This interview has definitely been one of my favorites thus far. One of the things that most people don't talk about, is how LONELY entrepreneurship can be. Especially when you are just starting out or a solo entrepreneur, it can feel so daunting to know where to start, who to trust, who to ask - and to add being a MOTHER on top of that?... You've got a whole new world of trials and tribulations and balancing. That is why Inbal created The Like Minded Collective - as a Mompreneur herself, she wanted to create a safe place for other female founders to come together and get their voices heard, network, share, ask questions and LEARN from other women - to build COMMUNITY instead of competition. It is why I myself have been so passionate going into 2023 about intentionally building more community in my life. About intentionally building my "village" both online AND in person as an entrepreneur, which is why I felt called to creat the Finger Lakes Fempreneur Society so that I can help support other local female founders do the same, and perhaps bring more relationships and possibilities that they never could have created on their own. I cannot wait for you to listen in to today's incredible episode, and if you are a local female entrepreneur - JOIN The Finger Lakes Fempreneur Society HERE! Inbal Claudio is an entrepreneur, military spouse, and mom from Southern California. In 2019, she started researching influencer marketing tactics for her small business, but the platforms she discovered were completely out of her budget. Inbal launched GOLDWICK her own candle company but after starting her family she realized the need to focus more time on social media and online sales vs. in person events. She came up with the idea for Like Minded Collective and this work with influencers and small business owners met a need for small businesses the market wasn't serving.Leadership Principle: Do what I can! I talk with Inbal Claudio, owner/founder of Like Minded Collective. We talk about how she created a tech startup while parenting small kids, marketing tips, and how messaging is important. Inbal was born in Israel, and aside from a 4-year stint in North Carolina has spent the majority of her life in Southern California where she currently lives with her husband and 2 little daughters. She's always had an entrepreneurial drive and has had multiple jobs & companies - management, restaurants, real estate - and 5 years ago started her candle company. She then realized there was a gap in the influencer marketing space for small businesses and brands, so she realized she had to create a platform to help the millions of entrepreneurs that were being overlooked (including her own). You can find out more about Inbal and her project here: https://www.likemindedcollective.com/
Sometimes you must change your course of direction in life and that's okay. In this segment, Inbal Claudio shares how she went from candle maker to tech founder based on the changes in her life. Her why was to create an ecosystem for nano influencers, micro influencers, and female entrepreneurs because she did not have a welcoming experience when she started her business. Ep. 84 – Influencer Marketing with Inbal Claudio This week, Mike sits down with his sister-in-law Inbal Claudio. Inbal shares her story and journey into entrepreneurship. She has started a candle company, Goldwick Candles just over two years ago. They share how many common struggles with just starting a business can be a scarcity mindset of thinking on ways to fail before even giving themselves a chance. Inbal stresses how important confidence is in finding your uniqueness within yourself and your product. Initially her go-to-market strategy was finding influencers within social media to help her promote her product on a larger scale. However, challenges such as time and cost created struggles for her to get this going. Through her experience of this with her candles, it led her to an idea to create a platform called, Like-Minded, which is about to launch very soon this summer. Like-Minded Collective is an online platform for small businesses to find influencers to hire them to help promote their businesses. Yes, there are other sites out there that typically have minimums and cater to the large-scale businesses but her vision is a bit different. Like-Minded is geared to the start-up, small business owner as a way for them to connect to potential influencers out there to help spread the word of their business. Interested in learning more? *Inbal Claudio* is an entrepreneur, military wife, and mom from Southern California. Shortly after starting her own brokerage, she realized that real estate wasn’t for her and was inspired to get into the candle industry. Not too long after she launched her first business GOLDWICK, with the support of her now-husband, to make and sell candles that are non-toxic, natural, and clean. While her business was expanding, she and her husband would soon find out they were moving from California to North Carolina for the next 4 years. Having GOLDWICK made this transition a lot easier since she could take the candles with her and make them in North Carolina. She traveled all over the state doing shows, talking to boutiques, meeting tons of people, and then found out that she was pregnant with her first child. In 2019, Inbal started researching influencer marketing tactics for her first business and realized that finding the perfect influencer was more difficult than she thought. The platforms she discovered were completely out of her budget and requirements that her small business didn’t meet. Inbal’s own experiences lead her to decide to do the next best thing which is to create a platform where everyone is welcome. *Create beautiful, engaging social media in 5 minutes a day -* www.RiseUpCreatives.com ( https://www.riseupcreatives.com ) *Connect with Inbal:* * Lm-Collective.com ( http://www.Lm-collective.com ) * Goldwick-Candles.com ( http://www.goldwick-candles.com ) * Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/inbigvili ) * Facebook - Like.Minded Collective ( https://www.facebook.com/like.minded.co ) * Facebook - Goldwick Candles ( https://www.facebook.com/Goldwick ) * Instagram ( https://www.instagram.com/inbiclaudio/ ) * Instagram - Like.Minded.Collective ( https://www.instagram.com/inbiclaudio/ ) * Instagram - Goldwick Candles ( https://www.instagram.com/goldwick_candles/ ) * LinkedIn ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/inbalclaudio/ ) * LinkedIn - Like.Minded Collective ( https://www.linkedin.com/company/like-minded-collective/ ) *Don’t Miss A Single Episode:* * *Subscribe* on Apple Podcasts ( https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/inspiration-rising/id1448649388 ) , Google Podcasts ( https://play.google.com/music/m/Iqrp5q3bagph2t23malprd3dxvy?t=Launch_Yourself_Today ) , Spotify ( https://open.spotify.com/show/42zIsXzjCibZt49xdCRvB4 ) , or Stitcher ( https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/in-plain-sight/launch-yourself-today ). * *Leave a quick review* on any of the podcast apps to tell people what you think about the show. * *Take a screenshot of the podcast* and post it on Instagram or Instagram Stories.
