bull Romainiacs and Sea to Sky.On South African soil he successfully defended his overall South African Enduro championship title.2015 saw him once again focused on the World Hard Enduro circuit with a fourth place at Romaniacs (he was on course for a much higher finish until he drowned his bike on the final stage) a third place at Sea to Sky and a second at The Roof of Africa. In 2016 he signed with Factory Sherco and started the year with a big win at Hell's Gate. A crash at Sea To Sky (where he won the Forest Stage) saw him break a bone in his hand and put an unfortunate end to his season. He bounced back in 2017 however, and so far has won the German Wiesel-X extreme enduro, King of the Hill Hard Enduro in Romania and the XL Lagares. He followed this up with an epic 2018 winning three of the major global hard enduro events this year, taking out Red Bull Romaniacs, Red Bull Megawatt 111 in Poland and Sea to Sky in Turkey, among a string of other podium results. He then capped the year off by successfully defending his Roof of Africa title.2019 saw him start strong with a runner up finish at the Extreme XL Lagares in Portugal. Unfortunately he spent some time on the sidelines during the middle of the season after having to withdraw from Red Bull Romaniacs due to a crash. He came back strong during the latter part however, winning the American Hard Enduro Series (AHES) series as well as stringing together a host of big results around the globe, including second place at Sea to Sky, winning the Uncle Hard Enduro in South Borneo, Indonesia in late November and claiming the one-day Wildwood Rock Extreme earlier the same month. He also chalked up yet another Roof of Africa title - his fifth (and his third in a row). With that victory, Young cemented second place in the all-time Roof of Africa hall of fame ahead of Graham Jarvis (four victories) but getting closer to the legendary Alfie Cox, who has nine.."
On this episode, we speak with Graham Jarvis, one of the most well known names in motorcycle extreme enduro. Very likely you’ve seen videos of him riding his Husqvarna motorcycle over incredible obstacles, many times on the rear wheel only. And it’s important when you go off the grid on your motorcycle adventure, to know that you can depend on a GPS communication device to stay in touch with the people who matter, to let them know you’re safe. To find out more about a new satellite communicator, we talk to the president of the makers of ZOLEO. More motorcycle travel episodes available on Adventure Rider Radio at adventureriderradio.com. In this two part interview we meet David Knight (MBE), the enduro legend. David has won almost everything in enduro however his motorcycling career started in Trials. In this episode we explore David's origin in motorcycling, discuss his ascent from Isle of Mann trials to mainland UK, and how his yardstick for success went from his Dad to his Brother and ended up competing with the likes Graham Jarvis and Dougie Lampkin. David was so generous with his time we need to break this interview into two parts. Part 2 will be released next week. There is a little but of poor audio from about 16 mins until about 19mins but after that it clears up and is fine for the rest of the recording. Although this is not our usual Friday release schedule, I had this interview ready to go and so thought I would release an extra one this week. Trevor is former Australian TdN representative and rides in the Expert class. Despite only riding in 4 trials in 2019, Trevor turned up at the Aussie Titles and placed a respectable 7th. Trevor is not just about trials; in 2011 he was 2nd behind Graham Jarvis at the Wildwood Extreme enduro and continues his passion with both disciplines. We discuss Trev's memorable year in 2007 where he travelled to Europe, competing as a guest in some world rounds and also did the SSDT. We recorded this episode on the 7th March at the Southern Trials Riders event held that weekend. Trevor was not only gracious enough to allow us access to the property for the event but also was providing coaching for higher grade riders. It was such a good event, made all the better by such good coaching. I'd like to thank Trevor for his willingness to give the podcast a go. I know he was a bit unsure about the concept but I, and I'm sure all the listeners, appreciate him giving it a go. Click here to buy: https://adbl.co/33PExjw Graham Jarvis has been at the top of off-road motorcycling for the best part of twenty-five years and has competed in hundreds of competitions and races all over the world, from TV's Junior Kickstart in the early 1990s to the fabled and ridiculously perilous two-day Italian event Hell's Gate, which he has dominated in recent years and which is one of motorsport's most feared events. Having excelled at Trials and Enduro, Graham moved into the high-ocatane world of Extreme Enduro, one of the most exhilarating sports on two wheels, in 2011. Since then, he has won Extreme Enduro's five major competitions -the Erzberg Rodeo, the Red Bull Sea to Sky, the Red Bull Romaniacs, the Tough One and the chilling Hell's Gate - no fewer than twenty-five times, making him one of motorsport's most successful riders. In To Hell's Gate and Back, Graham will take us from his early years in Canterbury, where he started out on an old BMX bike that his dad had rescued from the tip, to competing against up to 1,800 riders in races where dozens are often airlifted to hospital, and only three or four finish . . . with Graham usually at the head of the field. It is a story of dedication, skill and, above all, an extreme passion for off-road motorcycling.

Graham Jarvis successfully defended his Roof of Africa title at the final Hard Enduro of the year. The 41-year-old out-gunned a charging Alfredo Gómez, with South African Scott Bouverie rounding out the podium after three days of brutal racing in Lesotho.

Graham Jarvis brought an epic hard enduro season to a close with victory at the Red Bull Sea to Sky. With all eyes on Jonny Walker to see if he could wrap up the perfect season by winning in Turkey, Jarvis was determined to keep the Grand Slam out of reach for his fellow Brit.
Three was a charm for Jonny Walker as the KTM rider took his first Red Bull Romaniacs win at his third time of trying. Walker resisted pressure from 2013 winner Graham Jarvis to deny the defending champion his fifth win in Romania.
