The building already had a reputation before she moved in.Residents talked about shadow figures in the hallways. Strange movement near corners. The uneasy feeling that someone else was there when the corridors were empty. Considering the land beneath the flats once housed a smallpox home where countless people died, she tried not to think too much about it.Then she spent her first night there.Almost immediately, she began waking up at the exact same time every night with the overwhelming sensation that something was standing in the corner of the room watching her sleep. At first, she ignored it. Until the lights started changing on their own. They lived with each other on Tv and now they do it in real life. Surely they have spent enough time together! Plus, Kate reveals she has never had a housemate! Is it a right of passage?See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Today's podcast was a mix of chaos, confessions and absolute nonsense. Inspired by Oonagh's everyday dramatic life moments, we chatted about the unexpected things that make adults cry — and listeners had some very relatable answers. We also heard from a listener who needed to Get It Off Her Chest after dealing with a seriously hairy housemate issue that sparked plenty of reactions. Plus, after an awkward on-air moment, Oonagh may have accidentally found herself a brand-new side hustle narrating adult audiobooks.
On today's Get It Off Your Chest, a listener from Sligo shared a house-share dilemma that had listeners completely divided. “Mary” says a new girl moved into her house and things have become awkward in the shared space. From what she wears around the house to questions around boundaries and comfort levels, she's wondering if she's overreacting or if there are certain unspoken rules when living with housemates. After one particularly uncomfortable kitchen encounter, she decided she had to vent and ask for advice. Cue a flood of opinions from listeners on house-share etiquette, personal habits and whether Mary was being honest… or harsh.
It's time for Get It Off Your Chest, where listeners share the problems, frustrations, and downright bizarre situations they're dealing with.Today's message comes from a listener who recently moved in with a college friend… and has discovered a breakfast habit they simply cannot accept.Every single morning without fail, his housemate sits down before work with a steaming bowl of mushroom soup. Not as a hangover cure. Not because he's sick. Just… as breakfast. And if that wasn't strange enough, sometimes he chops a potato into it too
In a world so divided by hate, how can we choose to show love? This week we are joined by journalist Jan Fran, who unpacks the horror of witnessing horror.

What do people really take from parties that they're not supposed to?
It's time for Get It Off Your Chest, where listeners share the situations they're struggling with—and we help them figure out what to do next.Today's message comes from a listener who's finding it really tough living with her housemates. The issue? They all speak Irish with each other in the house, and she doesn't understand a word. What started as a small thing has turned into her feeling completely left out, isolated, and not part of the group at all.Is this just a cultural/language difference she needs to adapt to, or should her housemates be making more of an effort to include her?
A new “Rhyme It” winner is crowned — and their job has to be heard to be believed. Plus, a listener is at their wits' end with a messy housemate, and Cooper and Oonagh bring pure chaos to the studio.
This “Get It Off Your Chest” segment features a listener dealing with a frustrating and upsetting situation at home, where her housemate constantly food shames and tracks what she's eating. We break down the issue and share advice on how to respond, stand your ground, and protect your peace in a shared living space.

Step into the world of one of Big Brother Australia 2025’s most unexpectedly iconic housemates. Vinnie might not have taken out the title but his brutal “Jingle Bells” eviction has left a lasting impression on the viewers. Who are still getting over his snap eviction. Fresh out of the Big Brother house, Vinnie relives the moment he was literally woken up and punted out of the game in seconds. He explains why, despite the shock, he now sees his eviction as one of the most iconic exits in Big Brother history and why he actually feels lucky he skipped the usual all-day eviction anxiety. In this revealing conversation, Vinnie tackles the “fake” narrative head on. From Jane’s game-changing comment to Edward’s big public vote and Connor’s behind-the-scenes moves. He opens up about what the live stream showed that the daily episodes didn’t. How it felt to be branded fake while others quietly played harder and why he still believes he was “the winner without winning the show”. We also dive into strategy, romance and life after Big Brother. Vinnie breaks down his real gameplay, the unexpected power of being the house barber, why he chose to stay single in the house and which couples he doesn’t see lasting in the real world. Plus, he shares his pick to win, what the Dreamworld rides really revealed about a secret in the house and his hopes for a future in acting, presenting and music. Timestamps & Key Takeaways: 2:00 – Vinnie relives his “Jingle Bells” eviction and explains why the shock, speed and lack of warning made it one of the most brutal exits of all time – and why he’s strangely glad he skipped the long eviction-day anxiety 3:55 – The “Vinnie is fake” storyline: how Jane’s comment flipped the house, why age doesn’t equal wisdom and why he believes the label says more about others than it ever did about him 6:35 – Edward’s so-called villain edit and Connor’s gameplay: Vinnie reacts to what he’s seen on TV vs the live stream and talks about being accused of 'fakeness' by people he now sees as playing harder than he ever did 8:40 – Strategy & barber-chair intel: Vinnie breaks down his real game plan, why he didn’t go “snaky”, and how cutting hair became his secret weapon for connection inside the house 11:00 – Love, lust and life after the show: why Vinnie stayed single, his hilarious “relationship” with Stephanie the pillow and his brutally honest prediction about which Big Brother couples won’t last on the outside 13:20 – Why he’s backing Emily to win the show and how a $100k prize could transform her life as a young teacher planning a family 14:40 – Dreamworld ride confessions: fans yelling “have my baby”, spotting repeat offenders by their tattoos and why the rides were the housemates’ only “TV” to the outside world 16:05 – What’s next for Vinnie: from barbering to music, acting and TV presenting. He shares his big-picture dreams (including why he could easily see himself co-hosting alongside Mel) Whether you’re still reeling from his midnight eviction or you’ve fallen for his charm on the live stream, this episode is a must-listen for anyone who loves Big Brother. Not all hauntings announce themselves with screams in the night or flickering lights caught on camera. Some creep in silently—moments so ordinary yet so chilling, they burn themselves into memory forever. This is one of those true stories. It begins in the safest of places: a bright, modern Methodist church. No gothic spires, no crumbling stone, no shadows dancing in candlelight. Just clean carpets, hymn books, and Sunday prayers. But for one child, everything changed the moment they opened their eyes. Because standing at the altar was a monk. Not the pastor. Not anyone from the congregation. A solid, robed figure—watching. Present. Real. And then… gone. That single vision opened the door to a lifetime of paranormal encounters. At university, the hauntings followed. Tools vanished from a design board—only to reappear when politely requested. Housemates saw figures standing silently in bedrooms. Later, in an architect's office in the Peak District, footsteps echoed on a spiral staircase, and even the receptionist swore she was speaking to someone who wasn't there. But the most unsettling hauntings came in the countryside churches. Some radiated warmth, like stepping into a family home. Others pressed down with a crushing sadness so overwhelming that surveyors abandoned their work mid-project. Even vicars—men and women of faith—grew uneasy in their own sanctuaries. No screams, no violence. Just grief so heavy it consumed anyone who lingered. This is not the story of a single haunted house. It's the story of a life marked again and again by the unseen. A monk who didn't belong. Tools that moved on their own. Shadows that whispered just out of sight. Evidence? None. But feelings don't lie. Once you've stepped into a space marked by the dead, you never walk out unchanged. If you've ever felt eyes on you in an empty church… if you've ever sensed sadness that wasn't your own… this true haunting will chill you to the core. #HauntedChurch #TrueGhostStory #RealHaunting #ParanormalEncounters #GhostStories #CreepyTrueStories #HauntedPlaces #GhostCaughtOnCamera #ParanormalActivity #ScaryChurchStories #TrueParanormal #Supernatural Love real ghost stories?
